The theme of God as a divine warrior (see Exodus 14:14) spans the landscape of Scripture. Exodus 15 poetically depicts God at war with Pharaoh’s army, saying, “The Lord is a warrior” (v. 3). One Bible encyclopedia has this to say: “In the New Testament, the Divine Warrior theme is fulfilled in the person and work of Jesus Christ. While the imagery shifts from physical battles to spiritual warfare, the essence of God as a warrior remains. In Revelation, Christ is depicted as the ultimate Divine Warrior who will defeat evil and establish His kingdom.” Today, when faced with temptation, we can rest in God, who fights for us.

Psalm 19:1-14 CEB Heaven is declaring God’s glory; the sky is proclaiming his handiwork. [2] One day gushes the news to the next, and one night informs another what needs to be known. [3] Of course, there’s no speech, no words—their voices can’t be heard— [4] but their sound extends throughout the world; their words reach the ends of the earth. God has made a tent in heaven for the sun. [5] The sun is like a groom coming out of his honeymoon suite; like a warrior, it thrills at running its course. [6] It rises in one end of the sky; its circuit is complete at the other. Nothing escapes its heat. [7] The LORD’s Instruction is perfect, reviving one’s very being. The LORD’s laws are faithful, making naive people wise. [8] The LORD’s regulations are right, gladdening the heart. The LORD’s commands are pure, giving light to the eyes. [9] Honoring the LORD is correct, lasting forever. The LORD’s judgments are true. All of these are righteous! [10] They are more desirable than gold—than tons of pure gold! They are sweeter than honey—even dripping off the honeycomb! [11] No doubt about it: your servant is enlightened by them; there is great reward in keeping them. [12] But can anyone know what they’ve accidentally done wrong? Clear me of any unknown sin [13] and save your servant from willful sins. Don’t let them rule me. Then I’ll be completely blameless; I’ll be innocent of great wrongdoing. [14] Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be pleasing to you, LORD, my rock and my redeemer.

Psalm 68 celebrates God as a mighty warrior who’ll defeat evil (vv. 1-2). It draws on the imagery of the song in Exodus 15 that celebrates God delivering His people from Egypt. In Psalm 68, He’s depicted as “[riding] on the clouds” (v. 4) while scattering “his enemies” (v. 1). The retelling of the exodus deliverance concludes by describing a victory parade that ends with God dwelling and reigning as king (v. 18). The rest of Psalm 68 (vv. 19-35) praises the enthroned God, recognizing that His people are completely dependent on Him. The psalm entreats, “Summon your power, God; show us your strength, our God, as you have done before” (v. 28). God is a gentle warrior who fights for justice, who “leads out the prisoners with singing” (v. 6) and “daily bears our burdens” (v. 19). Today, as we reflect on the awesomeness of God, we can celebrate His great love for us.

Gideon had no idea what God was purpose, Gideon feel small weak and unworthy and afraid but God saw, not what Gideon was but what he become through Him that's how God sees you. We live in a time when fear and doubt often hold people captive, but the message of Gideon story is clear. When God's calls Gideon means God saw something different, he didn't need to be the strongest or the bravest he just needed to trust obey. You may feel weak, afraid or insignificant you may think your past mistakes or failures have disqualified you from God's purpose but the Lord says "I am with you mighty warrior" Mighty warrior means showed extreme bravery in battle, skill in battle unwavering determination, valor loyalty and ability to inspire a soldier. When God is with you, you are never defeated He takes the ordinary and does the extraordinary. Remember your weakness is perfect place for God to show His strength, the Lord is with you! He will fight your battles, strengthen your heart and make you victorious in His name. The lesson God can achieve things great things through smallest effort all He ask is your faith and obedience, without faith it is impossible to please God, success in life comes from God and is marked by purity, peace and good fruit. #ToGodBeAllTheGlory #AllThingsArePossible

Laboring and Prospering with the LORD 1. A Song of Ascents. Of Solomon. Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain. 2. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; They shall not be ashamed, But shall speak with their enemies in the gate.

The Sword of the Spirit The Greek word for "word" here is rhema; the specific, spoken, Spirit-illuminated utterance applied to a precise situation. The sword of the Spirit is not the general knowledge that the Bible exists; it is the specific Word, quickened by the Holy Spirit, that cuts through precisely the lie or temptation confronting you in this moment. To wield the sword effectively, you must know it. A soldier who has never trained with his weapon is at a disadvantage in the heat of battle. Saturate yourself in the Word of God, not merely as a devotional exercise but as combat training. The Word you have stored in your heart is the Word you will have available when the battle is fiercest. Press forward armed with the rhema Word, sharp and ready. PRAYER: Gracious Heavenly Father, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance the specific Word I need for every battle I face. Sharpen my sword through daily time in Scripture. Let me be a skilled and prepared warrior of the Word. In Jesus' name! Hallelujah! Amen!
