This incident teaches us an important spiritual lesson — the losses that come when we leave a good servant. 1) Spiritual growth stops. If Barnabas had remained with a strong spiritual leader like Paul, he would have had greater opportunities in ministry. But after separating, that level of impact was not seen. Reference: Hebrews 13:7 2) We lose the opportunities given by God. Paul later established many churches and did great ministry. If Barnabas had been part of that journey, he too would have shared in that glory. Reference: Acts 16:4–5 3) We lose spiritual covering. A good servant is like protection to us.
