"Life is wasted if we do not grasp the glory of the cross, cherish it for the treasure that it is, and cleave to it as the highest price of every pleasure and the deepest comfort in every pain. What was once foolishness to us — a crucified God — must become our wisdom and our power and our only boast in this world."

“My message is like a fire, and like a hammer that breaks rocks to pieces.” GNB
When we look at the world today, we can see the destruction, the immorality, the evil that is consuming everyone and everything. People have lost their way. They have turned their backs on God and mock those who still follow the path of righteousness. We are, in fact being tormented by Lucifer himself. He roams earth and seeks whom he can destroy.
Revelation 12:9 & 17: “The huge dragon was thrown out – that ancient serpent, called the Devil, or Satan, that deceived the whole world. He was thrown down to earth, and all his angels with him….. The dragon was furious with the woman and went off to fight against the rest of her descendants, all those who obey God’s commandments and are faithful to the truth revealed by Jesus.” GNB
Thus the battle is on-going and, if not for the help of the holy Host and God Himself, believers would be far worse off than they are. We have been forewarned, though, and we have been given a means to fight this battle. You see, God’s Word can be wielded in battle against the evil that seeks to destroy us!
Ephesians 6:12: “For we are not fighting against human beings but against the wicked spiritual forces in the heavenly world, the rulers, the authorities, and the cosmic powers of this dark age.” GNB
The Word of God is a double-edged sword which can cut through to your soul. It is powerful and holds truths which can lead you to salvation. You will be unable to ignore the message. The Word of God is also a true weapon, a sharp sword that can defend us against the darkness in the world. It is described as part of the armour of God in Ephesians.
Ephesians 6:17: “And accept salvation as a helmet, and the word of God as the sword which the Spirit gives you.” GNB
The onslaught of the enemy is subtle. He will come dressed up and pretty, like an angel of light, but in the end he will try to bring you down (2 Corinthians 11:14). But you don’t have to fear this fight, for God Himself and His angels, the Holy Host, will fight with you. If you wield the Word as a sword, you will be victorious. Look again at the scripture for today. God says His Word is like fire and like a hammer; it will burn those against you and break them into pieces.
Jeremiah 5:14: “…I will make my words like a fire in your mouth. The people will be like wood, and the fire will burn them up.” GNB
And here, directly from scripture, from the Word of God, comes comfort and encouragement, for God will NOT ABANDON you in the midst of your strife. He WILL fight with you with a power that no-one can imagine.
1 John 4:4: “But you belong to God, my children, and have defeated the false prophets, because the Spirit who is in you is more powerful than the spirit in those who belong to the world.” GNB

- Devotion: Luke 10:19
Luke 10:19: “Listen! I have given you authority, so that you can walk on snakes and scorpions and overcome all the power of the Enemy, and nothing will hurt you.”
Thoughts:
Accepting Jesus Christ as your Saviour and thus inviting the Holy Spirit into your life, you also gain power through God; power to face even the most daunting enemies and challenges.
If you live your life in honor of God, if you understand that His presence in your life is a constant, you never need to be afraid again.
Fear makes us weak, it makes us doubt that God can intervene in time to save us. If we stand firm in the knowledge that we have power through our belief in the Lord, if we face the future with courageous hearts, we can (and will) overcome any obstacle in our way.
Fear gives the devil a foothold, he thrives on us being afraid and uses it against us. When we take our stand against evil, against the world, knowing that we are children of the Almighty; children with God-given power, even the devil and his minions will fall. Luke 10:17: “....Even the demons obeyed us when we gave them a command in your name."
A word of warning, though, remember that with this power comes a warning:
Luke 10:17: “But don’t be glad because the evil spirits obey you; rather be glad because your names are written in heaven.”
Therefore you should accept our God-given power and use it to quench the human fear still lurking in our lives. In our commitment to God we can use this power to overcome even the darkest of enemies and do so to glorify His name. For it is only through Him that we can claim this power and only with His blessing that we can use it in our daily battle.
Ask yourself:
Are you ready to accept God's challenge and take up the powerful sword God gave you? Are you ready to trust in Him so that you can live a life to His glory, victorious agaist the treachery of the world?

“The life of a Christian is a life of total selflessness. When we give we are not to give with a stingy heart, expecting to receive something in return. This is the same attitude Christ had for us. Christ didn’t come for us so that we could give Him something for his benefit. What can one give the King of Kings that He doesn’t have already? Nothing. This is why we are to only love God back, through our words, our thoughts, and our actions towards His children.”

- Daily devotion: Habakkuk 3:17-18
“Even though the fig trees have no fruit and no grapes grow on the vines, even though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no corn, even though the sheep all die and the cattle stalls are empty, I will still be joyful and glad, because the LORD God is my saviour.”
The one thing that no one can deny is that the human race is flailing under the oppression of pure evil. Never, in my lifetime, has the world been filled with so much anger, hatred and death. People are out of control. This current generation continues to mock God and the faithful. It also seems that nature itself turned its back on people. Fire and earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, volcanic eruptions, drought and famine, pestilence. And I’m not even mentioning the events happening in space.
The world is filled with godless people. You look at the news and see the devil in their eyes. They are not hiding anymore. These are similar to the days of Noah and it has been prophesied that, in endtimes, people will be selfish and arrogant, lovers of money and superficial appearances. They will mock our God and refuse to repent. They ask: “Where is this God of yours. Show me the scientific evidence of His existence.” Do they not understand that even THEY were CREATED by God. THEY are the evidence. Every single cell of all that lives on this planet, humans, animals, plants, has been made by God Himself. Our purpose on earth is to worship our Lord and to spread the gospel.
As Christians we should not fear the things that are happening and the things that are still coming. We may live difficult lives, but still we need to rejoice in the Lord. It may seem impossible to praise God in times of anguish, but just look at what Habakkuk 3:19 says: “The Sovereign LORD gives me strength. He makes me sure-footed as a deer, and keeps me safe on the mountains.”
God is within each one of us and we should look towards the future with joy and exaltation, for He is steadfast, He is almighty, He is the ONE God. He sees through the artificial smiles, He knows what troubles your heart and He will take care of you ALWAYS.

“…. Have faith in God. I assure you that whoever tells this hill to get up and throw itself in the sea and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.”
Friends, why is it that we so completely underestimate the power of faith? We are children of God, we are His disciples and we share in His almighty power.
We doubt ourselves far too much and sell ourselves short too often. It is time that we lay claim to what has been given, through faith.
Could you imagine life as a superhero? Saving the lives of many and changing the outcome of situations that would otherwise end up in disaster would be absolutely brilliant. Thing is, if our faith measures up, we can DO it. Why? Because God’s Word says so.
Luke 1:37: “For no word of God shall be void of power.”
Faith makes us stronger and, sometimes I wonder if we even understand what faith is. I once heard it explained by a very unlikely source, a character in one of my favourite novels by author Stephen King. The guy more or less said: “Faith is when you sit in a chair, knowing that it wouldn’t break and spill you to the floor. You trust it will hold.” [from ‘Pet Sematary’ by Stephen King]
I know you are all gasping at the fact that I actually read these books, but stop focusing on the origin of the explanation and see the point I’m trying to make, please. Faith is trusting that something will be as you expect it will. Without a shred of doubt. You accept it as fact.
When we pray and ask God for something, the human in us whispers: “Why do you even ask? You know this won’t happen.” Doubting Thomas?? Yes, indeed. Actually, I suspect it is not the human in us that does the whispering, it is Satan, trying to sow uncertainty to orchestrate failure.
If you throw faith into the equation, if you believe your prayers will be answered beyond a shadow of a doubt, you can silence that whisper.
What are you waiting for? Give it a try….and BELIEVE.

“To have faith is to be sure of the things we hope for, to be certain of the things we cannot see.”
We all come to a point in life where we doubt and worry. We stand at a crossroads not knowing which way to go.
The future looms ahead, threatening our inner peace, while the past, with its traumatic memories drags us deeper into the darkness.
I need you to remember that you, as a child if God, redeemed and set free of your sins are already believing in something we cannot see. We cannot go back in time and listen to Jesus telling parables to the masses, but we can have faith that this really happened.
These modern days can be daunting to anyone, believers included. We are human, therefore we struggle with human troubles. But faith and hope lies with our Higher Power, our God who created us, His Son who died for us and the Holy Spirit that lives in us.
So, dear friends, stop this constant worrying about what was and what is to come. God gave you this day to rejoice in. Go ahead, shrug off the heavy burdens you carry and enjoy this moment.
And, when you look back, allow yourself to see how God carried you through difficult times. He is eternal and is always with us. Open your heart in prayer and let God guide you through life.
Trust Him in every situation. Through His power you will conquer every temptation the evil one sends to you. Do not fear, but persist in prayer.

The psalmist also emphasizes his own struggle with sin. He says in verse 5-6:”I have been evil since the day I was born; from the time I was conceived I have been sinful.”
Do you see how he acknowledged his own sinful nature? He also knew that nothing but the grace of God will grant forgiveness. While trapped in sin, he longed for the days that he was happy, carefree and at peace.
Does this sound familiar? Are you also longing for times that you experienced gladness and joy? Do you feel ashamed of your wrongdoings past and present? I have a message for you. Ephesians 1:7 states: “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace.”
Do you understand that you will not be lost in the darkness forever? Trust in God and grab the holy hands of Jesus Christ as he reach out to save you from the quagmire of bitterness, sorrow, hate, doubt, fear and all those bad choices you have made. Confess your sins and surrender to Him. Let the cross be the symbol of redemption for you. Remember that you are never so far gone that the loving embrace of our Lord cannot find you. Just allow Him to pull you out of the mire in which you lay. Let Him take back out of the darkness into the gentle Light if our Father.

The weapons we use in our fight are not the world’s weapons, but God’s powerful weapons, which we use to destroy strongholds. We destroy false arguments; we pull down every proud obstacle that is raised against the knowledge of God; we take every thought captive and make it obey Christ.” GNBUK
There are times in life when we feel entangled, overwhelmed and trapped by negative thoughts and the challenges that are causing the pain. Do you realize that the prison you’ve created for yourself will only become more and more draining until you barely have the strength to function?
The power of healing from these destructive forces lies with God, through the blood of Jesus Christ. You may feel completely lost now, but remember, God has your back.
He will help you to put every negative (false) believe on ‘trial’ and disprove it. For example: you say: “I am worthless”. This is a negative thought that can profoundly influence your behavior. You may wonder where this thought came from; well some originated in childhood where you suffered emotional neglect, perhaps someone said something (calling it a joke or sarcasm) but you experienced it as criticism and only fed this negative thought that you are not really of any value.
The time has come now, while you still have the good sense to take control of your life, to sweep away these false beliefs like you would do with dust in your house. The scripture tells us that it is a war; a war against the false beliefs ingrained by external factors. You need to take control of your life and ignore the negative input in the name of Christ.
Remember NOTHING is impossible with God. He knows you and understands your pain. Just NEVER GIVE UP believing, trust God and don’t be in such a hurry to solve your problems. God will patiently wait until the right time to show His power in your life.Day Devotion The weapons we use in our fight are not the world’s weapons, but God’s powerful weapons, which we use to destroy strongholds. We destroy false arguments; we pull down every proud obstacle that is raised against the knowledge of God; we take every thought captive and make it obey Christ.” GNBUK There are times in life when we feel entangled, overwhelmed and trapped by negative thoughts and the challenges that are causing the pain. - Daily devotion: 2 Peter 3:9
Have you ever wondered why your life is so miserable? You pray to God to lift this gloominess from your soul and nothing happens. You pray for others, you stand in the gap for them and you pray that the fire of the Holy Spirit enters their lives. And, still nothing.
But just by reading scripture through which the one and only God speaks to you. You’ll find that He is a kind and loving King who wishes that mankind can be released from the demonic forces that is now so obvious all around the world.
I can think of a few people that really behave outside God’s peace and I thank you, my Lord, that I have the heavenly powers helping me to turn their eyes upon Jesus at last.
Every moment in your life should bring glory to God, so be the messenger that encourages these lost souls to turn to Him, once and for all.
God does NOT want anyone to be lost. He has built a temple, and, according to
Revelation 21:1 & 3:
“Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.
I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.”
Revelation 21:7-8: “He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life.
He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son. and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life.
He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son”
Forever turn your eyes to God even if you have to wait a long time. He hears your pleas, He knows your circumstances and He is waiting for you to repent.
We live in dire times, my friends, the end is coming for all who sinned against God. This is your opportunity to lay down your sorrow, pain, hatred, anxiety…whatever makes life impossible to live. This is YOUR moment!

People look at Christians in disbelief. Why? Because we believe in an unseen God. For a short while this God became a man, Jesus Christ, and he lived among the people of his time. He was a teacher, a prophet, a miracle worker and our Messiah.
The unfairness of his ending resonates through the ages. An innocent man, bearing the scorn and the torture of ignorant people and, finally, the crucifixion. Do you really understand what he did for us? He carried the burden of sin of every generation and gave them the opportunity to be forgiven. He was the final sacrifice and he went to it willingly.
Friends, He died for us and in his death we found redemption. In his resurrection we found a promise of life everlasting and in his ascension to heaven we received the hope of his return.
He sent the unseen Holy Spirit to support his people. This includes all nations that accept him as our Saviour.
Do you have the flame of the Holy Spirit burning in you? If not, seek it, for time is getting short and judgment is not far away.
Give your life to Christ, worship the unseen and you will be blessed.
