  • FRIDAY MORNING DEVOTION

JESUS CHRIST DIDN’T COME FOR THE RIGHTEOUS ONES

    Scripture: Luke 5:32

«“I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”»

    ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

THE STORY OF THE TAX COLLECTOR

Zacchaeus was a tax collector — a man many people disliked and considered a sinner.

But when Jesus passed by, Zacchaeus wanted to see Him.

Jesus saw him, called him, and went to his house.

That encounter with Jesus changed Zacchaeus.

He did not remain the same person he was before meeting Christ.

    Luke 19:8
Zacchaeus responded by deciding to make things right and give back to those he had wronged.

Jesus did not reject him because of his past.
Jesus reached him because He saw what grace could do in his life.

    ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

    THE APPLICATION TO OUR LIVES

YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE PERFECT TO COME TO JESUS.
Jesus meets us in our brokenness, failures, and struggles.

NEVER ALLOW YOUR PAST TO KEEP YOU FROM CHRIST.
Your past may explain where you have been, but it does not have to determine where you are going.

A TRUE ENCOUNTER WITH JESUS BRINGS CHANGE.
Grace does not give us permission to remain the same. It gives us strength to become different.

JESUS STILL SEEKS THE LOST TODAY.
The person you think is too far gone may be the very person Jesus is calling.

LET YOUR LIFE BECOME A TESTIMONY.
When Christ changes you, let others see His love, mercy, forgiveness, and transformation through your life.

    ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

    FRIDAY MORNING PRAYER

    Lord Jesus,

Thank You for coming not because we were perfect, but because we needed You.

Thank You for Your mercy, grace, and forgiveness.

Help us never to allow our past mistakes, failures, or weaknesses to separate us from You.

Give us a humble heart like Zacchaeus — a heart that is willing to repent, change, make things right, and follow You.

Help us also to look at others through Your eyes and not judge them by their past.

May our lives become a testimony of Your transforming love.

    In Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.

    ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

    REMEMBER THIS FRIDAY:

“NO ONE IS TOO LOST FOR JESUS TO FIND.
NO ONE IS TOO BROKEN FOR JESUS TO RESTORE.
NO ONE IS TOO FAR FOR JESUS TO REACH.”

COME TO JESUS JUST AS YOU ARE.
LET HIM CHANGE YOU INTO WHO HE CREATED YOU TO BE.

    HAVE A BLESSED FRIDAY.
Walk with Jesus. Live by faith. Share His love.

    DATE: FRIDAY 21ST AUGUST 2026

    TOPIC: BREAKING COVENANTS, PART 1

    MEMORIZE:
"But he rebelled against him in sending his ambassadors into Egypt, that they might give him horses and much people. Shall he prosper? shall he escape that doeth such things? or shall he break the covenant, and be delivered?" Ezekiel 17:15 (KJV)

    BIBLE READING: 1 SAMUEL 2:27-31
27 And there came a man of God unto Eli, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Did I plainly appear unto the house of thy father, when they were in Egypt in Pharaoh's house?

28 And did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to offer upon mine altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before me? and did I give unto the house of thy father all the offerings made by fire of the children of Israel?

29 Wherefore kick ye at my sacrifice and at mine offering, which I have commanded in my habitation; and honourest thy sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all the offerings of Israel my people?

30 Wherefore the Lord God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the Lord saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

31 Behold, the days come, that I will cut off thine arm, and the arm of thy father's house, that there shall not be an old man in thine house.

    MESSAGE:
God is faithful; He never breaks His promises, nor does He go back on His word. James 1:17 says that there is no variableness nor shadow of turning with Him. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8), and He never breaks His covenants. However, if a fellow breaks a covenant he or she has made with God, then God is under no obligation to keep His part of the covenant.

In Numbers 25:6-13, God made a covenant of eternal priesthood with Phinehas, Eleazar's son, because, in his zeal for the Lord, he struck a man and his concubine dead. However, in today's Bible reading, God told Eli, "I entered into a covenant that you and your father's house will stand before Me forever, but since you have broken the covenant, I am saying, let it be far from Me." Eli's carelessness annulled the covenant God made with his ancestor, Phinehas. As a result of the broken covenant, God's hedge of protection departed from Eli's household, and his two sons died on the same day. When Eli heard the news of their death, he also died that same day, along with the wife of one of his sons. This illustrates the importance of a covenant and that the consequence of breaking one is usually death.

The death of a person who is a party to a covenant typically releases such a person from fulfilling his or her part in the covenant; however, God remains faithful to His covenants, even after a person He is in covenant with dies. Deuteronomy 7:9 says that He keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him and keep His commandments to the thousandth generation. Exodus 34:7 tells us that He keeps mercy for thousands. When you keep your covenant with God, it will extend to your descendants. When God promised Abraham that through his seed, all the nations of the earth would be blessed (Genesis 22:18), that promise found its ultimate fulfilment in Jesus, who came 42 generations after Abraham, approximately 2,000 years later. When God promised David that he would always have a seed to sit on the throne (Psalm 89:3-4,29), He never broke His side of the covenant. That covenant was also fulfilled in Jesus.

Beloved, remain faithful to your covenant with God, for in doing so, you will release immeasurable blessings upon yourself and your descendants for generations to come.

    KEY POINT:
God is faithful; He never breaks His covenants.

  • *TODAY'S PROPHETIC DECLARATION - FRIDAY, 21ST AUGUST, 2026.*

    *PEACE, BE STILL!*

    Scripture:
“And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.” — Mark 4:39 (KJV).

*Reflection – Jesus Is Lord Over Every Storm*

The disciples were in a boat when a great storm arose. Although Jesus was with them, they became afraid and wondered if they would survive. Jesus arose, rebuked the wind, and commanded the sea: “Peace, be still.”

    The storm obeyed Him.

This reminds us that the presence of a storm does not mean the absence of God. Sometimes we may find ourselves in situations that seem beyond our control, but Jesus remains with us in the boat.

There may be storms in our family, ministry, work, business, studies, finances, relationships, or future. Yet the same Christ who calmed the sea is still Lord over every circumstance.

The greatest miracle is not only that Jesus can change the storm around us; He can also give us peace within us while we wait for the storm to pass.

Today, refuse to allow fear to have the final word. Speak faith over your situation and trust the One who has authority over every storm.

    *Prophetic Declaration:*
Today, I declare that Jesus Christ is Lord over every storm in my life. No situation is greater than His authority, and no problem is beyond His ability to handle.

I declare “Peace, be still!” over every storm troubling my heart, family, ministry, work, business, studies, relationships, and destiny.

Every storm of fear, anxiety, confusion, disappointment, delay, opposition, and uncertainty shall come under the authority of Jesus Christ.

I declare that every troubling wind blowing against my peace shall cease according to God's perfect will. Every raging situation shall receive divine intervention, and every troubled circumstance shall give way to God's peace.

Today, I receive supernatural peace in my heart. I will not be controlled by fear because Jesus is with me. I will not be overwhelmed by what I see because I know that God is greater than my circumstances.

I declare that the Lord shall calm every situation that is beyond my human ability to control. Where I cannot change circumstances, He shall give me grace to trust Him and wisdom to respond correctly.

I proclaim peace over my family and household. May every conflict, misunderstanding, tension, and anxiety give way to reconciliation, understanding, love, and divine peace.

I proclaim peace over my ministry, work, business, and studies. May confusion become clarity, difficulty become opportunity, and pressure become a testimony of God's faithfulness.

I declare that I shall not abandon my faith because of temporary storms. I will continue to pray, believe, work, and trust God until the calm comes.

Today, I receive courage to remain in the boat with Jesus. I will not jump into dangerous waters because of fear. I will remain steadfast and trust the One who is with me.

I declare that after every storm, there shall be a testimony. What was designed to frighten me shall become an opportunity for me to experience God's power more deeply.

    Jesus is in my boat.
Jesus is greater than my storm.
Jesus has authority over my circumstances.
    Jesus is my peace.
    Therefore, I will not fear.

Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen!

    *Action Steps for today:*
Begin with worship: Thank Jesus because He is Lord over every situation you may face today.

Read Mark 4:35–41: Meditate on how Jesus responded to the storm and the fear of His disciples.

Declare: “Jesus is with me in the boat. Therefore, I will not fear. Peace, be still!”

Identify your storm: Write down one situation that is troubling you and surrender it completely to Jesus in prayer.

Choose faith over fear: Whenever anxiety rises today, deliberately replace fearful thoughts with God's promises.

Speak peace: Be careful not to add fuel to conflict through angry or negative words. Let your words promote peace.

End the day with thanksgiving: Thank God for His presence with you, whether the storm has already ceased or you are still waiting for the calm.

    *Prayer:*
    Lord Jesus,
Thank You because You are with me in every storm of life. Thank You because no situation is greater than Your authority.

Today, I bring every storm in my life before You. Speak Your word of peace over my heart, my family, ministry, work, business, studies, relationships, and future.

Where there is confusion, speak peace.
Where there is fear, speak peace.
Where there is conflict, speak peace.
Where there is uncertainty, speak peace.
Where there is discouragement, speak peace.

Lord, calm every storm that is according to Your will to be calmed, and give me strength to remain faithful through every storm You permit me to face.

Deliver me from anxiety and fear. Teach me to trust You even when I cannot understand what is happening around me.

Help me remember that Your silence does not mean Your absence. You are with me, and You remain Lord over the storm.

Give me faith like the disciples needed and help me grow into deeper confidence in Your power.

Jesus, speak into every storm of my life today: “Peace, be still!”

Let Your peace fill my heart and let my life become a testimony of Your faithfulness.

    In Jesus' mighty name. Amen.

    *Blessing for today:*
May the Lord Jesus arise on your behalf and speak peace into every storm surrounding your life.

May every troubling situation receive divine intervention. May peace reign in your heart, your family, your ministry, your work, your business, your studies, and your relationships.

May God give you grace to remain calm when circumstances are difficult, wisdom to know what to do, and faith to trust Him when you cannot see the way forward.

May every storm become a testimony, every battle produce greater faith, and every difficult season reveal the mighty power of God.

Jesus is greater than your storm.
His peace shall guard your heart.
    His authority shall prevail.
    Your testimony shall emerge.

“PEACE, BE STILL.” — MARK 4:39

May the peace of Christ rule in your heart and household today.

Good morning beloved and do have a blessed, peaceful, and victorious day
    Shalom!

  • Psalms 91:3, 14-15 NIV Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.

Good morning and praise God. I hope you're having a great morning.

Think about a fish in the waters. Does it knows when the fisherman puts a trap to fish it? Does it know when the kingfisher is watching to catch it and eat it? Indeed it survive under mercies. We are not different. Our enemy sets traps that we may not know. In this Psalm "Ps 91:3 Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence."

The requirement is not your righteousness but love you got for God. He will rescue and protect you because you acknowledges His name. You'll call and He will answer and He will be with you amidst your trouble to deliver you and honor you. Sometimes you may find yourself locked in fowlers traps but God promises to be with you in all those troubles and deliver you.

There's no better story than the story of Joseph to illustrate this. God was with Joseph in all trouble he had to face and at the end God honored him. I am assuring you brethren that continue believing, continue loving God , He will deliver you from all your troubles. Fear not when you feel abandoned, betrayed, jailed by circumstances or what not, keep believing in God who called you.

Sing and worship in that place of torment like Saul and Silas. Lift your heart above your problems to God who called you. He is faithful, He is kind, He sees, He is mighty to save!

Thank you God. Thank you for your Word. Deliver us LORD and honor us. In Jesus name. Amen.

God loves you, have a blessed day. Shalom. Shalom.

  • St. Pius X

St. Pius was born as a second child of ten children of Giovanni Battist Sarto (father) and Margarita Sanson (mother) on June 2, 1835 in a place called riesi, in Venice. His original name was Giuseppe Melchior Sarto. He was ordained a priest on September 18, 1858 and was made Bishop in December, 1879. He was elevated as Cardinal by Pope Leo\\-XIII on June 12, 1893. He was elected as Pope on August 4, 1903 and took charge as Pope on August 9, 1903 as Pope Pius\\-X, as the 257th pontiff. He headed the Catholic Church from 1903 to 1914. He was devoted to Mother Mary and was very charitable. He served the victims of Messina earth quake of 1908 in his own Apostolic Palace. He did no favor to his family members. His brother worked as a postal clerk and his three sisters lived in close poverty near Rome. When other people reminded the Pope about the condition of his sisters, he used to tell “I made them the sisters of a pope, what else can I do for them?” He is regarded as the "Pope of Blessed Sacrament". He reduced the age limit of reason and to receive holy communion from 12 years to 7 years, in the year 1910 by the decree “Quam Singulari”. The last words he spoke before death were "To restore all things in Christ". He died on August 20, 1914.

Many miracles are attributed to this saint. One paralyzed child held by St. Pius\\-X during a papal audience, wriggled free from his arms and ran around the room, on getting miraculous cure from the disease. Another child aged 2 years also got cure from meningitis by the prayer of St. Pius\\-X. His body was intact to a great extent, when exhumed on May 19, 1944.

He was beatified by Pope Pius\\-XII on June 3, 1951and canonized on May 29, 1954..

“𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘮𝘢𝘺 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰,
𝘞𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵, 𝘸𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘨𝘭𝘰𝘳𝘺 𝘸𝘦 𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘶𝘦.”

Some tasks feel important because people notice them. Others seem so ordinary that we wonder whether they matter at all. We answer emails, clean rooms, finish assignments, serve quietly, raise families, and fulfill responsibilities that may never receive applause. Yet Scripture gives ordinary work eternal weight. The question is not whether our task looks significant—but whether we are doing it for Christ.

Paul writes in 🕮 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟑:𝟐𝟑, “𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘴𝘰𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘺𝘦 𝘥𝘰, 𝘥𝘰 𝘪𝘵 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘺, 𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘰𝘳𝘥, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘦𝘯.” The command reaches beyond church ministry into every legitimate responsibility God has placed before us. Whether our work is public or hidden, celebrated or unnoticed, Christ is the true Master we serve.

A craftsman may spend hours working on something nobody will ever see inside a finished building. Yet he works carefully because he knows what he is building matters. So it should be with us. Heaven sees what earth overlooks. The unseen task, the ordinary duty, and the quiet responsibility can all become worship when they are done faithfully before the Lord.

Scripture teaches and reminds us that our labor matters to God. “𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘦 𝘦𝘢𝘵, 𝘰𝘳 𝘥𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘬, 𝘰𝘳 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘴𝘰𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘺𝘦 𝘥𝘰, 𝘥𝘰 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘭𝘰𝘳𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘎𝘰𝘥” (𝟏 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟏𝟎:𝟑𝟏). “𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘴𝘰𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘺𝘦 𝘥𝘰 𝘪𝘯 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘥 𝘰𝘳 𝘥𝘦𝘦𝘥, 𝘥𝘰 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘰𝘳𝘥 𝘑𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘴” (𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟑:𝟏𝟕). We do not work for applause; we work for approval from above. Our workplace, home, church, and daily responsibilities can become places where Christ is honored.

The audience of our work is ultimately not man—it is God. “𝘚𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘦, 𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘰𝘳𝘥, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘦𝘯” (𝐄𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟔:𝟕). Don’t work like a mouse that only moves when the cat is away. We are not called to perform when people are watching and relax when they are gone. The task may be ordinary, the audience may be small, and the reward may be unseen—but the Lord sees every faithful hand.

Before Christ called us to work, He worked for us. He “𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘰, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳” (𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝟏𝟎:𝟒𝟓). The risen Lord now sends us as His servants, not to chase recognition, but to glorify Him in all we do. “𝘓𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘑𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘩” (𝐇𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝟏𝟐:𝟐).

Are you treating your ordinary responsibilities as interruptions or as opportunities to glorify Christ? What task have you been doing reluctantly because nobody seems to notice? You don't need Christ merely to make your work successful—you need Him to make your work worship. Whatever your hands find to do, do it for Him. The task may be ordinary, but the One we serve is not.

𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫: Heavenly Father, thank You for giving meaning even to the ordinary work You place before us. Forgive us for seeking human recognition or despising unnoticed tasks. Teach us to work faithfully, joyfully, and wholeheartedly, remembering that we serve Christ above all. May everything we do bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Remember, a dose of God’s Word a day will keep you going all day!

    FRIDAY AUGUST 21, 2026

BE AT PEACE IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD

    A WORD FROM THE WORD:

"Be at peace in the knowledge that I am God: I will be lifted up among the nations, I will be honoured through all the earth." Psalm 46:10 BBE.

In this boisterous and noisy world that is replete with pressures, demands, and constant hiccups, God, is through the psalmist, and by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit in our anchor Scripture, calling His people to the stillness that comes from the peace of the knowledge that He is God. Being at peace (or being still, NIV) is an act of faith that acknowledges God’s Omnipotence and Sovereignty over every situation. It demonstrates choosing confidence in God’s power over the anxieties about outcomes.

Many times, we tend to move too fast for God to speak clearly to and about us, but stillness creates the enabling environment for divine clarity, direction, and peace. When your heart is still and experiences the peace that comes from the knowledge of God, confusion settles, fear loses its hold, and faith is restored.

Replete in the Scripture are situations where God revealed Himself in moments of peaceful surrender; an instant example is Elijah's encounter with God, not in the wind or fire, but in a gentle whisper (1 Kings 19:11-13). The LORD Jesus would often retreat to quiet places to pray, even in the midst of pressing demands (Mark 1:35).
Stillness is where perspective returns, and power is sustained where stillness is practiced. I would counsel that you resist the urge to panic, force results, or rush decisions. Let God be God. When you are at peace in the knowledge of God, He fights, speaks, restores, and reigns.

    PRAYER BULLETS:

Father LORD, thank You. I ask You for the grace to be still, know, and recognise Your Sovereignty, as You become exalted in my life.

    FURTHER READING:

    Isaiah 30:15; Proverbs 3:5-6; Philippians 4:6-7.

  • PRIDE: THE SILENT KILLER – PART 6 WHEN RELIGION BECOMES PRIDE
Are You Serving God - or Seeking Praise?

Pride can hide behind religion. You can pray, serve, give, and still have a proud heart.

Jesus warned us: “Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them.” (Matthew 6:1)

The question is not just, “What am I doing for God?”
But “Why am I doing it—and who am I trying to please?”

True spirituality doesn’t make you feel superior. It makes you more humble.
