21-08-2026 Remembering God’s Faithfulness Psalm 77:12 (AMP) “I will remember the deeds of the LORD; Surely I will remember Your wonders of old.” There are moments when life feels overwhelming and our hearts become filled with questions. In those moments, it is easy to focus on what God has not done yet instead of remembering everything He has already done. Psalm 77:12 gives us a powerful spiritual practice: remember. David intentionally chooses to look back at God’s faithfulness. He remembers His works, His miracles, His protection, and His goodness. Remembering changes our perspective. It reminds us that the God who carried us yesterday is still the God who is carrying us today. Maybe you are facing something right now that feels bigger than your strength. Before fear tells you that God has forgotten you, stop and remember. Remember the doors He opened. Remember the prayers He answered. Remember the times He provided when you didn't know how things would work out. Remember the moments when He gave you strength to keep going. Your current situation may be uncertain, but God's character has not changed. Sometimes faith is simply saying, “I don't understand what God is doing right now, but I remember what He has done before.” Your memories of God's faithfulness can become fuel for your faith in today's uncertainty. Prayer Father, help me to remember Your goodness when I am tempted to focus on my problems. Remind me of every time You have carried me, provided for me, protected me, and answered my prayers. When I cannot see what You are doing, help me trust who You are. Let the memories of Your faithfulness strengthen my faith today. He did not remain the same person he was before meeting Christ. 📖 Luke 19:8 Zacchaeus responded by deciding to make things right and give back to those he had wronged. ❤️ Jesus did not reject him because of his past. However, the blessing that we received from the Lord can become the very reason we will withdraw from God. Abraham got his promised son and that son became the object of his love. The love, time and attention he had for God was now given to his son. So, God being a jealous God, came to redirect the affection of Abraham. Is the blessing of God in your life taking the place of God in your heart? Do you give more time to the blessings of God than God Himself? Do you love the blessing God had given you more than God who gave them to you? Is the blessing of God making you to forget God? Friday, 21st August, 2026 TITLE: "A HEART AFTER GOD: LIVING WITH A CLEAN HEART" ANCHOR SCRIPTURE(S) Acts 13:22 (KJV) "And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will." Psalm 51:10 (KJV) "Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me." QUOTE TO REFLECT ON "God is more interested in the condition of your heart than the appearance of your life." DAY'S REFLECTION God looks beyond outward appearance and examines the heart. Acts 13:22 records God's testimony concerning David: "a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will." David was not a perfect man. He made serious mistakes and experienced painful failures. Yet he repeatedly turned back to God with humility, repentance, and a desire to obey Him. To be "after God's own heart" does not mean being sinless. It means having a heart that genuinely desires God, responds to His correction, loves His ways, and seeks to fulfil His will. David's life teaches us that God can use imperfect people who are willing to surrender themselves to Him. Psalm 51:10 reveals David's prayer after his failure: "Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me." The word "create" is significant. David understood that he needed more than outward correction. He needed God to work deeply within him. A clean heart speaks of inner purity—our motives, desires, attitudes, thoughts, and intentions. A right spirit speaks of an inner disposition that is steadfast, faithful, and aligned with God. We can sometimes correct our outward behaviour while leaving the heart unchanged, but genuine transformation begins inside. Life experience teaches us that people can appear successful, religious, or respectable outwardly while struggling with hidden attitudes such as pride, bitterness, jealousy, unforgiveness, dishonesty, or selfishness. God, however, sees what others cannot see. Therefore, we should regularly invite God to examine and transform our hearts. When He reveals something wrong, we should not defend it; we should repent and ask Him for cleansing and renewal. A heart after God is not a heart that never fails—it is a heart that returns to God when it fails. It is willing to learn, change, forgive, obey, and pursue God's purpose. Today, do not focus only on how others see you. Ask God to examine who you are on the inside. Let your private life agree with your public testimony. Lord, create in me a clean heart and give me a spirit that desires to fulfil Your will. REJOICE: GOD ACTS IN HIS TIME 📖 Joel 2:23 "And you, children of Zion, be glad and rejoice in the Lord your God, for he will give you the autumn rains in their season, the autumn and spring rains, as before." Israel has just gone through a period of devastation and drought. But God announces restoration and promises rain again because the difficult season is not the end of the story. God knows the time of the rain. What seems delayed is not necessarily forgotten. There are seasons when God prepares what we do not yet see. Faith does not rejoice only when the rain falls; it rejoices because it knows the One who holds the seasons in His hands. God can restore what seemed lost and revive hope at the right time. Do not let the current drought make you doubt God's faithfulness. Continue to believe, pray, and work faithfully. The season will change, and God will send you rain in His time. YOU ARE MORE THAN A CONQUEROR Key Scriptures: Romans 8:37; 1 John 5:4; Philippians 4:13 Life can throw some tough battles, challenges, and opposition your way, but as a believer in Christ, remember this: you’re not fighting for victory—you’re fighting from a place of victory. Your identity isn’t that of a victim; you’re a victor because Jesus Christ has already triumphed over sin, death, and the forces of darkness. The Bible confidently states, "Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us" (Romans 8:37). No matter what you’re up against today, the power of God within you is far greater than any obstacle in your path. Throughout the Scriptures, we see how God granted ordinary people extraordinary victories simply because they placed their trust in Him. Take David, for instance—he took down Goliath with unwavering confidence in the name of the Lord (1 Samuel 17:45–50). Joshua led the Israelites into the Promised Land because God was right there with him (Joshua 1:5–9). And then there’s Paul, who faced persecution, imprisonment, and all sorts of hardships, yet he remained steadfast because Christ was his strength (2 Corinthians 11:23–28; Philippians 4:13). Their victories weren’t about their own skills; they were all about God’s faithfulness and power working through them. Whatever battle you’re facing today, don’t give in to fear or discouragement. "For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world" (1 John 5:4). The same God who granted victories to His servants in the past is fighting for you right now. Stand firm in your faith, keep trusting in His promises, and move forward with confidence. "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me" (Philippians 4:13). You are more than a conqueror—not because of your own strength, but because Christ lives in you. Your victory is assured, your future is bright, and your greatest triumph is still on the horizon. 🕊️ DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 233 DATE: 21ST AUGUST 2026 TOPIC: RELY ON THE LORD ANCHOR SCRIPTURE2 Chronicles 13:18 (NKJV) “Thus the children of Israel were subdued at that time; and the children of Judah prevailed, because they relied on the LORD God of their fathers.” Devotional message: Scripture is filled with testimonies of men and women who placed their confidence entirely in God and experienced victory. Their strength was not in their human ability, resources, experience, or influence; their confidence was in the Lord. Our anchor Scripture gives us a powerful explanation for Judah's victory: “They prevailed because they relied on the LORD.” Their victory was connected to their dependence upon God. Consider Jehoshaphat. When three nations came against Judah and the situation appeared impossible, he did not place his confidence in military strength. He sought the Lord. As Judah worshipped, God intervened and caused their enemies to fight against one another. What Judah could not accomplish through human strength, God accomplished through His divine intervention. We also see this principle in the battle against Amalek. Moses stood on the mountain with the rod of God, while Joshua fought below. As Moses lifted his hands, Israel prevailed; when his hands became heavy and came down, Amalek prevailed. Aaron and Hur therefore supported his hands until victory was secured. There are battles where our greatest strength is not what we can do, but our posture of dependence upon God. David lived by this principle. Before many battles, he inquired of the Lord. Even when he encountered Goliath, his confidence was not in his previous victories, weapons, or military experience. David understood that the size of the enemy could never be greater than the power of the God he trusted. Child of God, where is your confidence today?Perhaps you are facing an examination, a business challenge, difficulties in your marriage, a ministry assignment, financial pressure, opposition, or a situation that appears beyond your ability. Do not make yourself your ultimate source.Your education is valuable, but it is not your ultimate source.Your experience is valuable, but it is not your ultimate source.Your connections are valuable, but they are not your ultimate source.Your resources are valuable, but they are not your ultimate source.
