• Good morning, brethren.
    1. Morning devotion for today.

    MD.i. MORNING TEA
    THE WORD FOR TODAY
    FRIDAY AUGUST 21, 2O26.
    "THREE LEVELS OF ATTACK (1)"

    ‘…command that these stones become bread.’ Matthew 4:3 NKJV

    THE BIBLE says, ‘…Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil’ (Matthew 4:1 NKJV). This seems to be God’s standard operating procedure. Why? Because He’s a good general; before He puts you into battle He puts you into boot camp. Imagine it: you’re up at dawn, running for miles with a heavy backpack, crawling under barbed wire barriers with bullets whizzing over your head, taking orders from authority figures you don’t know and probably don’t like. But if you pass the test; you get to wear the uniform. On the threshold of His ministry, God led His Son into a situation where He would face three levels of attack. You will face them also. Let’s look at the first one:
    The attack over the bread. Did Jesus need bread? Yes, He’d been without food for forty days. But He knew that His greatest need was not for natural food but spiritual food. So He told satan, ‘…“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God’’ (Matthew 4:4 NKJV). Only when you’re convinced God will take care of all your material needs, will you start putting spiritual things first in your life. Until that happens, you’ll think you have to take care of yourself. As a result, you will walk in fear and not faith. That’s not how God wants you to live. ‘…seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you’ (Matthew 6:33 NKJV). When you worry, you don’t trust God. When you trust God, you don’t have to worry. The choice is yours.

    *WISDOM IN HANDLING THE VAIN TALKERS*

    *TEXT:* MATTHEW 22:18-22.

    18 But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites?
    19 Shew me the tribute money. And they brought unto him a penny.
    20 And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription?
    21 They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.
    22 When they had heard these words, they marvelled, and left him, and went their way.

    *Timeless Truth:*_"For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's"_ (1 Corinthians 6:20).

    *INTRODUCTION*

    In human relationships, there are vain talkers who do not hide their intention to disgrace, humiliate, embarrass and insult us. However, most vain talkers are friendly foes with evil intentions, but with a friendly approach. If they are not handled with wisdom, they will mess up, disgrace and embarass the saints and the preachers, thus, making their messages of non effect or impact. Paul the apostle himself with Apostolic anointing encountered such people like Jesus encountered them in the text. *"For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision, Whose mouths must be stopped"* (Titus 1:10,11).
    Jesus was confronted by people who did not genuinely seek the truth, but wanted to trap Him with their questions. Their outward appearance suggested sincerity, but their hearts were deceptive. Jesus, however, perceived their wicked intentions and responded with divine wisdom. Believers will also encounter vain talkers—people whose words are deceptive, provocative, argumentative or designed to lead others away from truth. We must, therefore, learn from Christ how to respond with spiritual perception, scriptural wisdom and personal conviction.

    *1. Spiritual and Scriptural Perception*

    a. Topical Encyclopedia rightly defines spiritual perception as the ability to discern and understand spiritual truths and realities that are not accessible through natural senses or human reasoning alone. It involves a heightened awareness and insight into the spiritual realm, often granted by the Holy Spirit to believers. Spiritual perception by the Holy Spirit, can read into the mind and at times (not in all cases) decipher the motivations and intentions of the heart. It is a lower form of the gift of discernment. They brought the coin with the inscription of Caesar and questioned Jesus on whether it was right to pay taxes to the government. Jesus knew they wanted to rope Him into public controversy that will put Him into trouble with the government of the day. If Jesus said it was right to pay tributes to Caesar, they would use that to paint Jesus as anti-Jewish. If Jesus said it is not right, they would end up putting him at a collision course with the government of the day. Either controversy can be avoided without necessarily doing violence to the truth. He was not a pro-controversy minister on avoidable spiritual or vain conflicts. Many ministers always enjoy being entangled in controversy on things that are non-essentials in the things of the kingdom. Jesus knew their wickedness and said, *“Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites?”* Their question was not an innocent request for guidance; it was a trap. Christ could see beyond their words into their motives. Spiritual perception enables believers to distinguish between genuine questions and deceptive arguments. We must not be carried away by eloquent speech, clever reasoning or religious appearance. The Word of God and the guidance of the Holy Spirit give us discernment to recognize what is behind seemingly innocent conversations.
    b. Nehemiah, for example, was given a seemingly innocent and reconciliatory invitation by his adversaries. He knew that it was not of God. *"And, lo, I perceived that God had not sent him; but that he pronounced this prophecy against me: for Tobiah and Sanballat had hired him"*. Believers, especially spiritual leaders, must have enough of scriptural understanding and insight of the truth that will generate spiritual perception by the Holy Spirit. However, there are unscriptural perceptions or incorrect insights in the form of a suspicious spirit that always read negative meanings into the actions of the innocent. This is satanic and ungodly.

    *Question*

    Do I have sufficient spiritual discernment to recognize deception and vain arguments when I encounter them?

    *2. Saints as the Saviour’s Possession*

    a. Jesus revealed deep spiritual truth to them while answering their question. It is one thing to receive an answer to a genuine question and another thing to be patient enough to get the message in the answer. Jesus asked them to show Him the tribute money and then asked whose image and inscription were upon it. When they answered, *"Caesar’s"* . Jesus declared unto them that though He is the Creator of all, He will not take what belongs to others or even what he has bequeathed to others except He was given voluntarily. The metal used for the coin belongs to God, but it has been given to the king and the use is delegated to powers that be. Jesus would not take the gift back except if the gifted decided to endow it back to the Owner or the Creator. He will not forcefully, stylishly or trickishly take back what He has given to others. This is a deep spiritual message that we can learn from God. Jesus declared, *“Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s.”*
    b. What is the implication of this answer? The coin carried Caesar’s image and therefore must be given to the owner. Also, human beings, including his body, soul and spirit bear the image of God (Genesis 1:26–27), therefore, man must surrender his soul, spirit and body to God to be used at His pleasure being the Owner. Reluctance to give oneself to God, the Owner, is daylight robbery which God the Creator will not even do to those He gave something to. We are owned by God as His possession by Creation and Redemption. Without redemption by Jesus Christ, we are all marked for eternal destruction. *"For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's"*. So, our appearance, body, heart and soul must be consciously and deliberately given to the glory of God, joyfully. The language of the responsible creature to his Creator is like what a king said: *"And the king of Israel answered and said, My lord, O king, according to thy saying, I am thine, and all that I have"*. Our spirit, soul, time, possessions and all that we have belong to God and none should be denied Him at any time He needs them. Like Thomas, our response to God whenever He demands sacrifice or anything from us, no matter how precious is *"My Lord and my God"*. It is a language of acknowledgement of His being the Creator. It is a language of appreciation of being the Redeemer.

    *Question*

    Since I belong to Christ, am I allowing His image and ownership to determine the way I live? Am I always readily giving Him what His Word demands without hesitation or reluctance?

    *3. Satisfied without Scripture Personalization*

    When Jesus answered their question, *“they marvelled, and left him, and went their way.”* They were amazed by His wisdom, but there is no indication that they surrendered their hearts to His truth. They did not bother to apply the truth to their lives and personalized it. It is possible to admire Scripture, appreciate a powerful message and even marvel at divine wisdom without personally applying it. The danger of vain talk is that we may become satisfied with intellectual discussion rather than spiritual transformation. God’s Word must move from our ears to our hearts and from our hearts to our daily conduct. The messages of Christ are so deep that they require constant and continuous reflection and self application in order to get the best from them. It is not how great a message is, but how transforming.

    *Question*

    Am I merely impressed by biblical truth or am I personally applying and obeying it?

    *Prayer Points*

    1.Lord, grant me spiritual discernment to recognize deception, hypocrisy and vain arguments .
    2.Father, help me to remember that I belong completely to Christ and to live according to His will .
    3 Lord, deliver me from empty religious knowledge and help me to personalize and practice Your Word .
    4.Father, give us the wisdom of Christ to answer difficult questions with truth, grace, humility and courage. Help us to be doers of your Word and not hearers only .

    *Kofi Annan, the Ghanaian diplomat who served as the seventh Secretary-General of the United Nations from 1997 - 2006, is a figure whose life was shaped by the responsibilities of dual citizenship. While Annan was a Ghanaian citizen by birth, his role in international diplomacy required him to balance his connection to his homeland with his responsibility to the global community. In his role in Ghana, he worked to advance the nation's standing on the world stage, often advocating for African issues and the continent's development in the international arena. On the other hand, in his global duty as UN Secretary-General, his role involved diplomacy with countries in conflict, addressing human rights abuses, and working toward humanitarian aid and general global peace.*

    *In the passage, the Pharisees, who were trying to trap Jesus, posed a question about paying taxes to Caesar. The dilemma they presented seemed unsolvable: if Jesus said it was lawful to pay tax, He could alienate the people, who hated Roman rule. But if He said it was unlawful, He could be accused of stirring insurrection. But Jesus, with His wisdom, cut through the manipulation and answered in a way that transcended their trap. He asked for a coin, a denarius, and asked whose image was on it. "Caesar's," they replied. Then, He gave a profound answer that has echoed through history: "Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's."*

    *Jesus' words highlight that we are citizens of two realms - an earthly kingdom, with earthly responsibilities, and God's kingdom, with eternal responsibilities. While on earth, we are to honour the systems of authority set before us, paying taxes, respecting laws, and fulfilling our civic duties, which are part of our witness to the world. On the other hand, we must always remember that we are made in the likeness of God and, as such, our lives, our hearts, our very being, are His. In all, while our lives may be marked by the needs of the world - job, family, relationships - our ultimate allegiance should lie with God.*

    2. Morning Prayer for today.

    MP.i. Morning Prayer

    Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. ⏤ John 8:12

    Prayer is a shield to the soul, a sacrifice to God, and a scourge for Satan. ⏤ John Bunyan

    O God, the source of all truth and grace, You’ve called us out of darkness into Your marvelous light—grant us Your blessing as this new day begins. We ask for Your grace to walk worthy of our high calling, with humility, faith, and hope. May we let our light shine before others so they may see our good works and glorify You.

    We ask for grace to perform our tasks diligently, to manage our affairs wisely, to do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, and to acknowledge You in all our ways.

    Order our steps in Your word and don’t let sin have any power over us.

    Give us our daily bread. Provide what we need for this day. Grant us health of body and soundness of mind so that we’re prepared for the duties ahead. Prosper our efforts as long as they align with Your will. If any of our plans don’t fit into Your plan for our lives, we ask that You set them aside, for we don’t want to go against You or do anything that You won’t approve or bless. Restrain us from all excesses, from unwise words, from foolish vanity, and from uncontrolled emotions. Make us thoughtful, serious, and prayerful.

    O God, You allowed Your only Son to be tempted by the Evil One so that He could support those who are tempted. We ask You to deliver us from the snares and temptations that constantly surround us, and to strengthen us by Your Spirit so that in all things, we may be more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Amen.

But if you pass the test; you get to wear the uniform. On the threshold of His ministry, God led His Son into a situation where He would face three levels of attack. You will face them also. Let’s look at the first one: The attack over the bread. Bible In A Year: Lam 3:40-5:22; Matt 20:1-16; Ps 119:129-136; Pro 18:21. [20/08, 9:54 pm] Pastor Attah: *MEDITATIONS ON DAILY ⓂANNA* FRIDAY, 21ST AUGUST, 2026. *WISDOM IN HANDLING THE VAIN TALKERS* *TEXT:* MATTHEW 22:18-22. 18 But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites? 19 Shew me the tribute money. And they brought unto him a penny. 20 And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? 21 They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's. 22 When they had heard these words, they marvelled, and left him, and went their way. *Timeless Truth:*_"For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's"_ (1 Corinthians 6:20). *INTRODUCTION* In human relationships, there are vain talkers who do not hide their intention to disgrace, humiliate, embarrass and insult us. *1. Spiritual and Scriptural Perception* a. *Question* Do I have sufficient spiritual discernment to recognize deception and vain arguments when I encounter them? *2. Saints as the Saviour’s Possession* a. Jesus declared, *“Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s.”* b. *Question* Since I belong to Christ, am I allowing His image and ownership to determine the way I live? Am I always readily giving Him what His Word demands without hesitation or reluctance? *3. Satisfied without Scripture Personalization* When Jesus answered their question, *“they marvelled, and left him, and went their way.”* They were amazed by His wisdom, but there is no indication that they surrendered their hearts to His truth. *Question* Am I merely impressed by biblical truth or am I personally applying and obeying it? *Prayer Points* 1.Lord, grant me spiritual discernment to recognize deception, hypocrisy and vain arguments 🙏. 2.Father, help me to remember that I belong completely to Christ and to live according to His will 🙏. 3 Lord, deliver me from empty religious knowledge and help me to personalize and practice Your Word 🙏. 4.Father, give us the wisdom of Christ to answer difficult questions with truth, grace, humility and courage. Help us to be doers of your Word and not hearers only 🙏. *HYMN:* Lord speak to me *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* DANIEL 3-5. In his role in Ghana, he worked to advance the nation's standing on the world stage, often advocating for African issues and the continent's development in the international arena. On the other hand, in his global duty as UN Secretary-General, his role involved diplomacy with countries in conflict, addressing human rights abuses, and working toward humanitarian aid and general global peace.* *In the passage, the Pharisees, who were trying to trap Jesus, posed a question about paying taxes to Caesar. Then, He gave a profound answer that has echoed through history: "Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's."* *Jesus' words highlight that we are citizens of two realms - an earthly kingdom, with earthly responsibilities, and God's kingdom, with eternal responsibilities. While on earth, we are to honour the systems of authority set before us, paying taxes, respecting laws, and fulfilling our civic duties, which are part of our witness to the world. On the other hand, we must always remember that we are made in the likeness of God and, as such, our lives, our hearts, our very being, are His. TOPIC: BREAKING COVENANTS, PART 1

    MEMORIZE:
    "But he rebelled against him in sending his ambassadors into Egypt, that they might give him horses and much people. Shall he prosper? shall he escape that doeth such things? or shall he break the covenant, and be delivered?" Ezekiel 17:15 (KJV)

    BIBLE READING: 1 SAMUEL 2:27-31
    27 And there came a man of God unto Eli, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Did I plainly appear unto the house of thy father, when they were in Egypt in Pharaoh's house?

    28 And did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to offer upon mine altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before me? and did I give unto the house of thy father all the offerings made by fire of the children of Israel?

    29 Wherefore kick ye at my sacrifice and at mine offering, which I have commanded in my habitation; and honourest thy sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all the offerings of Israel my people?

    30 Wherefore the Lord God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the Lord saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

    31 Behold, the days come, that I will cut off thine arm, and the arm of thy father's house, that there shall not be an old man in thine house.

    MESSAGE:
    God is faithful; He never breaks His promises, nor does He go back on His word. James 1:17 says that there is no variableness nor shadow of turning with Him. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8), and He never breaks His covenants. However, if a fellow breaks a covenant he or she has made with God, then God is under no obligation to keep His part of the covenant.

    In Numbers 25:6-13, God made a covenant of eternal priesthood with Phinehas, Eleazar's son, because, in his zeal for the Lord, he struck a man and his concubine dead. However, in today's Bible reading, God told Eli, "I entered into a covenant that you and your father's house will stand before Me forever, but since you have broken the covenant, I am saying, let it be far from Me." Eli's carelessness annulled the covenant God made with his ancestor, Phinehas. As a result of the broken covenant, God's hedge of protection departed from Eli's household, and his two sons died on the same day. When Eli heard the news of their death, he also died that same day, along with the wife of one of his sons. This illustrates the importance of a covenant and that the consequence of breaking one is usually death.

    The death of a person who is a party to a covenant typically releases such a person from fulfilling his or her part in the covenant; however, God remains faithful to His covenants, even after a person He is in covenant with dies. Deuteronomy 7:9 says that He keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him and keep His commandments to the thousandth generation. Exodus 34:7 tells us that He keeps mercy for thousands. When you keep your covenant with God, it will extend to your descendants. When God promised Abraham that through his seed, all the nations of the earth would be blessed (Genesis 22:18), that promise found its ultimate fulfilment in Jesus, who came 42 generations after Abraham, approximately 2,000 years later. When God promised David that he would always have a seed to sit on the throne (Psalm 89:3-4,29), He never broke His side of the covenant. That covenant was also fulfilled in Jesus.

    Beloved, remain faithful to your covenant with God, for in doing so, you will release immeasurable blessings upon yourself and your descendants for generations to come.

    KEY POINT:
    God is faithful; He never breaks His covenants.

Amen.

• Dear Father,

    In several places throughout Scripture that narrate the story of Samuel, Scripture recounts, “And the LORD said unto Samuel.” You spoke very often to him, and there was no question as to whether or not it was Your voice he heard. Except for his very first experience, when he went to Eli, thinking it was he who had called him. But Eli said to Samuel, “Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, LORD; for thy servant heareth.” So Samuel went and lay down in his place.

    He had to go back, lie still, and listen again for Your voice. Would I, then, be correct to assume that everyone we look up to as spiritual giants today once walked in ignorance? The prophets whose words never fall to the ground, writers whose articles are both Kingdom related and globally recognized, teachers who rightly divide the word of truth, Kingdom financiers who once could not afford a meal, the list goes on. And like Samuel, perhaps one notable point that helps us build mastery from ignorance is the willingness to go back, lie still, and listen for Your voice.

    Perhaps one of mankind’s greatest challenges is stillness. The world is moving, and so are we. Who wants to remain in an atmosphere of prevailing silence, darkness, and what seems like nothingness? Yet, isn’t this often the very place where we find You? Isn't this where we are first taught how to build mastery?

    The world is moving, and so are we. But perhaps the greatest movement does not begin when we move, but when we lie still and listen for Your voice.

    THE TEN COMMANDMENTS: GOD'S STANDARD OF JUDGMENT FROM GENESIS TO REVELATION.

    "And God spake all these words, saying..." (Exodus 20:1, KJV)

    Many people claim that God's law has been abolished. Yet from Genesis to Revelation, God judges sin according to the very principles found in the Ten Commandments. Before Sinai, people were already held accountable because God's moral law reflected His holy character (Romans 2:14–15).

    The Bible is clear:

    «"Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil." — Ecclesiastes 8:11 (KJV)»

    God's judgment may not always come immediately, but no sin goes unnoticed, and no sin will ultimately go unpunished unless it is repented of and forgiven through Christ (Acts 17:30–31; Romans 6:23).

    1. "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." (Exodus 20:3)

    God has always judged idolatry.

    Israel worshiped the golden calf (Exodus 32:1–35). About 3,000 people died, and the Lord sent a plague upon the people.

    King Solomon turned to other gods (1 Kings 11:1–13). God declared that the kingdom would be torn from his son.

    Nebuchadnezzar exalted himself and set up a golden image for worship (Daniel 3). God humbled his kingdom, and later, because of his pride, he lived like a beast until he acknowledged the Most High (Daniel 4:28–37).

    Lesson: God alone deserves worship.

    2. "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image." (Exodus 20:4–6)

    God condemns image worship.

    The golden calf brought immediate judgment (Exodus 32).

    Jeroboam's golden calves led Israel into sin, bringing God's judgment upon his house (1 Kings 12:26–33; 1 Kings 13:33–34; 1 Kings 14:7–16).

    Lesson: Worship belongs to the Creator, not created things.

    3. "Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain." (Exodus 20:7)

    God holds His name sacred.

    A man blasphemed God's name and was put to death by God's command (Leviticus 24:10–16, 23).

    Hophni and Phinehas, the sons of Eli, treated God's worship with contempt and dishonored His name through their wickedness. God judged them, and both died on the same day (1 Samuel 2:12–17, 22–25, 34; 1 Samuel 4:11).

    Lesson: God's name must never be treated lightly.

    4. "Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy." (Exodus 20:8–11)

    God blesses obedience and judges deliberate rebellion.

    A man gathering sticks on the Sabbath was judged according to God's command and stoned (Numbers 15:32–36).

    God warned Israel that Sabbath-breaking would bring national judgment (Jeremiah 17:21–27).

    The Babylonian captivity came in part because Israel neglected God's Sabbaths (2 Chronicles 36:20–21).

    Lesson: The Sabbath is holy because God made it holy.

    5. "Honour thy father and thy mother." (Exodus 20:12)

    God blesses honor and judges rebellion.

    Absalom rebelled against his father David and died tragically (2 Samuel 15–18).

    Children mocked Elisha, saying, "Go up, thou bald head." Two she-bears came out of the woods, and forty-two youths were mauled (2 Kings 2:23–24).

    Lesson: God expects respect for parents and those He has appointed.

    6. "Thou shalt not kill." (Exodus 20:13)

    God judges murder.

    Cain murdered Abel, and God cursed him and drove him from the ground (Genesis 4:8–12).

    David arranged Uriah's death. Though forgiven, he suffered severe consequences in his household (2 Samuel 11–12).

    Lesson: Human life is sacred because it bears God's image.

    7. "Thou shalt not commit adultery." (Exodus 20:14)

    God judges sexual immorality.

    David committed adultery with Bathsheba, and the child died. The sword never departed from David's house (2 Samuel 11–12).

    Judah and Tamar (Genesis 38). Judah acknowledged, "She hath been more righteous than I." His sin was exposed publicly. Scripture records the shame of his actions, though it does not say he was judged for "ten generations."

    Lesson: Sin may be forgiven, but it often carries painful consequences.

    8. "Thou shalt not steal." (Exodus 20:15)

    God judges theft.

    Achan stole what God had devoted to destruction. Israel was defeated at Ai, and Achan and his household were judged (Joshua 7:1–26).

    Gehazi deceitfully took gifts from Naaman and was struck with leprosy (2 Kings 5:20–27).

    Lesson: Nothing can be hidden from God.

    9. "Thou shalt not bear false witness." (Exodus 20:16)

    God judges lying.

    Ananias and Sapphira lied to the Holy Spirit and died immediately (Acts 5:1–11).

    Jezebel arranged false witnesses against Naboth, bringing God's judgment upon her and Ahab's house (1 Kings 21).

    Lesson: God is a God of truth.

    10. "Thou shalt not covet." (Exodus 20:17)

    Coveting leads to destruction.

    Ahab coveted Naboth's vineyard, resulting in murder and God's judgment (1 Kings 21).

    Judas Iscariot's love of money led him to betray Christ and perish (Matthew 26:14–16; Acts 1:18–20).

    Lesson: Coveting begins in the heart but produces deadly fruit.

    The Ten Commandments in the Final Judgment

    The Bible ends where it began: God's law remains His standard of righteousness.

    Romans 2:12–16 — God will judge the secrets of men.

    James 2:10–12 — We shall be judged by the "law of liberty."

    Ecclesiastes 12:13–14 — "Fear God, and keep his commandments... For God shall bring every work into judgment."

    Revelation 20:12–13 — The dead are judged according to their works.

    Revelation 22:14 (KJV) — "Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life..."

    Conclusion

    From Genesis to Revelation, God has never treated sin lightly. Every violation of His holy law brings guilt, and every act is recorded in heaven. Some judgments come immediately, while others are reserved for the final judgment. Yet God's mercy is available to all who repent and believe in Jesus Christ.

    The cross did not abolish God's law—it revealed how holy it is. Christ died because the penalty of sin is death (Romans 6:23). Through Him we receive forgiveness, and through His grace He writes His law in our hearts (Hebrews 8:10).

    "Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil." — Ecclesiastes 8:11

    Do not mistake God's patience for approval. His mercy invites repentance, but His judgment is certain. Therefore, let us fear God, trust in Christ, and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man (Ecclesiastes 12:13–14).

    Dear Father, In several places throughout Scripture that narrate the story of Samuel, Scripture recounts, “And the LORD said unto Samuel.” You spoke very often to him, and there was no question as to whether or not it was Your voice he heard. • The power of prayer-8

    Syllabus-38

    "And Eli looked upon her face, while Hannah prayed before the Lord." 1 Samuel 1:12

    Hannah had no children because she was barren. Who else but Hannah would understand how miserable it is to be barren in a married life? But she believed in God and in His great power. So she decided to pray to God without ceasing. Eli was the priest at the temple of God in Shiloh. One day Hannah went to the temple and prayed and wept before the Lord for a long time. She was praying in her heart, but her lips were moving. She prayed so long and so passionately that Eli thought she might be drunk with wine.

    The difference between traditional and formal prayer and emotional prayer can be clearly understood from that incident. Although Eli was a priest of God, he never entered the life of prayer. The prayer and worship he did in the temple was habitual. And those who came to the temple to pray would pray habitually. Eli the priest's idea of prayer was not above this. But Hannah's prayer was not a habitual prayer. She came to understand God with deep faith. The desire to have children had become so strong in her life that she did not pay attention to anything else. What people would think if she prayed long or prayed with tears, or what Eli the priest would think, these thoughts did not exist in her life. True spiritual prayer is not comparable to all of these. Hannah's situation was also like that. Therefore, a great work was accomplished in her prayer. The blocked uterus was freed. Hannah conceived. Blessed be the name of the Lord!

    "He makes the barren woman a wife, a joyful mother of children." Psalm 113:9.

    . PRAISE YAHWAH

    The word *Halleluyah* is the most ancient word of *Praise.* It is used both on *earth* and in *heaven* to worship *The Almighty* { *Rev. 19:1-6* }. The Origin, Meaning, Significance of this word is greatly misunderstood. It is A *Pure Hebrew Word* and yet *This Hebrew Word* is *spoken* In *ALL* Languages throughout The World. The first part of the word " *Hallelu* " means " *Praise* " and the last part of the word is " *Yah* " means *YHWH* { *Yahwah* } and this is the *Personal Name* Of The Creator.

    THE NAME Of *YHWH/יהוה/YAHWAH* IS FOUND IN THE *ORIGINAL SCRIPTURES* OVER *6,832* , APPROXIMATELY *7,000*. We also Find Evidence of THE NAME OF *YHWH/יהוה/YAHWAH* in Bible Concordances, Encyclopedias, Dictionaries and in many current writtings of history and in Archeology.

    THE SHORTENED FORM OF *YAH* IS IN THE NAMES
    OF MANY PROPHETS OF THE SCRIPTURES, SUCH AS

    ELIJAH/אֵלִיָּה/ELI*YAH*
    MEANS *YHWH/יהוה/YAHWAH* IS MY ELOHIM/GOD.

    JEREMIAH/ירמיה/YIRME*YAH*
    MEANS *YHWH/יהוה/YAHWAH* ESTABLISHES

    OBADDIAH/עֹבַדְיָה/OBAD*YAH*
    MEANS "SERVANT OF *YHWH/יהוה/YAHWAH*.

    ISAIAH/יְשַׁעְיָה/YESHA*YAH*
    MEANS *YHWH/יהוה/YAHWAH* SAVES.

    ZECHARIAH/זְכַרְיָה/ZEKAR*YAH*
    MEANS *YHWH/יהוה/YAHWAH* REMEMBERS.

    JOSHUA/יְהוֹשֻׁעַ/*YAH*OSHUA

    NEHEMIAH/נְחֶמְיָה‎/NEHEM*YAH*

    MEANS *GIFT FROM YHWH/יהוה/YAH*WAH*.

    MATTHEW/מַתִּתְיָה/MATIT*YAH*
    MEANS *GIFT OF YHWH/יהוה/YAH*WAH*.

    *NOTE:* THE HEBREW ALPHABET HAS NO LETTER THAT IS EQUIVALENT TO THE LETTER *"J"*. THE NAMES ABOVE HAVE BEEN CORRECTED TO HELP ILLUSTRATE HOW TO PRONOUNCE THEM

    *YHWH* IS KNOWN BY MODERN
    READERS AS *JEHOVAH*

    But as The Encyclopedia Britannica & The Holman Bible Dictionary & many others explain that The Word " *Jehovah* " Is The ERRONEOUS FORM OF THE DIVINE NAME *YHWH/יהוה PRONOUNCED YAHWAH*.

    LET US INVESTIGATE HOW THIS
    DISTORTION TOOK PLACE

    Originally The Name *YHWH/יהוה* was known and used in the whole earth when MEN WERE OF ONE SPEECH, ONE LANGUAGE {GENESIS/BERESHIYTH. 11:1}

    LET US REMEMBER IN THE HEBREW LANGUAGE
    NO VOWELS WERE USED IN HIS NAME 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄
    ONLY CONSONANTS WERE USED

    LET US TAKE A CLOSER
    LOOK WITH HEBREW
    UNDERSTANDING

    MANY UNEDUCATED PEOPLE
    STATE YHWH ARE 4 CONSONANTS

    *THE HEBREW LETTERS יהוה = YHWH,*

    *Y = {י} = YOD; IS A CONSONANT BY ITSELF*

    *H = {ה} = HEY; IS A CONSONANT BY ITSELF*

    *W = {ו} = WAW; IS A CONSONANT BY ITSELF*

    *H = {ה} = HEY; IS A CONSONANT BY ITSELF*

    NOW WHEN YOU MIX Y & H {יה}
    YOU GET AN AUTOMATIC YAH SOUNDING
    AS IN THE HEBREW WORD HALLELU*YAH*

    NOW WHEN YOU MIX W & H {וה}
    YOU GET AN AUTOMATIC WAH SOUNDING
    AS IN THE BABY' CRY "WAH", MATTHEW 21:16

    THE HEBREW LETTERS יהוה = YHWH
    CORRECT PHONETIC SOUNDING IS YAHWAH
    *Y = {י} = YOD*
    *H = {ה} = HEY*
    *W = {ו} = WAW*
    *H = {ה} = HEY*

    THE GRAMMATICAL SOUNDING OF YHWH
    IS YAHWAH BECAUSE OF THE FOLLOWING REASONS

    THE CONCORDANCE *HEBREW #1961 &
    THE CONCORDANCE *HEBREW #1933
    ARE TWO ROOT WORDS FOR יהוה/YHWH
    {1} *HAYAH FOR #1961*
    {2} *HAWAH FOR #1933*

    LET US DIVIDE/SEPARATE
    {1} HAYAH FOR #1961
    {2} HAWAH FOR #1933
    ENGLISH WRITTING LEFT TO RIGHT
    {1} HAYAH HA YAH FOR #1961
    {2} HAWAH HA WAH FOR #1933

    LET US DIVIDE/SEPARATE
    {1} HAYAH FOR #1961
    {2} HAWAH FOR #1933
    HEBREW WRITTING RIGHT TO LEFT
    {1} HAYAH HAY AH FOR #1961
    {2} HAWAH HAW AH FOR #1933

    BOTH ENGLISH & HEBREW READS THE SAME
    HA-YAH & HA-WAH
    THUS WE HAVE YAHWAH

    THE CONCLUSION IS ONLY ONE CORRECT PROPER
    WAY TO PRONOUNCE 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄/YHWH AS YAHWAH

    Many will say, What is the importance of all this Correct Phonetic sounding business & how does it pertain to me?

    *NOTICE* : *Matthew 6:9* says *Hallowed/Set-Apart* be THY Name. The Name Of God/Elohim is *Holy/Set-Apart* . It does *not leave us in doubt* as to whether or not *The Name Of יהוה/YHWH* is *important* for us to *know, speak and praise!* When The True Name Of יהוה/YHWH is put back in The Proper Places where translators *purposely* MisTranslated/Substituted The Word " *LORD* ", then we will have *True, Clear understanding* that we should *know, speak and praise!* *The Mighty Name of יהוה/YHWH*.

    Remember, translators *purposely* MisTranslated/Substituted The Word " *LORD approxitmately 7,000*

    *Micah 6:9* states The Voice of *יהוה/YHWH* . crieth unto the city, and *the man of wisdom shall see thy name:* We ALL Need to see the revelation of HIS Name

    *Ezekiel 39:7* So will I make *MY Holy Name Known* in the midst of *MY People* Israel; and I will not let them pollute *MY Holy Name* any more: and The Heathen shall know that I Am *יהוה/YHWH* , the Holy One in Israel.

    *Exodus 20:7* Thou Shalt Not Take The Name Of *יהוה/YHWH* Thy God in vain; for *יהוה/YHWH* will not hold him *guiltless* that taketh *HIS Name In Vain.*

    To say that *The Name Of יהוה/YHWH* is Unimportant, or not to bare *The Name Of יהוה/YHWH* and then *claim* to be one of *HIS Children* is certainly *taking The Name Of יהוה/YHWH In Vain*

    *Malachi 3:16* Then they that feared *יהוה/YHWH* spake often one to another: and *יהוה/YHWH* hearkened, and heard it, and *A Book Of Remembrance* was written before HIM *for them* that *Feared* *יהוה/YHWH*, and that thought upon *HIS Name.*

    SCRIPTURES FURTHER GIVES US MORE SOUND REVELATION OF HIS MIGHTY NAME *יהוה/YHWH*

    *ZECHARIAH 14:9* And *יהוה/YHWH* shall be *KING* over *ALL* the earth: in that day shall there be *ONE יהוה/YHWH*, and *HIS NAME ONE.*

    *Joel 2:32* And it shall come to pass, that *Whosoever* Shall Call On The Name Of *יהוה/YHWH* shall be *delivered/saved*

    *Acts 2:21* And it shall come to pass, that *Whosoever* Shall Call On The Name Of *יהוה/YHWH* shall be *Saved*.

    *Romans 10:13* For *Whosoever* shall call upon the name Of *יהוה/YHWH* shall be *saved* .

    *NOTICE: Joel, Peter and Paul* ALL Spoke *Very Clearly* That Those Who would be *saved* would be calling on *יהוה/YHWH!* Wow! It is Imperative, Important to know this information.

    SO we read at The Burning Bush, GOD/ELOHIM REVEALS HIS NAME AS “𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄/YAHWAH” (YHWH) which translates to “I am who I am that gives breath & Life.”

    Satan, using The Catholic Church, MISTRANSLATERS, FALSE PROPHETS & DECEIVED PEOPLE decided that this name needed to be replaced with the words “God” and “Lord” and so “𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄/YAHWAH” was stricken from all the passages

    IN MOST ENGLISH TRANSLATIONS WHEN YOU SEE THE WORDS 'LORD' AND 'GOD' IN ALL CAPITAL LETTERS THEY ILLEGITIMATELY TAKE THE PLACE OF THE WORD יהוה/YAHWAH.

    There is one verse in The King James Translation which does use The Poetic form of *יהוה/Yahwah* which is "Jah" which sounds out as *Yah* . Now for a student who has an obedient, loving attitude will see and understand their responsiblity to use *HIS Name.* *Psalms 68:4* *Sing* unto God, *sing* praises to *HIS Name* : *extol HIM* that rideth upon the heavens by HIS Name Jah, and *rejoice* before HIM. It is very clear that The Name Of יהוה/YHWH Is Meant To Be Known and Used by HIS People.

    *There is a Scriptural Direct Connection* between *The Name Of יהוה/YHWH and the Name Of Our Saviour.*

    We are given witness in x *Isaiah 9:6* For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and *HIS Name* shall be called *Wonderful* , *Counsellor* , *The Mighty God/El Shaddi* , *The Everlasting Father* , *The Prince of Peace* .

    The words must be seen in The Hebrew Context.

    *These are Four Descriptive Words Making An Eternal Revelation:*

    *#1. That The Son Is Wonderful*

    *#2. That The Son Is Counsellor*

    *#3. That The Son Is The Mighty God {El Shaddi}*

    *Matthew 2:23* Behold, a *virgin* shall be with *child* , and shall bring forth a *son*, and they shall call *HIS NAME EMMANU EL* , which being *interpreted* is, *God with us.*

  • Good morning, brethren.
    1. Morning devotion for today.

    MD.i. MORNING TEA
    THE WORD FOR TODAY
    SUNDAY AUGUST 2, 2O26.
    "TAKE THE PLUNGE (2)"

    ‘…Underneath are the everlasting arms...’ Deuteronomy 33:27 NKJV

    PICTURE THIS: A father and his two small children are playing. He’s in the swimming pool, and he invites them to run and jump into his arms. One does, the other doesn’t. The one who doesn’t, watches gleefully, applauds, and jumps up and down. But when her dad invites her to do the same she shakes her head and backs away. Is that you? Living on the edge of the pool, never taking the plunge, happy to experience life vicariously through others? Preferring to take no risk, rather than any risk? For fear of the worst, you never enjoy the best. You say, ‘But I’m not sure what I’m jumping into!’ Read this: ‘Underneath are the everlasting arms.’ Foolishness is closing your eyes and jumping before you know there’s even water in the pool, or that your father has said, ‘Come, I’ll catch you.’ Faith is knowing that the only way to conquer your fear of the water is to take the leap, because the One who is calling you has been there for you from the moment you became His child. Nothing is more important to Him than your safety, the development of your faith, and your total success in life. God told Joshua, ‘…arise, go over this Jordan…to the land which I am giving Eunice Gankpe …Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go’ (Joshua 1:2, 7 NKJV). Note the words, ‘Arise, go, be strong.’ In other words: take the plunge!

    *NOTHING WITHOUT HIM* 🫵🏽🏽‍🏽‍🏽🏽‍🏽

    ```TEXT:JOHN 15:1-5```
    ```KEY VERSE:``` _*"I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing" (JOHN 15:5).*_

    *Humanity has witnessed incredible feats over the centuries, especially in the fields of science and technology. While these developments have improved the standard of living across the world, it has equally fuelled or, at most, reinforced atheistic and contemptuous dispositions of despisers of God. Some folks, indeed, think that God should completely stay away from the affairs of earthlings. They can boast of transgender surgery that changes sex identity at birth to something that God did not intend, all in an attempt to part ways with Him. Unknown to such warped minds, they are only trying to deform or alter what God has created. The effective way of parting ways with God would have been to create their own man or woman before meddling with their features, but not from the dust of the soil which He created. This is simply impossible!*

    *Our Lord Jesus Christ was unequivocal about man's grave inability to exist or function without Him. Just as man and his habitat could not have come into existence without Him, so we should always lean on Him, not only for sustenance, but also for survival. We live at the pleasure of God. Our breath comes from Him. Nature, through its atmosphere, land, vegetation, oceans, and rivers, from which we draw what we consume in food, manufacturing, and industry, belongs to Him. The feeble man is humiliatingly overwhelmed by his Creator.*

    *Thus helplessly exposed, man must not be arrogant or presumptuous because of any inventions, whose feats and contraptions are toys as they stand in contrast to the great galactic formations overlooking our planet. We must revere the One Who brought them forth. It's contemptuous to contemn Him by telling Him we have had enough of Him, and that we can take care of ourselves.*

    *Everyone needs God and His unfailing love and laws more than ever before to deliver them from the trap and deadly consequences of sin. We need more of Christ's presence to dominate our souls, government structures, homes, schools, public places, and worship centres. We need His peace in a troubled world on the brink of collapse. We need Him also to usher us into the hereafter of eternal joy.*

    *The burning bush symbolises the condition of the children of Israel in Egypt. God appeared to Moses miraculously to draw his attention to the suffering of His people in the hands of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt.*

    *Moses turned aside to see the burning bush, and God spoke to him about the affliction of His people and sent him to deliver them from Egypt. Sinning youths are expected to turn to God for their salvation without delay.*

    *Believers are expected to respond to the call of God to reach out to sinners around them. Jesus has commanded all believers to go into all parts of the world to preach the gospel to every creature. The big question is: Are there youths who are ready to turn aside like Moses did to hear the call of God?*

    *Our society is burning with young boys and girls who have lost the true meaning of life. God is calling on Christian youths to use the gospel to deliver sinners from eternal damnation in hell. Give your life to your Creator, and answer His call to save your generation.*

    ```Key Verse:``` _*"They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham" (John 8:39).*_
    Has someone ever told you that you resemble one of your parents? That can only happen if that person has known your parents before. However, that remark may only be true about your physical appearance, but not in your conduct.
    There are some children, of course, whose physical appearance and conduct are entirely different from those of their parents. That means, good and godly parents can produce bad and wicked children, like the case of Eli and his sons.
    Jesus knows who Abraham was (John 8:58). The Lord said He could not see any part of the character of the children of Israel that resembled that of Abraham they claimed to be their father. How could they claim to be children of Abraham who feared, obeyed and loved God, and yet go against the way and the will of God? Jesus concluded that they were children of the devil and not of Abraham (John 8:44).
    One's behaviour betrays him or her. No one can hate Christ, disobey His word, reject Him as Saviour and even want to kill Him, and claim to be a child of God. There are many people who use religion as a cover-up to hate and reject Christ. That is because they do not know the true God at all.
    *Are you one of those children who say they are children of God, friends of Jesus, but their behaviours are sinful and ungodly? It is only through your Christ-like and righteous life that others can know whether you are a true friend of Jesus or not.*
    *ABIDING IN CHRIST: THE SECRET OF A FRUITFUL LIFE*
    *TEXT:* JOHN 15:1–5
    1. I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
    2. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
    3. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
    4. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
    5. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
    *TimelessTruth:*
    _Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord._ (1 Corinthians 15:58).
    *INTRODUCTION*
    George Washington Carver (1864–1943), the renowned agricultural scientist and devoted Christian, transformed farming in the southern United States by encouraging crop rotation and better soil management. He often spent time in prayer before beginning his research, believing that wisdom came from God. Carver once remarked, "I love to think of nature as an unlimited broadcasting station, through which God speaks to us every hour." One of the lessons farmers understand is that a branch separated from the vine cannot bear fruit, regardless of how healthy it once appeared. Its life depends entirely upon its connection to the vine. The branch does not struggle to produce fruit; it simply remains connected, and the life of the vine flows through it.
    Jesus used this familiar agricultural picture in John 15 to teach one of the greatest truths of the Christian life: fruitfulness is the result of abiding in Him. *"Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.*
    ( Jeremiah 17:7–8)
    Our effectiveness in Christian living does not depend upon our talents, education or strength, but upon our continual fellowship with Christ.
    His followers, are not merely to admire the Vine, but to abide in it. The Christian life is not sustained by occasional moments of devotion, but by a continual relationship with Christ. The branch has no independent life. Its strength, nourishment and fruitfulness all come from the vine. Likewise, believers flourish only as they remain connected to Jesus through faith, obedience, prayer and His Word.
    This passage challenges us to examine our lives:
    Are we merely attached to Christ outwardly or are we truly abiding in Him?
    Are we busy with religious activity while neglecting personal fellowship with the Saviour?
    Is the fruit of the Spirit becoming increasingly evident in our character and conduct?
    God is more concerned with fruitfulness than mere busyness. A fruitful life glorifies Him, blesses others and bears lasting eternal value. When difficulties come, remember that the Father's pruning is not punishment, but preparation. He lovingly removes what hinders growth so that we may bear more fruit. May we daily abide in Christ, depend upon His strength and allow His life to be seen through ours.
    *1. The Source of Fruitfulness*
    a. Jesus identifies Himself as the True Vine and His Father as the Vinedresser.
    Jesus alone is the true source of spiritual life and lasting fruit. The Father lovingly removes unfruitful branches and prunes fruitful ones to increase their productivity.
    b. God's purpose is not merely that believers exist, but that they bear much fruit for His glory. God desires every believer to grow spiritually. His discipline and pruning are expressions of His love, preparing us for greater usefulness.
    *Questions*
    Am I allowing God to remove attitudes, habits or priorities that hinder my spiritual growth? Is my life producing spiritual fruit that brings glory to God?
    *2. The Secret of Fellowship*
    a. Jesus calls His disciples to remain in Him continually.
    The disciples had been made clean through Christ's teaching. Abiding is a daily, deliberate choice to remain in close fellowship with Christ.
    *Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving*
    (Colossians 4:2).
    b. Spiritual life flourishes through constant dependence upon Jesus. A fruitful Christian life is maintained by regular prayer, Bible study, worship and obedience.
    *Questions*
    What practical habits help me remain closely connected with Christ each day. Am I spending time with Christ consistently or only when difficulties arise?*
    *3. The Strength of Dependence*
    a.Jesus declares that apart from Him, believers can do nothing of eternal value. Every ability for effective Christian living comes from Christ.
    Apostle Paul declared: *“I can do all things through Christ who strengtheneth me.” (Philippians 4:13)* Fruitfulness begins when believers surrender completely to Christ's leadership.
    b. Those who abide in Christ bear much fruit because His life flows through them.
    Lasting spiritual success is not achieved through self-effort, but through continual dependence upon Christ.
    *Questions*
    Am I relying on my own strength or on Christ's power in my daily life and ministry? Can others see evidence of Christ's life and character in me?
    *Prayer Points*
    1. Lord Jesus, help me to abide in You daily through prayer, obedience and Your Word.
    2. Father, produce in my life the fruit of the Holy Spirit that glorifies Your name.
    3. Lord, give me grace to accept Your loving discipline so that I may become more useful in Your service.
    4. Heavenly Father, keep me from relying on my own strength and teach me to depend entirely upon Christ.
    *Hymn:* I am Thine Oh Lord.
    *THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* JOHN 4-5.
    2. Morning Prayer for today.
    MP.i. Morning Prayer
    This [is] the day [which] the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. ⏤ Psalm 118:24
    The soul needs Sabbath to rest and recharge. ⏤ Wesley L. Duewel
    O God, we thank You for this holy Sunday. It is Your day, honored and made sacred by You from the beginning. It was made even more holy by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. It is full of holy hopes as it reminds us of the eternal rest in Heaven. We thank You for all that this day means to us in our personal lives and for the blessings it has brought to our home. We thank You for its quiet rest, that we can cease from our weekday toil and spend the day with You.
    May You make this a day of real blessing to us. May Heaven’s windows be opened, and may holy blessings be poured upon us. Bless our home life today. May we grow closer together as a family. May our affection be sweetened. Fill our hearts with Your love—then we will love each other as we should. Bless our home conversation. May it be beneficial to us, ministering grace to our hearts, and may it be worthy of the day. Help us to shut out of our lives anything that is worldly or unworthy of You. May Your Spirit fill our home, bringing gentle, enriching influences.
    Bless our worship in Your house. Go with us and help us to honor You in the public services. Open our eyes to see wonderful things in Your word. Sanctify the worship and instruction we receive in the sanctuary. May we be so blessed in our hearts by waiting on You that we will be ready for good service all week.
    Help us also to be a blessing to others today. Fill us with Your Spirit so that every life that touches ours will receive a blessing from us.
    We ask all these Sunday blessings from Your hand, humbly, faithfully, and joyfully, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
    Good morning, brethren. 1. Morning devotion for today. MD.i. 😀💝🌺🎁🌹🎀 MORNING TEA THE WORD FOR TODAY SUNDAY AUGUST 2, 2O26. "TAKE THE PLUNGE (2)" ‘…Underneath are the everlasting arms...’ Deuteronomy 33:27 NKJV PICTURE THIS: A father and his two small children are playing. He’s in the swimming pool, and he invites them to run and jump into his arms. One does, the other doesn’t. The one who doesn’t, watches gleefully, applauds, and jumps up and down. But when her dad invites her to do the same she shakes her head and backs away. Is that you? Living on the edge of the pool, never taking the plunge, happy to experience life vicariously through others? Preferring to take no risk, rather than any risk? For fear of the worst, you never enjoy the best. You say, ‘But I’m not sure what I’m jumping into!’ Read this: ‘Underneath are the everlasting arms.’ Foolishness is closing your eyes and jumping before you know there’s even water in the pool, or that your father has said, ‘Come, I’ll catch you.’ Faith is knowing that the only way to conquer your fear of the water is to take the leap, because the One who is calling you has been there for you from the moment you became His child. Nothing is more important to Him than your safety, the development of your faith, and your total success in life. God told Joshua, ‘…arise, go over this Jordan…to the land which I am giving [you] …Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go’ (Joshua 1:2, 7 NKJV). Note the words, ‘Arise, go, be strong.’ In other words: take the plunge! Bible In A Year: Deut 28-29, Matt 13:47-58, Ps 119:1-8, Pro 17:3. While these developments have improved the standard of living across the world, it has equally fuelled or, at most, reinforced atheistic and contemptuous dispositions of despisers of God. They can boast of transgender surgery that changes sex identity at birth to something that God did not intend, all in an attempt to part ways with Him. Unknown to such warped minds, they are only trying to deform or alter what God has created. The effective way of parting ways with God would have been to create their own man or woman before meddling with their features, but not from the dust of the soil which He created. This is simply impossible!* *Our Lord Jesus Christ was unequivocal about man's grave inability to exist or function without Him. Just as man and his habitat could not have come into existence without Him, so we should always lean on Him, not only for sustenance, but also for survival. We live at the pleasure of God. Our breath comes from Him. Nature, through its atmosphere, land, vegetation, oceans, and rivers, from which we draw what we consume in food, manufacturing, and industry, belongs to Him.
