• Income Is Important. Stewardship Is More Important.

Many people pray for increase, but God often looks first at how faithfully we manage what He has already placed in our hands.

The Bible reminds us that "Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much." (Luke 16:10)

Financial peace is not simply the result of abundance; it is the fruit of wisdom, discipline, and faithful stewardship. God calls us to be good managers not only of our money but also of our time, gifts, relationships, and every opportunity He provides.

When we waste what we have, we may struggle to appreciate what we desire. But when we honor God through faithful management, we position ourselves for greater responsibility and greater blessings.

Before asking God for more, ask yourself: Am I being faithful with what He has already given me?

The path to lasting increase is paved with faithful stewardship.

Manage well. Serve faithfully. Trust God for the increase.
"Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful." — 1 Corinthians 4:2

  • EXPLORING THE POWER AND AUTHORITY OF A FATHER

"The Hand That Blesses, Builds; The Hand That Rules, Shapes Destiny"

    LEAD SCRIPTURE
    1 Chronicles 26:10 (KJV)

"Also Hosah, of the children of Merari, had sons; Simri the chief, (for though he was not the firstborn, yet his father made him the chief;)"

    INTRODUCTION
One of the most mysterious powers God delegated to humanity is the authority of fatherhood.
From Genesis to Revelation, fathers appear not merely as biological progenitors but as custodians of destiny, distributors of inheritance, architects of family culture, and gatekeepers of generational blessings (Genesis 18:19; Ephesians 6:4; Hebrews 12:7-10).

The story of Simri raises a thought-provoking question: Why would a younger son become chief while older brothers remained under him? Was Hosah partial? Was this favoritism? Or was it a judgment based on character, competence, wisdom, and trustworthiness?

Scripture repeatedly reveals that while God respects order, He also values character above mere seniority (1 Samuel 16:7; Matthew 20:16; Romans 9:12-13).

The painful truth is that many destinies rise or fall under the influence of fathers.

A father's blessing can open gates no man can shut (Genesis 27:27-29), while a father's curse can close doors for generations (Genesis 9:24-27).

THE REALITIES OF PATERNAL POWERS AND AUTHORITY

    1. Fathers Possess The Power To Establish Identity
    Genesis 2:23-24
    Genesis 17:5
    Luke 15:22-24
Abram became Abraham through a fatherly declaration from God. Identity often precedes destiny.

    2. Fathers Can Transfer Blessings
    Genesis 27:27-29
    Genesis 48:13-20
    Hebrews 11:20-21
Isaac's blessing altered Jacob's future. Jacob crossed his hands and elevated Ephraim above Manasseh.

    3. Fathers Can Reposition Destinies
    1 Chronicles 26:10
    Genesis 49:3-4
    1 Chronicles 5:1-2
Reuben lost preeminence. Joseph and Judah inherited portions originally meant for him.

    4. Fathers Can Build Or Destroy Through Words
    Proverbs 18:21
    Genesis 49:1-28
    Numbers 14:28
Words are destiny-carrying vehicles. Jacob's pronouncements followed his sons for generations.

    5. Fathers Can Open Doors Of Inheritance
    Luke 15:11-32
    Galatians 4:1-2
    Deuteronomy 21:15-17
Inheritance is not merely property; it includes influence, opportunities, and legacy.

    6. Fathers Can Promote Based On Character
    1 Samuel 16:11-13
    Genesis 41:39-41
    Matthew 25:21
God and godly fathers often reward faithfulness rather than age.

    7. Fathers Can Delay Or Accelerate Purpose
    Judges 11:1-7
    Genesis 37:3-11
    Exodus 2:1-10
Family decisions often shape the timing of destiny manifestation.

    8. Fathers Carry Governmental Authority
    Joshua 24:15
    Job 1:5
    Ephesians 5:23
The father serves as a governing authority within the family structure.

    9. Fathers Shape Generational Culture
    Deuteronomy 6:6-9
    Psalm 78:5-7
    2 Timothy 1:5
Values transmitted by fathers become family traditions.

    10. Fathers Leave Legacies Beyond Death
    Hebrews 11:4
    Genesis 50:24-25
    1 Kings 2:1-4
A true father speaks beyond his lifetime.

    WISDOM NOTES

    Wisdom Note #1
Being firstborn does not automatically qualify one for leadership. Character sustains what birth order cannot.

    Wisdom Note #2
Promotion is not always favoritism. Sometimes it is the reward of hidden faithfulness.

    Wisdom Note #3
Many people blame "destiny swapping" when the real issue is neglected responsibility.

    Wisdom Note #4
Every father is writing tomorrow's history through today's decisions.

    Wisdom Note #5
A wise father does not merely raise children; he raises successors.

    Wisdom Note #6
The greatest inheritance is not wealth but wisdom, character, and covenant.

    Wisdom Note #7
Before God entrusts authority to a person, He examines the person's ability to manage responsibility.

    FINAL THOUGHTS
The story of Simri reminds us that heaven's promotions are often based on principles deeper than human traditions. Reuben lost what Judah gained. Saul lost what David inherited. Esau despised what Jacob valued. Vashti abandoned what Esther embraced.
    The lesson is sobering:
Never assume your position is secure simply because it was given to you.
Honor, influence, authority, leadership, and opportunities must be stewarded wisely.
A father's authority is one of the strongest earthly forces God created. It can launch destinies into greatness or leave scars across generations.
Therefore, whether you are a father, a spiritual leader, or a future parent, remember:
You are not merely raising children—you are shaping generations.

    PRAYER LINES
Father, grant me the wisdom to steward every responsibility You have entrusted to me!

Every blessing assigned to my destiny, I shall not lose through carelessness, in Jesus' name!

Lord, heal every negative effect of wrong parental decisions operating in my lineage!

Let every generational blessing hidden in my family line locate me by mercy!

Father, raise godly fathers, mentors, and leaders who will shape generations for Your glory!

Every spirit of rejection, demotion, and displacement fighting my purpose, be broken by fire!

Lord, establish me in the place You have ordained for me before the foundations of the world!

  • Avoiding Errors That Cancel Divine Promises

    Numbers 14:1–4, 22–23 (KJV)

“Because all those men which have seen my glory, and my miracles… and have tempted me now these ten times, and have not hearkened to my voice; Surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers…”

    INTRODUCTION

God is a promise-keeping God. Throughout Scripture, He reveals Himself as faithful, unchanging, and true to His word (Numbers 23:19).

However, while God’s promises are sure, human behavior can delay, hinder, or completely cancel the fulfillment of divine promises in an individual’s life.

Many people are called, chosen, anointed, and promised greatness—yet never arrive at their God-ordained destination because of avoidable errors. This sermon is a call to identify, understand, and avoid errors that nullify divine promises.

    1. Unbelief and Doubt

    Hebrews 3:18–19
“So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.”

Unbelief is one of the most dangerous spiritual errors. The Israelites were promised the Promised Land, but their constant doubt and fear caused God to swear that they would never enter.

You cannot enjoy what you do not believe.

    Indicators of unbelief:

    Complaining instead of trusting

    Fear replacing faith

Looking at problems more than God’s power

Faith is the currency for accessing divine promises (Hebrews 11:6).

    2. Disobedience to Divine Instructions

    1 Samuel 15:22–23

“To obey is better than sacrifice…”

King Saul lost his throne not because he was not chosen, but because he partially obeyed God. Partial obedience is full disobedience in God’s sight.

Every divine promise is tied to divine instructions.

    When obedience stops, fulfillment stops.

    3. Impatience and Fleshly Shortcuts

    Genesis 16:1–4
Abraham was promised a son, but impatience led him to produce Ishmael, creating generational conflict.

Impatience pushes people to help God—and that often creates long-term problems.

Waiting is not wasted time when God is involved (Isaiah 40:31).

    4. Sin and Compromise

    Joshua 7:10–12
Achan’s hidden sin caused Israel’s defeat at Ai.

One tolerated sin can block many blessings.

God’s promises do not override God’s holiness.

    5. Dishonor and Lack of Respect for Authority

    Exodus 20:12

“Honour thy father and thy mother…”

Many divine promises are conditional upon honor—honor for God, spiritual authorities, parents, and divine order.

What you dishonor, you disconnect from.

    6. Murmuring and Negative Confession

    Numbers 14:28

“As truly as I live… as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you.”

The Israelites spoke themselves out of destiny.

Your mouth can cancel what God has promised.

Speak in alignment with God’s word, not your situation (Proverbs 18:21).

    7. Lack of Perseverance

    Galatians 6:9

“Let us not be weary in well doing…”

Many people quit too early—just before fulfillment.

Promises are not for quitters but for endurance-driven believers.

HOW TO PRESERVE AND FULFILL DIVINE PROMISES

Walk daily in faith and trust God’s word

    Obey God fully and promptly

    Maintain holiness and repentance

    Practice patience and divine timing

    Speak positively and prophetically

    Honor divine structures

    Persevere through trials

    CONCLUSION

Divine promises are real, powerful, and guaranteed—but they are not automatic.

God is faithful, yet He requires responsibility from man. Many destinies are not destroyed by Satan but by avoidable errors.

Let us make a conscious decision to walk wisely, obey completely, believe consistently, and wait patiently—so that nothing cancels what God has promised us.

    CLOSING PRAYER

“Father, in the name of Jesus, I receive grace to avoid every error that can cancel Your promises in my life. Strengthen my faith, align my heart with obedience, purify my walk, and lead me into full fulfillment of Your word. Amen.”

  • Past Victories Do Not Guarantee Future Success.

One of the greatest dangers in the Christian journey is spiritual complacency.

Many believers rely on yesterday’s testimonies, former anointing, or past achievements and assume tomorrow is secure.

While past victories are proofs of God’s faithfulness, they are not licenses for future success. Every generation, season, and assignment requires fresh obedience, renewed faith, and continued dependence on God.

God does not relate with us based on history alone; He relates with us based on our present walk and future obedience.

    1. PAST VICTORIES ARE MEMORIALS, NOT GUARANTEES

    Deuteronomy 8:2–3
God reminded Israel of their journey through the wilderness—not so they would boast, but so they would remain humble and dependent on Him.

    Past victories should:

    Build gratitude, not pride

    Increase faith, not complacency

    Encourage obedience, not carelessness

When memories replace discipline, failure is near.

    2. SAMSON: ANOINTED YESTERDAY, POWERLESS TODAY

    Judges 16:20
“…and he wist not that the LORD was departed from him.”

Samson defeated lions, armies, and strongholds in the past.

However, familiarity with victory bred carelessness with consecration. His past anointing did not preserve him from present disobedience.

Anointing without discipline leads to disgrace. God’s presence must be sustained, not assumed.

    3. SAUL: SELECTED BY GOD, REJECTED BY GOD

    1 Samuel 15:22–23
Saul began well—humble, chosen, anointed, and victorious. However, partial obedience and pride caused God to reject him.

Past obedience does not excuse present rebellion. God values obedience more than sacrifice and history.

    4. ISRAEL: DELIVERED FROM EGYPT, DEFEATED IN THE WILDERNESS

    Hebrews 3:16–19
Though Israel saw miracles—Red Sea crossing, manna, water from the rock—many never entered the Promised Land due to unbelief and disobedience.

Miracles do not replace faithfulness. Experience is not the same as endurance.

    5. PETER: CONFIDENT IN THE PAST, BROKEN IN THE PRESENT

    Matthew 26:33–35, 69–75
Peter walked on water and saw transfiguration, yet denied Jesus three times. Confidence in past encounters blinded him to his present weakness.

Self-confidence is dangerous when it replaces prayer and vigilance.

    6. WHY PAST VICTORIES FAIL TO SUSTAIN FUTURE SUCCESS

New levels bring new battles – Ecclesiastes 3:1

    Yesterday’s grace is not today’s obedience – Matthew 6:34

Spiritual life requires daily renewal – Lamentations 3:22–23

The enemy studies your history – Judges 16:21

    7. HOW TO SECURE FUTURE SUCCESS

    a. Maintain Humility

    James 4:6
God resists the proud, even if they were once victorious.

    b. Live in Daily Dependence on God

    John 15:5
Apart from Christ, past success means nothing.

    c. Stay Obedient in Every Season

    Luke 11:28
    Obedience sustains what victory introduces.

    d. Keep Growing Spiritually

    Philippians 3:13–14
    Never settle—press forward.

    e. Finish Well

    2 Timothy 4:7
The crown is not for starters, but finishers.

    CONCLUSION

Past victories are testimonies of God’s faithfulness, not proofs of permanent approval.

Many began well and ended poorly because they relied on yesterday’s oil.

God demands fresh obedience for fresh grace.

Do not live on old encounters. Seek God daily. Obey Him completely. Walk humbly. Only then can past victories become stepping stones—not stumbling blocks—to future success.

    PRAYER POINTS
Lord, deliver me from pride rooted in past success.

Father, renew my hunger for You daily.

Help me to obey You fully, not partially.

Restore any area where I have become careless.

Grant me grace to finish my race well.

WHY PAST VICTORIES FAIL TO SUSTAIN FUTURE SUCCESS New levels bring new battles – Ecclesiastes 3:1 Yesterday’s grace is not today’s obedience – Matthew 6:34 Spiritual life requires daily renewal – Lamentations 3:22–23 The enemy studies your history – Judges 16:21 7. HOW TO SECURE FUTURE SUCCESS a. Maintain Humility James 4:6 God resists the proud, even if they were once victorious. b. Live in Daily Dependence on God John 15:5 Apart from Christ, past success means nothing. c. Stay Obedient in Every Season Luke 11:28 Obedience sustains what victory introduces. d. Keep Growing Spiritually Philippians 3:13–14 Never settle—press forward. e. Finish Well 2 Timothy 4:7 The crown is not for starters, but finishers. CONCLUSION Past victories are testimonies of God’s faithfulness, not proofs of permanent approval. PRAYER POINTS Lord, deliver me from pride rooted in past success. Father, renew my hunger for You daily. Help me to obey You fully, not partially. Restore any area where I have become careless. Grant me grace to finish my race well. • What You Choose Today Determines Where You Stand Tomorrow!

Life is shaped by choices. Every day, consciously or unconsciously, we make decisions that set a direction for our future.

Scripture consistently teaches that today’s choices determine tomorrow’s outcomes.

God, in His love, grants humanity the power of choice, but He also establishes consequences.

This sermon calls us to examine our daily decisions and align them with God’s will, knowing that where we stand tomorrow is largely determined by what we choose.

    1. God Has Given Humanity the Power of Choice

    Deuteronomy 30:19
“I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life…”

God does not force obedience; He invites it. From the Garden of Eden to the present day, God places choices before people.

The responsibility to choose rightly rests with us. Spiritual maturity begins when we accept accountability for our decisions.

Lesson: Choice is a gift, but responsibility is the price that comes with it.

    2. Every Choice Carries Consequences

    Galatians 6:7–8
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”

No decision is neutral. What we sow today—through words, habits, relationships, and obedience—will produce a harvest tomorrow.

Small compromises can lead to major consequences, while small acts of faithfulness can open great doors.

Lesson: Tomorrow’s harvest is planted by today’s actions.

    3. Daily Choices Shape Character and Destiny

    Proverbs 4:26
“Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.”

Destiny is not determined in a single dramatic moment; it is shaped by consistent daily choices.

Character is formed by repeated decisions—choosing integrity over convenience, obedience over comfort, discipline over distraction.

Lesson: You do not arrive at destiny by accident; you arrive there by decisions.

    4. Choosing God Determines Your Future Standing

    Joshua 24:15
“…choose you this day whom ye will serve…”

Choosing God is not a one-time event; it is a daily commitment. When we choose God’s way, His Word, and His presence, we position ourselves to stand in victory, favor, and purpose tomorrow.

Lesson: Who you choose to serve today determines where you will stand tomorrow.

    5. Faithfulness in Small Choices Prepares You for Greater Responsibility.

    Luke 16:10
“He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much…”

God evaluates our readiness for tomorrow by how we handle today.

Faithfulness in small decisions—time management, honesty, prayer, and stewardship—qualifies us for greater opportunities.

Lesson: Today’s faithfulness secures tomorrow’s promotion.

    Conclusion

Your future is not a mystery; it is being written daily by your choices.

You cannot change yesterday, but you can decide today. When you choose life, obedience, and righteousness today, you secure a better standing tomorrow—spiritually, morally, and eternally.

    Call to Action

-- Examine your current choices honestly.

-- Identify areas where compromise has replaced conviction.

-- Make a deliberate decision to align your life with God’s Word starting today.

    Altar Call

If you recognize that your past choices have led you away from God, today is an opportunity for change.

God is calling you back to Himself.

    Choose life. Choose Christ.

Choose obedience today so you can stand in righteousness tomorrow.

    Prayer Points

Father, give me the grace to make godly choices daily (James 1:5).

Lord, deliver me from habits and decisions that lead away from Your will.

Holy Spirit, guide my thoughts, words, and actions every day.

Help me to sow seeds today that will produce righteous harvests tomorrow.

I choose life, obedience, and purpose in Jesus’ name.

    Closing Declaration
I choose God’s will today. I walk in obedience today. I secure a victorious and righteous tomorrow, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  • What You Sow Determines What You Reap!

The principle of sowing and reaping is one of the most consistent laws established by God.

    Galatians 6:7–9 (KJV)
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”

It operates in the natural world and equally in the spiritual realm.

Seeds determine harvests; actions determine outcomes; choices determine destinies.

Many people desire a good harvest, but few are intentional about the kind of seeds they sow. Scripture makes it clear: what you sow today will determine what you reap tomorrow.

    1. THE LAW OF SOWING AND REAPING IS DIVINE AND UNCHANGEABLE

God is not mocked. No one can cheat this principle.

You cannot sow dishonesty and reap favor, nor sow laziness and reap success. God’s laws are impartial and consistent.

    Genesis 8:22
“While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest… shall not cease.”

As long as the earth exists, this law will continue to operate.

Note: Harvest may delay, but you cannot deny it.

    2. YOU ALWAYS REAP WHAT YOU SOW

    Hosea 8:7
“They have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind.”
Small negative seeds often produce multiplied negative harvests.

    Proverbs 22:8
“He that soweth iniquity shall reap vanity.”

Likewise, righteous seeds produce righteous rewards.

    2 Corinthians 9:6
“He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.”

Note: The quality of your seed determines the quality of your harvest.

    3. YOU REAP MORE THAN YOU SOW

A farmer plants one seed but expects many fruits. In the same way, every seed—good or bad—returns multiplied.

    Luke 6:38
“Give, and it shall be given unto you… good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over.”

Note: Be careful with your words, actions, attitudes, and decisions; they multiply.

    4. YOU REAP AFTER YOU SOW

    Ecclesiastes 3:1–2
“There is a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted.”

Many people give up because harvest does not appear immediately.

    Galatians 6:9
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Note: Delay is not denial. Harvest comes in God’s appointed season.

    5. AREAS WHERE WE SOW DAILY

    * Words – Proverbs 18:21

    * Actions – Matthew 7:16

    * Time and Effort – Proverbs 12:11

    * Finances – Malachi 3:10

    * Spiritual Life – Galatians 6:8

What you sow in these areas will shape your future.

    CONCLUSION

Your life today is a product of seeds sown in the past, and your future will be shaped by the seeds you sow now.

If you desire a different harvest, you must sow different seeds. Choose righteousness, obedience, generosity, faith, and diligence.

God is faithful to reward every good seed sown according to His Word.
