    SUNDAY

    GOD'S WORD FOR THE DAY

    “Giving God Our Best”

    2 Kings 12:11

“Then they gave the money, which was weighed out, into the hands of those who did the work, who had the oversight of the house of the Lord.”

This is the Word of God. 2 Kings 12 describes how King Joash took action to repair the temple of the Lord. The work required careful stewardship of the resources that had been entrusted to them. The people gave, the workers served, and the temple was restored.

This reminds us that what we give to God should be handled with faithfulness and responsibility. Our time, abilities, possessions, and resources are all gifts from Him, and we are called to use them for His glory.

Serving God is not merely about giving something; it is about giving our best with an honest and willing heart. Whether our contribution seems great or small, God values faithfulness.

May God help us to be faithful stewards of everything He has entrusted to us and to give Him our best in every area of our lives. Amen.

Have a blessed day with the Lord.

Confused Priorities Can Seriously Hinder Our Walk With Christ

Walking with Christ is a journey of intentional devotion, yet many believers find their spiritual progress stalled. The culprit is rarely overt rebellion; rather, it is the subtle, creeping danger of confused priorities. When worldly ambitions, anxieties, and fleeting pleasures crowd out the Lord, our spiritual vitality withers.
Jesus addressed this peril directly in the Parable of the Sower. In Luke 8:14, He describes the seed that falls among thorns: "The seeds that fell among thorns stand for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature." Notice that these individuals heard the Word, but their spiritual growth was choked out. Misplaced priorities—chasing wealth, stressing over daily survival, or living for entertainment—act like spiritual weeds. They consume our emotional and mental energy, leaving no room for a vibrant relationship with Christ.
When our focus is divided, our spiritual sight becomes completely blurred. Jesus warns in Matthew 6:24: "No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money." Financial security or worldly success easily masquerades as a master, dictating our time, decisions, and passions. When we attempt to split our allegiance between God and the world, spiritual paralysis sets in. We become lukewarm, drifting away from the transforming power of the Holy Spirit.
Moreover, accommodating sin or holding onto competing loyalties fractures our intimacy with God. As James 4:4 sharply reminds us, "You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God." Friendship with the world here denotes adopting its value system. When we prioritize worldly acceptance over divine obedience, we actively hinder our communion with Christ.
Ultimately, confused priorities rob us of our spiritual fruitfulness and joy. To experience the abundant life Jesus promised, we must ruthlessly evaluate our schedules and hearts, cutting away the clutter. Realigning our lives with Christ restores our purpose, clearing the thorns so we can walk closely and powerfully with our Savior.

    Personal Closing Prayer…

Lord, forgive me for the times I have allowed worldly worries, ambitions, and distractions to choke out my devotion to You. Open my eyes to see where my priorities have drifted away from Your kingdom. Cleanse my heart from a divided allegiance, and grant me the grace to reject the pull of this world. Realign my steps, Lord, so that I may walk closely, single-mindedly, and faithfully with Christ every single day. Amen.

  • Getting banned & shut down on YouTube sure is aggravating & inconvenient!

My video post claims it's too long for here, even after trimming so I will post the transcript!

So, I guess my video must have really chapped someones backside yesterday because I woke up this morning to the news that my you tube channel has been shut down after right about a year & almost 600 followers. They claim I'm in violation of some sort of spam, deceptive practices or scam policy when all I've done is speak some truths. Atleast I have biblically based messages of faith, salvation & recovery, not useless brain rot & dribble. Not once have I ever asked anyone for money or to click on a link that's a hack site, nor have I led anyone down a path that I wouldn't walk on or haven't walked on myself. And sure, I've had some get upset with me & they voice their opinions & sometimes I even offer a rebutle but most of the time when someone doesn't like what someone has to say on their page they just swipe along & move onto something they enjoy more. I'm not sure who got upset about my post yesterday but I'll say again for clarity, prosperity gospel is misleading! You cannot buy your way into heaven by making some preacher mega rich & no, God won't bless your life any more when you do give more because it's not about the amount, it's about freely giving from your heart what you can, not chasing a fairy tale that some well dressed man tells you! God never promised anyone a cooshy life & maybe that's what gets some of you worked up because many christians & churches have watered down the bible to make them feel good to keep attendance & donations up instead of really paying attention & digging deep into God's word. No matter what some may think of me I have appealed their decision & I will continue on my other current platforms as I feel called to plant seeds of hope, salvation & love in others. I will likely make a new youtube account because I am unashamed of my faith & I'm not scared of any establishment's silly guidelines that violate my 1st amendment right of free speach & freedom of religion! I'm an american, I'm an air force veteran & above all I am happily a child of God!

  • SO, you're contemplating finding a second job where you get paid hourly. Here are some average numbers that you should consider before going that direction.
Let's say you can find an opportunity to earn $20/hour and work four extra hours each day. That is $80 per day or $400 weekly. For a full year that works out to $20,800. That really sounds good. Maybe you can pay off some credit card debt, pay off a student loan, make some needed repairs around the house, or any number of other ways to use it.

But, wait! Before you put all that money in the bank, there are costs related to this extra income source. First of all, the extra income may put you in a higher tax bracket. At the very least you will probably pay 25% of that extra earnings in federal tax. Plus, you will also have to pay 7.65% FICA tax on that income. That alone will reduce your earnings by $6,800. Now you're only getting $14,000. According to recent studies in the US, the daily expenses incurred by someone working a second job (food, clothing, fuel, parking, etc), averages around $60 per day...not including childcare. That works out to $15,600! WELL, that means you are now paying to work this second job!

NOW WHAT? What alternative do you have?

Comment below "HELP" to learn what I've found.

  • Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.

I have made a proclamation and sealed it with my signet ring … “The Germans may never return home. They are the only ones who know where my stuff is.” Haha.

Years ago when the kids would come and visit, we would randomly look for something. It was then that my daughter-in-law would produce it from wherever it was that I had securely placed it and promptly forgot. If memory serves, I even texted her one day, after they had gone home, and asked if she knew where something was. I had already searched the house; why not ask the expert. Haha.

Last night, a friend had come to borrow a stadium seat and cushion. I found the seat just fine, but could I find those stupid cushions …NO! I knew I had stacked them together, but I could not remember which safe place I had put them in. Just as I was about to give up, the oldest little came into the room I was leaving, told me that she knew where they were, and pulled out a seat cushion from the bottom shelf of the shelving unit. Eight hours later, I vaguely remember putting them there, but she is following in her mother’s footsteps … they may not leave. Haha.

Yesterday was a complete blessing day. Our son earned some money helping a friend. The littles and I went on a walk by ourselves. Then we went on a walk to the park with the other Oma. Afterwards, my hubby and I went to the doctor and picked up supper. Then I was able to secure two extremely valuable boxes of Bluey ice cream for the littlest of littles and become her favorite again. (bribery works…haha) Had a good visit with my sister and a great walk with the other Oma.

Today is looking to be a challenging but good day. Challenging because hubby is in pain from the swelling in his legs, but good because we have a family day planned. Tomorrow we will be celebrating his birthday with all the kids and enjoying God’s love.

To be honest, I know that there were some uglies yesterday; however, they are buried in the positives … deeply. I am sure that there will be uglies today, but I am just as positive that the blessings will completely overshadow any potential attempts from the enemy to darken our day.

What was your positive for yesterday? Did you have more than one? Do they overshadow the enemy’s attempts to steal your joy and peace? Shout them from the rooftops and embrace them as they create an armor of godliness. Today, walk in the Peace of the Lord and seek his righteousness … in doing so … the blessings that He has will manifest before your eyes. The possible darkness will be blinded by His presence and will have NO stamina in your day. I look forward to standing with you in His light today and embracing His love. Have a great day.

    Be blessed.

**Give thanks to the Lord, for his is good; his love endures forever. – Psalm 118:1

  • Young people today are under a lot of pressure.

    The pressure to:

    Succeed quickly.
    Make money quickly.
    Get married quickly.
    Find a job quickly.
    Become famous quickly.
    Build a business quickly.
Have life figured out in their 20s.

You see your friends succeeding, travelling, getting married, buying cars, building businesses—and suddenly you begin to ask:

“What am I doing with my life?”

    But everybody's journey is different.

    Galatians 6:9

“Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

    Message to the Youth:

Don't allow another person's success to make you give up on your own process.

You need enduring grace to survive the season when:

You have the dream but not yet the resources.
You have the vision but people don't understand it.
You have qualifications but no job yet.
You started a business but customers are few.
You are working hard, but progress seems slow.

Grace helps you continue when results are not yet visible.

Perhaps the question is not only, “How do I escape this economy?”

    Perhaps the deeper question is:

  • DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 234
    DATE: 22ND AUGUST 2026
    TOPIC: RELY ON THE LORD_2
    ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:2 Chronicles 13:18 (NKJV)
“Thus the children of Israel were subdued at that time; and the children of Judah prevailed, because they relied on the LORD God of their fathers.”
    Devotional message:

Yesterday, we saw the importance of relying completely upon God if we desire to live a victorious life. Today, we go deeper into what it means to depend upon Him: God desires our complete surrender, not divided dependence.

One reason many believers do not experience the manifestation of God's power in their lives is that they call upon God while still holding tightly to other options. They present their situation to God, but in their hearts they have already established alternative sources of help.

They say, “Lord, help me,” while simultaneously trusting in their own strength, connections, resources, strategies, or human solutions as their ultimate security.

But God desires to be our first and ultimate source.

This does not mean that we should abandon wisdom, planning, diligence, professional help, or the legitimate means God provides. Rather, it means that none of these things should take the place of God in our hearts. We may use resources, but our confidence must remain in the Lord who provides them.

Consider Jehoshaphat. When Judah was surrounded by a great multitude, he confessed their helplessness before God:2 Chronicles 20:12 (NKJV)“We have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.”

That is complete dependence. They did not merely acknowledge God as one of their options. They turned their eyes to Him.

We see a similar confidence in Abijah when Judah faced Jeroboam's army. Although Judah was greatly outnumbered, Abijah declared that they had made the Lord their God and trusted Him.And God gave them victory.

Child of God, there is a difference between asking God to help you and surrendering yourself completely to God.

When God becomes your only source of confidence, you stop being controlled by fear because your security is no longer dependent upon circumstances.People can fail you.Money can run out.Connections can disappear.Systems can collapse.Human strength can become exhausted. But God cannot fail.

    The Psalmist declares:Psalm 20:7 (NKJV)
“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the LORD our God.”

Your “chariots and horses” may be your education, business, salary, influence, relationships, experience, or possessions. These things have their place, but none of them should occupy the throne that belongs to God.

James warns that a person who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind and says that such a person is “a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways” (James 1:6–8).

A divided heart produces an unstable life. Therefore, child of God, examine your heart today:Is God truly your source, or merely one of your options?

Have you surrendered that situation completely to Him, or are you still holding onto your backup plan because you do not fully trust Him?

Surrender your life, plans, future, family, ministry, business, finances, and every concern into His hands.

    PRAYER

Heavenly Father,I choose to rely upon You completely, knowing that You will never fail.In Jesus' name, Amen.

PRAYER Heavenly Father,I choose to rely upon You completely, knowing that You will never fail.In Jesus' name, Amen. 🙏 DAILY BIBLE READING 2 Chr 20:1–23;13:1–18,Ps 20:1–9,Ps 37:3–7,Jas 1:5–8 Author : Alfred Wabuko Manyasi Contact : Email : Dominionvoicesminisrty[gmail].com Facebook : Alfred Wabuko Manyasi 🌐 Dominion Daily Devotion, 2026 © Dominion Voices Ministry

  • 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗯𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴?

This is a question every Christian entrepreneur should prayerfully consider.
We often separate our spiritual lives from our professional lives. We worship on Sunday, pray in church, read the Bible, and then step into our businesses as though the two worlds have nothing to do with each other.

But what if God can use the work of our hands as part of His purpose?

What if entrepreneurship can become an avenue to 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲, 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺𝘀, 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝗚𝗼𝗱?

This is one of the ideas explored through 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿.

Being a Christian entrepreneur does not mean that business becomes easy. It means we don't have to build without God.

We can pursue excellence without compromising our values.

We can pursue success without making money our god.

We can build boldly while remembering who gave us the ability to build.

If you are an entrepreneur, aspiring entrepreneur or simply interested in understanding how faith and business can work together, I encourage you to explore this community.
