    TOPIC: GOD'S COVENANT OF PROTECTION

    MEMORIZE:
"For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her." Zechariah 2:5 (KJV)

    BIBLE READING: PSALM 91:1-16
1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

    5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

    9 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

    MESSAGE:
The devil lures many people into evil covenants with the promise of protection; however, complete protection only exists in God. Romans 8:31 says, "... If God be for us, who can be against us?" Romans 8:37 further says that we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us. This means that, if you are in a covenant with God, you will not have to fight any battle, because He will always fight for you. Many times, you would have won the battle before you even realise that someone was trying to attack you.

I ran away from my village after some people threatened that they were going to 'eat me for breakfast,' and for 13 years, I could not return. However, after I met the Lord Jesus Christ, I was able to visit my village, and I even attended a wedding where I saw many of the people who had threatened to kill me through diabolical means. I was much younger in the faith at the time, so I had a lot of zeal but not much wisdom. I was asked to preach at the wedding, and I delivered a powerful sermon that hit them hard with the word of God. Some months later, those people went to the mother of the lady who got married and told her that it was her daughter's wedding that provided a platform for me to insult them. They further said that they had been waiting for an opportunity for revenge, and the opportunity had presented itself now that her daughter was pregnant. They told her, "We will see if your daughter will give birth, unless we are not the ones in charge here on earth." The lady's mother became frightened and came to me. I told her not to worry and assured her that on the day her daughter would give birth, all those who had threatened her would fall asleep. To the glory of God, things turned out exactly as I said; her daughter gave birth while those who threatened her were sleeping. The baby they swore would not be born is now a medical doctor.

Beloved, God said that He will be a wall of fire around you in today's memory verse, and anyone who chooses to confront the Consuming Fire will not live to tell the story. Never be afraid of any force, person, or situation that threatens to harm you. Cry out to God in such cases, and He will show up to defend you and give you victory.

    KEY POINT:
God is a wall of fire around those who are in a covenant with Him.

    “WHO GOD IS TO ME”
    MY ROCK
    Psalm 18:2 (LLV) —
“The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I take refuge; my shield, the strength of my salvation, and my stronghold.”
    Life
    does not always
    give us
    steady ground.
    Circumstances
    change.
    Plans
    collapse.
    People
    disappoint us.
    Things
    we thought
    were certain
    suddenly
    are not.
    David knew
    that kind
    of life.
    He had known
    victory
    and danger.
    Friendship
    and betrayal.
    Celebration
    and fear.
    There were times
    when he literally
    hid among
    the rocks
    to escape
    those who wanted
    to destroy him.
    Perhaps that
    is why
    his words
    carry
    such confidence.
    “The LORD
    is my rock.”
    Not:
    The LORD
    might become
    my rock
    if trouble comes.
    Not:
    The LORD
    was my rock
    when things
    were difficult.
    The LORD
    is
    my rock.
    Right now.
    David's security
    was not found
    in the stability
    of his circumstances.
    It was found
    in the unchanging
    character
    of his God.
    Then David
    keeps going.
    “My fortress.”
    When danger
    surrounds me,
    God is
    my security.
    “My deliverer.”
    When there seems
    to be
    no way out,
    God is
    my rescuer.
    “My shield.”
    When the battle
    comes close,
    God stands
    between me
    and what
    would destroy me.
    “My stronghold.”
    When everything
    around me
    feels uncertain,
    there remains
    somewhere
    I can stand.
    Notice something
    beautiful
    in David's words.
    Again
    and again
    he says:
    “My.”
    My rock.
    My fortress.
    My deliverer.
    My God.
    My strength.
    My shield.
    My salvation.
    My stronghold.
    David was not
    describing
    a God
    he had merely
    heard about.
    He was describing
    the God
    he had learned
    to trust.
    There is
    a difference
    between knowing
    that God
    is a rock
    and being able
    to say,
    “He is
    my rock.”
    That kind
    of confidence
    is formed
    through walking
    with Him.
    Through storms.
    Through uncertainty.
    Through prayers
    answered
    in unexpected ways.
    Through discovering,
    again
    and again,
    that when everything
    else moves,
    God does not.
    The storm
    may still come.
    The ground
    around us
    may still shake.
    But our confidence
    does not rest
    upon the absence
    of trouble.
    It rests
    upon the presence
    of Someone
    who cannot
    be moved.
A new beginning finds somewhere solid to stand:
when everything around me changes, the Lord remains my rock.
Reflection: What feels uncertain in my life today, and am I trying to find security in changing circumstances or in the unchanging character of God?
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for being my rock when everything around me feels uncertain. You are my fortress, my deliverer, my strength, and my refuge. Teach me not merely to know these things about You, but to trust them personally. When circumstances shift beneath my feet, remind me that You have not moved. Help me stand securely in You today. Circumstances change. Plans collapse. People disappoint us. Things we thought were certain suddenly are not. David knew that kind of life. He had known victory and danger. Friendship and betrayal. Celebration and fear. There were times when he literally hid among the rocks to escape those who wanted to destroy him. Perhaps that is why his words carry such confidence. “The LORD is my rock.” Not: The LORD might become my rock if trouble comes. Not: The LORD was my rock when things were difficult. The LORD is my rock. Right now. David's security was not found in the stability of his circumstances. It was found in the unchanging character of his God. Then David keeps going. “My fortress.” When danger surrounds me, God is my security. “My deliverer.” When there seems to be no way out, God is my rescuer. “My shield.” When the battle comes close, God stands between me and what would destroy me. “My stronghold.” When everything around me feels uncertain, there remains somewhere I can stand. Notice something beautiful in David's words. Again and again he says: “My.” My rock. My fortress. My deliverer. My God. My strength. My shield. My salvation. My stronghold. David was not describing a God he had merely heard about. He was describing the God he had learned to trust. There is a difference between knowing that God is a rock and being able to say, “He is my rock.” That kind of confidence is formed through walking with Him. Through storms. Through uncertainty. Through prayers answered in unexpected ways. Through discovering, again and again, that when everything else moves, God does not. The storm may still come. The ground around us may still shake. But our confidence does not rest upon the absence of trouble. It rests upon the presence of Someone who cannot be moved. A new beginning finds somewhere solid to stand: when everything around me changes, the Lord remains my rock. In Jesus' name, Amen.

  • MONDAY MORNING PRAYER
    “BUT IF NOT!”
A Faith That Trusts God Regardless of the Outcome!

    Scripture: Daniel 3:17–18 (KJV)
“If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace... But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods...”

Heavenly Father, we come before You this Monday morning with hearts still overflowing from the awesome service we experienced yesterday. Thank You for Your presence, Your Word, Your power, and the reminder that You are still God—even when life doesn't turn out the way we expected.
Lord, as we begin this new week, give us the faith of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. They stood before a fiery furnace knowing You were able to deliver them, but their faith wasn't dependent upon whether You did.
Their declaration was simple but powerful:
“Our God is able... BUT IF NOT, we still won't bow!”
Father, give us that kind of faith!
When the prayer hasn't been answered yet—we will still worship You.
When the healing hasn't manifested yet—we will still trust You.
When the financial breakthrough hasn't come yet—we will still praise You.
When the family situation hasn't changed—we will still believe You.
When the door doesn't open—we will still serve You.
When we don't understand what You're doing—we will still declare that You are good!
Lord, teach us that real faith doesn't say, “I'll trust You if You do what I want.” Real faith says, “God, I know You are able, but even if You choose another way, I will not bow, I will not quit, and I will not turn away from You!”
Father, some of us may walk into a furnace this week—a difficult conversation, an unexpected problem, pressure on the job, financial concerns, family struggles, disappointment, or circumstances beyond our control.
But remind us that the furnace does not mean You have abandoned us!
Daniel 3:25 declares, “Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire... and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”
God, meet us in the fire!
If You don't keep us from it, walk through it with us.
If You don't immediately remove it, give us strength to endure it.
If You don't change the situation today, change us while we're standing in it.
And when we come out, let us come out like those three Hebrew men—not destroyed, not defeated, and not smelling like what we've been through!
Your Word says in Daniel 3:27 that “the smell of fire had not passed on them.”
So Father, don't let yesterday's fire contaminate today's attitude. Don't let past disappointments determine this week's expectations. Don't allow bitterness, fear, frustration, or discouragement to follow us into this new day.
    We declare:
THE FIRE WILL NOT HAVE THE FINAL WORD!
We may be tested, but we will not bow.
We may be pressured, but we will not compromise.
We may be surrounded by flames, but we are not alone.
We may not understand God's plan, but we trust God's heart.
Father, cover our families today. Cover our homes, marriages, children, grandchildren, loved ones, churches, pastors, leaders, workplaces, businesses, finances, and every concern we're carrying.
Go before us on the highways and byways. Protect us from dangers seen and unseen. Give us wisdom in every decision, grace in every conversation, patience in every challenge, and strength for every assignment.
And Lord, when the enemy whispers, “What if God doesn't do it?”
Give us enough faith to answer:
“BUT IF NOT—I STILL TRUST HIM!”
Because our faith isn't merely in what God can give us—our faith is in who God is!
You are still Jehovah Jireh—our Provider.
You are still Jehovah Rapha—our Healer.
You are still Jehovah Shalom—our Peace.
You are still our Deliverer, our Keeper, our Refuge, and our Strength!
So we enter this Monday declaring:
    OUR GOD IS ABLE!
But even if He doesn't do it the way we expected...
    WE WILL STILL WORSHIP!
    WE WILL STILL SERVE!
    WE WILL STILL PRAISE!
    WE WILL STILL BELIEVE!
    WE WILL STILL STAND!
Because whether God delivers us from the fire or meets us in the fire, we know one thing for certain:
WE WILL NEVER WALK THROUGH THE FIRE ALONE!
Father, let the Word we received yesterday live in us throughout this entire week.
    “BUT IF NOT!”
Our circumstances will not determine our worship.
Our disappointments will not destroy our faith.
Our trials will not make us bow.
GOD IS ABLE—AND GOD IS STILL GOD!
In the mighty, matchless, and victorious name of Jesus Christ, we pray.
    AMEN!

    MONDAY Morning Declaration...
My God is able! But if He chooses another way, I will still trust Him. I will not bow to fear, pressure, doubt, or discouragement. If I have to walk through the fire, I know I will not walk alone. God is with me, God is for me, and my faith will remain standing. BUT IF NOT—I STILL TRUST GOD!

  • Psalms 46

1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth is transformed and the mountains are toppled into the depths of the seas,
3 though their waters roar and foam and the mountains quake in the surge. Selah
4 There is a river whose streams delight the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.
5 God is within her; she will not be moved. God will help her when morning dawns.
6 Nations rage, kingdoms crumble; the earth melts when He lifts His voice.
7 The LORD of Hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah
8 Come, see the works of the LORD, who brings devastation upon the earth.

  • EL SHADDAI — GOD ALMIGHTY

There are moments when what stands before us feels too big, too difficult, or simply impossible. But what is impossible to us is never impossible to El Shaddai — God Almighty.

“I am God Almighty; walk before me and be blameless.” — Genesis 17:1

He is the God whose power has no limit.
He is our strength when we are weak.
He is our Provider when we cannot see the way.
He is our Refuge when the storm surrounds us.

Whatever you are carrying today, remember: God is greater. Greater than the mountain. Greater than the need. Greater than the fear. Greater than the battle.

You do not have to understand how He will make a way—you only need to know who He is.

    He is El Shaddai.
    The All-Powerful One.
And nothing is too hard for Him.

    Prayer:
El Shaddai, when I face what feels impossible, remind me that Your power has no limits. Be my strength, my Provider, and my Refuge. Help me trust You even when I cannot see what You are doing. I place every need, every fear, and every impossible situation into Your mighty hands. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  • Taking Time to Know God:
In the Quiet Moments: Resting in His Presence
Scripture: "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." — Matthew 11:28 (NKJV)
Reflection: Jesus doesn’t just offer rest from physical exhaustion—He offers rest for the soul. His invitation is tender and personal: “Come to Me.” In the quiet, we lay down our burdens and receive His peace. Resting in His presence is not weakness—it’s worship. It’s a declaration that we trust Him more than our own strength. When we come to Him, we find renewal, comfort, and a deep sense of being known and loved.

Application: Take a moment to breathe deeply and invite Jesus into your weariness. Let His words wash over you. Consider journaling what rest in Him looks like for you today.

Prayer: Jesus, I come to You with my burdens. I receive Your rest—not just for my body, but for my soul. Thank You for being my refuge and renewal. Amen.
