His condition became an opportunity for Jesus to reveal the power and glory of God. The disciples asked whether his blindness was caused by his own sin or the sin of his parents. But Jesus redirected their attention from blame to purpose. «“Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.” — John 9:3» Sometimes we focus so much on “Why did this happen?” that we fail to ask, “What can God do through this?” Jesus is still able to bring light into places where people see only darkness. 🔥 THREE TRUTHS FROM JOHN 9 1️⃣ JESUS CAN TURN IMPOSSIBLE SITUATIONS INTO TESTIMONIES. 🙌🏽 The man had never seen. Humanly speaking, his condition seemed permanent. But one encounter with Jesus changed his story. What people may consider hopeless is never beyond the reach of Christ. Your present situation is not necessarily the final chapter of your life. God can still write a testimony. ✝️ 2️⃣ SPIRITUAL BLINDNESS IS GREATER THAN PHYSICAL BLINDNESS. 👁️❤️ The man received physical sight, but the religious leaders who could physically see were spiritually blind. They witnessed the miracle but refused to recognize Jesus. This teaches us that it is possible to have healthy physical eyes and yet have a heart that cannot see the truth. We need more than physical sight. We need spiritual eyes to recognize Christ, understand His Word and follow His ways. «“One thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.” — John 9:25» What a testimony! The man did not have an answer for every theological argument. He simply knew what Jesus had done for him. Your testimony is evidence of God's work in your life. 🔥 3️⃣ TRUE SIGHT LEADS US TO WORSHIP JESUS. 🙏🏽 When Jesus found the man after he had been rejected, Jesus revealed Himself to him. The man responded: «“Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.” — John 9:38» This is the ultimate purpose of spiritual revelation. When God opens your eyes to who Jesus is, your response should be faith, surrender and worship. We do not seek miracles merely for the miracle. We seek Christ. We do not follow Jesus only because of what He can give us. We follow Him because He is Lord. 🌿 TODAY'S REFLECTION There are different kinds of blindness. Some people are blind to God's goodness. Some are blind to their own condition. Some are blind to the truth of God's Word. Some are blind to the opportunities God has placed before them. And some are blind to the presence of Jesus. Today, ask God: “Lord, open my eyes.” Open my eyes to see Your goodness. Open my eyes to see my weaknesses. Open my eyes to understand Your Word. Open my eyes to recognize Your direction. Open my eyes to see Jesus more clearly. Never allow familiarity, pride or unbelief to make you spiritually blind. The man in John 9 moved from blindness to sight, from rejection to acceptance, and from ignorance to worship. May that also be your testimony. I was blind, but now I see! 👁️🔥 🙏🏽 PRAYER Heavenly Father, Thank You for Jesus Christ, the Light of the world. Lord, open my spiritual eyes. Remove every blindness that prevents me from seeing You clearly and understanding Your Word. Help me to recognize Your presence even when circumstances are difficult. Where I have been confused, give me clarity. Where I have been spiritually blind, give me revelation. Where I have been discouraged, give me hope. Where I have been rejected, remind me that I am accepted in Christ. Let my life become a testimony of Your transforming power. May I never allow the opinions of people to make me deny what You have done in my life. Give me grace to believe, follow and worship Jesus faithfully. 📘 Daily Devotion — August 19 | Acts 19:20 (NKJV) 💯 God's Truth Always Prevails Acts 19 describes the powerful work of God in the city of Ephesus. As the gospel spread, many people turned away from sinful practices and publicly demonstrated their repentance by destroying items connected with their former way of life. Their transformed lives became evidence of God's power at work. Luke concludes this section with a simple but powerful statement: "The word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed." Despite opposition, spiritual darkness, and resistance, nothing could stop God's truth from accomplishing His purpose. This verse reminds us that God's Word continues to transform lives today. Cultures may change, opposition may arise, and circumstances may seem difficult, but the message of Jesus Christ remains powerful. As believers faithfully live and proclaim the gospel, God continues to accomplish His work. Reflection Questions 1. Am I allowing God's Word to shape my daily life? 2. ✟ “Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.” 1 John 3:16 In some Bible translations, John 19:2 reads "And the soldiers TWISTED together a crown of thorns and placed it on His head..." JESUS is The One King whom the Old Testament book of laws and of prophets all longed for. HE is also the same LORD that the New Testament disciples all looked back on. Today, we see a list of thousands of religious groups that were established even before we were born. Some religions led families to charity, humility, and blessings of heaven, and we should be happy about that. On the other hand, there are still existing congregations that when left unchecked, crush souls, control people, and create even more divisions while protecting and elevating a few, canceling others instead of celebrating shared prosperity together and of keeping alive our hope for eternity through our LORD JESUS CHRIST. This is devastating but not unusual. Sadly, it happens to both the humblest local sects and cathedrals of megachurches. But The Bible ends with "GRACE", not with chronic depression and hopelessness. The consistent pattern throughout the Scriptures is that it redirects all our devotion and attention to GOD. The book of Genesis starts with: "In the beginning, GOD created..." While Revelation ends with: "The grace of our LORD JESUS CHRIST be with you all. Amen." The scene where the soldiers thought of twisting together a crown of thorns displays this fallen world and our tendency to join or create yet another religion that may only give us and others headaches instead of leading us to have a vision of our Savior: THE HEAD OF THE CHURCH —JESUS. And just as JESUS bled and was painfully hurt by the soldiers' twisted crown of thorns they designed for His head, we can also expect to experience a similar sense of treatment from others against our mental headspace as we now pursue the glory of GOD through His Son, JESUS CHRIST. Our LORD has done His part. His sacrifice on the cross is finished. THE WORD OF GOD is sufficient. His Holy Spirit is given to our hearts. Reflection questions: Where is He leading you today? What is He directing you to do? When was the last time you had an honest talk with JESUS? Prayer: Our Heavenly Father, You are The GOD of sound mind. You give clarity where there is confusion and provide us with correction when needed. You feed Your children with daily bread through Your incorruptible WORD that nourishes, strengthens, and teaches us to see yet another day of grace through the cross of CHRIST. Despite the twisted crown of thorns You humbly received from fallen humanity, You still finished Your journey then with us in Your mind. Forgive us LORD GOD, for the many times we dishonored Your precious words by how we responded to Your grace through our actions and imaginations. We ask that you also give a forgiving heart to those we have hurt in this earthly journey and comfort us through the pains we still do carry. August 19 🌿 “WHO GOD IS TO ME” MY SHEPHERD 📖 Psalm 23:1 (LLV) — “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.” Perhaps no picture of God is more familiar than this one. A shepherd. And perhaps because it is so familiar, we can read the words without stopping to consider what David was actually saying. “The LORD is my shepherd.” David knew what being a shepherd required. A shepherd did not simply point the sheep toward a pasture and walk away. He stayed with them. He knew where water could be found. He searched for safe pasture. He watched for danger. He tended the injured. He searched for the wandering. And when darkness came, the shepherd was still there. So when David called the LORD his Shepherd, he was saying something deeply personal. God knows me. God leads me. God watches over me. God provides what I need. And God stays with me. Then David adds: “I shall not want.” That does not mean we will receive everything we desire. The sheep does not choose the pasture. The shepherd does. The sheep does not know where tomorrow's water will come from. The shepherd does. “I shall not want” is therefore not a promise that life will contain everything we wish for. It is a declaration of trust. My Shepherd knows what I need. There will be green pastures. There will also be dark valleys. There will be still waters. There may also be enemies. David will tell us all of that before the psalm is finished. But through every changing scene, one thing does not change. The Shepherd. Perhaps that is why David begins there. Before the pasture. Before the water. Before the valley. Before the table. Before the overflowing cup. The LORD is my shepherd. Everything else in Psalm 23 rests upon that truth. A new beginning does not need to know everything about the road ahead: I only need to know that my Shepherd knows the way. Reflection: Am I trusting my Shepherd to know what I truly need, even when His path or His provision looks different from what I expected? Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for being my Shepherd. Thank You for knowing me personally, providing for me faithfully, watching over me carefully, and never abandoning me along the way. When I cannot see what lies ahead, help me trust that You can. Teach me to follow Your leading and rest in the assurance that my Shepherd knows exactly what I need. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Some people criticized her, but Jesus valued her sacrifice and declared that her act of devotion would be remembered wherever the Gospel was preached. Her action teaches us that genuine love for Christ is never wasted. What may appear insignificant to people can be precious in the sight of God. She did not perform the act to become famous. She simply loved Jesus and gave Him what was valuable to her. Yet her devotion became part of the Gospel story. Today, we are reminded that our lives should leave behind a legacy of faith, love, service, generosity, compassion, and devotion to Christ. 🔊*Prophetic Declaration:* Today, I declare that my life shall bring glory to God and become a blessing to generations after me. The things I do for Christ shall never be wasted. I declare that I will not live merely for temporary recognition or human applause. My greatest desire shall be to please God and faithfully fulfill the purpose for which He created me. Today, I receive grace to give my best to the Lord—my time, talents, resources, strength, knowledge, opportunities, and abilities. I shall not hold back what God has given me when He calls me to use it for His Kingdom. I declare that my family, ministry, work, business, studies, and relationships shall become platforms through which God's love and goodness are demonstrated. I proclaim that the Lord shall make my life fruitful and impactful. Through my words, actions, prayers, service, and generosity, lives shall be touched and people shall be encouraged to draw closer to Jesus Christ. Today, I reject selfishness, pride, bitterness, and the desire for unnecessary human approval. I choose to serve with a sincere heart, knowing that God sees every sacrifice made in love. Wednesday, 19th August, 2026 TITLE: "MORE THAN A CONQUEROR THROUGH CHRIST" ANCHOR SCRIPTURE(S) Romans 8:37 (KJV) "Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us." 1 Corinthians 15:57 (KJV) "But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." QUOTE TO REFLECT ON "Victory is not the absence of battles; it is overcoming them through Christ." DAY'S REFLECTION Every believer will encounter battles—difficult circumstances, disappointments, opposition, temptations, and moments when life seems overwhelming. Yet Scripture gives us a powerful assurance: we are more than conquerors through Christ. Romans 8:37 says, "In all these things we are more than conquerors." The phrase "more than conquerors" points to complete and overwhelming victory. Paul was not saying that believers would never face difficulties. In fact, the surrounding passage speaks of tribulation, distress, persecution, and hardship. The message is that none of these things has the final authority over a believer who is anchored in Christ. Our victory comes "through him that loved us." We do not overcome merely through our own determination, intelligence, wealth, or physical strength. Christ's love, grace, and power are the foundation of our victory. Paul gives another reason for thanksgiving in 1 Corinthians 15:57: "God...giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." Notice that victory is described as a gift. We receive it through Christ. This reminds us that our confidence should not be in ourselves but in the finished work and continuing power of Jesus. Being victorious does not mean that every battle will end exactly as we expect. Sometimes God changes the situation; sometimes He changes us while we walk through it. But through Christ, we can emerge stronger in faith, deeper in character, and more confident in God's faithfulness. Life may present you with situations that seem bigger than your ability. You may feel surrounded by problems or uncertain about tomorrow. Do not allow the size of the battle to make you forget the greatness of our God. Face today's challenges with faith. Pray instead of panicking. Stand on God's Word instead of surrendering to fear. Give thanks even before you see the outcome, because your confidence is in Christ. You are not fighting for victory alone—you are standing in the victory Christ has already made available to you. TODAY'S KINGDOM INSIGHTS: SERMON TOPIC: WHEN TRUTH MEETS GRACE. Main Text: John 1:14, 17 «“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us... full of grace and truth.” — John 1:14» «“For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.” — John 1:17» TWO SIDES OF THE CROSS. There are two dangerous extremes in Christianity. One says, “Tell people the truth, no matter how you hurt them.” The other says, “Just show them love; don't confront anything.” But Jesus did something greater. Jesus was full of grace AND truth. Truth without grace can become harshness. Grace without truth can become compromise. Truth tells us what is wrong. Grace shows us that we can be made right. Truth exposes the wound; grace brings healing to the wound. Truth says, “You have sinned.” Grace says, “There is forgiveness.” Truth says, “You must change.” Grace says, “God will help you change.” Truth reveals our condition. Grace reveals God's compassion. That is what happens when truth meets grace. 1. TRUTH REVEALS WHAT GRACE COMES TO HEAL John 8:32 — “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Truth is not always comfortable, but it is necessary. A doctor cannot treat a sickness that the patient refuses to acknowledge. In the same way, we cannot experience spiritual transformation while continually denying our spiritual condition. The Word of God tells us: - If we are living in sin, truth calls it sin. - If we are walking in bitterness, truth exposes it. - If pride is controlling us, truth confronts it. - If unforgiveness has taken root, truth reveals it. But God does not reveal our condition to destroy us. He reveals it so that His grace can transform us. Spiritual Insight Conviction is not rejection. When the Holy Spirit shows you something that needs to change, He is not saying, “I have abandoned you.” He is saying, “I love you too much to leave you like this.” 2. GRACE DOES NOT CANCEL TRUTH. One of the greatest misunderstandings about grace is that grace means God does not care about our behavior. That is not biblical. Romans 6:1–2 asks: «“Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid.”» Grace does not give us permission to remain in sin. Grace gives us power to overcome sin. A person who truly encounters grace does not say: «“Because God forgives me, I can do whatever I want.”» Instead, he says: «“Because God has forgiven me, I want to live differently.”» Grace does not lower God's standard. Grace gives us the strength to pursue God's standard. 3. TRUTH WITHOUT LOVE CAN PUSH PEOPLE AWAY Ephesians 4:15 teaches us to speak the truth in love. Notice that Scripture does not say: “Speak truth anyhow.” It says: “Speak the truth in love.” There are people who are correct in what they say but wrong in how they say it. You can win an argument and lose a soul. You can prove someone wrong and still fail to show them Christ. Jesus never compromised truth, but He also never treated broken people as worthless. Biblical Example: The Woman Caught in Adultery Read John 8:1–11. The religious leaders brought a woman caught in adultery before Jesus. They wanted judgment. Jesus gave her something greater than condemnation—an opportunity for transformation. He did not say: «“What you did doesn't matter.”» Neither did He say: «“You are hopeless.”» Jesus told her: “Go, and sin no more.” That is truth and grace working together. Grace did not approve her sin. Grace gave her a future beyond her sin. 4. JESUS IS THE PERFECT MEETING POINT OF TRUTH AND GRACE John 1:14 says Jesus was: «“full of grace and truth.”» Not half grace and half truth. Full of grace. Full of truth. Jesus could look at Zacchaeus and say, “Come down.” Then He could enter his house and bring salvation. Jesus could confront Peter's failure and still restore Peter to ministry. Jesus could confront Thomas's doubt and still invite him closer. Jesus could confront Saul's persecution of the Church and transform him into Paul, a powerful apostle. This is the Gospel: God does not ignore our brokenness, but neither does He abandon us because of it. At the cross, truth and grace met. Truth declared: Sin must be judged. Grace declared: God Himself will provide the sacrifice. And Jesus became that sacrifice. 5. WE MUST LEARN TO LIVE WITH BOTH TRUTH AND GRACE As Christians, we must become people who carry both. In our homes Tell your children the truth, but correct them with love. In the church Teach holiness, but never make struggling people feel that restoration is impossible. In relationships Be honest, but do not use honesty as an excuse for cruelty. On social media Stand for biblical truth, but do not become known for insulting people. In evangelism Tell people about sin, judgment, repentance and holiness—but also tell them about the mercy, forgiveness and salvation found in Jesus Christ. The goal is not merely to expose people. The goal is to lead people to Christ. REAL-LIFE PICTURE: THE MIRROR AND THE SOAP Imagine someone standing before a mirror with a dirty face. The mirror shows the dirt. But the mirror cannot wash the face. That is what truth does. Truth shows us who we are and where we have fallen. But then grace comes like water and soap. Grace says: “You don't have to remain this way.” The mirror is necessary. The washing is necessary. Truth and grace belong together. DEEP SPIRITUAL INSIGHTS 1. Truth without grace produces condemnation. People may know they are wrong but believe they are beyond redemption. 2. Grace without truth produces deception. People may feel comfortable while continuing in destructive patterns. 3. Truth brings conviction; grace brings restoration. The Holy Spirit exposes sin so that Christ can restore the sinner. 4. Grace is not God's approval of our past. Grace is God's invitation into a transformed future. 5. Mature Christianity knows how to confront without destroying. Spiritual maturity is not merely knowing Scripture. It is knowing how to apply Scripture with the character of Christ. PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS This week: 1. Allow God's truth to examine you. Read Psalm 139:23–24 and ask God to reveal areas that need correction. 2. Stop using grace as an excuse. Identify one habit or attitude that God is calling you to surrender. 3. Correct someone with love. If confrontation is necessary, pray first. Speak truth without humiliation. 4. Forgive someone who has failed you. Remember the grace you have received from God. 5. Share the Gospel with someone. Tell them both the truth about sin and the good news of salvation through Christ. 6. Examine your social media behavior. Before posting or commenting, ask: “Am I representing Christ, or am I merely trying to win an argument?” QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION 1. Do I usually emphasize truth while neglecting grace? 2. Do I use grace as an excuse to tolerate sin? 3. Can people see the character of Christ in the way I correct them? 4. Is there an area of my life where God is asking me to change? 5. Have I received God's grace personally, or am I only talking about it? 6. Who needs truth from me today? 7. Who needs grace from me today? POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS 1. Father, give me the courage to accept Your truth, even when it confronts me. 2. Lord Jesus, deliver me from every attitude that uses grace as an excuse for sin. 3. Holy Spirit, teach me to speak the truth in love. 4. Father, heal every area of my life that Your truth has exposed. 5. Lord, give me grace to forgive those who have hurt me. 6. Father, remove pride, bitterness, hypocrisy and self-righteousness from my heart. 7. Lord Jesus, make my life a testimony of both holiness and compassion. 8. Let everyone who encounters me encounter something of the character of Christ. 9. Father, give me wisdom to know when to confront, when to correct, when to forgive and when to remain silent. 10. Lord, let Your truth set me free and let Your grace transform me completely. COME TO JESUS Perhaps truth has exposed something in your life today. Do not run from it. Run to Jesus. Maybe you have failed. Grace is still available. Maybe you have wandered away. Grace is calling you home. Maybe you have been hiding behind religious activity while your heart is far from God. Truth is calling you back. Maybe you have been using grace to justify what God has asked you to surrender. Truth is calling you to repentance. And perhaps you have been condemning yourself because of your past. Grace is telling you that your story is not over. At Calvary, truth and grace met. Your sin was serious enough to require the cross. But God's love was great enough to provide the cross. So today, do not choose between truth and grace. Receive both. Let truth correct you. Let grace restore you. Let truth make you honest. Let grace make you humble. Let truth lead you to repentance. Let grace lead you into restoration. And above everything else— LET JESUS CHRIST BE THE PLACE WHERE TRUTH AND GRACE MEET IN YOUR LIFE. FINAL DECLARATION “I will not run from God's truth, and I will not abuse God's grace. Words Reveal the Heart Scripture Judges 12:6 (NKJV) Then they said to him Say now Shibboleth And he said Sibboleth for he could not pronounce it right Then they would take him and kill him at the fords of the Jordan There fell at that time forty two thousand Ephraimites Guarding Against Division and Pride Judges chapter 12 records a tragic conflict not between Israel and foreign enemies but within Israel itself. After Jephthah’s victory the tribe of Ephraim confronts him in anger. Pride and accusation lead to civil strife. What begins as disagreement escalates into deadly division. Verse 6 shows how something as small as pronunciation became a test of identity and ultimately a cause of death. The word Shibboleth became a dividing line that exposed differences and fueled hostility. Pride and rivalry turned brothers into enemies. This chapter reminds us that internal division can be more destructive than external opposition. The enemy was no longer outside Israel but within. Pride wounded relationships and caused unnecessary loss. For believers today Judges 12 is a warning about the power of words and attitudes. Pride and rivalry can damage unity in families churches and communities. God calls His people to humility reconciliation and peace. Division often begins with small offenses that grow when left unchecked. Reflection Questions 1. Have I allowed pride or offense to create division in my relationships 2. Do my words build unity or contribute to conflict 3. How can I pursue peace when disagreement arises Prayer Lord God guard my heart from pride and division. Help me to speak words that build unity and reflect Your love. Teach me to pursue peace and humility rather than rivalry and accusation. In Jesus name Amen.
