Christ calls you to something far greater not behavior modification, but inner transformation.* A renewed mind begins with filling your heart with God’s Word, surrendering your thoughts to Christ, and allowing the Holy Spirit to replace fear with faith, lies with truth, and selfishness with love. You cannot live a transformed life with an untransformed mind.Change begins on the inside before it is seen on the outside. Today’s Challenge Ask yourself: *“Who has been shaping my thinking lately the world, my emotions, or the Word of God?”* Choose one thought today that does not agree with God’s truth, reject it, and replace it with a promise from Scripture. Daily Devotion: Romans 12:2 “Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God — what is good and is pleasing to him and is perfect.” GNB When you accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour you become a new person. Through Him you receive forgiveness of sins and a renewal of spirit. Everything changes, including your actions, thoughts, hopes and dreams; you’ve been accepted as a child of God. This means that you should no longer dwell on things of this world and focus on that which can uplift and enrich your soul, preparing you for an eternity in the holy presence of the Lord. As mere humans, we often fail at this. We constantly rethink the past, we get anxious because we have not done or said things that we ought to have OR we worry about that which have transpired in our lives. We worry about our mistakes and often we try, by ourselves, to correct it only to make a bigger mess of things. We also concern ourselves with the future and make up tall tales of disastrous events. While we are so worried about everything, the present passes us by and we forget that we’ve already been saved, that we have Someone who will look after us no matter what. We should therefore work harder at trying to change our attitude and fill our souls with hope and faith. Look what Paul said: Ephesians 4:22-24: “So get rid of your old self, which made you live as you used to – the old self that was being destroyed by its deceitful desires. Your hearts and minds must be made completely new, and you must put on a new self, which is created in God’s likeness and reveals itself in the true life that is upright and holy.” GNB Philippians 3:13: “…the one thing I do, however, is to forget what is behind me and do my best to reach what is ahead.” GNB Rest assured, though, that because you’ve been saved, God will help you, forgive you for your weaknesses and uplift you in your struggle. He promised us that, if we have be washed in the blood of the Lamb, we will become His family and He will never forsake us.  Daily Devotion: Romans 12:17-18 "Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone." We should purposefully live in peace with everyone. Do not gossip, do not hold grudges, be forgiving for we are all just human. Try to leave people feeling more blessed than when you met them. Avoid jealousy and envy, God gave each of us different gifts. Instead of wanting to be like others or craving what others have, dedicate yourself to what God wants from you. Fulfill His Word in everything you say and do. How do you react to people you resent? Do you hide your personal feelings so that your Godly purpose can step forward or are you rude and dismissive of them? THE POWER OF A RENEWED MIND When God Changes Your Thinking… He Changes Your Life You can sit in church, hear truth, and still live defeated—because transformation does not begin in your surroundings… it begins in your mind. Scripture does not say, “Be improved by attending.” It says: “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…” — Romans 12:2 (NIV) The word transformed is the Greek metamorphoō—the same root used for metamorphosis. This is not behavior modification. This is total internal reformation. A RENEWED MIND IS THE GATEWAY TO GOD’S WILL Many believers ask: “What is God’s will for my life?” But the verse already answers it. You don’t discover God’s will by chasing it— You discern it when your mind is renewed. “…Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.” Until your thinking changes, even God’s will can look confusing, inconvenient, or even undesirable. A renewed mind aligns your perception with heaven. You begin to see correctly, and when you see correctly—you live correctly. YOUR LIFE FOLLOWS YOUR THOUGHT LIFE “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he…” — Proverbs 23:7 (NKJV) Your life is not shaped by what you occasionally believe— It is shaped by what you consistently think. If your mind is filled with fear, you will live cautiously—even if God is calling you boldly. If your mind is filled with lies, you will resist truth—even when it is preached clearly. This is why strongholds exist—not in your environment, but in your mind. “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal… pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.” — 2 Corinthians 10:4–5 (NKJV) A stronghold is not just a demon—it is a pattern of thinking fortified against truth. SALVATION CHANGES YOUR SPIRIT—BUT RENEWAL CHANGES YOUR LIFE When you are born again, your spirit is made new instantly. “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation…” — 2 Corinthians 5:17 But your mind? It must be trained, washed, and renewed daily. This is why many believers are saved—but still think like the world. They have a new identity—but an old mindset. And until the mind is renewed, the life will not reflect the new nature. THE WORD OF GOD IS THE TOOL OF RENEWAL “Sanctify them by the truth; Your word is truth.” — John 17:17 Renewal does not come from positive thinking—it comes from biblical thinking. The Word of God does not just inform you—it reprograms you. Every time you meditate on Scripture, you are: Replacing lies with truth Rewiring your responses Aligning your thoughts with God’s thoughts “You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You…” — Isaiah 26:3 Peace is not a feeling you chase. It is the result of a mind fixed on God. A RENEWED MIND PRODUCES A TRANSFORMED LIFE When your mind is renewed: Fear loses its grip Temptation loses its power Confusion gives way to clarity Weakness gives way to conviction You stop reacting like your past… And start responding like your new nature. Whatever you're going through or facing today. No matter how impossible your situation may appear. Focus on these facts: God is still on the throne, Jesus is still Lord, and the Holy Spirit (everything that God is) still dwells inside of you. You must change your mindset (Romans12:2) to stand on what you believe (faith), and in whom you believe, not by what you see before you. If you are walking in obedience to God and following His Word (Jesus is the living Word of God), heeding the voice of the Holy Spirit... nothing can overcome or defeat you! Think about Job and all he suffered, and lost in his life; he sill praised God. Even when those around him (including his wife), advised him to curse God and die; he chose to praise God in the midst of his greatest suffering, and in the end everything was restored. Meditate on the following words that Job spoke, and let them become yours in your situation: “Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him. Even so, I will defend my own ways before Him.” ‭‭ Job‬ ‭13‬:‭15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ There are only two paths to choose when you are hurting, struggling or suffering. The path that leads to life, where God directs your steps, leading to victory or the path of self, and the world's solutions that leads to destruction, delusion and defeat. The Word tells is in John 8:31-32: “Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall MAKE YOU FREE.”” ‭‭ No matter the storm that rages in your life today, as impossible as it may seem or that that appears to be no answer; choose to look to God. Go to Him in prayer and pour out your heart, then trust Him to make all things right, and you will see His hand of protection and provision burst forth in your life.
