• Dear Father,

    Edmund Gettier, a philosopher, proposed an addition to the concept of epistemology-- the study of knowledge, when he argued that a person can believe something without knowing it, but no one can claim to know something without believing it. How true is this of humanity? There is also a branch of epistemology called empiricism, which supports the idea that the most reliable source of human knowledge is experience or sensory perceptions. My problem with this view is that it limits the truth of humanity’s existence to what is attainable in his lifetime.

    I was reminded of Thomas, who, when the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!” responded, “Unless I see the nail marks in His hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.” The issue, however, lies not in the limitations that exist in obtaining the experience needed for an unwavering belief in You, but in how willing we are to pay the price to know what we have always believed.

    It is true that many of us are like Thomas, with certain doubts and confusions, believing in Jesus but not all that He purports to represent. Perhaps this is what Edmund communicates: that there is a risk in believing when sufficient knowledge is lacking. Isn’t this one of the reasons we struggle with our faith? Isn’t this the reason we doubt-- asking questions without necessarily seeking answers?

    Today, I took it upon myself to reflect on how much I have put into knowing all that I believe about You.

  • TODAY'S KINGDOM INSIGHTS:

    SERMON TOPIC:

    WHEN TRUTH MEETS GRACE.

    Main Text:
    John 1:14, 17

    «“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us... full of grace and truth.” — John 1:14»

    «“For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.” — John 1:17»

    TWO SIDES OF THE CROSS.

    There are two dangerous extremes in Christianity.
    One says, “Tell people the truth, no matter how you hurt them.”
    The other says, “Just show them love; don't confront anything.”
    But Jesus did something greater.
    Jesus was full of grace AND truth.
    Truth without grace can become harshness.
    Grace without truth can become compromise.
    Truth tells us what is wrong. Grace shows us that we can be made right.
    Truth exposes the wound; grace brings healing to the wound.
    Truth says, “You have sinned.”
    Grace says, “There is forgiveness.”
    Truth says, “You must change.”
    Grace says, “God will help you change.”
    Truth reveals our condition. Grace reveals God's compassion.
    That is what happens when truth meets grace.
    1. TRUTH REVEALS WHAT GRACE COMES TO HEAL
    John 8:32 — “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
    Truth is not always comfortable, but it is necessary.
    A doctor cannot treat a sickness that the patient refuses to acknowledge.
    In the same way, we cannot experience spiritual transformation while continually denying our spiritual condition.

    The Word of God tells us:

    - If we are living in sin, truth calls it sin.
    - If we are walking in bitterness, truth exposes it.
    - If pride is controlling us, truth confronts it.
    - If unforgiveness has taken root, truth reveals it.
    But God does not reveal our condition to destroy us.
    He reveals it so that His grace can transform us.
    Spiritual Insight
    Conviction is not rejection.
    When the Holy Spirit shows you something that needs to change, He is not saying, “I have abandoned you.”
    He is saying, “I love you too much to leave you like this.”
    2. GRACE DOES NOT CANCEL
    TRUTH.
    One of the greatest misunderstandings about grace is that grace means God does not care about our behavior.
    That is not biblical.
    Romans 6:1–2 asks:
    «“Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid.”»
    Grace does not give us permission to remain in sin.
    Grace gives us power to overcome sin.
    A person who truly encounters grace does not say:
    «“Because God forgives me, I can do whatever I want.”»
    Instead, he says:
    «“Because God has forgiven me, I want to live differently.”»
    Grace does not lower God's standard.
    Grace gives us the strength to pursue God's standard.
    3. TRUTH WITHOUT LOVE CAN PUSH PEOPLE AWAY
    Ephesians 4:15 teaches us to speak the truth in love.
    Notice that Scripture does not say:
    “Speak truth anyhow.”
    It says:
    “Speak the truth in love.”
    There are people who are correct in what they say but wrong in how they say it.
    You can win an argument and lose a soul.
    You can prove someone wrong and still fail to show them Christ.
    Jesus never compromised truth, but He also never treated broken people as worthless.

    Biblical Example:

    The Woman Caught in Adultery

    Read John 8:1–11.
    The religious leaders brought a woman caught in adultery before Jesus.
    They wanted judgment.
    Jesus gave her something greater than condemnation—an opportunity for transformation.
    He did not say:
    «“What you did doesn't matter.”»
    Neither did He say:
    «“You are hopeless.”»
    Jesus told her:
    “Go, and sin no more.”
    That is truth and grace working together.
    Grace did not approve her sin. Grace gave her a future beyond her sin.
    4. JESUS IS THE PERFECT MEETING POINT OF TRUTH AND GRACE
    John 1:14 says Jesus was:
    «“full of grace and truth.”»
    Not half grace and half truth.
    Full of grace. Full of truth.
    Jesus could look at Zacchaeus and say, “Come down.”
    Then He could enter his house and bring salvation.
    Jesus could confront Peter's failure and still restore Peter to ministry.
    Jesus could confront Thomas's doubt and still invite him closer.
    Jesus could confront Saul's persecution of the Church and transform him into Paul, a powerful apostle.
    This is the Gospel:
    God does not ignore our brokenness, but neither does He abandon us because of it.
    At the cross, truth and grace met.
    Truth declared:
    Sin must be judged.
    Grace declared:
    God Himself will provide the sacrifice.
    And Jesus became that sacrifice.
    5. WE MUST LEARN TO LIVE WITH BOTH TRUTH AND GRACE
    As Christians, we must become people who carry both.
    In our homes
    Tell your children the truth, but correct them with love.
    In the church
    Teach holiness, but never make struggling people feel that restoration is impossible.
    In relationships
    Be honest, but do not use honesty as an excuse for cruelty.
    On social media
    Stand for biblical truth, but do not become known for insulting people.
    In evangelism
    Tell people about sin, judgment, repentance and holiness—but also tell them about the mercy, forgiveness and salvation found in Jesus Christ.
    The goal is not merely to expose people.
    The goal is to lead people to Christ.

    REAL-LIFE PICTURE:

    THE MIRROR AND THE SOAP

    Imagine someone standing before a mirror with a dirty face.
    The mirror shows the dirt.
    But the mirror cannot wash the face.
    That is what truth does.
    Truth shows us who we are and where we have fallen.
    But then grace comes like water and soap.
    Grace says:
    “You don't have to remain this way.”
    The mirror is necessary.
    The washing is necessary.
    Truth and grace belong together.

    DEEP SPIRITUAL INSIGHTS

    1. Truth without grace produces condemnation.
    People may know they are wrong but believe they are beyond redemption.
    2. Grace without truth produces deception.
    People may feel comfortable while continuing in destructive patterns.
    3. Truth brings conviction; grace brings restoration.
    The Holy Spirit exposes sin so that Christ can restore the sinner.
    4. Grace is not God's approval of our past.
    Grace is God's invitation into a transformed future.
    5. Mature Christianity knows how to confront without destroying.
    Spiritual maturity is not merely knowing Scripture.
    It is knowing how to apply Scripture with the character of Christ.

    PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS

    This week:

    1. Allow God's truth to examine you.
    Read Psalm 139:23–24 and ask God to reveal areas that need correction.
    2. Stop using grace as an excuse.
    Identify one habit or attitude that God is calling you to surrender.
    3. Correct someone with love.
    If confrontation is necessary, pray first. Speak truth without humiliation.
    4. Forgive someone who has failed you.
    Remember the grace you have received from God.
    5. Share the Gospel with someone.
    Tell them both the truth about sin and the good news of salvation through Christ.
    6. Examine your social media behavior.
    Before posting or commenting, ask:
    “Am I representing Christ, or am I merely trying to win an argument?”

    QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION

    1. Do I usually emphasize truth while neglecting grace?
    2. Do I use grace as an excuse to tolerate sin?
    3. Can people see the character of Christ in the way I correct them?
    4. Is there an area of my life where God is asking me to change?
    5. Have I received God's grace personally, or am I only talking about it?
    6. Who needs truth from me today?
    7. Who needs grace from me today?

    POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS

    1.
    Father, give me the courage to accept Your truth, even when it confronts me.
    2.
    Lord Jesus, deliver me from every attitude that uses grace as an excuse for sin.
    3.
    Holy Spirit, teach me to speak the truth in love.
    4.
    Father, heal every area of my life that Your truth has exposed.
    5.
    Lord, give me grace to forgive those who have hurt me.
    6.
    Father, remove pride, bitterness, hypocrisy and self-righteousness from my heart.
    7.
    Lord Jesus, make my life a testimony of both holiness and compassion.
    8.
    Let everyone who encounters me encounter something of the character of Christ.
    9.
    Father, give me wisdom to know when to confront, when to correct, when to forgive and when to remain silent.
    10.
    Lord, let Your truth set me free and let Your grace transform me completely.

    COME TO JESUS

    Perhaps truth has exposed something in your life today.
    Do not run from it.
    Run to Jesus.
    Maybe you have failed.
    Grace is still available.
    Maybe you have wandered away.
    Grace is calling you home.
    Maybe you have been hiding behind religious activity while your heart is far from God.
    Truth is calling you back.
    Maybe you have been using grace to justify what God has asked you to surrender.
    Truth is calling you to repentance.
    And perhaps you have been condemning yourself because of your past.
    Grace is telling you that your story is not over.
    At Calvary, truth and grace met.
    Your sin was serious enough to require the cross.
    But God's love was great enough to provide the cross.
    So today, do not choose between truth and grace.
    Receive both.
    Let truth correct you.
    Let grace restore you.
    Let truth make you honest.
    Let grace make you humble.
    Let truth lead you to repentance.
    Let grace lead you into restoration.
    And above everything else—

    LET JESUS CHRIST BE THE PLACE WHERE TRUTH AND GRACE MEET IN YOUR LIFE.

    FINAL DECLARATION

    “I will not run from God's truth, and I will not abuse God's grace. I will walk in truth, live by grace, speak the truth in love, and become more like Jesus every day. Amen!”

  • Don Francisco’s “He’s Alive”
    A Story of Fear, Forgiveness, and Resurrection
    There is something almost haunting about the beginning of Don Francisco’s “He’s Alive.”
    It doesn’t begin with celebration. It begins in the dark. Peter is hiding.
    The doors are shut. The windows are fastened. Outside is the world that has just killed Jesus, and inside is a frightened group of men who don’t know what will happen next. Peter cannot sleep.
    Every sound must seem dangerous. Every shadow beyond the door could mean soldiers. But Peter is carrying something heavier than fear.
    He is carrying shame.
    Only days before, he had stood beside Jesus and promised that he would never leave Him. Yet when the pressure came, Peter denied knowing Him.
    Not once. Three times.
    And now Jesus is dead.
    Peter has to live with the knowledge that the last thing he did while Jesus was alive was fail Him.
    Then, before sunrise, Mary comes. She brings news that sounds impossible.
    The stone has been moved.
    The tomb is empty.
    Jesus’ body is gone.
    Peter and John run.
    They reach the tomb and find the evidence for themselves, the stone rolled away, the burial cloths lying there, but no Jesus. John begins to understand. Peter doesn’t.
    And that is one of the most beautiful things about Francisco’s song.
    Peter doesn’t instantly become a man of triumphant faith.
    He is confused.
    He has seen Jesus die.
    He knows what death looks like. An empty tomb is astonishing, but Peter’s heart is still trying to catch up with what his eyes have seen.
    So he returns. And there, alone with his thoughts, the resurrection becomes something far more frightening.
    Because if Jesus really is alive…
    Peter is going to have to face Him. And what would Jesus say?
    Would He remind Peter of the promises he had made?
    Would He ask why Peter had denied Him?
    Would He turn away?
    Would He condemn him?
    Peter has every reason to believe that he deserves it.
    And then, in the beautiful dramatic imagination of Francisco’s song, something happens that Peter could never have expected. Jesus appears.
    Alive. Not as a memory.
    Not as a ghost. Not as someone Peter wishes he could see.
    Jesus is standing there.
    And Peter looks at Him.
    The man Peter thought he had lost forever is alive.
    But there is something even more astonishing.
    Jesus isn’t there to punish him.
    He doesn’t come with anger.
    He doesn’t come with a list of Peter’s failures.
    He comes with love.
    Peter falls before Him, overwhelmed by the impossible reality of it all.
    The Savior he denied is standing before him.
    And instead of condemnation, Peter finds forgiveness.
    Instead of judgment, he finds mercy.
    Instead of the end of his story, he discovers that God has written another chapter.
    And suddenly Peter understands.
    The empty tomb wasn’t simply proof that Jesus had conquered death.
    It was proof that Peter’s failure wasn’t the end either.
    Jesus is alive.
    And because He is alive, Peter can be forgiven. Peter can get up. Peter can breathe again.
    Peter can live again.
    And that is what makes Don Francisco’s “He’s Alive” so much more than an Easter song. It is a song about what the resurrection feels like to someone who knows they have failed. It is about the moment when shame tells you that you are finished…
    and Jesus tells you that you are not.
    Francisco originally tried to tell the resurrection story through Thomas, but the song came together when he began telling it through Peter. Francisco has explained that Peter’s guilt and shame were something he personally understood.
    That choice changed everything. Because Peter wasn’t a perfect disciple.
    He was impulsive. He was courageous one moment and frightened the next.
    He promised more than he could deliver. He failed Jesus at the very moment he thought he would be strongest.
    And yet Jesus came back for him. That’s the heart of “He’s Alive.” Not simply that the tomb was empty. Not simply that death had been defeated.
    But that the same Jesus Peter believed he had betrayed beyond repair was standing before him with forgiveness.
    The song takes the greatest event in Christianity and tells it through the eyes of a broken man. And perhaps that’s why it has endured. Because somewhere inside Peter, many of us recognize ourselves.
    We know what it is to make promises we couldn’t keep.
    We know what it is to look backward and wish we could change something.
    We know what guilt feels like.
    We know what it is to wonder whether we have gone too far.
    And then comes the message of the resurrection:
    You are not finished.
    The stone was rolled away.
    The grave was empty.
    Jesus was alive.
    And Peter, the man who thought he had failed beyond forgiveness was given another chance. That is why the final declaration carries so much weight. He’s alive.
    Not merely alive in history.
    Not merely alive in doctrine.
    But alive in such a way that Peter’s story can continue.
    And perhaps that is the quiet miracle at the center of Don Francisco’s song…
    Jesus didn’t erase Peter’s past.
    He redeemed it.
    And the man who once stood outside a fire denying that he knew Jesus could now stand in the light knowing that Jesus still knew him.
    He was alive.
    Peter was forgiven.
    And the story wasn’t over.

    Don Francisco’s “He’s Alive” A Story of Fear, Forgiveness, and Resurrection There is something almost haunting about the beginning of Don Francisco’s “He’s Alive.” It doesn’t begin with celebration. Because if Jesus really is alive… Peter is going to have to face Him. • BEHIND JESUS

    TEXT: Acts 18:28

    SUPPORTING TEXTS: John 1:1–14; John 4:8, 24; Philippians 3:3

    OBJECTIVES

    At the end of this teaching, participants should be able to:

    1. Understand that God is Spirit and that He has revealed Himself to humanity through Jesus Christ.

    2. Recognize the humanity and divinity of Jesus Christ, and understand why God manifested Himself in the flesh.

    3. Explain why Jesus is the only way to salvation and why human religion, morality, or religious tradition cannot save man.

    4. Defend the truth that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and God manifested in the flesh, using Scripture.

    INTRODUCTION

    Acts 18:28 (KJV):

    “For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publickly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ.”

    The subject of Jesus Christ goes beyond what can be seen physically. To understand Jesus, we must look behind Jesus—behind His humanity, His earthly appearance, His birth, His ministry, His death and resurrection—to discover who He truly is.

    The Bible teaches that God is Spirit:

    John 4:24 (KJV):

    “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”

    God is also love:

    1 John 4:8:

    “He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.”

    Love cannot be seen with the physical eyes, and the Spirit cannot be seen with the physical eyes. Yet both are real.

    QUESTION

    Have you ever physically seen love? Have you ever physically seen a spirit?

    Although you cannot see love itself, you can see the manifestation of love through actions. Likewise, God, who is Spirit, made Himself known to humanity through Jesus Christ.

    John 1:14 (KJV):

    “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us…”

    Jesus is therefore the visible manifestation of the invisible God.

    Colossians 1:15:

    “Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature.”

    1. GOD MANIFESTED HIMSELF THROUGH MAN

    God revealed Himself through the human life of Jesus Christ so that humanity could know, believe, and receive Him.

    John 1:14:

    “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us…”

    Jesus did not merely come to teach people about God. He came as God manifested in the flesh.

    1 Timothy 3:16:

    “God was manifest in the flesh…”

    Jesus showed mankind what God is like through His character, words, works, compassion, holiness, power and love.

    2. THE BREATH OF MAN IS LIMITED

    Man's physical life is temporary. The breath of man is dependent upon God.

    Isaiah 2:22:

    “Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?”

    James 4:14:

    “For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.”

    Man's life is limited, but God's life is eternal.

    3. THE LIFE OF GOD IS ETERNAL

    God does not depend upon another source for His existence. He is the eternal God.

    John 1:4:

    “In him was life; and the life was the light of men.”

    John 11:25:

    “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life…”

    1 John 5:11:

    “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.”

    The eternal life of God is revealed to humanity through Jesus Christ.

    4. THE CHARACTER OF MAN IS CORRUPTED BY SIN

    Humanity, because of sin, cannot become its own saviour.

    Jeremiah 17:9:

    “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked…”

    Romans 3:23:

    “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”

    Man therefore needs salvation from outside himself.

    5. THE CHARACTER OF GOD IS GOOD

    God is holy, righteous, loving and good.

    Psalm 100:5:

    “For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.”

    Psalm 145:9:

    “The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.”

    Jesus demonstrated the goodness and character of God among humanity.

    Acts 10:38:

    “…who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”

    6. MAN CANNOT SAVE HIMSELF — JESUS SAVES

    Religion cannot save man. Human wisdom cannot save man. Good works, by themselves, cannot save man.

    Ephesians 2:8–9:

    “For by grace are ye saved through faith… Not of works…”

    Salvation is found in Jesus Christ.

    Acts 4:12:

    “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

    The God whom humanity could not physically see came near to humanity in Jesus Christ—and Jesus saves.

    THE REASON GOD MANIFESTED HIMSELF IN THE FLESH

    1. SO THAT WE COULD SEE HIM

    God became visible through Jesus Christ.

    John 14:9:

    “He that hath seen me hath seen the Father…”

    Jesus is the revelation of the invisible God.

    Colossians 2:9:

    “For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”

    2. SO THAT WE COULD TOUCH HIM AND KNOW HIM

    John testified that Jesus was physically real.

    1 John 1:1:

    “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes… and our hands have handled…”

    The apostles did not proclaim an imaginary person. They witnessed, heard and physically encountered Jesus Christ.

    3. SO THAT WE COULD FELLOWSHIP WITH HIM

    Jesus did not merely appear to humanity from a distance. He lived among people.

    1 John 1:3:

    “…that which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us…”»l

    Jesus also fellowshiped with His disciples.

    Matthew 26:30:

    “And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.”

    He ate with them, walked with them, taught them and fellowshipped with them.

    4. TO REVEAL THE POWER OF GOD THROUGH THE FLESH

    Jesus demonstrated God's power through miracles, healing, deliverance and authority.

    John 2:11:

    “This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory…”

    Acts 2:22:

    “Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs…”

    His works revealed what was behind the humanity—the divine nature and power of God.

    5. TO EXPERIENCE HUMANITY AND IDENTIFY WITH US

    Jesus experienced hunger, thirst, weariness, sorrow, rejection and temptation, yet without sin.

    Hebrews 4:15:

    “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities…”

    Hebrews 2:17:

    “Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren…”

    He understands what humanity experiences.

    6. TO SHED HIS BLOOD FOR OUR SALVATION

    The ultimate reason for His manifestation was redemption.

    Matthew 26:28:

    “For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”

    1 Peter 1:18–19:

    “…ye were not redeemed with corruptible things… But with the precious blood of Christ…”

    Jesus came to die for the sins of humanity and rise again.

    1 Corinthians 15:3–4:

    “Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day…”

    YOU CANNOT GET GOD CHEAPLY

    Gold does not usually lie openly on the surface. It must be sought, discovered and refined.

    In the same way, we must look beyond the outward appearance of Jesus to understand who He truly is.

    Jeremiah 29:13:

    “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”

    Behind the soil, there may be gold.

    Behind the humanity of Jesus, there is the revelation of God.

    Jesus appeared as a man, but He was more than merely a man.

    John 10:30:

    “I and my Father are one.”

    John 20:28:

    “And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.”

    The Messiah was hidden behind the humanity of Jesus until He was revealed to those who believed.

    ANY SPIRIT THAT DENIES JESUS CAME IN THE FLESH

    The Bible gives a serious warning concerning any teaching that denies the incarnation.

    1 John 4:2–3:

    “Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God…”

    Jesus truly came in the flesh.

    He was not merely a spiritual appearance. He was genuinely human while being divine.

    WHY ACTS 18:28 IS IMPORTANT

    Acts 18:28:

    “For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publickly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ.”

    Apollos and the early Christian preachers had to convince the Jews from the Scriptures that Jesus was the Christ, the Messiah.

    Many Jews expected the Messiah to establish an earthly political kingdom and deliver them from their enemies. They struggled to understand the manner in which the Messiah would first come.

    Jesus did not come first as an earthly political ruler. He came as the suffering Servant who would deal with the deeper problem of humanity sin.

    Isaiah 53:5:

    “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities…”

    His kingdom is ultimately spiritual and eternal.

    John 18:36:

    “My kingdom is not of this world…”

    Luke 1:32–33:

    “…the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever…”

    Therefore, Jesus did not fit the people's expectation of what the Messiah should look like, but the Scriptures testified concerning Him.

    PRACTICAL EXAMPLE: WHY PEOPLE STILL REJECT JESUS

    Even today, many people reject Jesus because they do not understand what is behind the Gospel.

    Some see religious hypocrisy, fanaticism, scandals, poor leadership or people who claim Christianity but do not demonstrate Christ-like character.

    But the failure of people does not invalidate Jesus.

    We must distinguish between Jesus Christ and the imperfections of people who claim to represent Him.

    Hebrews 12:2:

    “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith…”

    Our faith must ultimately be placed in Christ, not in imperfect human beings.

    Some people look to God for survival, prosperity, longevity or protection but do not truly know Him.

    They may place their hope in religious traditions, human philosophies or personal beliefs while rejecting God's saving grace.

    But the Gospel points us back to Jesus.

    THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO GOD

    Jesus made this clear:

    John 14:6:

    “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

    Peter also declared:

    Acts 4:12:

    “Neither is there salvation in any other…”

    Jesus did not merely claim to know the way. He declared Himself to be the Way.

    His resurrection became one of the greatest proofs of His identity.

    Romans 1:4:

    “And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.”

    The Christian faith is therefore not founded merely on human philosophy but on the person, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

    CONCLUSION: WHO IS BEHIND JESUS?

    Behind the humanity of Jesus is the divine revelation of God.

    Jesus is the Word who became flesh.

    John 1:1–3:

    “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him…”

    And then:

    John 1:14:

    “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us…”

    Jesus is the image of the invisible God.

    Colossians 1:15:

    “Who is the image of the invisible God…”

    The fullness of God dwells in Him.

    Colossians 2:9:

    “For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”

    He existed before Abraham.

    John 8:58:

    “Before Abraham was, I am.”

    He is one with the Father.

    John 10:30:

    “I and my Father are one.”

    Thomas called Him God.

    John 20:28:

    “My Lord and my God.”

    And the Father Himself speaks concerning the Son:

    Hebrews 1:8:

    “But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever…”

    Therefore, when we look at Jesus, we must look beyond the physical appearance of the man and understand the divine truth revealed through Him.

    Jesus Christ is the Word made flesh.
    Jesus Christ is the revelation of God.
    Jesus Christ is the Messiah.
    Jesus Christ is the Saviour.
    Jesus Christ is the Way to the Father.
    And in Him is eternal life.

    FINAL CHALLENGE

    Do not stop at what you see on the surface.

    Look behind Jesus.

    Look beyond His humanity and discover His divine identity through the Scriptures.

    John 20:31:

    “But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.”

    The goal is not merely to know about Jesus. The goal is to know Jesus, believe in Him, and receive the salvation and eternal life that are found in Him.

John 18:36: “My kingdom is not of this world…” Luke 1:32–33: “…the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever…” Therefore, Jesus did not fit the people's expectation of what the Messiah should look like, but the Scriptures testified concerning Him. PRACTICAL EXAMPLE: WHY PEOPLE STILL REJECT JESUS Even today, many people reject Jesus because they do not understand what is behind the Gospel. Hebrews 12:2: “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith…” Our faith must ultimately be placed in Christ, not in imperfect human beings. Some people look to God for survival, prosperity, longevity or protection but do not truly know Him. They may place their hope in religious traditions, human philosophies or personal beliefs while rejecting God's saving grace. But the Gospel points us back to Jesus. THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO GOD Jesus made this clear: John 14:6: “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Peter also declared: Acts 4:12: “Neither is there salvation in any other…” Jesus did not merely claim to know the way. He declared Himself to be the Way. His resurrection became one of the greatest proofs of His identity. Romans 1:4: “And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.” The Christian faith is therefore not founded merely on human philosophy but on the person, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. CONCLUSION: WHO IS BEHIND JESUS? Behind the humanity of Jesus is the divine revelation of God. Jesus is the Word who became flesh. John 1:1–3: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him…” And then: John 1:14: “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us…” Jesus is the image of the invisible God. Colossians 1:15: “Who is the image of the invisible God…” The fullness of God dwells in Him. Colossians 2:9: “For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.” He existed before Abraham. John 8:58: “Before Abraham was, I am.” He is one with the Father. John 10:30: “I and my Father are one.” Thomas called Him God. John 20:28: “My Lord and my God.” And the Father Himself speaks concerning the Son: Hebrews 1:8: “But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever…” Therefore, when we look at Jesus, we must look beyond the physical appearance of the man and understand the divine truth revealed through Him. Jesus Christ is the Word made flesh. Jesus Christ is the revelation of God. Jesus Christ is the Messiah. Jesus Christ is the Saviour. Jesus Christ is the Way to the Father. And in Him is eternal life. FINAL CHALLENGE Do not stop at what you see on the surface. Look behind Jesus. Look beyond His humanity and discover His divine identity through the Scriptures. John 20:31: “But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.” The goal is not merely to know about Jesus. The goal is to know Jesus, believe in Him, and receive the salvation and eternal life that are found in Him.

  • Assumption of Mary

    Tradition:
    - After Jesus' ascension, Mary lived with the Apostles until her death. Following her passing, she was buried by the Apostles. Tradition holds that the Apostle St. Thomas, who arrived after her death, was eager to see her one last time. Upon opening her tomb, the Apostles discovered it empty, leading to the belief that God had assumed Mary into heaven, body and soul, without her body decaying.

    Significance:
    - Mary as a Pathway: Mary, as the Mother of Jesus, is considered a pathway to heaven. Just as Jesus entered the world through Mary, believers view her as a guide and intercessor on their journey to eternal life.

    Feast and Celebration:
    - The Feast of the Assumption, celebrated on August 15th, honors Mary's assumption into heaven. This feast reflects on her role in salvation history and seeks her intercession.

    Spiritual Symbolism:
    - Ladder to Heaven: Mary is often depicted as a "ladder" through which believers ascend to heaven, symbolizing her role in bringing Jesus into the world and her ongoing guidance for the faithful.

    This belief underscores Mary's unique place in Christian devotion, highlighting her role in the divine plan of salvation and her continued spiritual presence as a mother to all Christians.

  • The Story Behind the Hymns
    THE STORY BEHIND "GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS"

    Some hymns are written in moments of triumph while others are born from the testimony of a life that has learned, through hardship and uncertainty, that God never fails.

    “Great Is Thy Faithfulness” is one of those hymns.

    In 1923, American Methodist minister Thomas Obediah Chisholm wrote words that would eventually become one of Christianity’s most cherished hymns. The hymn was not born from one spectacular miracle or a single dramatic event but grew from Chisholm’s personal experience of God’s steady care throughout his life.

    Born in Franklin, Kentucky, in 1866, Chisholm experienced financial difficulties and recurring health challenges. Yet, through the changing seasons of life, he became increasingly convinced that God’s faithfulness was not dependent on circumstances.

    His inspiration came largely from the powerful words of Lamentations 3:22–23:

    “It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”

    That biblical declaration became the foundation of his hymn.

    Chisholm sent the poem to his friend, William Marion Runyan, a Methodist minister and musician associated with the Moody Bible Institute. Deeply moved by the words, Runyan composed the melody that would carry the hymn into churches around the world.

    Then came the unforgettable opening:

    “Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
    There is no shadow of turning with Thee.”

    The hymn celebrates something profoundly simple: God’s character does not change.

    Morning after morning, His mercies are renewed. Through seasons of abundance and seasons of need, through joy and sorrow, uncertainty and hope, His faithfulness remains.

    That is why the hymn has endured for generations.

    It reminds us that we do not have to wait for a great miracle to recognize God’s goodness. Sometimes, the greatest evidence of His faithfulness is simply waking up to another morning, another day of mercy, another opportunity to trust Him.

    Nearly a century after Chisholm wrote those words, the hymn continues to cross generations, cultures and denominations.

    Its message remains as powerful today as when it was first written:

    God was faithful yesterday.
    God is faithful today.
    And God will be faithful tomorrow.

    Every new morning is another testimony.

    Great is Thy faithfulness.

  • Good morning, brethren.
    1. Morning devotion for today.

    MD.i. MORNING TEA
    THE WORD FOR TODAY
    WEDNESDAY AUGUST 12, 2O26.
    "WORKING IN THE KINGDOM (3)"

    ‘The father [or mother] of a righteous man has great joy...’ Proverbs 23:24 NIV.

    THE HARDEST work is sometimes the most overlooked work. A husband came home from work one day and the house was an absolute mess. Clothes were strewn all over the floor, washing up filled the sink, the kids were crying, the beds were unmade, the bathroom smelled badly and the TV set was blaring. When he asked his wife what was going on, she replied, ‘You know how you ask me every night what I did all day? Well, today I didn’t do it.’ If you’re a stay-at-home mum or dad, God considers your work to be important. It’s more important to the future than just about any other profession—because you’re determining the quality of the next generation. Martin Luther said, ‘What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord.’ One day God will say, ‘Well done,’ to parents who cared for children—bathing them, feeding them, cleaning up after them—when they were tired and thought nobody was looking. Somebody is looking. Somebody is keeping track. It is worth it! You are the one who makes your work significant—not the other way round. When you discover the gifts God has given you and the passions He has placed within you, and put them to work in the service of values you deeply believe in—you are ‘working for God’ in the truest sense. So each day ask God to make your work go well. And try to identify the larger picture in your work that makes it a ‘calling.’

    *HEAVEN: THE PERMANENT RESIDENCE OF THE BELIEVERS*

    *TEXT:* JOHN 14:1-6.

    1Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
    2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
    3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
    4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
    5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
    6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me

    *Timeless Truth:*_"But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city"_ (Hebrews 11:16).

    *INTRODUCTION*

    Jim Reeves, in one of his classics, composed an all time beautiful and inspired song about heaven. "I have heard of a land;
    On a faraway strand
    'Tis a beautiful home of the soul;
    Built by Jesus on high
    There we never shall die
    'Tis the land where we never grow old.
    When our work here is done;
    And the life crown is won;
    And our troubles and trials are o'er;
    All our sorrow will end
    And our voices will blend
    With the loved ones who've gone on before".
    The children of Israel ate manna in the wilderness and not one of them fell sick for 40 years and neither did their cloth fade according to the Scriptures. The food of heaven and the environment of heaven will be such that the inhabitants will never grow old, but remain young, healthy and fresh throughout eternity. Every attempt by any mortal to describe heaven is like a blind man describing the colour of a beautiful house. It is easier to think and plan for what you see than what you don't see no matter how real. Hence, there is need for constant reminder, refocusing and reconsecration to make heaven, less our vision of the invisible and eternal things give way to the vision of visible temporary things. *"For truly, if they (the heroes of faith) had been mindful of that country (the world) from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned"* (Hebrews 11:15).

    *1. The Admonition on Faith*

    a. Man is consciously or unconsciously a slave to what he believes whether true or false. The person who does good or evil believes that it will pay him. The person who serves God or does otherwise believes that is the best thing to do, all things being equal. The only person who could experientially and authoritatively speak about heaven is the person who lived there for an innumerable number of years and had visited the earth. Jesus Christ challenged the faith of His disciples to fully and truly believe, not only in the reality of heaven, but what heaven offers. The thought of Jesus Christ leaving them for heaven was disturbing and troublesome. However, the thought of heaven is comforting above all troubles on earth. *"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me"*.
    b. Jesus Christ said He came from heaven. Moses claimed He saw God come from heaven on the mount of Sinai. At the mount of transfiguration, three apostles said they saw the glory of heaven on Jesus, Elijah and Moses. John the Apostle emphatically said *"I John saw heaven open"*. Revelation also said that as God alone created the universe without any assistance from the angels, God Himself created heaven. *"Whose Builder and the Maker is God"*. When there is faith in God and consequently in heaven, all earthly glory and sorrows fade into insignificance.

    *Question*

    Is heaven and its glory real to you? Are you focused on making it by all means?

    *2. The Assurance for the Faithful*

    There is a Revelation about heaven that no other prophet could give except an eye witness. There is an abundance of accommodation for all the saints of God. *"In my Father's house are many mansions"*. Jesus invoked His undeniable truthfulness and integrity to give us a solid assurance. *"If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you"*. Jesus is saying that there is no need to deceive His disciples. Part of the present preoccupation of Christ is building a beautiful and eternally durable unimproveable mansion for each of God's people.
    The cosmos is roughly 7 x10 to power 23 times larger than our planet, rendering Earth an invisible speck in the vast cosmic ocean. This is different from the part of the cosmos that humans'
    lenses cannot observe so far. John said *"there was no more seas"*. So the space for building mansions is inexhaustible by all the saints that ever lived.
    b. Every saint should therefore, be assured that there is an unfading and most beautiful accommodation ever, designed and built by God awaiting him for eternal dwelling. Which one is more real to you? Dream or what you see in the physical. As what you see on earth is more real than what is dreamt, much more, the life of heaven is incomparably more real than what is experienced on the planet earth. Everything in heaven is perfect that no man on earth and creature in heaven would be able to improve on it.

    *Question*

    Are you excited about heaven?

    *3. The Advent of the Forerunner*

    a. Jesus came from heaven and He is the firstborn from among the dead. He is the first to die, buried, resurrected and gone to heaven with a resurrected body. He also promised to come back to the earth with His resurrected glorified body. *"And if I go and prepare a place for you"*. Did He truly go as promised? Since He fulfilled the promise to go to heaven He will no doubt fulfill other promises attached. *"I will come again"*. He did not say He "may come again". He was very
    definite and certain. When He comes again for the Church, represented by the disciples He was speaking to, what will He do? *"And receive you unto myself"*. He did not say he would come and take them, but rather come and receive them. This is Rapture being referred to in which Jesus in the sky will receive the saints to heaven as a host comes out of his chamber to receive His special guest or visitors to his house. (1 Thessalonians 4:14-17). *"That where I am, there ye may be also"*.

    *Question*

    Are you always watchful to make sure you are ever ready?

    *4. The Answer to the Forgetful*

    You will be surprised at the kind of question the once doubting Thomas was asking. *"Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?"*. He was there when Nicodemus was lectured by Christ on how to get to heaven. He was there when Jesus preached the longest sermon on the Mount as to the qualification for heaven. He was there when Jesus said *"No man has seen God at all times"*. Preachers should not assume that their followers fully understand the spiritual things they are teaching. Spiritual truth must be repeatedly read and taught over and over until it turns to conviction. Jesus is the only true way to heaven.

    *Question*

    What makes someone qualified for heaven?

    *Prayer Points*

    1.Lord, I praise You for the best alternative to this earth You have provided for me. Help me never to miss it .
    2.Refocus my desire and affection on heaven and heavenly things afresh and help me that it will be my primary pursuit and vision .
    3.Keep me from being deceived and distracted from heavenly things by the glamour of this world .
    4.Search out Your people and remove all things in our lives that will make entering heaven impossible .

    *HYMN:* Where We Never Get Old.

    *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* JOB 13-15.

    *HEAVEN: PREPARED FOR THE PREPARED* 🫵🏽🏽‍🏽‍🏽🏽‍🏽🏽

    ```TEXT:JOHN 14:1-6```
    ```KEY VERSE:``` _*"In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you" (JOHN 14:2).*_

    *D. L. Moody, the famous evangelist, once said before his death, "Someday you will read in the papers that D. L. Moody of East Northfield is dead. Don't you believe a word of it! At that moment, I shall be more alive than I am now. I shall have gone up higher, that is all, out of this old clay tenement into a house that is immortal, a body that death cannot touch, that sin cannot taint; a body fashioned like unto His glorious body." Moody understood the truth that heaven is not a vague idea but a real, prepared place for those who belong to Christ. He had no fear of death because he knew that Jesus had already secured for him an eternal home.*

    *In today's text, Jesus gives the same assurance to His disciples: He has gone ahead to prepare a place for them, and He will return to take them there. He speaks words of comfort to His troubled disciples. He tells them not to be afraid because His Father's house is big enough to accommodate all those who are qualified, and that He is going to prepare the place for them. More than that, He promises to return and bring them to be with Him forever. When Thomas questions the way to this place, Jesus makes a life-changing declaration: "...I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" (John 14:6).*

    *Heaven is not an accidental destination. It is a prepared place for prepared people. Jesus makes it clear that He is the only Way to this eternal home. Today, many believe that all roads lead to heaven, but Christ's words leave no room for confusion. Only those who accept Him and live for Him will enter the place He has prepared.*

    *This truth should give us confidence and peace as believers in Christ's return. Just as a traveller finds joy knowing a home awaits at the end of his journey, we too should endure life's trials knowing that heaven is real and waiting for us. However, this is also a call for readiness, as only those who are prepared in Christ will enter there. Heaven is not for the undecided or the uncommitted; it is for those who know and follow Christ. It is for those who have let go of the world, let in Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour and live for Him consistently.*

    *Faith is the conduit between man and God. It is important in the life of a praying believer as the scripture confirms that without it, it is impossible to please God.*

    *"Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase," submitted Martin Luther King Jr. A prayer of faith means a prayer you offer believing in His promises firmly, even when you have not seen the physical manifestation of the promise yet.*

    ```Key Verse:``` _*"And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice" (1 Kings 11:9).*_
    It is not all things that glitters that is gold. God is loving, He has great plans for His children. However, no parent toils on a child who decides to disobey instructions. Solomon was a beloved child of God. He found favour with God because David his father obeyed God. Your Christian parents, pastors, teachers and elders are sent to correct you. Don't despise their correction.
    Though God is merciful, yet the salvation of your parents doesn't guarantee your protection from the wiles of the devil. Solomon allowed his great wisdom to control him. He forgot God and embraced popularity and riches. God was angry with him and punished him severely. God is not a respecter of persons. He punishes every sinner or backslider.
    *Avoid the danger ahead! Sin leads to heavy consequences. Such consequences could come in the form of sickness, failure in examination, oppression or death (physical and eternal). Return to God your Maker, He loves you. Don't allow your worldly wisdom, pride or riches of your parents to take you to hell. Let the blood of Jesus wash you now.*
    2. Morning Prayer for today.
    MP.i. Morning Prayer
    [It is of] the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. [They are] new every morning: great [is] thy faithfulness. ⏤ Lamentations 3:22-23
    The Christian life is one of gratitude. A heart that is constantly overflowing with thankfulness is a heart close to God. ⏤ A.W. Tozer
    O God, giver of all good and fountain of all mercy, we thank You for Your grace and the many ways You show Your care for us. Your faithfulness never fails. Your mercies are new every morning, fresh every moment, more than we can count. What can we give You in return for all Your goodness to us? We have nothing to offer but the poor love of our hearts, and we give that to You. Grant us more and more the spirit of praise and thanksgiving. Teach us to sing even when tears choke our songs. Give us songs in the night. Teach us how to rejoice, even in care and sorrow.
    We thank You for our home and all it means to us. You have filled our lives with countless blessings through the love that unites us as a family. Our home is a little bit of Your love poured into our hearts. We thank You for the shelter our home provides and for the gentle affections that bind us together. May our home grow sweeter as the days pass. Make our home life more loving, patient, and kind. May our love be less selfish and more like the love of Jesus.
    We ask for special blessings for this day. We will face dangers we are unaware of; protect us from them. We are vulnerable to accidents wherever we go; defend us from them. Grant us the grace to walk through the moral challenges around us without being harmed by them. Give Your angels charge over us to keep us in all Your ways. Lead us wherever we go so that we may not stumble. Make us strong for holy service. Let Your protection be over us all day, and give us strength for every duty. We ask all this in Jesus' precious name. Amen.
A husband came home from work one day and the house was an absolute mess. Clothes were strewn all over the floor, washing up filled the sink, the kids were crying, the beds were unmade, the bathroom smelled badly and the TV set was blaring. When he asked his wife what was going on, she replied, ‘You know how you ask me every night what I did all day? Well, today I didn’t do it.’ If you’re a stay-at-home mum or dad, God considers your work to be important. It’s more important to the future than just about any other profession—because you’re determining the quality of the next generation. Martin Luther said, ‘What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord.’ One day God will say, ‘Well done,’ to parents who cared for children—bathing them, feeding them, cleaning up after them—when they were tired and thought nobody was looking. Somebody is looking. Somebody is keeping track. It is worth it! You are the one who makes your work significant—not the other way round. When you discover the gifts God has given you and the passions He has placed within you, and put them to work in the service of values you deeply believe in—you are ‘working for God’ in the truest sense. So each day ask God to make your work go well. And try to identify the larger picture in your work that makes it a ‘calling.’ Bible In A Year: Judg 7:1 – 9:33, Matt 16:13-28, Ps 119:65-72, Pro 17:23-26. [11/08, 9:24 pm] Pastor Attah: *MEDITATIONS ON DAILY ⓂANNA* WEDNESDAY, 12TH AUGUST, 2026. *HEAVEN: THE PERMANENT RESIDENCE OF THE BELIEVERS* *TEXT:* JOHN 14:1-6. 1Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. 4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. 5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me *Timeless Truth:*_"But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city"_ (Hebrews 11:16). *INTRODUCTION* Jim Reeves, in one of his classics, composed an all time beautiful and inspired song about heaven. "I have heard of a land; On a faraway strand 'Tis a beautiful home of the soul; Built by Jesus on high There we never shall die 'Tis the land where we never grow old. When our work here is done; And the life crown is won; And our troubles and trials are o'er; All our sorrow will end And our voices will blend With the loved ones who've gone on before". The children of Israel ate manna in the wilderness and not one of them fell sick for 40 years and neither did their cloth fade according to the Scriptures. The food of heaven and the environment of heaven will be such that the inhabitants will never grow old, but remain young, healthy and fresh throughout eternity. Every attempt by any mortal to describe heaven is like a blind man describing the colour of a beautiful house. It is easier to think and plan for what you see than what you don't see no matter how real. Hence, there is need for constant reminder, refocusing and reconsecration to make heaven, less our vision of the invisible and eternal things give way to the vision of visible temporary things. *"For truly, if they (the heroes of faith) had been mindful of that country (the world) from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned"* (Hebrews 11:15). *1. The Admonition on Faith* a. Man is consciously or unconsciously a slave to what he believes whether true or false. The person who does good or evil believes that it will pay him. The person who serves God or does otherwise believes that is the best thing to do, all things being equal. The only person who could experientially and authoritatively speak about heaven is the person who lived there for an innumerable number of years and had visited the earth. Jesus Christ challenged the faith of His disciples to fully and truly believe, not only in the reality of heaven, but what heaven offers. The thought of Jesus Christ leaving them for heaven was disturbing and troublesome. However, the thought of heaven is comforting above all troubles on earth. *"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me"*. b. Jesus Christ said He came from heaven. Moses claimed He saw God come from heaven on the mount of Sinai. At the mount of transfiguration, three apostles said they saw the glory of heaven on Jesus, Elijah and Moses. John the Apostle emphatically said *"I John saw heaven open"*. Revelation also said that as God alone created the universe without any assistance from the angels, God Himself created heaven. *"Whose Builder and the Maker is God"*. When there is faith in God and consequently in heaven, all earthly glory and sorrows fade into insignificance. *Question* Is heaven and its glory real to you? Are you focused on making it by all means? *2. The Assurance for the Faithful* There is a Revelation about heaven that no other prophet could give except an eye witness. There is an abundance of accommodation for all the saints of God. *"In my Father's house are many mansions"*. Jesus invoked His undeniable truthfulness and integrity to give us a solid assurance. *"If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you"*. Jesus is saying that there is no need to deceive His disciples. Part of the present preoccupation of Christ is building a beautiful and eternally durable unimproveable mansion for each of God's people. The cosmos is roughly 7 x10 to power 23 times larger than our planet, rendering Earth an invisible speck in the vast cosmic ocean. This is different from the part of the cosmos that humans' lenses cannot observe so far. John said *"there was no more seas"*. So the space for building mansions is inexhaustible by all the saints that ever lived. b. Every saint should therefore, be assured that there is an unfading and most beautiful accommodation ever, designed and built by God awaiting him for eternal dwelling. Which one is more real to you? Dream or what you see in the physical. As what you see on earth is more real than what is dreamt, much more, the life of heaven is incomparably more real than what is experienced on the planet earth. Everything in heaven is perfect that no man on earth and creature in heaven would be able to improve on it. *Question* Are you excited about heaven? *3. The Advent of the Forerunner* a. Jesus came from heaven and He is the firstborn from among the dead. He is the first to die, buried, resurrected and gone to heaven with a resurrected body. He also promised to come back to the earth with His resurrected glorified body. *"And if I go and prepare a place for you"*. Did He truly go as promised? Since He fulfilled the promise to go to heaven He will no doubt fulfill other promises attached. *"I will come again"*. He did not say He "may come again". He was very definite and certain. When He comes again for the Church, represented by the disciples He was speaking to, what will He do? *"And receive you unto myself"*. He did not say he would come and take them, but rather come and receive them. This is Rapture being referred to in which Jesus in the sky will receive the saints to heaven as a host comes out of his chamber to receive His special guest or visitors to his house. (1 Thessalonians 4:14-17). *"That where I am, there ye may be also"*. *Question* Are you always watchful to make sure you are ever ready? *4. The Answer to the Forgetful* You will be surprised at the kind of question the once doubting Thomas was asking. *"Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?"*. He was there when Nicodemus was lectured by Christ on how to get to heaven. He was there when Jesus preached the longest sermon on the Mount as to the qualification for heaven. He was there when Jesus said *"No man has seen God at all times"*. Preachers should not assume that their followers fully understand the spiritual things they are teaching. Spiritual truth must be repeatedly read and taught over and over until it turns to conviction. Jesus is the only true way to heaven. *Question* What makes someone qualified for heaven? *Prayer Points* 1.Lord, I praise You for the best alternative to this earth You have provided for me. Help me never to miss it 🙏. 2.Refocus my desire and affection on heaven and heavenly things afresh and help me that it will be my primary pursuit and vision 🙏. 3.Keep me from being deceived and distracted from heavenly things by the glamour of this world 🙏. 4.Search out Your people and remove all things in our lives that will make entering heaven impossible 🙏. *HYMN:* Where We Never Get Old. *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* JOB 13-15. I go to prepare a place for you" (JOHN 14:2).*_ *D. L. Moody, the famous evangelist, once said before his death, "Someday you will read in the papers that D. L. Moody of East Northfield is dead. Don't you believe a word of it! At that moment, I shall be more alive than I am now. I shall have gone up higher, that is all, out of this old clay tenement into a house that is immortal, a body that death cannot touch, that sin cannot taint; a body fashioned like unto His glorious body." Moody understood the truth that heaven is not a vague idea but a real, prepared place for those who belong to Christ. He had no fear of death because he knew that Jesus had already secured for him an eternal home.* *In today's text, Jesus gives the same assurance to His disciples: He has gone ahead to prepare a place for them, and He will return to take them there. He speaks words of comfort to His troubled disciples. He tells them not to be afraid because His Father's house is big enough to accommodate all those who are qualified, and that He is going to prepare the place for them. More than that, He promises to return and bring them to be with Him forever. When Thomas questions the way to this place, Jesus makes a life-changing declaration: "...I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" (John 14:6).* *Heaven is not an accidental destination. It is a prepared place for prepared people. Jesus makes it clear that He is the only Way to this eternal home. Today, many believe that all roads lead to heaven, but Christ's words leave no room for confusion. Only those who accept Him and live for Him will enter the place He has prepared.* *This truth should give us confidence and peace as believers in Christ's return. Just as a traveller finds joy knowing a home awaits at the end of his journey, we too should endure life's trials knowing that heaven is real and waiting for us. However, this is also a call for readiness, as only those who are prepared in Christ will enter there. Heaven is not for the undecided or the uncommitted; it is for those who know and follow Christ. It is for those who have let go of the world, let in Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour and live for Him consistently.* ✍🏽```THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:``` _*If your aim is heaven, look beyond this world.*_ 📜📜```THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:``` *JOB 13-15*📜📜 Heaven: Prepared For The Prepared https://dailymanna.app// *RECOMMENDED GOSPEL HYMNS AND SONGS - GHS 137: HOW BEAUTIFUL HEAVEN MUST BE; GHS 138: WHEN WE ALL GET TO HEAVEN; GHS 139: BEAUTIFUL HOME!; AND GHS 20: THE WAY, THE TRUTH, THE LIFE* *TXD [THEXDEVOTIONALS] on Twitter* *#DailyManna12thAugust2026* *#GCK* *#WorshipNuggets* *#BibleNuggets* *#LeadershipNuggets* *#RevivalNuggets* *#CrusadeNuggets* https://www.youtube.com/[THEXDEVOTIONALS] [11/08, 9:24 pm] Pastor Attah: ```DEEPER CHRISTIAN LIFE MINISTRY``` _*HIGHER EVERYD🅰️Y: (A DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE FOR YOUTHS)*_ ✍🏽👩🏻‍💼🌻 🍇🙏🏽🛰🚀🔬📚 ```WEDNESDAY 12TH AUGUST, 2026``` *THE PRAYER OF FAITH* 🎚️📓📖🫵🏽🙋🏽‍♂️🙋🏽‍♀️🗣️🧎🏽🧎🏽‍♀️🙏🏽🙌🏽 📜📜```TEXT:JAMES 5:13-18```📜📜 📖``` MEMORY VERSE:``` _*"And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him" (JAMES 5:15).*_ *Faith is the conduit between man and God. God is loving, He has great plans for His children. However, no parent toils on a child who decides to disobey instructions. Solomon was a beloved child of God. He found favour with God because David his father obeyed God. Your Christian parents, pastors, teachers and elders are sent to correct you. Don't despise their correction. Though God is merciful, yet the salvation of your parents doesn't guarantee your protection from the wiles of the devil. Solomon allowed his great wisdom to control him. He forgot God and embraced popularity and riches. God was angry with him and punished him severely. God is not a respecter of persons. He punishes every sinner or backslider. *Avoid the danger ahead! Sin leads to heavy consequences. Such consequences could come in the form of sickness, failure in examination, oppression or death (physical and eternal). Return to God your Maker, He loves you. Don't allow your worldly wisdom, pride or riches of your parents to take you to hell. Morning Prayer for today. MP.i. Morning Prayer [It is of] the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. [They are] new every morning: great [is] thy faithfulness. ⏤ Lamentations 3:22-23 The Christian life is one of gratitude. A heart that is constantly overflowing with thankfulness is a heart close to God. ⏤ A.W. Tozer O God, giver of all good and fountain of all mercy, we thank You for Your grace and the many ways You show Your care for us. Your faithfulness never fails. Your mercies are new every morning, fresh every moment, more than we can count. What can we give You in return for all Your goodness to us? We have nothing to offer but the poor love of our hearts, and we give that to You. Grant us more and more the spirit of praise and thanksgiving. Teach us to sing even when tears choke our songs. Give us songs in the night. Teach us how to rejoice, even in care and sorrow. We thank You for our home and all it means to us. You have filled our lives with countless blessings through the love that unites us as a family. Our home is a little bit of Your love poured into our hearts. We thank You for the shelter our home provides and for the gentle affections that bind us together. May our home grow sweeter as the days pass. Make our home life more loving, patient, and kind. May our love be less selfish and more like the love of Jesus. We ask for special blessings for this day. We will face dangers we are unaware of; protect us from them. We are vulnerable to accidents wherever we go; defend us from them. Grant us the grace to walk through the moral challenges around us without being harmed by them. Give Your angels charge over us to keep us in all Your ways. Lead us wherever we go so that we may not stumble. Make us strong for holy service. Let Your protection be over us all day, and give us strength for every duty. We ask all this in Jesus' precious name. Amen. https://www.youdevotion.com/daily-prayer/miller/38/morning #taptapstudio #youdevotion.
  • Daily Devotion: Mark 11:22-23
    “…. Have faith in God. I assure you that whoever tells this hill to get up and throw itself in the sea and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.”
    Friends, why is it that we so completely underestimate the power of faith? We are children of God, we are His disciples and we share in His almighty power.
    We doubt ourselves far too much and sell ourselves short too often. It is time that we lay claim to what has been given, through faith.
    Could you imagine life as a superhero? Saving the lives of many and changing the outcome of situations that would otherwise end up in disaster would be absolutely brilliant. Thing is, if our faith measures up, we can DO it. Why? Because God’s Word says so.
    Luke 1:37: “For no word of God shall be void of power.”
    Faith makes us stronger and, sometimes I wonder if we even understand what faith is. I once heard it explained by a very unlikely source, a character in one of my favourite novels by author Stephen King. The guy more or less said: “Faith is when you sit in a chair, knowing that it wouldn’t break and spill you to the floor. You trust it will hold.” [from ‘Pet Sematary’ by Stephen King]
    I know you are all gasping at the fact that I actually read these books, but stop focusing on the origin of the explanation and see the point I’m trying to make, please. Faith is trusting that something will be as you expect it will. Without a shred of doubt. You accept it as fact.
    When we pray and ask God for something, the human in us whispers: “Why do you even ask? You know this won’t happen.” Doubting Thomas?? Yes, indeed. Actually, I suspect it is not the human in us that does the whispering, it is Satan, trying to sow uncertainty to orchestrate failure.
    If you throw faith into the equation, if you believe your prayers will be answered beyond a shadow of a doubt, you can silence that whisper.
    What are you waiting for? Give it a try….and BELIEVE.
  • DEMONS IN MULTITUDES OF CHURCHES
    KUNDALINI
    .
    THANKS TO GERALD W THOMAS
    .
    KUNDALINI
    THE FALSE HOLY SPIRIT
    THE FALSE RUACH HAQODESH
    THE FALSE SET-APART SPIRIT
    HAS INFILTRATED MANY CHURCHES
    .
    Yoga IS a Religion, and its purpose is to awaken one's Kundalini. What is "KUNDALINI"?
    In Hinduism, KUNDALINI is actually a goddess that resides at the base of the spine and is awakened by the practice of Yoga. In other words, it is a demon.
    YOGA is simply an invitation to demonic possession.
    The KUNDALINI SPIRIT gained access to the Western world from India through New Age teaching. It is popularly known as Yoga. Don't for a minute think that Yoga is harmless. Yoga is an inherent part of Hindu philosophy which teaches man and nature are one with divinity.
    In KUNDALINI Yoga, there are seven sensitive points (chakras) that have a serpent at the base of the spine. The serpent works through each chakra that is open until it reaches the penal gland (which most consider the third eye), until you then realize you are a god…does this sound familiar?
    And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
    For ELOHIYM knows that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as elohiym, knowing good and evil.
    RE’SHIYTH (GENESIS) 3:4-5 Eth Cepher
    Signs one's KUNDALINI has been awakened:
    Involuntary jerks, tremors, shaking, itching, tingling, and crawling sensations, especially in the arms and legs
    Energy rushes or feelings of electricity circulating the body
    Intense heat (sweating) or cold, especially as energy is experienced passing through the chakras
    Spontaneous pranayama, asanas, mudras and bandhas
    Visions or sounds at times associated with a particular chakra
    Diminished or conversely extreme sexual desire sometimes leading to a state of constant or whole-body orgasm
    Emotional upheavals or surfacing of unwanted and repressed feelings or thoughts with certain repressed emotions becoming dominant in the conscious mind for short or long periods of time.
    Headache, migraine or pressure inside the skull
    Increased blood pressure and irregular heartbeat
    Emotional numbness
    Antisocial tendencies
    Mood swings with periods of depression or mania
    Pains in different areas of the body, especially back and neck
    Sensitivity to light, sound and touch
    Trance-like and altered states of consciousness
    Disrupted sleep pattern (periods of insomnia or oversleeping)
    Loss of appetite or overeating
    Bliss, feelings of infinite love and universal connectivity, transcendent awareness
    If you know anything about spiritual warfare and exorcism, many of these symptoms are red flags for demonic possession. So, should a Follower of Messiah practice Yoga?
    A better question is: Do you want to invite demons into your body and break the First Commandment by practicing a religion that believes there are elohiyms (gods) other than the ELOHIYM of the Scriptures?
    Now let's look at KUNDALINI in :THE TORAH/TANACH
    You shall have no other elohiym before me.
    SHEMOTH (EXODUS) 20:3 Eth Cepher
    KUNDALINI is an anti-Messiah spiritual counterfeit of the RUACH HAQODESH (Set-Apart (Holy) Spirit).
    We need To Bind This Serpent Spirit, Cast It Out, and for every Scripture Preacher And Teacher to Discern this Spirit and close the church doors to its Occult Operations.
    Scriptural passages that do mention stuff like shaking, crying, laughing, and so on cannot be interpreted into the “fruits” that MASHIACH speaks about since fruits rather refers to acts of repentance (LUKE 3) and Spiritual fruits like love, joy and peace (GALATIONS)
    Scriptures DO show how False Spirits Mimic The RUACH HAQODESH (Set-Apart (Holy) Spirit), like when Pharaoh’s Wizards turned their staffs into Snakes just like Moses did through The Power Of YHWH. If you just focus on the outer appearance you can Mix The True with The False.
We need To Bind This Serpent Spirit, Cast It Out, and for every Scripture Preacher And Teacher to Discern this Spirit and close the church doors to its Occult Operations. 🖤💥🖤💥🖤💥🖤💥🖤💥🖤💥🖤💥🖤💥🖤 Scriptural passages that do mention stuff like shaking, crying, laughing, and so on cannot be interpreted into the “fruits” that MASHIACH speaks about since fruits rather refers to acts of repentance (LUKE 3) and Spiritual fruits like love, joy and peace (GALATIONS) Scriptures DO show how False Spirits Mimic The RUACH HAQODESH (Set-Apart (Holy) Spirit), like when Pharaoh’s Wizards turned their staffs into Snakes just like Moses did through The Power Of YHWH. If you just focus on the outer appearance you can Mix The True with The False. 🖤💥🖤💥🖤💥🖤💥🖤💥🖤💥🖤💥🖤💥🖤 🟧🟧🟧🟧🟧 EVE OR CHAWAH 🟧🟧🟧🟧🟧 🟧 OUR HEBREW HERITAGE GREAT INSIGHT 🟧 🟧 THE SECRETS REVEALED FOR END-TIME 🟧 🟧🟧🟧 CLICK BELOW AND ENJOY 🟧🟧🟧 🟧🟧🟧🟧🟧🟧🟧🟧🟧🟧🟧🟧🟧🟧🟧🟧🟧 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0atCYFIh96U&list=PUCqes8d_T4YBRxnQWAE4I-A&index=34 🟧🟧🟧🟧🟧🟧🟧🟧🟧🟧🟧🟧🟧🟧🟧🟧🟧 .#
