    THE MIRACULOUS FILLINGS FROM GOD

    A WORD FROM THE WORD:

    "And he said, Thus saith the LORD, Make this valley full of ditches. For thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts." 2 Kings 3:16-17 KJV.

    From the context of our foundational Scripture we saw that Jehoshaphat the King of Judah, in alliance with King Jehoram of Israel, were stranded in the wilderness with their troops, who could not find any water as they prepared for war against Edom. They were afraid that severe thirst would kill them and their men even before the fight with Edom. They consulted Elisha the prophet of God who got a word from God for them.

    What was needed was water, it did not matter whether it will come without rain or without a river providing it. There are miraculous things that will happen for those who know how to seek God and follow His direction. God wants to instruct and direct His children. He says 'I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.' (Psalm 32:8 ESV).

    As you listen to Him, He will guide you into outstanding results, even if it requires breaking protocols.

    PRAYER BULLETS:

    ABBA Father, thank You for Your promises. Guide me, O Shepherd of my soul into the miraculous, even to the breaking of protocols.

    FURTHER READING:

    Isaiah 48:17; Proverbs 3:5-6; Ephesians 3:20.

  • HOW TO KNOW GOD'S WILL FOR IMPORTANT DECISIONS IN YOUR LIFE. Part 5 of 6.
    How God Makes Known His Will for Specific Decisions and Needs. Continued.
    God is under no obligation to fulfill the promise in James 1:5 to give us wisdom unless we are willing to meet the conditions for obtaining it. Moreover, God declares that He only answers prayer when the motive is right, and that mere asking is not sufficient (Jam. 4:3). Frequently the Christian prays for guidance, or a revelation of God's will about some matter, but already has his mind made up as to what he wants to do, or how he would like for God to answer. Some people have been known to lie awake all night pleading with God to answer their prayer with no higher motive than the desire to persuade Him to come over to their side and give them their own way.

    Therefore, it is just as great a fallacy to emphasize the notion which is so popular today that prayer is the solution to all our problems, as it is to neglect prayer, using it only in an emergency. That is to say, we find the unscriptural idea being promoted on every hand that mere prayer is supposed to be the panacea for all our needs. In every time of crisis, when problems or troubles arise, when a difficult or seemingly impossible situation confronts us, the first thing most people advise is prayer.

    "Have you tried prayer?" they will ask. Or we are told, quite sincerely, "Did you know, prayer changes things?" They do not tell us, of course, just how prayer will change things, nor do they
    teach us how to pray about the problem confronting us. We are not advised, furthermore, as to whether or not God requires anything from us in the matter. "Just pray" we are told, "for prayer usually helps."

    However, as we have seen, God clearly states that He does not answer every prayer, in fact, He emphatically declares that He does not even hear our prayers unless they meet the conditions
    He has set forth in His Word. One of the most important conditions we must meet when asking for divine wisdom and guidance is that we must ask in faith, believing, without any reservations, that God will answer our request. This is clearly stated in James 1:5-7: "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraids not; and it shall be given him. But how? Let him ask in faith, nothing doubting; for he that doubts is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord."

    The prayer of faith is simply a prayer of expectation. What God tells us here in James 1:5-7 is that when we ask for divine wisdom and guidance we should pray expecting Him to grant
    our desire.
    Moreover, the prayer of faith is to be offered but once, for Jesus tells us in Mark 11:24, 'What things soever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them." Faith asks but once for God to fulfill a promise. To continue to pray, pleading with God to answer, is our confession that I do not really believe that He has answered when we pray as He tells us to do (Mark 11:24).

    In view of this fact, if we pray ten times for the same promise, we have prayed nine times in unbelief, for faith knows when to stop praying about the promise and start praising God for the
    answer. There is a time to stop praying or you will pray yourself out of faith. When is this? You should always stop praying for a promise when you believe you have received the answer. Since
    Jesus tells us to believe we have received when we pray, quite obviously we should do our believing and receiving when we pray. Then we should cease praying for the answer and begin
    praising God that the manifestation of the answer is on the way.

    Jesus does not say in Mark 11:24 that the symptoms will improve immediately when we pray, or that the circumstances will show immediate change, but that we are to believe that He has both heard and granted our petition when we pray and that we shall have it. Faith keeps a distinction between accepting the answer and receiving it to our sight. We are to accept the answer when we pray (believe that God has granted our petition), and we shall have it (manifested to our sight). Merely because we do not see it immediately does not mean that God has not heard our petition and granted the answer, but only that He has not manifested the answer as yet.

    The question often arises concerning the widow and the judge in Luke 18, as to whether or not Jesus here approves of repetition in prayer for the same thing. This is not, however, an instance of repetition prayer, for Jesus would not contradict Himself elsewhere, but here He is stressing the need of persistence and perseverance in prayer; that is, holding onto a promise by faith, reaffirming daily, by praise and thanksgiving, that we believe that He has heard and granted our petition. In Matthew 6:7-8, Jesus condemns repetition prayer as typical of the prayers of
    the heathen, saying, "But when you pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking," but "when you pray believe that you receive" (Mk. 11:24).

    Our first concern, therefore, when guidance from heaven is needed is not merely to resort to the shallow suggestion we so often hear today that one should "try prayer" as it may help, but
    it should be a time of searching the Word, and then our hearts, to see if we are fulfilling the conditions for God hearing our prayers and granting our petitions.

    As A. W. Tower once remarked, the popular notion that God always answers prayer (with "yes" or "no") is a device of Satan to deceive the carnal or indifferent Christian whose request was not answered because of his failure to meet God's conditions. To think that God always answers prayer, even if He says "no," is to take God's refusal to answer a disobedient Christian as the answer itself, contending, "Well, after all, God did answer me - He said 'no'." Such a view of prayer is contrary to Scripture, for God clearly states that He does not even hear those prayers which are not in harmony with His will (1 Jn 5:14-15; Ps. 66:18). Moreover, if an individual erroneously believes the popular notion that God always answers any prayer, and that "no" can also be an answer, then this person is never challenged to face the fact that his failure to receive an answer was due to his disobedience, lack of faith, or his failure to meet some other condition.

    I can personally testify to the fact that when we are careful to meet the scriptural requirements, then God delights in directing our steps, giving divine guidance and wisdom concerning those
    matters we place before Him. Thank God it is true, if any man lacks wisdom he may ask of
    God and it shall be given to him. Do you need wisdom or guidance in some important matter?
    Have you tried asking God, and in faith expecting Him to answer you? You are invited to do so in James 1:5.

    By Direct Revelation;
    As stated at the beginning of Chapter 2, there are eight scriptural methods by which God's will is revealed - three are active, in which we take the initiative, and five are passive, whereby we become the recipients of divine revelation concerning God's will for us. Passive revelation always comes to us unsought.

    Direct revelation may be either by vision, as in the case of Paul's vision in Acts 16 which was revelation of God's will for him to carry the Gospel into Europe; by direct voice, as seen in the case of God's call of Samuel (1 Sam. 3); by angelic visitation, as, for example, in the angel's visit to Mary and his revelation to her of the birth of Christ; or by dream, as we find, for instance in God's revelation to Daniel of the establishment of His Kingdom (Dan. 7).

    Jesus promised to continue revelation to the Church after His ascension, saying, Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak; and he will show you things to come (Jn. 16:13).
    When the Church lost the experience of the baptism in the Holy Spirit, she closed the channel and source of revelation. As a consequence, the Church changed her theology to conform
    with her experience, and there arose the erroneous concept that God purposed that all revelation was to cease with the apostles in the first century. It is interesting that there is not a word in the Scriptures to support this theory, but, on the contrary, God clearly states in 2 Corinthians 12-14 and Ephesians 4:11 that He has set in the church the gifts and ministries of revelation. In Romans 12:3-6 and 1 Corinthians 14 He admonishes us to ask for and use the gift of prophecy. In Joel 2 He clearly promises that in the last days "I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams" (2:17); While He promised in John 16:13, quoted above, to continue revelation to the Church through the Holy Spirit whom He would send. The various methods by which He would give His people direct revelation are stated to be by means of prophecy, vision and dream (Num. 12:6; Acts 2:17-18; 1Cor. 12; 14), by direct voice and vision (Jn. 16:13), "speak"' and "show" and on occasion, by angelic visitation (e.g. Luke 1; Acts 10:12; 27:23-24; cf. Heb. 13:2).

    It is important that we understand that although God occasionally uses each of the passive methods of revelation to unveil His will to us when He so chooses, we should not seek guidance by these means.

    Why does God choose the direct means of revelation, as, for example, through visions and dreams as a method of communication of His will and purpose? Why does He not merely illumine our minds as to His will as we pray or read His Word seeking guidance?

    Among other reasons, occasionally He must speak directly to us because of the urgency of the matter about which we are seeking guidance which must be dealt with immediately, or in a certain way, often contrary to what our wisdom and logic might tell us to do. At other times He speaks directly, imparting instruction or guidance, not concerning some matter about which we are praying, but about some important purpose which He wants to accomplish in or through us, which could only be made known to us by direct revelation. Again He speaks to us in visions for the obvious reason that one picture is worth a thousand words.

    God sometimes communicates His will to us through dreams, inasmuch as the state of sleep has certain definite advantages. At this time the conscious mind is at rest and is free from distractions. The spirit, of course, remains awake and can accept without analyzing and questioning what God desires to impart to us. Moreover, through the medium of vision and dream God can impress upon us revelation which transcends the sense realm and the ability of the intellect alone to comprehend. In some instances, God speaks directly in an audible voice
    in order to instruct us or reveal His will in some matter.

    By Indirect Revelation:
    God speaks to us occasionally by direct means, but generally He communicates His will to us indirectly. It may in the form of an inward knowing or witness in our spirit, or it may come as an inner witness to our spirit, or it may come as an inner witness from the Holy Spirit. At other times the Holy Spirit may give the guidance we need by the illumination of our minds to understand and interpret some portions of scripture which He will direct us to, or by giving the necessary wisdom and insight we require to make the correct decision concerning some matter about which we have prayed for direction.

    It is in the realm of indirect revelation that the importance of being completely yielded to the Holy Spirit is so evident, as was pointed out in the first chapter. To the extent one is yielded to the Spirit will he be sensitive to His voice when He speaks, and to the extent one is sensitive to His voice will he be able to respond. Moreover, there are many voices seeking to influence the believer, some of which are from God and some are not. Unless one is fully yielded he may be insensitive to the voice of the Spirit, or be deceived and ensnared by that which is false. A small puppy will respond to anyone who calls or offers it a crust of bread, but a well trained mature dog will not do so. It is sensitive only to the voice of its owner. It did not get this way by spending all its time running and playing with the other dogs, but it is the result of devoting long hours in discipline and training, learning to obey and respond to the voice of its master. We become sensitive to the influence and leading of the Spirit in the same manner.

    God is preparing His children for spiritual warfare ahead which will consist of men and women who will be so sensitive to the voice of the Spirit they will respond immediately and obey without question. Like a computer, they will be able to filter out that which is false and sense any error immediately. They will not have to call the pastor and ask if this or that doctrine is scriptural, or whether the prophecy which they heard is true or false, or whether or not some task they feel led to undertake is from God, the flesh, or the devil. However, the only way the believer will become sensitive will be through total consecration to Jesus and fully yielding to the Spirit.

    At present we find Christians so untrained in the Scriptures and so insensitive to the voice of the Spirit that many frequently will reject what God is saying and allow themselves to be deceived by that which is false and unscriptural, just as Jesus predicted would occur in these last days (Matt 24; 2 Tim 4:1-4). Again and again we are hearing of those who are falling victim to various errors, such as ultimate reconciliation where God will save everyone regardless if they repent or not including the devil and his demons, false hyper-grace gospel where a Christian does not need to confess sin after he is saved or does not need repentance to stay in fellowship with God, errors on the Godhead where they deny that the Father, Son, Holy Spirit are co-eternal and co-equal, once saved always saved that it does not matter how a person lives his life after salvation, we are all sinners even after salvation and no need to live a consecrated life, the give to get carnal prosperity gospel where you give me money and 100 fold comes back so you will be rich. Or the heresy taught by some that Jesus had to become a sinner on the cross to redeem us and suffered three days in hell tormented by demons.

    We find others, in a time where we are witnessing the revival of all forms of the occult, being deluded by believing everything supernatural is from heaven, and everyone who prophesies, has a vision, or predicts the future is from God. We find men and women calling themselves Apostles and Prophets commonly now who were never appointed or anointed from heaven but self-appointed deceiving many. As Jesus said, take heed lest YOU be deceived. (Matt 24:4)

    DISCERNING THE VOICE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
    AND RECOGNIZING THE WITNESS WITHIN;

    In order to mature in faith and become effective instruments in God's hands so that we will be in the right place at the right time, doing the right thing, it is necessary for us to learn how to
    recognize the inner witness of the Spirit, as well as discern the voice of the Holy Spirit. These are the two basic ways by which God leads and directs His people, whether in answer to some prayer for guidance, or in order to fulfill His will and purpose in their lives. We find that God frequently endeavors to speak to His people by means of the voice of His Spirit in order to
    direct guide, teach, or influence them along some line, but since they have not been taught how to discern His voice He often goes unheeded. Jesus said, "My sheep hear my voice and they follow me" Jn. 10:27). How can they follow Him if they do not know how to discern His voice? He certainly did not mean that He intended to shout down out of heaven in order to direct them, but He did promise that He would speak to them by His Spirit which would be within them: "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you in all truth" (John 16:13), and "he shall teach you in all things" (14:26).

    Some Christians are waiting for God to give them a revelation through a vision or prophecy concerning His will for them, or regarding some important matter about which they are praying,
    when, if they only realized it, God is already trying to communicate His will to them by His Spirit within them. If they would spend a little more time in His Word and in prayer, and be willing to get still before Him for a while, then they would begin to discern His voice and hear Him speaking inwardly to their spirits.

    The inner voice of the Holy Spirit is the voice of God speaking directly to your spirit in order to guide, admonish, teach, warn, or influence you concerning some matter (about which you may or may not be praying).

    God also enables us to know His will regarding some matter about which we are praying, or about some question which concerns us, by means of a witness within. This is an inward
    knowing in your spirit that a certain contemplated action on your part, or some doctrine, or revelation, for example, is right or wrong. Not only is the Christian the temple of the Holy Spirit,
    Who abides within to speak the direct revelation of God's will to him (Jn 16:13; 1 Cor. 2:10-13), but he also has, by virtue of the new birth, a new heart to discern spiritual things himself, and know the will of God intuitively by his own spirit (1 Cor. 2:14-16). He has received an anointing which abides in him and teaches him all things (1 Jn. 2:27).

    Thus, we find that it is also through his own enlightened spirit that the Christian is able by an inward knowing or witness to discern whether or not something is right or wrong. Let us say, for example, that you are praying about some matter about which you must make a decision, such as whether or not to buy a certain piece of property, marry a particular individual, or accept an invitation to speak to some religious group. If after thinking and praying about the question you find that inwardly there is a positive confirmation in your spirit to go ahead in the matter, or, you find that you experience a sense of uncertainty, reluctance, or heaviness of spirit, then this is an inner witness in your spirit informing you of God's will in the matter.

    In the former instance, your spirit was witnessing to you to go ahead, and in the latter, it was a warning not to take the proposed action. The witness within is an inward knowing intuitively, through the enlightened spirit of a Christian, that a certain contemplated action, a doctrine, some individual, or a ministry, for instance, is right or wrong, whereas the inner voice of the Holy Spirit is God speaking directly by His Spirit within you concerning some matter. It must be stressed, however, that the inward witness and the inner voice of the Spirit are not merely some "feeling" we may have about a matter. They have nothing to do with what one feels either with the physical senses or the emotions. It is either an inward knowing (inner witness) that something is right or wrong, or it is an inner awareness that the Spirit of God is speaking directly to our spirit about some matter (inner voice of the Spirit). ❤️HOW TO KNOW GOD'S WILL FOR IMPORTANT DECISIONS IN YOUR LIFE. Part 5 of 6. How God Makes Known His Will for Specific Decisions and Needs. Continued. God is under no obligation to fulfill the promise in James 1:5 to give us wisdom unless we are willing to meet the conditions for obtaining it. In some instances, God speaks directly in an audible voice in order to instruct us or reveal His will in some matter. By Indirect Revelation: God speaks to us occasionally by direct means, but generally He communicates His will to us indirectly. (Matt 24:4) DISCERNING THE VOICE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND RECOGNIZING THE WITNESS WITHIN; In order to mature in faith and become effective instruments in God's hands so that we will be in the right place at the right time, doing the right thing, it is necessary for us to learn how to recognize the inner witness of the Spirit, as well as discern the voice of the Holy Spirit. These are the two basic ways by which God leads and directs His people, whether in answer to some prayer for guidance, or in order to fulfill His will and purpose in their lives. We find that God frequently endeavors to speak to His people by means of the voice of His Spirit in order to direct guide, teach, or influence them along some line, but since they have not been taught how to discern His voice He often goes unheeded. Some Christians are waiting for God to give them a revelation through a vision or prophecy concerning His will for them, or regarding some important matter about which they are praying, when, if they only realized it, God is already trying to communicate His will to them by His Spirit within them. This is an inward knowing in your spirit that a certain contemplated action on your part, or some doctrine, or revelation, for example, is right or wrong. Not only is the Christian the temple of the Holy Spirit, Who abides within to speak the direct revelation of God's will to him (Jn 16:13; 1 Cor. Edited. Shared. To be Continued. ❤️ God willing, more will be posted soon. All glory to Jesus alone.

  • Good morning, brethren.
    1. Morning devotion for today.

    MD.i. MORNING TEA
    THE WORD FOR TODAY
    WEDNESDAY AUGUST 5, 2O26.
    "YOU CAN CARRY GOD’S PRESENCE WITH YOU (1)"

    ‘The poles…are not to be removed.’ Exodus 25:15 NIV

    THE ARK of the Covenant represented the presence of God in the midst of His people. When the Philistines captured it, they were smitten with tumours. When they placed it in their temple, their god Dagon fell to the ground (1 Samuel 5). The moral of this story is—don’t mess around with the things of God! Even if you are not prepared to serve God; at least be wise and revere Him. When Israel conquered the Philistines, David decided to bring the Ark, the symbol of God’s presence, back home to Jerusalem. Now, when God designed the Ark, He put rings on the side of it, and poles through those rings, saying it must only be carried on the shoulders of special priests. But somebody thought of ‘a better way,’ so they put it on a new cart pulled by an ox. And that’s when everything went wrong. When the Ark started to slip off the cart, a well-meaning bystander decided to steady it. And he died for it! You say, ‘That’s pretty extreme.’ There’s a lesson here for those who want to package God’s presence, market it, and ‘take it on the road.’ Who is qualified to carry God’s presence? Only believer-priests who have been cleansed by the blood of the Lamb, are washed by the Word at the laver, who fellowship with God at His table, who worship Him at the altar of incense, and who walk in the light of truth represented by the seven-branched lampstand. Away with newfangled carts! ‘…the Lord added to the church…’ (Acts 2:47 NKJV). If we are going to carry God’s presence and build His church, we’ve got to do it His way.

    ```KEY VERSE:``` _*"And he that beareth the carcase of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: they are unclean unto you" (LEVITICUS 11:28).*_
    *Leonard Syme, a professor of epidemiology at the University of California at Berkeley, indicates the importance of social ties and social support systems in relationship to mortality and disease rates. He simply underscores the saying that attack is the best defence. Defiant posture to defilements regardless the form or the size is the panacea for living holy.*
    *This is the gem in the seemingly extensive and meticulous dietary regulation outlined in our passage, which serves a crucial purpose beyond maintaining physical health. To the Israelites, it was a constant reminder to their distinct identity and calling on one hand and a perpetual prompt to seek holiness and live in constant obedience to God in all aspects of life on the other hand. In the same way, believers today are called to maintain a distinct identity in the world. Our lives must be marked by holiness, obedience, and respect for God's commandments.*
    *Our text, on the surface, sets forth the dietary restrictions on fowls or birds (Leviticus 11:13b-19) and flying insects (Leviticus 11:19-23), but at a deeper level they are part of a larger tapestry of holiness and obedience to God's laws.*
    *The hallmark of this dietary law is the indelible imprint of God's work in them and the call to live lives directed by God. The regulation constantly reminds the Israelites that they are a different and separate people who should by no means live the same way or share common values with the surrounding nations. As the distinction exists between clean and unclean animals, birds or creeping creatures so is there an uncompromisable difference between the Israel of God and other nations. Their food choices reflect this consecrated, holy identity.*
    *How this speaks to you, the "ecclesia", called out one today. If you are saved, your only option is to be separated to live holily before the Lord Who saved you: "But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy" (1 Peter 1:15, 16). These detailed and seemingly complicated instructions underscore the place of God's amazing grace and the unmerited favour He shows to us by His covenant loving-kindness.*
    Helping others is an important aspect of Christian fellowship. Jesus set the perfect example by healing the sick, comforting the brokenhearted and providing for those who were in need.
    Christ's life was dedicated to serving others, showing us that true love is found in selfless acts of kindness and compassion. When we help others, we are following Christ's command to love our neighbours as ourselves.
    Serving others does not always require big gestures. Sometimes, it is the small things that matter most; like a kind word, a listening ear, or sharing what we have. These simple acts can make a big difference in someone's life and show Christ's love in powerful ways.
    *By helping others, we not only fulfill God's command, but we also make the world a better place. Our service becomes a living example of God's love, drawing others closer to Jesus. Through these actions, we share the hope and grace that He offers, and in doing so, we become vessels of His love in the world.*
    *BEYOND GOOD AND BALANCED DIET*
    *TEXT:* LEVITICUS 11:13-28.
    13 And these are they which ye shall have in abomination among the fowls; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,
    14 And the vulture, and the kite after his kind;
    15 Every raven after his kind;
    16 And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind,
    17 And the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl,
    18 And the swan, and the pelican, and the gier eagle,
    19 And the stork, the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.
    20 All fowls that creep, going upon all four, shall be an abomination unto you.
    21 Yet these may ye eat of every flying creeping thing that goeth upon all four, which have legs above their feet, to leap withal upon the earth;
    22 Even these of them ye may eat; the locust after his kind, and the bald locust after his kind, and the beetle after his kind, and the grasshopper after his kind.
    23 But all other flying creeping things, which have four feet, shall be an abomination unto you.
    24 And for these ye shall be unclean: whosoever toucheth the carcase of them shall be unclean until the even.
    25 And whosoever beareth ought of the carcase of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even.
    26 The carcases of every beast which divideth the hoof, and is not clovenfooted, nor cheweth the cud, are unclean unto you: every one that toucheth them shall be unclean.
    27 And whatsoever goeth upon his paws, among all manner of beasts that go on all four, those are unclean unto you: whoso toucheth their carcase shall be unclean until the even.
    28 And he that beareth the carcase of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: they are unclean unto you.
    *Timeless Truth:*_"Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ"_ (Colossians 2:16,17).
    *INTRODUCTION*
    It is doubtful if there is any generation different from ours who is better exposed to the principle of healthy living through a good and appropriate diet. This is possible through newest and advanced, though progressive, scientific discoveries especially, from nutritional scientists. Ignoring their advise and instructions is suicidal against healthy living and longevity. A healthy spirit in an unhealthy and weak body cannot be at its best spiritually. Does God care about what we eat? God is the greatest nutritional scientist since He created those animals and knows them more than anybody else. The dietary laws in the text were primarily directed to Israel as part of the Mosaic law which are not binding for those in the new covenant. However, beyond dietary rules, these rules are meant to pass across deeper truths as they are shadows of things to come in the New Testament (Colossians 2:16,17).
    *1. Dietary Laws*
    a. In order to get honey from the rock, there must be willingness and determination to pay the price of diligently digging hard. The same with the old covenant which is a shadow of the new. Due diligence must be given so as to eat and digest the meat of the Word which is beyond the milk of the Word.
    b. The chapter can be categorized for better understanding.
    i.Land-living mammals that can be eaten and those that cannot be eaten are given in Leviticus 11:1-8.
    God gave these laws to the children of Israel. Did God create any animal to be unclean? The New Testament says NO. *"I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean."* God just decided to make that temporary classification to teach some lessons as divine revelations were evolving. When God created animals, *"God saw that it was good"* (Genesis 1:25). Would something unclean be good to God? The classification was revealed in the days of Noah when there was a distinction between clean and unclean animals (Genesis 7:2, 8:20) for the purpose of sacrifice. The first law God gave to humanity had to do with what could and could not be eaten. Was the fruit that was not to be eaten unclean. NO. It was a good fruit from a good tree, but God classified it as forbidden to test their obedience. So these laws were given to Israel as a test of their obedience and separation to God.
    ii.Water creatures that cannot be eaten and those that cannot be eaten are listed in Leviticus 11:9-12. Under these dietary laws given to Israel, the unclean water creatures were to be regarded as an abomination and could not be eaten.
    iii.Birds and other flying things that can and cannot be eaten are listed in Leviticus 11:13-19.
    There was no rule given to determine if a bird was clean or unclean. Instead, specific birds (twenty in all) are mentioned as being unclean and therefore forbidden for eating.The common thread through most of these birds is that they are either predators or scavengers which, apart from killing fellow creatures, have the tendency to drink their blood.
    iii. Insects that can and cannot be eaten are listed in Leviticus 11:20-23. Good examples of clean insects include the locust, the cricket and the grasshopper. All these unclean creatures can be touched when they are alive except that they must not be eaten. We can relate with sinners without getting polluted with their sins. If the carcass of any of the unclean is touched either deliberately or accidentally, the person and their clothes become unclean and must perform some ceremonially purifying rituals. *"And for these ye shall be unclean: whosoever toucheth the carcase of them shall be unclean until the even"*. The evening was referring to the time of their evening sacrifice. *"And whosoever beareth ought of the carcase of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even"*.
    *Question*
    Check the list for those animals and birds that were unclean then, but are freely eaten now by believers and man in general.
    *2. Definite Lessons*
    a.It has been established that no creature of God is created unclean. The classification was temporary to pass across some eternal messages. Eternal divine messages are difficult to comprehend by the natural man. The concept of the innocent coming to die for the wicked is not natural. It is the other way around. A kind of mercy that will declare the guilty not just forgiven and stands before God as though he had never sinned and a saint is beyond human comprehension. This is called justification. How do you reconcile justice and mercy? What about the concept of grace that will make God forget committed sins to the point that He would not be able to remember again? God in His wisdom decided to use natural and visible things in the Old Testament to shadow reality in the New Testament so that those concepts will be readily understood by mankind. And it worked.
    b. The emphasis in the text is more of moral uncleanness rather than medical uncleanness. It teaches that there is moral cleanness and moral uncleanness and they cannot mix. Moral uncleanness is not just divine hatred, it is an abomination to God of which the judgment is capital or eternal damnation. The fact that unclean animals cannot be sacrificed is indicative of the fact that God only accepts the sacrifices and the services of those that are holy and clean. *"Be ye holy for I am holy"*. This is reasonable. If you have a delicious meal, but notice a small and an "insignificant" quantity of human excreta in the food, will you eat it? If you are very hungry and you see an exposed loaf of bread in a dustbin of all kinds of rotten things, will you pick the bread and eat? If you are interviewing a person for a good job and you notice the person tells "small, small lies", will you employ the person? At times man pushes to God what he himself cannot accept or tolerate. Will you blame God if He is angry at your unholy sacrifice, service and actions? There is also the law of "don't touch" a dead animal or you become unclean. This is the law of total separation from uncleanness and peddlers of uncleanness. *"Come out from among them and be ye separate"*. Jesus Christ, in mind, motive and every area, was separate from sinners. Even when He physically interacted, it was to shine the light to them and minister the truth to them. *"Abstain from all appearance of evil"*. The defiled shall be unclean till the even or evening sacrifice.It was time an innocent animal was slain for the sin of the whole nation on a daily basis. It shows that forgiveness comes through atonement by the blood. The fact that he must also wash himself with water is an indication that there must be personal responsibility in addition to the atonement. The sinner must apply the washing of water by the Word of God to wash his mindset, heart, attitude and actions and be presentable to God as a holy vessel. The fact that some food is forbidden is a test of our obedience and self control. It is not everybody we befriend or relate with. There must be self discipline.
    *Question*
    What other lessons can you learn? Do you depart from uncleanness and all unclean people? In addition to the atonement, do you do your part by opening up your heart and mind for the Word of God to clean on a daily basis?
    *Prayer Points*
    1.Praise God for His wisdom in making spiritual truths to be comprehensive to all seekers .
    2.Ask God for more understanding of deep mysteries of the Word of God and the gospel .
    3.Offer your heart and life to God afresh and ask for total cleansing from all defilements .
    4.Pray that the messages of holiness will go beyond our heads, but permeate through our hearts to true holiness .
    2. Morning prayer for today.
    MD.ii. Morning Prayer
    To the chief Musician for the sons of Korah, A Song upon Alamoth. God [is] our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. ⏤ Psalm 46:1
    God does nothing but by prayer, and everything with it. ⏤ John Wesley
    Gracious Father, we come to You at the start of this new day, seeking Your blessing. We thank You for the rest we’ve had through the night. We laid down, slept, and woke up again because You sustained us. We will not fear any opposition because You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble.
    Now, our Father, send us out into the new day on new missions. We want to take our directions from You. Help us to keep Your commandments. Cleanse us from hidden faults and sins; keep us from falling into willful sin. You are able to keep us from falling—we commit our souls to Your holy care. Deliver us from the Evil One. We have no power to stand against his cunning attacks, so we trust our souls to You, our faithful Creator and Friend. Save us from the Tempter.
    We ask that You make us strong for our duties today. We have many things to do that will require wisdom and perseverance. Give us the strength that comes from victory in struggle. Equip us to do good at home—showing love and care for one another. May our home be filled with Your rich blessings. Let nothing disrupt our love for each other or harm our fellowship. Help us to grow in love that is sincere, patient, thoughtful, and kind. May we continue to learn the lessons of love better and better.
    May the light from our home shine out, showing others how to live more sweetly. May Your grace be upon us in proportion to our need, filling our hearts and lives, and preparing us for every experience we may face today. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
But somebody thought of ‘a better way,’ so they put it on a new cart pulled by an ox. And that’s when everything went wrong. When the Ark started to slip off the cart, a well-meaning bystander decided to steady it. And he died for it! You say, ‘That’s pretty extreme.’ There’s a lesson here for those who want to package God’s presence, market it, and ‘take it on the road.’ Who is qualified to carry God’s presence? Only believer-priests who have been cleansed by the blood of the Lamb, are washed by the Word at the laver, who fellowship with God at His table, who worship Him at the altar of incense, and who walk in the light of truth represented by the seven-branched lampstand. Away with newfangled carts! ‘…the Lord added to the church…’ (Acts 2:47 NKJV). If we are going to carry God’s presence and build His church, we’ve got to do it His way. To the Israelites, it was a constant reminder to their distinct identity and calling on one hand and a perpetual prompt to seek holiness and live in constant obedience to God in all aspects of life on the other hand. In the same way, believers today are called to maintain a distinct identity in the world. Our lives must be marked by holiness, obedience, and respect for God's commandments.* *Our text, on the surface, sets forth the dietary restrictions on fowls or birds (Leviticus 11:13b-19) and flying insects (Leviticus 11:19-23), but at a deeper level they are part of a larger tapestry of holiness and obedience to God's laws.* *The hallmark of this dietary law is the indelible imprint of God's work in them and the call to live lives directed by God. The regulation constantly reminds the Israelites that they are a different and separate people who should by no means live the same way or share common values with the surrounding nations. As the distinction exists between clean and unclean animals, birds or creeping creatures so is there an uncompromisable difference between the Israel of God and other nations. Their food choices reflect this consecrated, holy identity.* *How this speaks to you, the "ecclesia", called out one today. Jesus set the perfect example by healing the sick, comforting the brokenhearted and providing for those who were in need. Christ's life was dedicated to serving others, showing us that true love is found in selfless acts of kindness and compassion. When we help others, we are following Christ's command to love our neighbours as ourselves. Serving others does not always require big gestures. Sometimes, it is the small things that matter most; like a kind word, a listening ear, or sharing what we have. These simple acts can make a big difference in someone's life and show Christ's love in powerful ways. *By helping others, we not only fulfill God's command, but we also make the world a better place. Our service becomes a living example of God's love, drawing others closer to Jesus. Through these actions, we share the hope and grace that He offers, and in doing so, we become vessels of His love in the world.* 🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥 ```🅿️rayer:``` _*Lord, guide me to help others, showing Your love through my actions and words.*_ 🙏🏽 ```📖 Further Reading:``` *Matthew 25:35-40* A Helper To Others https://dailymanna.app// *TXD [THEXDEVOTIONALS] on Twitter* *#SincereMilk5thAugust2026* *#GCK* *#WorshipNuggets* *#BibleNuggets* *#LeadershipNuggets* *#RevivalNuggets* *#CrusadeNuggets* https://www.youtube.com/[THEXDEVOTIONALS] [04/08, 9:32 pm] Pastor Attah: *MEDITATIONS ON DAILY ⓂANNA* WEDNESDAY, 5TH AUGUST, 2026. *BEYOND GOOD AND BALANCED DIET* *TEXT:* LEVITICUS 11:13-28. 13 And these are they which ye shall have in abomination among the fowls; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray, 14 And the vulture, and the kite after his kind; 15 Every raven after his kind; 16 And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind, 17 And the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl, 18 And the swan, and the pelican, and the gier eagle, 19 And the stork, the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat. 20 All fowls that creep, going upon all four, shall be an abomination unto you. 21 Yet these may ye eat of every flying creeping thing that goeth upon all four, which have legs above their feet, to leap withal upon the earth; 22 Even these of them ye may eat; the locust after his kind, and the bald locust after his kind, and the beetle after his kind, and the grasshopper after his kind. 23 But all other flying creeping things, which have four feet, shall be an abomination unto you. 24 And for these ye shall be unclean: whosoever toucheth the carcase of them shall be unclean until the even. 25 And whosoever beareth ought of the carcase of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even. 26 The carcases of every beast which divideth the hoof, and is not clovenfooted, nor cheweth the cud, are unclean unto you: every one that toucheth them shall be unclean. 27 And whatsoever goeth upon his paws, among all manner of beasts that go on all four, those are unclean unto you: whoso toucheth their carcase shall be unclean until the even. 28 And he that beareth the carcase of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: they are unclean unto you. *Timeless Truth:*_"Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ"_ (Colossians 2:16,17). *INTRODUCTION* It is doubtful if there is any generation different from ours who is better exposed to the principle of healthy living through a good and appropriate diet. This is possible through newest and advanced, though progressive, scientific discoveries especially, from nutritional scientists. Ignoring their advise and instructions is suicidal against healthy living and longevity. A healthy spirit in an unhealthy and weak body cannot be at its best spiritually. Does God care about what we eat? God is the greatest nutritional scientist since He created those animals and knows them more than anybody else. The dietary laws in the text were primarily directed to Israel as part of the Mosaic law which are not binding for those in the new covenant. However, beyond dietary rules, these rules are meant to pass across deeper truths as they are shadows of things to come in the New Testament (Colossians 2:16,17). *1. Dietary Laws* a. In order to get honey from the rock, there must be willingness and determination to pay the price of diligently digging hard. The same with the old covenant which is a shadow of the new. Due diligence must be given so as to eat and digest the meat of the Word which is beyond the milk of the Word. b. The chapter can be categorized for better understanding. i.Land-living mammals that can be eaten and those that cannot be eaten are given in Leviticus 11:1-8. God gave these laws to the children of Israel. Did God create any animal to be unclean? The New Testament says NO. *"I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean."* God just decided to make that temporary classification to teach some lessons as divine revelations were evolving. When God created animals, *"God saw that it was good"* (Genesis 1:25). Would something unclean be good to God? The classification was revealed in the days of Noah when there was a distinction between clean and unclean animals (Genesis 7:2, 8:20) for the purpose of sacrifice. The first law God gave to humanity had to do with what could and could not be eaten. Was the fruit that was not to be eaten unclean. NO. It was a good fruit from a good tree, but God classified it as forbidden to test their obedience. So these laws were given to Israel as a test of their obedience and separation to God. ii.Water creatures that cannot be eaten and those that cannot be eaten are listed in Leviticus 11:9-12. Under these dietary laws given to Israel, the unclean water creatures were to be regarded as an abomination and could not be eaten. iii.Birds and other flying things that can and cannot be eaten are listed in Leviticus 11:13-19. There was no rule given to determine if a bird was clean or unclean. Instead, specific birds (twenty in all) are mentioned as being unclean and therefore forbidden for eating.The common thread through most of these birds is that they are either predators or scavengers which, apart from killing fellow creatures, have the tendency to drink their blood. iii. Insects that can and cannot be eaten are listed in Leviticus 11:20-23. Good examples of clean insects include the locust, the cricket and the grasshopper. All these unclean creatures can be touched when they are alive except that they must not be eaten. We can relate with sinners without getting polluted with their sins. If the carcass of any of the unclean is touched either deliberately or accidentally, the person and their clothes become unclean and must perform some ceremonially purifying rituals. *"And for these ye shall be unclean: whosoever toucheth the carcase of them shall be unclean until the even"*. The evening was referring to the time of their evening sacrifice. *"And whosoever beareth ought of the carcase of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even"*. *Question* Check the list for those animals and birds that were unclean then, but are freely eaten now by believers and man in general. *2. Definite Lessons* a.It has been established that no creature of God is created unclean. The classification was temporary to pass across some eternal messages. Eternal divine messages are difficult to comprehend by the natural man. The concept of the innocent coming to die for the wicked is not natural. It is the other way around. A kind of mercy that will declare the guilty not just forgiven and stands before God as though he had never sinned and a saint is beyond human comprehension. This is called justification. How do you reconcile justice and mercy? What about the concept of grace that will make God forget committed sins to the point that He would not be able to remember again? God in His wisdom decided to use natural and visible things in the Old Testament to shadow reality in the New Testament so that those concepts will be readily understood by mankind. And it worked. b. The emphasis in the text is more of moral uncleanness rather than medical uncleanness. It teaches that there is moral cleanness and moral uncleanness and they cannot mix. Moral uncleanness is not just divine hatred, it is an abomination to God of which the judgment is capital or eternal damnation. The fact that unclean animals cannot be sacrificed is indicative of the fact that God only accepts the sacrifices and the services of those that are holy and clean. *"Be ye holy for I am holy"*. This is reasonable. If you have a delicious meal, but notice a small and an "insignificant" quantity of human excreta in the food, will you eat it? If you are very hungry and you see an exposed loaf of bread in a dustbin of all kinds of rotten things, will you pick the bread and eat? If you are interviewing a person for a good job and you notice the person tells "small, small lies", will you employ the person? At times man pushes to God what he himself cannot accept or tolerate. Will you blame God if He is angry at your unholy sacrifice, service and actions? There is also the law of "don't touch" a dead animal or you become unclean. This is the law of total separation from uncleanness and peddlers of uncleanness. *"Come out from among them and be ye separate"*. Jesus Christ, in mind, motive and every area, was separate from sinners. Even when He physically interacted, it was to shine the light to them and minister the truth to them. *"Abstain from all appearance of evil"*. The defiled shall be unclean till the even or evening sacrifice.It was time an innocent animal was slain for the sin of the whole nation on a daily basis. It shows that forgiveness comes through atonement by the blood. The fact that he must also wash himself with water is an indication that there must be personal responsibility in addition to the atonement. The sinner must apply the washing of water by the Word of God to wash his mindset, heart, attitude and actions and be presentable to God as a holy vessel. The fact that some food is forbidden is a test of our obedience and self control. It is not everybody we befriend or relate with. There must be self discipline. *Question* What other lessons can you learn? Do you depart from uncleanness and all unclean people? In addition to the atonement, do you do your part by opening up your heart and mind for the Word of God to clean on a daily basis? *Prayer Points* 1.Praise God for His wisdom in making spiritual truths to be comprehensive to all seekers 🙏. 2.Ask God for more understanding of deep mysteries of the Word of God and the gospel 🙏. 3.Offer your heart and life to God afresh and ask for total cleansing from all defilements 🙏. 4.Pray that the messages of holiness will go beyond our heads, but permeate through our hearts to true holiness 🙏. *HYMN:* Wash Me O Lamb of God. *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* JOHN 10-12. 2. You are able to keep us from falling—we commit our souls to Your holy care. Deliver us from the Evil One. We have no power to stand against his cunning attacks, so we trust our souls to You, our faithful Creator and Friend. Save us from the Tempter. We ask that You make us strong for our duties today. We have many things to do that will require wisdom and perseverance. Give us the strength that comes from victory in struggle. Equip us to do good at home—showing love and care for one another. May our home be filled with Your rich blessings. Let nothing disrupt our love for each other or harm our fellowship. Help us to grow in love that is sincere, patient, thoughtful, and kind. May we continue to learn the lessons of love better and better. May the light from our home shine out, showing others how to live more sweetly. May Your grace be upon us in proportion to our need, filling our hearts and lives, and preparing us for every experience we may face today. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.     “Ash-pe-naz, in your honest judgment, do you think I will get out of this room?” the sick king asked in a shaky, sickly voice.
    “Take some water, my Lord," Ashpenaz responded. After a while Ashpenaz continued, “You will not only survive this ailment but live for many years to come. You have been faithful in your service to the people and have not failed in your commitment to the gods, and they cannot abandon you now at your hour of need.” He ended on a note that connoted confidence.
    “Nothing could be farther from the fact,” said the king in agreement. “However, ‘Is that the truth?'" He asked rhetorically and continued, “I have an army of 12,000 soldiers headed by my venturesome son and a shrine filled with gods from various nations. However, can any of these gods or soldiers stop the angel of death from striking at his time?"
    Each of his breaths was deep and heavy and seemed to be his last. He moved his body to sit in a slant position while resting his back on his pillow.
    “Ashpenaz, it’s good to be motivational and hopeful, but let’s face reality. I am going to die any moment from now, and you know that’s true," the king said unapologetically.
    He took a deeper breath and continued, “You have been loyal and faithful to me and the kingdom; you are the most trustworthy servant in my realm. That’s why I want you to listen to me carefully as I commit my last request to you.”
    Ashpenaz moved his chair closer and listened with keen interest. “Ashpenaz!” the king called emphatically with audible stress in his speech.
    “At your service, my lord,” he replied faithfully. “I am handing over my son, Nebuchadnezzar, unto your wise guidance. I want you to be a father to him. I know he’ll make an excellent king, but he’ll do better under your watch."
    "He had been on the field from his tender age and knows a great deal about battles and conquests well enough, but he hardly spends time with the Senate and the people. I want you to advise him on kingdom matters and manage-nage-ment, and also summon the senate and the royal household. I want to have a parting word with them before…"
    He was interrupted by his cough. Ashpenaz offered him another cup of water.
    Having taken the cup of water, the king tried to continue his words, but the cough watered down his strength to speak further. He coughed the entire evening and all night long; the cough persisted.
    As his custom was, Ashpenaz wasted no time in carrying out instructions; immediately, he sent out letters to each member of the senate through the Heart Watchers. A body that was once an infamous cult group that was lately drafted into the Shinar’s government as a recognized system by the king, in replacement of the popular palace messengers, on the advice of his son.
    The Heart Watchers were anonymous; it was made up of 10 ninjas and 15 secret military agents who were trained as couriers, for espionage and assassinations—it was headed by a captain.
    They were contracted only for clandestine operations and were known to operate in high secrecy, with an unbroken record of not leaving a single known trace during their operation since their inception. A popular impression about its members is that they were the reincarnation of past war legends.
  • THE ROCK AND THE ROLE
    INTRODUCTION
    THE last 8 years have been incredibly difficult for me and my family including major health issues that disabled me leaving me incapable of doing very basic things. So I was going through a trial unlike any I had before. Some of those things I can't even speak on because they are too personal and too heartbreaking.
    So when 5 years ago I caught some scenes from the show, The Chosen, I was so deeply moved by seeing the interactions between Jesus and the people, the apostles I was and continue to be in tears at these beautifully crafted scenes. I love this show for that and highly recommend the show on the basis of that alone. It was responsible for stirring a desire within me to return to God.
    But a reoccurring theme in the show reflects a rather dangerous misunderstanding based more on the Catholic teachings of the cast than on actual Scripture. It's a teaching we touched on in one of our monthly exclusive videos that are not promoted as the regular Monday and Friday videos are, but are available on my Rumble channel. This teaching comes from Matthew 16:18
    18] And I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.
    It is the account of when Jesus asked his disciples who they believed Him to be and some said one thing others said something else, but Peter stood up and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God.” And that is what prompts Jesus’ response in verse 18.
    Why is the catholic understanding of this verse dangerous? Because they are taught that Jesus made Peter the rock and that Jesus was building his church on the foundation of Peter. This necessitated another false doctrine known as Apostolic Succession. In this teaching the church is founded upon Peter who was granted the authority to change doctrines within the church and pass that authority down to the next “rock” and so on and so on.
    This false doctrine led to yet another false doctrine that claimed that as the foundation of the church was the newly founded role of the Papacy and as such any pronouncement made by that human foundation of the church would of course have to be infallible.
    These teachings spiraled out of control as new Popes added the doctrines of purgatory, praying to the saints, the perpetual virginity of Mary necessitating the removal of the scene from the Chosen where in Scripture, Mary and her other children sought Jesus out to speak with Him in order to confront Him on His preaching and he rebuked them. All of this came from a profoundly mistaken interpretation of verse 18.
    It is grammatically impossible for this verse to be claiming that Peter was ‘the rock’. One feature of Koine Greek that isn't found in English is the use of different spellings of articles, “the, this, that” based on the gender of the word it is referring to. In Greek, a word can be masculine, feminine or neuter. However, the masculine article is never used to reference a feminine or neuter noun. And vice versa.
    Literally from the Greek, verse 18 says this, ‘And I also say to thee, that thou art a rock, and upon this rock I will build my assembly, and gates of Hades shall not prevail against it;’
    Jesus calls Peter, “a piece of a rock.” Or, a broken off piece. When Jesus says, “upon this rock” the article cannot refer to Peter as being the rock as it is in the neuter or indefinite gender. If Peter had been the rock, the article would have to be masculine. So using the rules of Koine Greek we track backwards through the verse in Greek to the previous neuter or indefinite subject to see what Jesus is actually saying.
    And when we do we, see he is referring not to Peter, but to Peter's confession. “You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God.”
    So the church is built on the fact that Jesus is who He said He was. The church is built on the identity of Christ as we explored in our video on Rumble entitled, “De-Jesus-ing Jesus”. This one blatantly false misinterpreted passage has led to millions being deceived into embracing the doctrines of demons as the Apostle Paul would later say in 1 Timothy 4.
    I would never demand the someone else watch or not watch a show based on this but I do advise caution. Take the good of what you see and do not confuse Catholic doctrines with biblical doctrines, for they are definitely not the same.
In this teaching the church is founded upon Peter who was granted the authority to change doctrines within the church and pass that authority down to the next “rock” and so on and so on. This false doctrine led to yet another false doctrine that claimed that as the foundation of the church was the newly founded role of the Papacy and as such any pronouncement made by that human foundation of the church would of course have to be infallible. These teachings spiraled out of control as new Popes added the doctrines of purgatory, praying to the saints, the perpetual virginity of Mary necessitating the removal of the scene from the Chosen where in Scripture, Mary and her other children sought Jesus out to speak with Him in order to confront Him on His preaching and he rebuked them. All of this came from a profoundly mistaken interpretation of verse 18. It is grammatically impossible for this verse to be claiming that Peter was ‘the rock’. One feature of Koine Greek that isn't found in English is the use of different spellings of articles, “the, this, that” based on the gender of the word it is referring to. In Greek, a word can be masculine, feminine or neuter. However, the masculine article is never used to reference a feminine or neuter noun. And vice versa. Literally from the Greek, verse 18 says this, ‘And I also say to thee, that thou art a rock, and upon this rock I will build my assembly, and gates of Hades shall not prevail against it;’ Jesus calls Peter, “a piece of a rock.” Or, a broken off piece. When Jesus says, “upon this rock” the article cannot refer to Peter as being the rock as it is in the neuter or indefinite gender. If Peter had been the rock, the article would have to be masculine. So using the rules of Koine Greek we track backwards through the verse in Greek to the previous neuter or indefinite subject to see what Jesus is actually saying. And when we do we, see he is referring not to Peter, but to Peter's confession. “You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God.” So the church is built on the fact that Jesus is who He said He was. The church is built on the identity of Christ as we explored in our video on Rumble entitled, “De-Jesus-ing Jesus”. This one blatantly false misinterpreted passage has led to millions being deceived into embracing the doctrines of demons as the Apostle Paul would later say in 1 Timothy 4. I would never demand the someone else watch or not watch a show based on this but I do advise caution. Take the good of what you see and do not confuse Catholic doctrines with biblical doctrines, for they are definitely not the same.
  • Good evening, brethren.
    1. Evening devotion for today.
    ED.i. *DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST*
    (COCIN DEVOTIONAL)
    *DATE:*
    SUNDAY 19TH JULY, 2026.
    *SUB-THEME:*
    THE CONSEQUENCES OF REJECTING GOD'S GRACE.
    *TOPIC:*
    CONSPIRACY.
    *TEXT:*
    2 SAMUEL 15:1-6.
    1. In the course of time, Absalom provided himself with a chariot and horses and with fifty men to run ahead of him.
    2. He would get up early and stand by the side of the road leading to the city gate. Whenever anyone came with a complaint to be placed before the king for a decision, Absalom would call out to him, “What town are you from?” He would answer, “Your servant is from one of the tribes of Israel.”
    3. Then Absalom would say to him, “Look, your claims are valid and proper, but there is no representative of the king to hear you.”
    4. And Absalom would add, “If only I were appointed judge in the land! Then everyone who has a complaint or case could come to me and I would see that they receive justice.”
    5. Also, whenever anyone approached him to bow down before him, Absalom would reach out his hand, take hold of him and kiss him.
    6. Absalom behaved in this way toward all the Israelites who came to the king asking for justice, and so he stole the hearts of the people of Israel.
    *TOPIC:*
    CONSPIRACY.
    *THE MESSAGE:*
    Conspiracy is the making of a secret plan to do something unlawful or harmful. Today's text reveals how Absalom conspired against his father. In his conspiracy, he
    (i) displayed his royal power,
    (ii) presented himself as a good judge, and
    (iii) claimed false humility before the Israelites.
    Therefore, "He stole the hearts of the men of Israel." Absalom's act depicts the attitude of cunning people. Instead of advising the leader appropriately, they capitalise on his weaknesses to castigate and condemn his leadership ability while presenting themselves as capable leaders. Are you one of such people? People who appropriate God's grace do not conspire against others; instead, they approach and advise constructively. Therefore, redress your attitude and refuse to participate in any conspiracy.
    *REFLECTION:*
    Detest all sorts of conspiracy.
    *PRAYER:*
    Lord, help me not to conspire against anyone. Amen.
    *MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:*
    HEBREWS 10:29.
    How much more severely do you think one deserves to be punished who has trampled on the Son of God, profaned the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and insulted the Spirit of grace?
    *TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:*
    ISAIAH 21-22.
    ED.ii. GOD'S TIMELINE
    "But I trust in You, Lord; I say: You are my God. My times are in Your hands; deliver me from the hands of my enemies, from those who pursue me." - Psalm 31:14-15
    It is in our nature to want that things happen fast. We become impatient when we have to wait for a long time at the counter. When we pray and tell God our wishes, we also want God to immediately answer our prayers. However, we must learn that God is not a human being and that He has His own timeline. This is very difficult for human beings to accept. We are like small children whining: 'Why is it taking so long'?
    Everything happens at God's time. Therefore, many Christians are angry with God. They are frustrated, stressed and angry at the church because they do not understand God's timeline. They shout: 'Lord, when are you going to do something? I've been praying for such a long time. Why hasn't anything changed yet?' However, if you accept that God has His own timeline, you will be calmer, you will not get easily upset and you can be more relaxed. Why? Because you know and trust that God has everything in His hand: your life, your family, your work and your business. God is in control.
    God's appointed time
    When you think everything is stopped, then you are mistaken. It will change for sure. Habakkuk 2:3 says: 'For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.'
    Your situation also has God's attention at His appointed time. It can be today, but it can also be tomorrow, next week, next month, within one or ten years. This is hard to accept. How are you waiting for God? Are you impatient and angry, or do you wait with the confidence that He will live up to His Word?
    Evening Prayer for today.
    EP.i. Evening Prayer
    The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. ⏤ Numbers 6:24-26
    A day without prayer is a day without blessing, and a life without prayer is a life without power. ⏤ Leonard Ravenhill
    We thank You, O God, for this blessed day. It began with grace, and grace has brightened all its sacred hours. We have seen Your face, and our hearts have been filled with joy. We have waited on You, and You have renewed our strength. We went to Your sanctuary, and You met us there and blessed us. We prayed to You, and You came near to us in love, breathing Your life into our souls.
    Sanctify to us all the lessons and influences of this day. Help us remember the words You’ve spoken to us. May we carry in our hearts new desires, higher aspirations, and stronger determination from today’s devotions. May we be stronger for duty, more courageous for the challenges ahead, gentler in spirit, with more tender sympathies and sweeter affections—because we’ve seen You today.
    Bless Your people everywhere with the rest and worship of this Sunday. May good come from every sermon preached, every lesson taught in Sunday school, and every holy word spoken in public or in private. May Your people be strengthened in their faith, their love increased, and their zeal deepened because of today’s ministry of Your word.
    We now ask for special grace to prepare us for the work of the week ahead. We can’t foresee even one day. We don’t know what the future holds—not even the near future. But You know, and we will go forward into the unknown without fear. Everything will be well because You will lead us, and we’re not afraid to trust You. Choose the path for us. We wouldn’t choose for ourselves, even if we could, because Your wisdom is far greater than ours. So we commit everything to You, and we will go on in Your name. Amen.
  • Filled with the Spirit, Not Controlled by Wine
    July 5,2026
    The Scriptures speak with remarkable clarity on many issues. Yet, people often reinterpret God's Word to accommodate habits, desires, or addictions they are unwilling to surrender. Such habits are "yet to be conquered" because either the convicting truth of Scripture has not been fully embraced or the grace of God has not yet been yielded to for victory.
    The Day of Pentecost provides one of the clearest biblical contrasts between the influence of the Holy Spirit and drunkenness. When the disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit, the crowd mocked them, saying, "They are full of new wine" (Acts 2:13). However, the Apostle Peter immediately corrected this misunderstanding:
    «"These people are not drunk, as you suppose... But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel..." (Acts 2:15–17).»
    The boldness, courage, and supernatural utterance displayed by the 120 disciples did not come from alcohol but from the outpouring of the Holy Spirit promised through the prophet Joel. Their transformation was evidence of God's Spirit at work—not the effects of wine.
    This should cause every believer, especially ministers of the gospel, to reflect seriously. If a servant of God becomes known for drinking intoxicating beverages, what impression does that leave on unbelievers? Rather than pointing people to the work of the Holy Spirit, such conduct may cause others to attribute one's actions to alcohol instead of God's power. Scripture warns us against becoming a stumbling block to others (Romans 14:13, 21).
    Our Lord Jesus Christ gave a solemn warning concerning speaking against the Holy Spirit (Matthew 12:31–32). While the people in Acts were ignorant and Peter graciously explained the truth to them, believers today should be careful never to create situations where the genuine work of the Spirit is confused with intoxication because of our personal conduct.
    Some defend the use of alcohol by referring to Paul's instruction to Timothy, they want to drink because of the advise but never want the ailment of Timothy:
    «"Use a little wine because of your stomach and your frequent illnesses." (1 Timothy 5:23)»
    However, the context clearly shows that this was medicinal advice for Timothy's recurring health problems, not a general endorsement of social drinking or drunkenness. It addressed a specific physical need in a time when medical treatment was limited. Building a doctrine of alcohol consumption upon this isolated instruction ignores both its context and the broader teaching of Scripture.
    The Bible repeatedly warns against drunkenness and urges believers to live under the control of the Holy Spirit. Paul writes:
    «"Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit." (Ephesians 5:18)»
    Notice the contrast: one is controlled by wine; the other is controlled by the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God provides the courage, boldness, comfort, wisdom, and assurance that no alcoholic drink can ever produce. What alcohol only imitates temporarily, the Holy Spirit accomplishes eternally and righteously.
    If alcohol has become a dependency, do not justify it—bring it before God. His grace is sufficient to break every bondage. Repent sincerely, seek the help of the Holy Spirit, and allow Him to fill every area of your life. He is more than enough.
    Read these scriptures:
    - Acts 2:13–18
    - Joel 2:28–29
    - Ephesians 5:18
    - Proverbs 20:1
    - Proverbs 23:29–35
    - Romans 14:13, 21
    - 1 Corinthians 6:19–20
    - 1 Timothy 5:23
    - Matthew 12:31–32
    - Galatians 5:16, 22–23
    We would love to hear your thoughts, questions, and testimonies.
  • Esther 6:13 KJV And Haman told Zeresh his wife and all his friends every thing that had befallen him. Then said his wise men and Zeresh his wife unto him, If Mordecai be of the seed of the Jews, before whom thou hast begun to fall, thou shalt not prevail against him, but shalt surely fall before him.
    Good morning and praise God. I hope you're having a great day. Are you glad to be counted one of God's children? Haman was a man who chose to be child of the Devil. He listened to first bad advise by his own wife and friends. He wanted Mordecai to bow down to him but unfortunately even in captivity, Mordecai kept his reverence to God only and therefore wouldn't bow to a human being like Haman. Unlike Job, Haman followed bad counsel from his wife and friends who told him to prepare a pole where he would impale Mordecai the so presumed enemy of hid. He planned this at the wrong timing because Mordecai and his people Jews were in prayers and so Heaven was with them to save them. Actually, the big plans for Haman was to annihilate all people of God, the Jews. Knowing this, people of God prayed and fasted as they had been requested by queen Esther in order for her to face the king. She also knew it was only God who would save. My friend, prayer works. On that night when Haman's plans seemed to have succeeded, the king would not sleep! This was God at work to uplift his people and most importantly Mordecai the man despised by Haman. Mordecai had previously saved king from being executed and this had been recorded in book and forgotten until this night where God intervened. He made king lose sleep and reward him accordingly. Haman's evil plans began turning back to him just as Proverbs 26:27 says "Whoever digs a pit will fall into it; if someone rolls a stone, it will roll back on them." His wife and friends recognized he was fighting with "wrong people." God fights for His own and you cannot defeat them! Haman with all his pride and furry did everything to prepare his own death. He was impaled on his own pole! Mordecai and all Jews were uplifted and honored after this. Be happy that you're a child of God. Be glad to pray and trust God even when everything seems working against you. Be happy when they make you suffer because of Jesus Christ you trust! Your Savior lives! Matthew 5:11-12 "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you." Keep your salvation life fire flamed amidst all life circumstances. Pray, read your Bible and fellowship with others. God loves you, have a blessed day. Shalom. Shalom.
