    THE CROSS OF CALVARY 🏽

    WEDNESDAY, 19TH AUGUST, 2026

    TEXT: JOHN 9:1–41

    KEY VERSE:

«“As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” — John 9:5 (KJV)»

JESUS — THE ONE WHO OPENS BLIND EYES

John 9 introduces us to a man who had been blind from birth. His condition became an opportunity for Jesus to reveal the power and glory of God.

The disciples asked whether his blindness was caused by his own sin or the sin of his parents. But Jesus redirected their attention from blame to purpose.

«“Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.” — John 9:3»

Sometimes we focus so much on “Why did this happen?” that we fail to ask, “What can God do through this?”

Jesus is still able to bring light into places where people see only darkness.

    THREE TRUTHS FROM JOHN 9

JESUS CAN TURN IMPOSSIBLE SITUATIONS INTO TESTIMONIES. 🏽

    The man had never seen.

Humanly speaking, his condition seemed permanent.

But one encounter with Jesus changed his story.

What people may consider hopeless is never beyond the reach of Christ.

Your present situation is not necessarily the final chapter of your life.

God can still write a testimony.

SPIRITUAL BLINDNESS IS GREATER THAN PHYSICAL BLINDNESS.

The man received physical sight, but the religious leaders who could physically see were spiritually blind.

They witnessed the miracle but refused to recognize Jesus.

This teaches us that it is possible to have healthy physical eyes and yet have a heart that cannot see the truth.

We need more than physical sight.

We need spiritual eyes to recognize Christ, understand His Word and follow His ways.

«“One thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.” — John 9:25»

    What a testimony!

The man did not have an answer for every theological argument.

He simply knew what Jesus had done for him.

Your testimony is evidence of God's work in your life.

TRUE SIGHT LEADS US TO WORSHIP JESUS. 🏽

When Jesus found the man after he had been rejected, Jesus revealed Himself to him.

    The man responded:

«“Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.” — John 9:38»

This is the ultimate purpose of spiritual revelation.

When God opens your eyes to who Jesus is, your response should be faith, surrender and worship.

We do not seek miracles merely for the miracle.

    We seek Christ.

We do not follow Jesus only because of what He can give us.

We follow Him because He is Lord.

    TODAY'S REFLECTION

There are different kinds of blindness.

Some people are blind to God's goodness.

Some are blind to their own condition.

Some are blind to the truth of God's Word.

Some are blind to the opportunities God has placed before them.

And some are blind to the presence of Jesus.

    Today, ask God:

    “Lord, open my eyes.”

Open my eyes to see Your goodness.

Open my eyes to see my weaknesses.

Open my eyes to understand Your Word.

Open my eyes to recognize Your direction.

Open my eyes to see Jesus more clearly.

Never allow familiarity, pride or unbelief to make you spiritually blind.

The man in John 9 moved from blindness to sight, from rejection to acceptance, and from ignorance to worship.

May that also be your testimony.

I was blind, but now I see!

    🏽 PRAYER

    Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Jesus Christ, the Light of the world.

Lord, open my spiritual eyes. Remove every blindness that prevents me from seeing You clearly and understanding Your Word.

Help me to recognize Your presence even when circumstances are difficult.

Where I have been confused, give me clarity.

Where I have been spiritually blind, give me revelation.

Where I have been discouraged, give me hope.

Where I have been rejected, remind me that I am accepted in Christ.

Let my life become a testimony of Your transforming power.

May I never allow the opinions of people to make me deny what You have done in my life.

Give me grace to believe, follow and worship Jesus faithfully.

In Jesus' mighty name, Amen. 🏽

    CALVARY BLESSING

May the Lord open your eyes to see His goodness.

May He give you spiritual understanding.

May His Word illuminate your path.

May every form of spiritual blindness be removed.

May your testimony become stronger with each passing day.

And may your life continually declare:

“I once was blind, but now I see!”

    See Jesus.
    Follow Jesus.
    Trust Jesus.
    Worship Jesus.

    LET CHRIST OPEN YOUR EYES!

Is it possible for the devil to repent?

    August 19th, 2026

There’s no record of Christ offering to die for the fallen angels. But God is “merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth” (Exodus 34:6)—it’s just His nature—and I think He bore long with them. There was some kind of probation and mercy extended to Lucifer when he was first entering into his rebellion.

The Scripture says, “He does not give aid to angels, but He does give aid to the seed of Abraham” (Hebrews 2:16). There’s a reason for the difference. Satan and his angels were created perfect. They were not deceived in the way that humans were deceived. Lucifer entered a high-handed rebellion into deception. He was made perfect but chose to be proud and to worship himself; whereas Adam and Eve were made in innocence and they were caught off guard by this rebellious fiend. So the devil was more culpable than humanity was. That’s why the Lord had mercy on humans and became one of us in order to save us.

We know from the biblical account that before he sinned, Satan was known as Lucifer and stood in the very presence of God (see Isaiah 14:12). He was closest to the throne of God, and there wasn’t anything more that God could do to reveal His character to him. On the other hand, Adam and Eve were not in that same position. I believe that God gave Lucifer and the angels who believed his lies plenty of opportunity to realize the errors of their way. After all, God is a God of justice, and He’s not willing that any of His creatures should perish.

    Key Bible Texts
Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; (Hebrews 2:14 KJV)

  • FAITH THAT PLEASES GOD
Believe, Come, and Diligently Seek Him

    Key Scripture:
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” — Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)

    Thought Of The Day...
There are many things we desire from God—healing, provision, direction, protection, restoration, peace, deliverance, and breakthrough. But Hebrews 11:6 turns our attention from what we want God to do for us to what pleases God.
And Scripture gives us the answer:
    FAITH PLEASES GOD.
    Not perfect circumstances.
    Not having every answer.
Not knowing how everything will work out.
    Faith.
Faith says, “God, I may not understand what You are doing, but I still believe You.”

    • WITHOUT FAITH IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE GOD
The Scripture does not say it is difficult to please God without faith. It says:
“Without faith it is impossible to please him.”
    Why is faith so important?
Because faith reveals where our confidence rests.
When everything is going well, it can be easy to say, “I trust God.” But genuine faith is revealed when the diagnosis is uncertain, the money is tight, the family is struggling, the door has not opened, the prayer has not yet been answered, and you cannot see what God is doing.
    Faith says:
    “Even here, I trust You.”
    Job declared:
“Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him.” — Job 13:15 (KJV)
There will be seasons when you cannot trace God's hand. But you can still trust His heart.
Your circumstances may change, but God has not changed.

    • YOU MUST BELIEVE THAT GOD IS!
    Hebrews says:
“…he that cometh to God must believe that he is…”
Before believing God for something, we must believe God is.
He is God when you understand Him.
He is God when you don't.
He is God when the door opens.
He is still God when the door closes.
He is God when the answer comes immediately.
He is still God when He makes you wait.
Sometimes our faith becomes focused primarily on God's gifts: “Lord, give me this. Lord, change that. Lord, open this door.”
    But mature faith says:
“Lord, even if You don't give me what I requested when I requested it, I still want You.”
Remember the three Hebrew men standing before the fiery furnace:
“Our God whom we serve is able to deliver us…” — Daniel 3:17 (KJV)
    But then they declared:
“But if not… we will not serve thy gods…” — Daniel 3:18 (KJV)
    That's powerful faith.
    God can.
    God is able.
    I believe God will.
But even if He chooses another way, HE IS STILL GOD!

    • FAITH COMES TO GOD
    Notice the wording:
    “…he that cometh to God…”
Faith doesn't run away from God during trouble.
    Faith runs toward God.
    When you're hurting—come.
    When you're confused—come.
    When you're disappointed—come.
    When you're weary—come.
    When you've made mistakes—come.
When you don't know what tomorrow holds—COME TO GOD!
    David said:
“When my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” — Psalm 61:2 (KJV)
Your feelings may tell you to withdraw.
Your disappointment may tell you God has forgotten you.
Your circumstances may tell you prayer isn't working.
    But faith says:
“I'm going back into His presence.”

    • DILIGENT FAITH DOESN'T QUIT SEEKING!
    The verse concludes:
“…he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
There is a difference between casually seeking God and diligently seeking God.
    Diligence means persistence.
    It means you keep praying.
    You keep believing.
    You keep worshiping.
    You keep reading His Word.
    You keep serving.
    You keep showing up.
You keep trusting God even when nothing appears to be changing.
    Jesus taught:
“Men ought always to pray, and not to faint.” — Luke 18:1 (KJV)
Some answers require faith that refuses to quit.
    You prayed yesterday?
    Pray again.
    You worshiped yesterday?
    Worship again.
    You believed yesterday?
    Believe again today.
Don't allow God's silence to convince you that God is absent.
    Silence does not mean abandonment.
    Waiting does not mean denial.
Delay does not mean God has forgotten you.

    • GOD REWARDS THOSE WHO SEEK HIM!
    God promises that He is:
“…a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
But we must understand the greatest reward of seeking God.
The greatest reward is not merely receiving something from His hand—it is experiencing more of His presence.
Sometimes the reward is an open door.
    Sometimes it is healing.
    Sometimes it is provision.
    Sometimes it is restoration.
But sometimes the reward is strength to endure what God has not yet removed.
Paul prayed three times for his thorn to be removed, but God's response was:
“My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9 (KJV)
    Paul asked for removal.
    God gave him sustaining grace.
Never limit God's reward to one particular answer.
    Sometimes God changes the situation.
Sometimes God changes you while you're walking through the situation.
    Either way, God remains faithful.
    DON'T STOP BELIEVING!
Perhaps you have been praying about something for a long time.
    You've asked.
    You've waited.
    You've cried.
    You've prayed again.
    And you're wondering:
“God, when will You answer me?”
Hebrews 11:6 speaks directly into that season:
    KEEP BELIEVING.
    KEEP COMING.
    KEEP SEEKING.
    KEEP TRUSTING.
    Your faith is not wasted.
    Your prayers are not wasted.
    Your worship is not wasted.
    Your obedience is not wasted.
God sees every moment you choose faith instead of fear.
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7 (KJV)
You don't need to see everything God is doing to believe God is still working.

    PRAYER...
    Heavenly Father,
We come before You today declaring that You are God, and besides You there is none other.
    Lord, increase our faith.
When we cannot see the way, help us trust You.
When we don't understand what You're doing, help us trust You.
When our prayers seem unanswered, help us trust You.
When our bodies are hurting, our finances are strained, our families are struggling, our hearts are heavy, and our minds are weary—help us trust You!
Father, forgive us for the times we allowed fear to speak louder than faith.
Forgive us for the times we doubted Your goodness because we could not understand Your plan.
    Today we declare:
    YOU ARE STILL GOD!
    We believe that You are.
    We believe You are faithful.
    We believe You are able.
We believe You are our Provider.
We believe You are our Healer.
We believe You are our Deliverer.
We believe You are our Keeper.
And we believe You are a rewarder of those who diligently seek You.
So we will seek You when life is good, and we will seek You when life is difficult.
We will seek You when doors open, and we will seek You when doors close.
We will seek You when we understand, and we will seek You when we don't.
Give us faith that refuses to quit.
    Let our lives declare:
“I DON'T HAVE TO SEE IT TO BELIEVE IT, BECAUSE I KNOW THE GOD IN WHOM I HAVE BELIEVED!”
    We trust Your timing.
    We trust Your wisdom.
    We trust Your Word.
    We trust Your plan.
And most importantly, we trust You.
In the mighty, matchless, powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray.
    Amen and Amen!

    DECLARATION OF FAITH...
    Today I declare:
I WILL WALK BY FAITH AND NOT BY SIGHT!
    I believe God is.
    I believe God can.
    I believe God is able.
    I believe God is faithful.
I will not allow what I see to cancel what God has spoken.
    I will diligently seek Him.
    I will keep praying.
    I will keep worshiping.
    I will keep trusting.
    I will keep believing.
And even while I am waiting, MY FAITH WILL STILL PLEASE GOD!
    BELIEVE. COME. SEEK. TRUST.

  • *TODAY'S PROPHETIC DECLARATION - WEDNESDAY, 19TH AUGUST, 2026.*

*A LIFE THAT WILL BE REMEMBERED FOR GOOD*

    Scripture:
“Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.” — Mark 14:9 (KJV).

*Reflection – What Legacy Are You Building?*

In Mark 14:9, Jesus spoke about a woman who poured expensive perfume on Him as an expression of love and devotion. Some people criticized her, but Jesus valued her sacrifice and declared that her act of devotion would be remembered wherever the Gospel was preached.

Her action teaches us that genuine love for Christ is never wasted. What may appear insignificant to people can be precious in the sight of God.

She did not perform the act to become famous. She simply loved Jesus and gave Him what was valuable to her. Yet her devotion became part of the Gospel story.

Today, we are reminded that our lives should leave behind a legacy of faith, love, service, generosity, compassion, and devotion to Christ.

    *Prophetic Declaration:*
Today, I declare that my life shall bring glory to God and become a blessing to generations after me. The things I do for Christ shall never be wasted.

I declare that I will not live merely for temporary recognition or human applause. My greatest desire shall be to please God and faithfully fulfill the purpose for which He created me.

Today, I receive grace to give my best to the Lord—my time, talents, resources, strength, knowledge, opportunities, and abilities. I shall not hold back what God has given me when He calls me to use it for His Kingdom.

I declare that my family, ministry, work, business, studies, and relationships shall become platforms through which God's love and goodness are demonstrated.

I proclaim that the Lord shall make my life fruitful and impactful. Through my words, actions, prayers, service, and generosity, lives shall be touched and people shall be encouraged to draw closer to Jesus Christ.

Today, I reject selfishness, pride, bitterness, and the desire for unnecessary human approval. I choose to serve with a sincere heart, knowing that God sees every sacrifice made in love.

I declare that every good seed I have planted in faith shall produce fruit according to God's perfect timing. Seeds of prayer shall produce testimonies. Seeds of kindness shall produce blessing. Seeds of service shall produce impact. Seeds of generosity shall bless others.

I proclaim that my name and influence shall be associated with good works, godly character, compassion, integrity, and faithfulness—not for my own glory, but so that Christ may be glorified through my life.

I declare that God shall give me opportunities to make a difference in the lives of others. May I recognize those opportunities and respond with courage, love, and generosity.

Today, I choose to leave a godly legacy. I want my children, family, church, community, and future generations to see evidence that I lived for Christ and served Him faithfully.

Like the woman in Mark 14, may my devotion speak even after I am gone.

    My life will count.
    My service will matter.
My love for Christ will bear fruit.
My good works will bless others.
My legacy will point people to Jesus.

Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen!

    *Action Steps for today:*
Begin with gratitude: Thank God for giving you gifts, opportunities, relationships, and resources that can be used for His glory.

Read Mark 14:1–9: Reflect on the woman's sacrificial act of love toward Jesus.

Declare: “My life shall be a blessing, and everything I do for Christ shall produce lasting impact.”

Give your best: Identify one area where you can serve God more faithfully and commit yourself to improvement.

Do one intentional act of kindness: Bless, encourage, assist, or pray for someone today without expecting anything in return.

Examine your legacy: Ask yourself, “What do I want people to remember about my life and my faith?”

End with thanksgiving: Thank God for the privilege of serving Him and ask Him to make your life fruitful.

    *Prayer:*
    Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the example of the woman who demonstrated her love for Jesus through sacrificial devotion.

Give me a heart that genuinely loves Christ. Help me to give my best to You—not for recognition, applause, or human approval, but because You are worthy.

Take my time, talents, resources, knowledge, strength, and opportunities and use them for Your glory.

Make me a blessing to my family, church, community, and generation. Help me to recognize opportunities to serve, encourage, give, forgive, and demonstrate Your love.

Let every seed I plant in faith produce fruit according to Your perfect will. Establish the work of my hands and make my life fruitful and impactful.

Lord, help me build a legacy that will point people to Jesus Christ. May those who encounter my life be able to say that I loved God, served faithfully, helped others, and lived for Your glory.

Remove selfish ambition from my heart and replace it with humility, compassion, generosity, and faithful service.

Let my life be a living memorial of Your grace.

Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

    *Blessing for today:*
May the Lord make your life fruitful, meaningful, and impactful. May every good seed you plant in faith become a blessing to others and a testimony of God's goodness.

May God bless the work of your hands, enlarge your capacity to serve, and give you opportunities to touch lives with love and compassion.

May your family, ministry, work, business, studies, and every area of your life become a channel of blessing.

May generations after you benefit from the godly seeds you are planting today.

    May your service count.
    May your love speak.
    May your generosity bless others.
    May your faith inspire generations.
May your life point people to Christ.

“WHAT SHE HAS DONE SHALL BE SPOKEN OF FOR A MEMORIAL OF HER.” — MARK 14:9

May your life leave a beautiful legacy for God's glory.

Good morning beloved and do have a blessed and impactful day

  • Kingdom Carriers | The Kingdom the Father Delights to Give

There is a remarkable sentence Jesus spoke that we can easily read too quickly:

"Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom." — Luke 12:32

    Think about those words.

The Father has been pleased to give you the Kingdom.

Jesus had just been speaking about worry.

What will we eat? What will we wear? How will our needs be met?

    These are deeply human concerns.

Yet Jesus redirects their attention from what they were trying to secure to what the Father was pleased to give.

    The Kingdom.

Perhaps that's where anxiety often exposes something deeper.

We become consumed with securing what the Father already knows we need.

    Jesus doesn't deny those needs.

    He changes their order.

"Seek His kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well." — Luke 12:31

The world teaches us to build life from the outside in:

Secure enough. Accumulate enough. Control enough.

Then perhaps we will have peace.

    Jesus reverses the order.

Begin with the King and His Kingdom.

Then allow everything else to find its proper place beneath His rule.

And perhaps the most beautiful part is this:

    The Father isn't reluctant.

Jesus says He is pleased to give us the Kingdom.

We are not trying to persuade an unwilling God to release His purposes.

We are responding to a Father who delights in bringing His children under the goodness of His reign.

So maybe Kingdom living isn't primarily about acquiring more from God.

Perhaps it begins by recognising the magnitude of what He has already invited us into.

We keep asking for things from the King.

The Father has given us the Kingdom.

    Grace and peace,

    Jacob

    DATE: WEDNESDAY 19TH AUGUST 2026

    TOPIC: GOD'S COVENANT OF PROTECTION

    MEMORIZE:
"For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her." Zechariah 2:5 (KJV)

    BIBLE READING: PSALM 91:1-16
1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

    5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

    9 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

    MESSAGE:
The devil lures many people into evil covenants with the promise of protection; however, complete protection only exists in God. Romans 8:31 says, "... If God be for us, who can be against us?" Romans 8:37 further says that we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us. This means that, if you are in a covenant with God, you will not have to fight any battle, because He will always fight for you. Many times, you would have won the battle before you even realise that someone was trying to attack you.

I ran away from my village after some people threatened that they were going to 'eat me for breakfast,' and for 13 years, I could not return. However, after I met the Lord Jesus Christ, I was able to visit my village, and I even attended a wedding where I saw many of the people who had threatened to kill me through diabolical means. I was much younger in the faith at the time, so I had a lot of zeal but not much wisdom. I was asked to preach at the wedding, and I delivered a powerful sermon that hit them hard with the word of God. Some months later, those people went to the mother of the lady who got married and told her that it was her daughter's wedding that provided a platform for me to insult them. They further said that they had been waiting for an opportunity for revenge, and the opportunity had presented itself now that her daughter was pregnant. They told her, "We will see if your daughter will give birth, unless we are not the ones in charge here on earth." The lady's mother became frightened and came to me. I told her not to worry and assured her that on the day her daughter would give birth, all those who had threatened her would fall asleep. To the glory of God, things turned out exactly as I said; her daughter gave birth while those who threatened her were sleeping. The baby they swore would not be born is now a medical doctor.

Beloved, God said that He will be a wall of fire around you in today's memory verse, and anyone who chooses to confront the Consuming Fire will not live to tell the story. Never be afraid of any force, person, or situation that threatens to harm you. Cry out to God in such cases, and He will show up to defend you and give you victory.

    KEY POINT:
God is a wall of fire around those who are in a covenant with Him.

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL DATE: WEDNESDAY 19TH AUGUST 2026 TOPIC: GOD'S COVENANT OF PROTECTION MEMORIZE: "For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her." Zechariah 2:5 (KJV) BIBLE READING: PSALM 91:1-16 1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; 6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. 7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. 8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. 9 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; 10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. MESSAGE: The devil lures many people into evil covenants with the promise of protection; however, complete protection only exists in God. KEY POINT: God is a wall of fire around those who are in a covenant with Him. BIBLE READING IN ONE YEAR: JEREMIAH 49 AUTHOR: PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE HYMNAL 5 - BLESSED ASSURANCE 1. Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine! Heir of salvation, purchase of God, Born of His spirit, washed in His blood. CHORUS: This is my story; this is my song, praising my Saviour all the day. Long; this is my story, this is my song, praising my Saviour all the day long. 2. Perfect submission, perfect delight, Visions of rapture now burst on my sight, Angels descending, bring from above Echoes of mercy, whispers of love. CHORUS: 3. Perfect submission, perfect all is rest, I in my saviour am happy and blest watching waiting looking above filled with his goodness lost in his love. • DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 231
    DATE: 19TH AUGUST 2026
    TOPIC: UNITY COMMANDS THE BLESSING
    ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: Psalm 133:1–3 (NKJV)
1 - Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity!2 - It is like the precious ointment poured on the head, that ran down on the beard, even the beard of Aaron [the first high priest], that came down upon the collar and skirts of his garments [consecrating the whole body].3 - It is like the dew of Hermon, Descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the LORD commanded the blessing-- Life forevermore.
    Devotional message:

Yesterday, we saw that embracing our uniqueness brings order, order produces peace, and peace creates an environment for unity. Today, we see another powerful truth: unity creates an atmosphere where God commands His blessing.

The Psalmist declares how good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity. He then reveals something significant: “For there the LORD commanded the blessing.”

Notice that the blessing was commanded where brethren were dwelling together in unity.

God delights when His people walk together in love, honour one another, acknowledge one another's contribution, and function according to the grace He has given each person. Unity does not mean that everyone has the same gift, personality, assignment, or function. Rather, it means that our differences do not divide us because we recognize that we belong to one body and serve one Lord.

When the Church embraces this principle, competition gives way to cooperation, jealousy gives way to honour, confusion gives way to order, and division gives way to unity.

And where God commands His blessing, His presence becomes evident among His people. The blessing of God is not limited to spiritual manifestations alone. God's desire is that His people experience His goodness in every dimension of life according to His will—spiritually, materially, relationally, and in the work He has entrusted to them.

The blessing is ultimately connected to God's presence. Psalm 133 presents the blessing as flowing from the place where God is pleased to dwell among His people. Where there is genuine unity, love, and harmony, there is an atmosphere that honours God.

This is why the enemy continually seeks to introduce division into the Church. He understands that a divided house loses strength, but a united people become a powerful testimony of the Gospel.

Jesus Himself prayed:John.17.21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. (NKJV)

Therefore, child of God, do not allow differences in gifts, positions, backgrounds, or responsibilities to become reasons for division. Honour the grace upon another person's life. Take your rightful place. Serve faithfully. Celebrate the success of others. Walk in love.

When every member functions according to the grace God has given them and everyone honours the contribution of others, the Church becomes orderly, peaceful, and united—and God is glorified in the midst of His people.

    Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for the blessing of belonging to the body of Christ.Let there be order, peace, love, and unity among Your people. May Your presence dwell richly among us and may You command Your blessing upon Your Church for the glory of Your name. In Jesus' name, Amen.

  • HOW TO GROW SPIRITUALLY

Spiritual growth is not automatic. Just as a child must eat, learn, exercise, and develop, a Christian must intentionally develop his or her relationship with God.

1 Peter 2:2 — “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.”

God does not want us to remain spiritual babies; He wants us to mature in faith, character, wisdom, and obedience.

“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.” — 2 Peter 3:18

*1. Grow Through the Word of God*
The Word of God is spiritual food. A believer who consistently studies and meditates on Scripture becomes stronger and better equipped to resist temptation.

    Joshua 1:8; Psalm 119:105; 2 Timothy 3:16–17

*Key lesson:* You cannot grow spiritually if you neglect spiritual food.

    *2. Grow Through Prayer*
Prayer builds intimacy with God. The more we communicate with God, the more we understand His will and depend upon His strength.

    Luke 18:1; 1 Thessalonians 5:17; Jude 20

Prayer should not only be about asking for things; it should include worship, thanksgiving, confession, listening, and seeking God's direction.

    *3. Grow Through Obedience*
Spiritual maturity is demonstrated by obedience, not merely by knowledge. Jesus said:

“If ye love me, keep my commandments.” — John 14:15

Knowing God's Word without obeying it will not produce genuine spiritual maturity.

    James 1:22; Deuteronomy 28:1–2

    *4. Grow Through Fellowship*
God designed believers to grow together. Fellowship with mature Christians encourages us, corrects us, teaches us, and strengthens our faith.

    Hebrews 10:24–25; Proverbs 27:17; Acts 2:42

Do not isolate yourself from the church and godly fellowship.

*5. Grow by Producing Spiritual Fruit*
A spiritually mature Christian should increasingly display Christlike character.

Galatians 5:22–23 identifies the fruit of the Spirit as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

The evidence of spiritual growth is not merely how much Bible we know, but how much Christ is seen in our lives.

    *Conclusion*
Spiritual growth requires the Word, prayer, obedience, fellowship, and the Holy Spirit. Do not be satisfied with yesterday's spiritual experience. Keep moving forward.

Ephesians 4:15: “But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.”

    *Ask yourself:*

Am I growing spiritually or remaining at the same level?

How much time do I spend in God's Word?

    Is my prayer life growing?

Can people see the fruit of the Spirit in my character?

Am I becoming more like Christ?

    *Final Thought:*

“Spiritual growth is not measured by how long you have been saved, but by how much you have become like Christ.”

    *Prayer*
Father, help me to grow deeper in Your Word, stronger in prayer, faithful in obedience, and fruitful through the Holy Spirit.
