• When Wrong Stops Feeling Wrong

    What happens to a society when it no longer asks, “Is this right?” but only, “Will people accept it?”

    That may be one of the defining questions of our generation.

    We live in an age where technology has advanced beyond imagination, yet moral certainty seems to be fading. Truth is increasingly measured by popularity, and convictions are often traded for approval. Many people are afraid to speak honestly—not because they lack beliefs, but because they fear being shamed, rejected, or “cancelled.” Silence has become safer than conviction.

    History has shown that when a culture repeatedly normalizes what it once questioned, people gradually stop recognizing the difference between right and wrong. What was once debated becomes celebrated. What was once considered harmful becomes ordinary. Eventually, anyone who raises a concern is labeled intolerant, outdated, or hateful.

    The Bible warns that this would happen. The prophet Isaiah wrote, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness” (Isaiah 5:20). Those words are as unsettling today as they were thousands of years ago.

    This is not simply about one issue or one group of people. Immorality takes many forms. Pride, greed, pornography, adultery, sexual immorality, dishonesty, drunkenness, addiction, exploitation, hatred, materialism, and the worship of self all find fertile ground when a culture places personal desire above God’s truth. Scripture confronts every one of these, regardless of who practices them. No one stands above God’s call to repentance.

    Our generation often celebrates the message, “Live your truth.” Yet Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). The difference is profound. One places the individual at the center; the other places God at the center.

    Love has also been redefined. Real love is no longer simply wanting the good of another person; it is sometimes assumed to mean affirming every choice without question. But biblical love is deeper than affirmation. It is patient, kind, truthful, and willing to confront what destroys us. A doctor who ignores a disease is not loving. A parent who never corrects a child is not loving. In the same way, Christians believe that speaking God’s truth with humility and compassion can be an expression of love.

    This does not give believers permission to become harsh or self-righteous. Jesus welcomed sinners, ate with them, and showed extraordinary compassion. At the same time, He called people to repentance and new life. He never lowered God’s standard, yet He never withheld God’s mercy. Truth and grace walked together.

    Cancel culture can tempt people to measure morality by applause rather than by conscience. But Christians are called to test every idea against God’s Word, not against the changing opinions of society. If our convictions rise and fall with public opinion, they are not convictions at all.

    The question each generation must answer is not whether the Bible will change. It is whether we will.

    The world will always move with the current. Following Christ has often meant swimming against it. That path has never been the easiest, but according to Scripture, it is the one that leads to life.

    Perhaps the greatest challenge facing this generation is not whether we can change the world, but whether we will allow the world to change us.

    “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” — Romans 12:2

    “Speak the truth in love.” — Ephesians 4:15

  • We are the Generation Z—connected to the world like never before, yet often disconnected from God. Every day we are surrounded by voices telling us to follow our hearts, chase pleasure, seek validation, and live for ourselves. Many of our generation are drawn into pornography, drugs, alcohol, vaping, sexual immorality, same-sex relationships, the pursuit of fame, materialism, and an attitude of entitlement that says, “My desires matter more than God’s will.” These promises of freedom often leave behind brokenness, loneliness, anxiety, and emptiness.

    But Jesus Christ calls us to a different path—a path of love, holiness, truth, and eternal hope. He doesn’t reject us because of our past; He invites us to repentance, forgiveness, and a transformed life. As young worshippers, we are called to stand firm when the world tells us to compromise, to love people without compromising God’s truth, and to choose Christ over temporary pleasures. True freedom is not found in following every desire but in surrendering our lives to Jesus.

    Let us be a generation that worships instead of wanders, prays instead of panics, serves instead of seeks applause, and stands for Christ even when we stand alone. Our identity is not found in culture, trends, or social media—it is found in Christ alone. The greatest joy is not what this world can offer, but hearing our Savior say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” May our lives shine brightly until the glorious return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

    “Do not love the world or anything in the world… The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.” — 1 John 2:15,17

  • HOLINESS STILL MATTERS TO JESUS

    We live in a world that tells us anything goes.

    But Jesus is not coming back for a compromised church.

    He is coming back for a Bride who is surrendered.
    A Bride who is faithful.
    A Bride who is set apart.

    Jesus doesn't condemn His people...
    He cleanses them.
    He doesn't abandon His church...
    He purifies it.
    He doesn't give up on His Bride...
    He prepares her.

    Sometimes purification is uncomfortable.
    Sometimes conviction is painful.
    Sometimes God removes things we wanted to keep.

    But everything He does is out of love.

    "That He might present the church to Himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish." — Ephesians 5:27

    Lord, purify my heart.
    Purify my thoughts.
    Purify my motives.
    Purify Your Church.

    Because in the end...

    It's His Church.
    His Bride.
    His Glory.

    If your prayer is "Lord, make me more like You," comment:

    PURIFY ME, LORD.

  • Daily Devotion — May 17 | Mark 9:45 (NKJV)

    Taking Sin Seriously

    Mark chapter 9 contains some of Jesus’ strongest teachings about sin and spiritual discipline. In this passage, Jesus uses powerful imagery involving the hand, foot, and eye to emphasize the seriousness of anything that leads a person away from God.

    When Jesus speaks about cutting off a foot that causes sin, He is not commanding literal self harm. Instead, He is teaching that believers must deal decisively with anything that continually leads them into sin or spiritual compromise.

    The foot represents the direction of life and the paths we choose to walk. If something in our lives consistently pulls us away from obedience to God, Jesus teaches that it is better to remove that influence than to continue allowing it to damage our spiritual lives.

    This passage reminds believers that sin is never harmless. Small compromises can gradually pull the heart away from God if left unchecked. Jesus calls His followers to radical commitment and serious repentance because eternal matters are at stake.

    For believers today this verse encourages honest self examination. Relationships, habits, entertainment, environments, or attitudes that continually lead toward sin should not be treated casually. God calls His people to pursue holiness and to remove obstacles that hinder spiritual growth.

    True freedom is found in walking closely with Christ rather than holding onto what harms the soul.

    Reflection Questions

    1. Are there influences or habits in my life that pull me away from God?

    2. What steps can I take to pursue greater holiness and obedience?

    3. How can I guard the direction of my spiritual walk?

    Prayer

    Lord Jesus help me to take sin seriously and to remove anything that hinders my relationship with You. Give me wisdom, strength, and courage to walk in holiness and obedience. Guide my steps so that my life honors You in every direction I take. In Jesus name Amen.

    Practical Application

    - Identify and remove influences that lead toward spiritual compromise

    - Ask God for accountability and wisdom in areas of weakness

    - Choose daily habits that strengthen your walk with Christ

    Takeaway Thought

    Following Jesus requires removing anything that continually pulls the heart away from God.

  • Called ‘Lord’ on Earth, But Rejected in Eternity !

    “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
    Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
    And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
    Matthew 7:21–23 (KJV)

    INTRODUCTION

    One of the most frightening statements ever spoken by Jesus is found in Matthew 7.

    It reveals a shocking truth: it is possible to call Jesus “Lord” on earth and still be rejected by Him in eternity.

    This sermon is not directed at unbelievers alone, but at churchgoers, workers, ministers, and those who outwardly appear spiritual.

    Titles, activities, and public confessions do not automatically guarantee eternal acceptance.

    What truly matters is relationship, obedience, and transformed living.

    1. Calling Him “Lord” Is Not the Same as Knowing Him

    Matthew 7:23 – “I never knew you…”

    John 17:3 – Eternal life is knowing God and Jesus Christ.

    Matthew 15:8 – “This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth… but their heart is far from me.”

    Many people confess Christ with their lips but deny Him with their lives.

    Christianity becomes a language they speak, not a life they live.

    Jesus is not impressed by religious vocabulary; He looks for a genuine, personal relationship.

    Familiarity with Jesus is not the same as intimacy with Jesus.

    2. Religious Works Without Obedience Are Empty.

    Matthew 7:21 – “…but he that doeth the will of my Father…”

    1 Samuel 15:22 – “To obey is better than sacrifice.”

    James 1:22 – Be doers of the word, not hearers only.

    Those rejected in eternity listed impressive achievements: prophecy, miracles, and deliverance. Yet Jesus called them workers of iniquity. Why? Their actions were not aligned with God’s will.

    God values obedience above activities, and submission above performance.

    3. Ministry Success Does Not Equal Eternal Approval

    1 Corinthians 13:1–3 – Gifts without love profit nothing.

    Romans 11:29 – Gifts are given without repentance.

    Matthew 23:27–28 – Outward righteousness, inward corruption.

    It is possible to be used by God publicly and still be lost privately.

    Spiritual gifts can operate even when character is compromised. God can use a vessel without endorsing the vessel’s lifestyle.

    Being used by God is not the same as being approved by God.

    4. Hidden Sin Leads to Eternal Rejection

    Psalm 66:18 – If I regard iniquity in my heart…

    Hebrews 12:14 – Without holiness, no man shall see the Lord.

    Galatians 6:7 – God is not mocked.

    The people Jesus rejected practiced lawlessness while professing lordship.

    Secret sin, unrepentant lifestyles, and deliberate disobedience will eventually expose a false profession.

    A hidden life on earth will be revealed in eternity.

    5. A True Lordship Produces a Changed Life

    Luke 6:46 – “Why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?”

    2 Corinthians 5:17 – If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.

    Romans 8:1 – No condemnation to those who walk after the Spirit.

    When Jesus is truly Lord, He governs decisions, habits, relationships, and priorities. Salvation is not perfection, but it is direction—a continual submission to Christ.

    CONCLUSION
    The greatest tragedy is not dying without calling Jesus “Lord,” but calling Him “Lord” and hearing Him say, “I never knew you.”

    This message is a call to self-examination, repentance, and authentic faith.

    Eternity will not be based on what we claimed, but on who we truly followed.

    2 Corinthians 13:5 – Examine yourselves whether ye be in the faith.

    ALTAR CALL / CALL TO RESPONSE
    Today, Jesus is asking:

    Is He your Lord in truth, not just in name?

    Are you doing the will of the Father, not just religious works?

    Is your heart aligned with your confession?

    Now is the time to repent, surrender, and renew your relationship with Christ.

    PRAYER

    Lord Jesus, I repent of empty religion and self-deception.

    I surrender my heart, my will, and my life to You.

    Let my confession match my conduct, and my faith produce obedience.

    Help me to live approved on earth and accepted in eternity.

    In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  • MEN WHO HATE GOD

    “Men Who Hate God” may sound shocking, yet Scripture clearly reveals that there are people who live in open rejection, rebellion, and opposition to God.

    Romans 1:28-32, Psalm 14:1, John 15:18-19

    They may not openly declare, “I hate God,” but their actions, choices, lifestyle, and attitudes reveal a deep contempt for His authority, truth, and righteousness.

    Hatred for God is not merely emotional; it is spiritual rebellion.

    It is the refusal to acknowledge God as Lord, the rejection of His Word, and the deliberate choice to live contrary to His will.

    “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works…” – Psalm 14:1

    1. MEN WHO HATE GOD REJECT HIS AUTHORITY

    Men who hate God refuse to submit to His sovereignty. They want to rule their own lives and become their own god. They see God’s commandments as restrictions rather than protection.

    “For the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.” – Romans 8:7

    Hatred for God is shown when men:

    ,- Mock righteousness

    - Despise holiness

    - Ignore repentance

    - Redefine truth

    Such men say, “I will live my life my way, not God’s way.”

    2. MEN WHO HATE GOD LOVE SIN MORE THAN TRUTH

    Another mark of those who hate God is their deep affection for sin.

    They defend evil, glorify immorality, and celebrate what God condemns.

    “And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind…” – Romans 1:28

    They exchange the truth of God for lies, placing pleasure, pride, and self above righteousness.

    Sin becomes their language. Darkness becomes their comfort.

    3. MEN WHO HATE GOD PERSECUTE THE RIGHTEOUS

    Those who hate God naturally oppose those who love Him. Hatred for God translates into hatred for godly living.

    “If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.” – John 15:18

    They ridicule prayer, mock holiness, and resist the gospel. The light exposes their darkness, and instead of repenting, they attack the light.

    4. THE DANGERS OF HATING GOD

    To hate God is to position oneself against the source of life. It leads to:

    -Spiritual blindness

    - Moral decay

    - Judgement

    - Eternal separation from God

    “They that hate me love death.” – Proverbs 8:36

    Hatred for God is not freedom; it is bondage. It is not boldness; it is self-destruction.

    5. GOD’S MERCY STILL CALLS THE REBELLIOUS

    Despite human hatred, God still extends mercy. He desires repentance, not destruction.

    “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise… but is longsuffering… not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” – 2 Peter 3:9

    Even men who hate God today can become men who love Him tomorrow through repentance and surrender to Christ.

    CONCLUSION
    Men who hate God are not always loud atheists; sometimes they sit in churches, speak religious words, and still live in defiance.

    Hatred for God is revealed through disobedience, pride, and rejection of His truth.

    The call of God today is clear:
    Stop fighting God. Stop rejecting His voice. Return to Him while mercy is available.

    “Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.” – Hebrews 3:15

    ALTAR CALL

    Search your heart. Are you resisting God’s will?

    Are you living in quiet opposition?

    Today is the day to turn back. Love God, obey His Word, and choose life.

    MEN WHO HATE GOD “Men Who Hate God” may sound shocking, yet Scripture clearly reveals that there are people who live in open rejection, rebellion, and opposition to God. Romans 1:28-32, Psalm 14:1, John 15:18-19 They may not openly declare, “I hate God,” but their actions, choices, lifestyle, and attitudes reveal a deep contempt for His authority, truth, and righteousness. Hatred for God is not merely emotional; it is spiritual rebellion. It is the refusal to acknowledge God as Lord, the rejection of His Word, and the deliberate choice to live contrary to His will. “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works…” – Psalm 14:1 1. MEN WHO HATE GOD REJECT HIS AUTHORITY Men who hate God refuse to submit to His sovereignty. They want to rule their own lives and become their own god. They see God’s commandments as restrictions rather than protection. “For the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.” – Romans 8:7 Hatred for God is shown when men: ,- Mock righteousness - Despise holiness - Ignore repentance - Redefine truth Such men say, “I will live my life my way, not God’s way.” 2. MEN WHO HATE GOD LOVE SIN MORE THAN TRUTH Another mark of those who hate God is their deep affection for sin. They defend evil, glorify immorality, and celebrate what God condemns. “And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind…” – Romans 1:28 They exchange the truth of God for lies, placing pleasure, pride, and self above righteousness. Sin becomes their language. Darkness becomes their comfort. 3. MEN WHO HATE GOD PERSECUTE THE RIGHTEOUS Those who hate God naturally oppose those who love Him. Hatred for God translates into hatred for godly living. “If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.” – John 15:18 They ridicule prayer, mock holiness, and resist the gospel. The light exposes their darkness, and instead of repenting, they attack the light. 4. THE DANGERS OF HATING GOD To hate God is to position oneself against the source of life. It leads to: -Spiritual blindness - Moral decay - Judgement - Eternal separation from God “They that hate me love death.” – Proverbs 8:36 Hatred for God is not freedom; it is bondage. It is not boldness; it is self-destruction. 5. GOD’S MERCY STILL CALLS THE REBELLIOUS Despite human hatred, God still extends mercy. He desires repentance, not destruction. “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise… but is longsuffering… not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” – 2 Peter 3:9 Even men who hate God today can become men who love Him tomorrow through repentance and surrender to Christ. • Cleansed by Blood, Polluted by Choice

    The blood of Jesus Christ is the most powerful cleansing agent ever known to humanity.

    Through His sacrifice, sinners are washed, justified, and declared righteous before God.

    Yet many believers who have been cleansed by His blood deliberately return to sinful lifestyles, worldly patterns, and ungodly habits.

    This is the tragic reality of cleansed by blood, polluted by choice.

    Revelation 1:5, Hebrews 10:22, Isaiah 1:18, 2 Peter 2:20-22, Romans 12:1-2

    Salvation is God’s gift, but sanctification is our responsibility.

    While Christ has washed us completely, remaining clean requires obedience, discipline, and a conscious decision to walk in holiness.

    “Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood.” – Revelation 1:5 (KJV)

    1. THE POWER OF THE BLOOD THAT CLEANSES

    The blood of Jesus does what no ritual, sacrifice, or self-effort could accomplish:

    * It washes away sin (Hebrews 9:14)

    * It justifies the guilty (Romans 5:9)

    * It reconciles us to God (Colossians 1:20)

    * It purifies the conscience (Hebrews 10:22)

    Isaiah declared:

    “Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow...” – Isaiah 1:18

    When a sinner repents, God does not partially clean — He completely restores. The blood speaks better things than the blood of Abel (Hebrews 12:24).

    2. POLLUTED BY CHOICE: WHEN GRACE IS ABUSED

    Despite this cleansing, many choose to return to spiritual filth:

    * Secret sins

    * Immorality

    * Bitterness and unforgiveness

    * Worldly compromise

    * Hypocrisy

    Peter warns:

    “For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord... they are again entangled therein...” – 2 Peter 2:20

    This is not accidental pollution; it is deliberate disobedience.

    Grace is not a license to sin, but power to overcome it (Romans 6:1-2).

    3. HOW BELIEVERS BECOME SPIRITUALLY POLLUTED

    a) Neglect of Prayer and Word
    When devotion weakens, desire for holiness fades (Matthew 26:41).

    b) Wrong Associations
    Evil communication corrupts good manners (1 Corinthians 15:33).

    c) Compromise with the World
    Loving the world makes one an enemy of God (James 4:4).

    d) Hardened Conscience
    Repeated sin dulls conviction (1 Timothy 4:2).

    4. CHOOSING HOLINESS IS A DAILY DECISION

    Holiness does not happen by accident; it is a choice.

    “Present your bodies a living sacrifice… and be not conformed to this world” – Romans 12:1-2

    Every day we choose:

    * Obedience or rebellion

    * Purity or compromise

    * Spirit or flesh

    * Life or corruption

    God provides the cleansing, but we must guard the purity.

    5. THE DANGER OF RETURNING TO FILTH

    Scripture gives a strong warning:

    “The dog is turned to his own vomit again...” – 2 Peter 2:22

    To return to sin after cleansing is spiritual betrayal.

    It crucifies Christ afresh (Hebrews 6:4-6) and grieves the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:30).

    6. THE PATH BACK TO PURITY

    If anyone has been polluted:

    * Repent genuinely (1 John 1:9)

    * Confess without excuses

    * Renounce old habits

    * Reconnect to spiritual disciplines

    * Submit to accountability

    God restores the broken, but He expects a surrendered heart.

    You were not cleansed to become careless.

    You were not washed to wallow in dirt. The blood of Jesus paid too high a price for believers to live in cheap grace.

    The tragedy is not that Christ failed to cleanse — it is that men choose to be polluted again.

    Today, choose purity. Choose holiness. Choose obedience.

    “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.” – Matthew 5:8

    ALTAR CALL / PRAYER

    Lord Jesus, thank You for Your precious blood that washed me clean. I renounce every sin that seeks to pollute my soul. Restore my hunger for holiness and strengthen me to walk in obedience. I choose purity. I choose righteousness. I choose Christ. Amen.
