• PERILOUS TIMES

We are living in a generation that perfectly reflects the prophecy concerning the last days.

Everywhere we look, there is moral decay, violence, deception, selfishness, greed, and increasing rebellion against God. The Bible calls these days "Perilous Times."

The word perilous means dangerous, difficult, stressful, fierce, and hard to endure.

Yet, God has not left His people without direction. He has given us His Word to guide us through these challenging times.

    2 Timothy 3:1-5 (KJV)

"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away."

    What Are Perilous Times?

Perilous times are seasons characterized by:

    Spiritual decline

    Moral corruption

    Increase in wickedness

    False teachings

    Lawlessness

    Persecution of believers

    Matthew 24:12
"And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold."

Jesus warned that sin would increase, causing many people to lose their passion for God.

    Signs of Perilous Times

    1. Self-Centered Living

    2 Timothy 3:2
"For men shall be lovers of their own selves..."

Many people today are focused only on themselves, their success, and their pleasure rather than God's will.

    2. Love of Money

    1 Timothy 6:10
"For the love of money is the root of all evil..."

The pursuit of wealth has become more important to many than righteousness.

    3. Disobedience and Rebellion

    2 Timothy 3:2
    "...disobedient to parents..."

Respect for authority is diminishing in homes, churches, and society.

    4. Increase in Deception

    Matthew 24:24
"For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets..."

False doctrines and misleading teachings are spreading rapidly.

    5. Love of Pleasure Over God

    2 Timothy 3:4
"...lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God."

Many people prioritize entertainment, comfort, and worldly desires above God.

How Should Christians Live in Perilous Times?

    1. Remain Faithful to God

    Revelation 2:10
"Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life."

Our commitment to Christ must remain strong regardless of the pressures around us.

    2. Stay in God's Word

    Psalm 119:105
"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path."

The Word of God provides direction and protection in confusing times.

    3. Be Prayerful

    Luke 21:36
"Watch ye therefore, and pray always..."

Prayer keeps believers spiritually alert and connected to God.

    4. Walk in Holiness

    1 Peter 1:15-16
"Be ye holy; for I am holy."

God expects His children to remain pure despite a corrupt world.

    5. Do Not Fear

    Isaiah 41:10
"Fear thou not; for I am with thee..."

Even in dangerous times, God remains our refuge and strength.

    God's Promises During Perilous Times

    Psalm 91:1-2
"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty."

God promises protection for those who trust Him.

    John 16:33
"In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."

Jesus assures us that He has already overcome every challenge we face.

    Romans 8:37
"Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us."

Believers are not victims of perilous times; they are conquerors through Christ.

    Lessons from Perilous Times

The Bible is being fulfilled before our eyes.

    We must remain spiritually vigilant.

Holiness is more important than ever.

    Prayer is essential for survival.

    Christ's return is drawing near.

    Luke 21:28
"And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh."

    Conclusion

Perilous times are not meant to discourage believers but to prepare them.

While the world grows darker, the light of Christ should shine brighter through His people.

God is calling His church to remain faithful, prayerful, watchful, and holy.

Those who endure to the end shall receive the crown of life.

    Closing Prayer

Heavenly Father, give us wisdom, strength, and courage to stand firm in these perilous times. Help us to remain faithful to Your Word, walk in holiness, and keep our eyes fixed on Jesus. Protect us from deception and strengthen our faith until the day of Christ's return. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

  • The Lust Child”

In Scripture, lust is not limited to sexual desire alone. Lust represents any uncontrolled craving of the flesh—power, money, pride, pleasure, fame, or sinful appetite.

When lust is allowed to grow unchecked, it conceives, and what it gives birth to is what the Bible reveals as sin. That product—the result of sustained lust—is what we call “The Lust Child.”

The Lust Child is not born overnight. It is formed gradually in the heart, fed by compromise, and raised by disobedience.

    James 1:14–15 (KJV)
“But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.”

    1. LUST ALWAYS SEEKS CONCEPTION
    James 1:15a – “When lust hath conceived…”

Lust is not passive; it is reproductive.
What you entertain repeatedly will eventually produce fruit.

    Lust begins in thought

    It grows through agreement

    It matures through action

    Matthew 5:28

“Whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.”

The heart is the womb where lust conceives.
If the heart is not guarded, lust will always give birth.

    Proverbs 4:23

“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”

    2. THE LUST CHILD IS ALWAYS SIN
    James 1:15b – “…it bringeth forth sin”

What lust produces will never glorify God.
The Lust Child may look attractive at birth, but its nature is destructive.

    Romans 6:12
“Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.”

Sin is not sudden rebellion; it is the offspring of tolerated lust.

    Examples of Lust Children:

    Pride → Rebellion

    Greed → Corruption

    Pleasure → Addiction

    Power → Oppression

    3. THE LUST CHILD GROWS IF NOT KILLED EARLY

    Galatians 6:7–8
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”

What you don’t confront early will control you later.
    Lust ignored becomes habit.
    Habit unchallenged becomes bondage.

    Romans 8:13
“For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.”

The Lust Child must be terminated spiritually before it matures.

    4. THE FINAL DESTINY OF THE LUST CHILD

James 1:15c – “…sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.”

Death here is not only physical:

    Death of conscience

    Death of spiritual sensitivity

    Death of destiny

    Death of intimacy with God

    Proverbs 14:12
“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”

The Lust Child always promises pleasure but delivers destruction.

    5. DELIVERANCE FROM THE LUST CHILD

    Galatians 5:16
“Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.”

Victory is not by suppression but by substitution:

    Replace flesh with Spirit

    Replace desire with discipline

    Replace compromise with obedience

    Colossians 3:5
“Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth…”

You don’t manage lust—you crucify it.

    CONCLUSION

The Lust Child is dangerous because it is familiar, tolerated, and often hidden.

But God’s grace is greater than any lust, and the blood of Jesus cleanses completely.

    1 John 1:7
“The blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”

Today, refuse to nurse what God commands you to kill.

    CLOSING PRAYER
“Father, by Your Spirit, expose and destroy every lust seeking to reproduce in my life. I receive grace to walk in holiness and obedience, in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

  • The Corrupted Christian

    2 Timothy 3:1–5

We live in a generation where many claim to be Christians but their lives deny the very power of godliness.

The church is full of activity but lacking in true spirituality. Many who once walked in the light have allowed sin, greed, and hypocrisy to corrupt their hearts.

This message is a call to repentance and purity — to return to the life of holiness that pleases God.

    2 Timothy 3:1–5 (KJV)

"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud... having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away."

    1. Who Is a Corrupted Christian?

A corrupted Christian is not an unbeliever, but one who once knew the truth yet allows sin to take root in his or her heart.

They appear godly on the outside but are spiritually decayed inside.

    Matthew 23:27

"Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones."

A corrupted Christian can still sing, preach, pray, and give offerings — but their heart is far from God.

    2. Signs of a Corrupted Christian

    * Loss of Spiritual Sensitivity – No more conviction when they sin (Ephesians 4:18–19).

    * Lovers of Pleasure More Than God – Church becomes entertainment, not worship (2 Timothy 3:4).

    * Hypocrisy and Double Life – Pretending to be holy but living in secret sin (Titus 1:16).

    * Greed and Materialism – Pursuing money more than righteousness (1 Timothy 6:10).

    * Pride and Self-glory – Seeking fame instead of glorifying God (James 4:6).

    3. Causes of Corruption in the Christian Life

    * Neglect of the Word of God – Without the Word, the heart becomes darkened (Psalm 119:11).

    * Unconfessed Sin – Hidden sin opens the door to spiritual decay (Proverbs 28:13).

    * Wrong Companionship – Evil association corrupts good manners (1 Corinthians 15:33).

    * Love of the World – The desire for worldly pleasure draws one away from God (1 John 2:15–17).

    * Pride and Self-Righteousness – Thinking one is too spiritual to fall (1 Corinthians 10:12).

    4. God’s Warning to the Corrupted Christian

    Revelation 3:15–16

"I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot... so then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth."

God despises lukewarm Christianity. He wants a pure, sincere, and dedicated heart. The corrupted Christian must either repent or face judgment.

    5. The Path to Restoration

Acknowledge Your Sin – Admit where you have fallen (1 John 1:8–9).

Repent Genuinely – Turn away from sinful habits (Acts 3:19).

Renew Your Mind – Through the Word and prayer (Romans 12:2).

Seek the Holy Spirit’s Cleansing – Only He can purify the heart (Psalm 51:10–11).

Walk in Obedience – Live daily to please God (John 14:15).

Beloved, the name “Christian” is not a decoration — it’s a call to live like Christ.

The corrupted Christian must repent before it’s too late. The Lord is coming soon for a spotless bride, not a polluted one.

    Ephesians 5:27

"That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish."

Let us examine ourselves today and ask, “Am I still standing pure before God?”
May the Lord cleanse us from every corruption and make us vessels of honor again.

    Pray This Prayer

Lord, search my heart and reveal every hidden corruption in me.

Father, purify me by Your Spirit and restore my first love.

Deliver me from every secret sin and hypocrisy.

Lord, make me a true reflection of Your holiness.

Help me to live in truth and righteousness till You come.

  • The Narrow Way

"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."
    Matthew 7:13–14

    -Life is full of choices.

-Every day, we choose what to do, where to go, how to live, and who to follow.

-Jesus clearly tells us that there are two paths before us: the broad way and the narrow way.

-One is popular but dangerous, the other is unpopular but leads to eternal life.

The question today is: Which way are you walking in?

    * The Wide Gate and the Broad Way

The broad way is easy, attractive, and filled with pleasures of sin.

It allows compromise, worldliness, and living without accountability.

Proverbs 14:12 – “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”

Many people love the broad way because it requires no sacrifice. But Jesus warns that it leads to destruction.

    * The Strait Gate and the Narrow Way

The narrow way begins with the strait (tight) gate, which is Christ Himself.

John 10:9 – “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.”

The narrow way is a life of discipline, holiness, obedience, and self-denial.

It is not comfortable, but it leads to life eternal.

    * Why Few Choose the Narrow Way

Because it demands repentance and surrender.

Because it rejects sin and calls for holiness (Hebrews 12:14).

Because the world mocks those who choose it.

Because it requires carrying your cross daily (Luke 9:23).

    * Rewards of the Narrow Way

Eternal life with Christ (John 14:2–3).

Peace of God that passes understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Crown of righteousness awaiting faithful believers (2 Timothy 4:7–8).

Beloved, the choice is yours today:

The broad way that is crowded but leads to destruction, or the narrow way that is difficult but leads to everlasting life.

Jesus calls us to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him. The narrow way is worth it because it leads to Heaven.

    Choose right way tody

Enter through the narrow gate today by surrendering to Jesus Christ.

Live daily in holiness, truth, and obedience.

Do not follow the crowd, follow Christ.

    Pray This Prayer

-Lord, give me the grace to walk in the narrow way.

-Deliver me from every attraction of the broad way.

-Strengthen me to carry my cross daily and follow Jesus.

-Prepare me for eternal life with You.

Matthew 7:13–14 -Life is full of choices. -Every day, we choose what to do, where to go, how to live, and who to follow. -Jesus clearly tells us that there are two paths before us: the broad way and the narrow way. -One is popular but dangerous, the other is unpopular but leads to eternal life. The question today is: Which way are you walking in? * The Wide Gate and the Broad Way The broad way is easy, attractive, and filled with pleasures of sin. It allows compromise, worldliness, and living without accountability. Proverbs 14:12 – “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Many people love the broad way because it requires no sacrifice. But Jesus warns that it leads to destruction. * The Strait Gate and the Narrow Way The narrow way begins with the strait (tight) gate, which is Christ Himself. John 10:9 – “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.” The narrow way is a life of discipline, holiness, obedience, and self-denial. It is not comfortable, but it leads to life eternal. * Why Few Choose the Narrow Way Because it demands repentance and surrender. Because it rejects sin and calls for holiness (Hebrews 12:14). Because the world mocks those who choose it. Because it requires carrying your cross daily (Luke 9:23). * Rewards of the Narrow Way Eternal life with Christ (John 14:2–3). Peace of God that passes understanding (Philippians 4:7). Crown of righteousness awaiting faithful believers (2 Timothy 4:7–8). Beloved, the choice is yours today: The broad way that is crowded but leads to destruction, or the narrow way that is difficult but leads to everlasting life. Jesus calls us to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him. The narrow way is worth it because it leads to Heaven. Choose right way tody Enter through the narrow gate today by surrendering to Jesus Christ. Live daily in holiness, truth, and obedience. Do not follow the crowd, follow Christ. Pray This Prayer -Lord, give me the grace to walk in the narrow way. -Deliver me from every attraction of the broad way. -Strengthen me to carry my cross daily and follow Jesus. -Prepare me for eternal life with You.
