    SERMON TOPIC:

    3 PLACES IN YOUR HOME THAT NEED PRAYER

    Theme:
    When You Pray Over Your House, You Build a Spiritual Wall Around Your Family

    Your home is more than a building.
    It is a place where destinies are formed, children are raised, marriages are strengthened, decisions are made, and spiritual battles are sometimes fought.
    You can lock your doors physically and still leave your home spiritually exposed.
    That is why prayer must not only happen in the church. Your home must become an altar.
    Joshua declared:
    «“As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” — Joshua 24:15»
    Joshua did not say, “As for me, I will serve the Lord.” He said, “Me and my house.”
    There are places in your house that should not only be cleaned, decorated, or furnished—they should be covered in prayer.

    Today, we are looking at three places in your home that need prayer.
    1. YOUR BEDROOM — PRAY OVER YOUR REST, MARRIAGE AND PRIVATE LIFE
    The bedroom is a place of rest, intimacy, vulnerability, and sometimes deep emotional battles.
    It is where you sleep after the activities of the day. It is also where many people experience anxiety, fear, disturbing thoughts, marital tensions, and spiritual heaviness.
    Bible Verse
    «“I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.” — Psalm 4:8»
    Notice the connection:
    Sleep + peace + God's protection.
    Before you sleep, don't only check your phone. Check your spiritual atmosphere.
    Pray over your bed.
    Pray for peaceful sleep.
    Pray over your marriage.
    Pray against fear and anxiety.
    Pray for your thoughts.
    Pray that your home will be a place of peace.
    For Married Couples
    The bedroom should not become a battlefield of bitterness.
    Husbands and wives should learn to pray together.
    A marriage that prays together is inviting God into its battles.

    Deep Spiritual Insight

    The enemy wants to disturb your peace because he knows that a tired, fearful and confused person is easier to discourage.
    But God gives His beloved sleep.
    «“He giveth his beloved sleep.” — Psalm 127:2»
    Prayer
    “Father, let Your peace fill this bedroom. Let everyone who sleeps here experience divine rest. Protect our minds, our marriage, our bodies and our dreams. Let every atmosphere of fear, confusion and unrest disappear, in Jesus' name.”
    2. YOUR LIVING ROOM — PRAY OVER YOUR FAMILY'S WORDS, RELATIONSHIPS AND DECISIONS
    The living room is where families gather.
    People talk there.
    Arguments can happen there.
    Children learn there.
    Guests enter there.
    Important decisions are sometimes made there.
    Therefore, your living room needs an altar of prayer.

    Bible Verse
    «“But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” — Joshua 24:15»
    The home should have a spiritual identity.
    Ask yourself:
    What atmosphere dominates my home?
    Is it prayer?
    Is it love?
    Is it anger?
    Is it television?
    Is it social media?
    Is it gossip?
    Is it constant quarrelling?
    Your home will eventually reflect what you consistently permit.

    A Biblical Example: Cornelius

    In Acts 10, we meet Cornelius, a man whose household was connected to God.
    His home became a place where God's presence and instruction were welcomed.

    The Bible says:

    «“He was a devout man, and one that feared God with all his house.” — Acts 10:2»
    Notice the phrase:
    “With all his house.”
    One person's spiritual commitment can influence an entire household.

    Practical Application

    Make your living room a place where:

    - The Bible is read.
    - Children are taught God's Word.
    - Family prayer happens.
    - Thanksgiving is offered.
    - Forgiveness is practiced.
    - Christian conversations are encouraged.
    You don't need a large prayer meeting.
    Sometimes, ten minutes of sincere family prayer can change the atmosphere of a home.
    Prayer
    “Lord, let this home be filled with love, wisdom, unity and Your Word. Let our conversations bring grace. Let our decisions be guided by You. Remove bitterness, hatred and unnecessary conflict from this family, in Jesus' name.”
    3. YOUR FRONT DOOR / GATE — PRAY OVER WHAT ENTERS AND LEAVES YOUR HOME
    Your door represents access.
    People enter through it.
    Things enter through it.
    Influences enter through it.
    And although we should not become superstitious about physical objects, we should understand the spiritual principle of guarding what we allow into our lives and homes.

    Bible Verse
    «“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” — Proverbs 4:23»
    Your home needs boundaries.
    Not everything should enter your home.
    Not every conversation should enter your home.
    Not every relationship should enter your home.
    Not every piece of entertainment should enter your home.
    Not every influence should have access to your children.
    Psalm 101:3
    David said:
    «“I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes.”»
    This is a powerful principle for the modern home.
    Today, your front door is not the only entrance into your house.
    Your phone is a door.
    Your television is a door.
    The internet is a door.
    Social media is a door.
    What are you allowing to enter?
    Practical Spiritual Watchfulness
    Pray:
    “Lord, give us discernment concerning what we allow into this home.”
    Don't only pray for God to protect your family.
    Teach your family what to reject.

    A REAL-LIFE PICTURE

    Imagine a father who locks his doors every night.
    He checks the windows.
    He installs security lights.
    He even has security personnel around his compound.
    But inside the house, nobody prays.
    There is constant hatred between husband and wife.
    The children consume anything they find online.
    The television is always on, but the Bible is rarely opened.
    The family eats together but hardly prays together.
    The house may be physically secure but spiritually neglected.
    The answer is not fear.
    The answer is Christ-centered living and consistent prayer.

    5 PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS

    1. Establish a family prayer time.
    It doesn't have to be one hour.
    Start with 10–15 minutes daily.
    2. Pray in every room.
    Walk through your home occasionally and pray—not because the walls have magical power, but because your family belongs to God.
    3. Watch what enters through your screens.
    Ask:
    “Is this content helping my family spiritually or poisoning our atmosphere?”
    4. Teach your children to pray.
    Don't make prayer only the responsibility of the pastor.
    Teach your children to call upon God themselves.
    5. Make your home an altar, not merely a residence.
    A Christian home should have evidence of Christ.
    Let there be Scripture.
    Let there be forgiveness.
    Let there be worship.
    Let there be prayer.
    Let there be love.

    QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION

    1. What atmosphere currently dominates my home?
    2. Do we pray together as a family?
    3. What are we allowing into our home through our phones and entertainment?
    4. Is there unresolved bitterness in my household?
    5. If Jesus physically visited my home today, would I be comfortable with everything He would see and hear?
    6. Am I building a house or building a godly legacy?

    POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS

    1.
    Father, let Your presence fill my home and let Your peace rule in every room, in Jesus' name.
    2.
    Every power working against the unity and peace of my household, be defeated in Jesus' name.
    3.
    Lord, protect every member of my family from evil influences and destructive relationships.
    4.
    Father, give our children wisdom and protect them from ungodly influences.
    5.
    Every atmosphere of fear, confusion, hatred and unnecessary conflict in my home, I command it to end, in Jesus' name.
    6.
    Lord, restore every broken relationship in my household.
    7.
    Let my home become a place where Your Word is honoured, Your name is worshipped and Your presence is welcomed.
    8.
    Father, let no member of my household be lost spiritually. Draw us all closer to Christ.
    9.
    Give every parent in this house wisdom to lead this family according to Your Word.
    10.
    As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!

    CALL TO ACTION

    Beloved, don't wait until there is a crisis before you pray over your home.
    Don't wait until your marriage is collapsing.
    Don't wait until your child has been badly influenced.
    Don't wait until fear has taken over.
    Build the altar before the battle comes.
    Tonight, when you enter your bedroom, pray.
    When you sit in your living room, pray.
    When you pass through your door, pray.
    And remember:
    Your house may have beautiful furniture, expensive electronics and modern decorations—but the greatest decoration a Christian home can have is the presence of God.
    Joshua made a decision:
    «“As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” — Joshua 24:15»
    Make that decision today.
    Let your bedroom become a place of peace.
    Let your living room become a place of unity.
    Let your home become a place of prayer.
    Let your family become a testimony of God's faithfulness.

    PRAY OVER YOUR HOME.

    PRAY FOR YOUR FAMILY.

    BUILD THE ALTAR.

    AND LET CHRIST BE THE HEAD OF YOUR HOUSE.
    In Jesus' mighty name. Amen.

THE WORD FOR TODAY
    THURSDAY AUGUST 13, 2O26.
    "RESPONDING TO FAILURE"

    ‘A righteous person may fall…but he gets up again...’ Proverbs 24:16 GWT

    YOU CAN tell a lot about somebody by how they respond to life. Everybody gets knocked down, but how fast you get up again is what counts. Verla Gillmor says: ‘Failure teaches us things we can’t learn any other way…Treat it as a visitor allowed to deliver unpleasant news, but don’t let it take up residence. Remember, all failures aren’t equal. For example, when a beautiful, talented young woman is the first-runner-up in a beauty contest, some say she failed. Yet some people would give their right arm to be named the second most attractive female in a competition. It’s a matter of perspective… [examine] your failures and weigh them according to their importance in the overall scheme of things…I once received a ‘D’ at college…it’s ridiculous, but that sticks in my mind like a pebble in my shoe. Why do I fixate on that and not the fact that it happened during the term I carried nineteen credit hours, worked part-time, got engaged, and spent six weeks in the college health centre with mononucleosis? When I put the experience in context, it loses its power to undermine my confidence. Failure teaches us what’s important. I have a friend who was made redundant…It caught her by surprise because she was good at her work. “I tended to be full of pride,” she says. “I got away with it because I was so successful. Losing my job…humbled me. With pride you have no permission to fail. It’s a heavy yoke…and I don’t wear it any more. I feel lighter in my spirit without the burden of having to be perfect.’’’

    *A MORE DESCRIPTION OF HEAVEN*

    *TEXT:* REVELATION 21:1-8.

    1And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
    2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
    3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
    4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
    5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
    6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
    7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
    8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

    *Timeless Truth:*_"For he (Abraham) looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God"_ (Hebrews 11:10).

    *INTRODUCTION*

    When Garden Eden was created, it was the most beautiful place Adam could ever conceive of, with all the beautiful birds, animals, plants and cool weather. However, nobody needed to tell Adam that there must be a better place because the God that used to commune with him in *"the cool of the day"* was not living in Eden. He must be dwelling in a better place. This faith was carried on from generations to generations until the time of Abraham, who in spite of all the wealth promised him, his affection was focused on the better city. *"For he (Abraham) looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God"*. Nobody was given a better revelation of heaven than Apostle John. Enoch and Elijah were said to be translated to heaven. How heaven looked like was left to human imaginations. Jesus Christ also mentioned heaven as the abode of the Triune God. He only told us it has many mansions. At the mount of transfiguration was revealed the glory of heaven and how the inhabitants will look like. Nothing more was revealed. Stephen saw heaven at the point of death but just faintly (Acts 7:55-56). Paul the apostle was taken to heaven which he called the third heaven, but he said he was not permitted to reveal what he saw to any except that he exposed that it has many foundations (Acts 11:10, 2 Corinthians 12:2-4). The text shows us the climax of God's revelation about heaven. Yet the Bible writers were short of words to describe heaven except that it is the place where God dwells from eternity, with all His created angels and saints. *"How beautiful heaven must be"*.

    *1. Prepared Heaven*

    a. Those who doubt the testimony of Apostle John must be ready to doubt his gospel and epistles that have transformed lives and brought supernatural comforts and revelation of Jesus Christ to mankind for centuries. *"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth"*. He was not told or heard from a third party. He saw it himself. It was not a remodelled new heaven and earth, but a totally new heaven and a new earth. *"And there was no more sea"*. There are three types of heaven mentioned in the Bible. There is the atmospheric heaven where the rain comes from (Deuteronomy 11:11). There is the second heaven called heavenlies where we have the galaxies including the primary domain of demonic forces and angelic conflicts (Ephesians 6:12). Then we have the third heaven or paradise where God dwells (2 Corinthians 12:2). *"For the first heaven and the first earth were passed away"*. The first two heavens were passed away except the third heaven. 2 Peter 3:12, 13 reveals how this will happen. *"….. wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. "*. The earth and the heavens will be destroyed through fervent heat. Jesus Himself confirmed that heaven and earth with all their structures, beauties, learnings and philosophies shall all pass away except the Word of God (Matthew 5:18, 24:35). In fact, all the human bodies will give way to eternal and indestructible bodies. Thus, what Apostle John saw was the giving away of all things that are visible and temporary for things that are eternal.
    b. *"And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven"*. The earthly Jerusalem was referred to as the city of the Great King (Psalm 48:2, Matthew 5:35). This is referring to the Millennium holy Jerusalem from where Jesus will rule the whole world physically. John the apostle said that Jerusalem ceased to exist, but gave way to a completely New Jerusalem. This New Jerusalem was seen coming *"out of heaven"*. Obviously, it is seen coming from the third heaven which is the eternal throne of God. He used the imagery of the beauty of a bride coming to meet the husband to describe the beauty of heaven. This is the best description human language can give. *Prepared as a bride adorned for her husband"*. He then heard the voice of God announcing the plan of God right from eternity. What was that plan? That God will physically, live among men as King over loving subjects; as Father over His children in a happy family set up and as God over His redeemed and people. *"And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God"*. This is the beginning of heaven, happy and holy eternity.

    *Question*

    Are you getting prepared for heaven in the practical sense of it? If Not, then you don't actually, believe in heaven.

    *2. Pacification with Happiness*

    a. The Apostle further gave a glimpse of how we will feel in heaven. *"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes"*. Tears of sorrow, anguish, lost loved ones, physical and psychological pains, etc.will all be forgotten. This is difficult to imagine for man. It is like imagining how God promised that *"your sins and iniquities will I remember no more"*. We don't have a problem with God forgiving our sins, but God forgetting our sins will be difficult to imagine. We will all forget the painful past as we will be overwhelmed with the glory of God for eternity. *"There shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away"*. The pains and the tears, called *"light afflictions"* will be for a moment. They will not survive the joy of eternity.
    b. For those who have difficulty with believing, *"he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful"*. Heaven is prepared already. When Jesus Christ was about going to heaven, He assured the disciples of going to build mansions for them. About 60 years later, when John saw the revelation, he was told by the Lord that it was done. It means it is a settled and concluded matter. *"And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end"*. In heaven there will not be any heat or tension, but total refreshments and happiness. *"I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely"*. Everything God has will be totally ours. All the gifts of God, physical or spiritual, will belong to us as possessions. Nothing needed or useful will be denied. We suffer different lacks while on earth. Heaven will be the opposite. *"He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son"*. Are you an overcomer over sin, Satan and all his temptations?

    *Question*

    What are the things you are suffering on earth? Do you see them as temporary?

    *3. Punishment of Hell*

    What are the things that will disqualify any from entering heaven? What would be the abode of those who will miss heaven? The answer is fearful. *"But the fearful, and unbelieving"*. Every evil action stems from fear and unbelief. Unbelief of what God has spoken and the consequences of disobedience, fear of man and what man can do are terrible paralysing feelings that draw men to perdition. *"And the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars"*. Notice that all those sins are now also found inside the Church among professing saints. So there will be eternal surprises when those who profess that heaven is their home find themselves in a totally different place called hell. They *"shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone*.

    *Question*

    Are you transparently free from all sins?

    *Prayer Points*

    1.Give praises to God that you are in that number saved by grace .
    2.Ask God to search your life, expose, purge and cleanse you from all disqualifying habits .
    3.Pray that the vision of heaven will get brighter and brighter to you and your mind and affections will be focused on heavenly things .
    4.Pray that all believers will be delivered from all forms of self deception and will take entering heaven more seriously .

    ```KEY VERSE:``` _*"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away" (REVELATION 21:4).*_
    *John Harper, a Scottish Baptist pastor and evangelist, died on the _RMS Titanic_ in 1912. His last words, as testified by survivors, were "I have seen heaven, and it is beautiful" and "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved." Despite his death, Harper used his final moments to preach the gospel, expressing his deep assurance that beyond death lay a place of eternal peace. A rescued survivor testified that Harper, clinging to the wreckage, asked if he was saved and urged him to believe in Jesus Christ. The survivor later accepted Christ and called himself "the last convert of John Harper."*
    *Today's passage paints a breath-taking vision of the new heaven and new earth. John sees the Holy City, the New Jerusalem, descending from God, adorned like a bride. A powerful voice declares that God will dwell among His people, wiping away every tear. Death, mourning, crying, and pain will be gone forever. The former things will pass away, and everything will be made new. God, the Alpha and Omega, promises the water of life to those who thirst. But He also warns that those who reject Him (those living in sin, fear, unbelief) will face eternal separation in the lake of fire.*
    *In this world, we experience suffering in many forms such as loss, illness, disappointment, pain and injustice. But for those who belong to Christ, these trials are temporary. Christ assures us that a glorious future awaits us, one where God Himself will comfort us, and all suffering will cease. This hope should encourage believers to endure hardships with faith, knowing that one day, we will step into a place where joy is endless and pain is no more. It also calls us to live righteously, rejecting sin and embracing the promise of eternity with God.*
    *No matter what trials you face today, hold unto the hope of heaven. Let this promise strengthen your faith, drive you to share the gospel, and encourage you to live in readiness for Christ's return. A day is coming when all suffering will cease and there will be no more tears, pain or death. Get ready to be part of this eternally glorious moment.*
    2. Morning Prayer for today.
    MP.i. Morning Prayer
    For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only [use] not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. ⏤ Galatians 5:13
    Let your religion be less of a theory and more of a love affair. ⏤ G.K. Chesterton
    O God, who has redeemed us by the precious blood of the Lamb, help us to live for Your praise and glory in all that we do. Since Jesus Christ has died for us and we are not our own, we want to live lives worthy of Your holiness. We confess and renounce all our sins. Teach us to hate sin and give us the grace to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world, to the glory of Your holy name.
    We ask You to reveal Yourself to us this morning as we go forth and to give us the assurance of Your presence. You have promised that as our days are, so shall our strength be, and that Your grace will always be sufficient for us. We cling to these promises as we enter a new day whose experiences we cannot predict. We do not know what dangers we will encounter, what burdens will be placed on us, what temptations will whisper in our ears, what pitfalls will lie in our path, or what insidious influences will threaten the purity of our souls.
    So we hide ourselves in You and trust You to keep us safe all day.
    We desire to be useful and helpful to others. Save us from selfishness and self-centeredness. Teach us the great lesson of service. May we have the mind of Christ, who came not to be served but to serve. May we serve one another in love. May we live to help others and do good.
    Help us to see the needs we can meet, to perceive the ways we can serve, and then give us the true spirit of ministry so that we may do the things that will bless others. Fill us with Your Spirit so that we may be like You. We ask all this in the name of our Savior. Amen.
Those who doubt the testimony of Apostle John must be ready to doubt his gospel and epistles that have transformed lives and brought supernatural comforts and revelation of Jesus Christ to mankind for centuries. *"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth"*. He was not told or heard from a third party. He saw it himself. It was not a remodelled new heaven and earth, but a totally new heaven and a new earth. *"And there was no more sea"*. There are three types of heaven mentioned in the Bible. There is the atmospheric heaven where the rain comes from (Deuteronomy 11:11). There is the second heaven called heavenlies where we have the galaxies including the primary domain of demonic forces and angelic conflicts (Ephesians 6:12). Then we have the third heaven or paradise where God dwells (2 Corinthians 12:2). *"For the first heaven and the first earth were passed away"*. The first two heavens were passed away except the third heaven. 2 Peter 3:12, 13 reveals how this will happen. *"….. wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. "*. The earth and the heavens will be destroyed through fervent heat. Jesus Himself confirmed that heaven and earth with all their structures, beauties, learnings and philosophies shall all pass away except the Word of God (Matthew 5:18, 24:35). In fact, all the human bodies will give way to eternal and indestructible bodies. Thus, what Apostle John saw was the giving away of all things that are visible and temporary for things that are eternal. b. *"And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven"*. The earthly Jerusalem was referred to as the city of the Great King (Psalm 48:2, Matthew 5:35). This is referring to the Millennium holy Jerusalem from where Jesus will rule the whole world physically. John the apostle said that Jerusalem ceased to exist, but gave way to a completely New Jerusalem. This New Jerusalem was seen coming *"out of heaven"*. Obviously, it is seen coming from the third heaven which is the eternal throne of God. He used the imagery of the beauty of a bride coming to meet the husband to describe the beauty of heaven. This is the best description human language can give. *Prepared as a bride adorned for her husband"*. He then heard the voice of God announcing the plan of God right from eternity. What was that plan? That God will physically, live among men as King over loving subjects; as Father over His children in a happy family set up and as God over His redeemed and people. *"And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God"*. This is the beginning of heaven, happy and holy eternity. *Question* Are you getting prepared for heaven in the practical sense of it? If Not, then you don't actually, believe in heaven. *2. Pacification with Happiness* a. The Apostle further gave a glimpse of how we will feel in heaven. *"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes"*. Tears of sorrow, anguish, lost loved ones, physical and psychological pains, etc.will all be forgotten. This is difficult to imagine for man. It is like imagining how God promised that *"your sins and iniquities will I remember no more"*. We don't have a problem with God forgiving our sins, but God forgetting our sins will be difficult to imagine. We will all forget the painful past as we will be overwhelmed with the glory of God for eternity. *"There shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away"*. The pains and the tears, called *"light afflictions"* will be for a moment. They will not survive the joy of eternity. b. For those who have difficulty with believing, *"he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful"*. Heaven is prepared already. When Jesus Christ was about going to heaven, He assured the disciples of going to build mansions for them. About 60 years later, when John saw the revelation, he was told by the Lord that it was done. It means it is a settled and concluded matter. *"And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end"*. In heaven there will not be any heat or tension, but total refreshments and happiness. *"I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely"*. Everything God has will be totally ours. All the gifts of God, physical or spiritual, will belong to us as possessions. Nothing needed or useful will be denied. We suffer different lacks while on earth. Heaven will be the opposite. *"He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son"*. Are you an overcomer over sin, Satan and all his temptations? *Question* What are the things you are suffering on earth? Do you see them as temporary? *3. Punishment of Hell* What are the things that will disqualify any from entering heaven? What would be the abode of those who will miss heaven? The answer is fearful. *"But the fearful, and unbelieving"*. Every evil action stems from fear and unbelief. Unbelief of what God has spoken and the consequences of disobedience, fear of man and what man can do are terrible paralysing feelings that draw men to perdition. *"And the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars"*. Notice that all those sins are now also found inside the Church among professing saints. So there will be eternal surprises when those who profess that heaven is their home find themselves in a totally different place called hell. They *"shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone*. *Question* Are you transparently free from all sins? *Prayer Points* 1.Give praises to God that you are in that number saved by grace 🙏. 2.Ask God to search your life, expose, purge and cleanse you from all disqualifying habits 🙏. 3.Pray that the vision of heaven will get brighter and brighter to you and your mind and affections will be focused on heavenly things 🙏. 4.Pray that all believers will be delivered from all forms of self deception and will take entering heaven more seriously 🙏. *HYMN:* How Beautiful Heaven Must Be. *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* JOB 16-18. His last words, as testified by survivors, were "I have seen heaven, and it is beautiful" and "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved." Despite his death, Harper used his final moments to preach the gospel, expressing his deep assurance that beyond death lay a place of eternal peace. A rescued survivor testified that Harper, clinging to the wreckage, asked if he was saved and urged him to believe in Jesus Christ. The survivor later accepted Christ and called himself "the last convert of John Harper."* *Today's passage paints a breath-taking vision of the new heaven and new earth. John sees the Holy City, the New Jerusalem, descending from God, adorned like a bride. A powerful voice declares that God will dwell among His people, wiping away every tear. Death, mourning, crying, and pain will be gone forever. The former things will pass away, and everything will be made new. God, the Alpha and Omega, promises the water of life to those who thirst. But He also warns that those who reject Him (those living in sin, fear, unbelief) will face eternal separation in the lake of fire.* *In this world, we experience suffering in many forms such as loss, illness, disappointment, pain and injustice. But for those who belong to Christ, these trials are temporary. Christ assures us that a glorious future awaits us, one where God Himself will comfort us, and all suffering will cease. This hope should encourage believers to endure hardships with faith, knowing that one day, we will step into a place where joy is endless and pain is no more. It also calls us to live righteously, rejecting sin and embracing the promise of eternity with God.* *No matter what trials you face today, hold unto the hope of heaven. Let this promise strengthen your faith, drive you to share the gospel, and encourage you to live in readiness for Christ's return. Morning Prayer for today. MP.i. Morning Prayer For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only [use] not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. ⏤ Galatians 5:13 Let your religion be less of a theory and more of a love affair. ⏤ G.K. Chesterton O God, who has redeemed us by the precious blood of the Lamb, help us to live for Your praise and glory in all that we do. Since Jesus Christ has died for us and we are not our own, we want to live lives worthy of Your holiness. We confess and renounce all our sins. Teach us to hate sin and give us the grace to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world, to the glory of Your holy name. We ask You to reveal Yourself to us this morning as we go forth and to give us the assurance of Your presence. You have promised that as our days are, so shall our strength be, and that Your grace will always be sufficient for us. We cling to these promises as we enter a new day whose experiences we cannot predict. We do not know what dangers we will encounter, what burdens will be placed on us, what temptations will whisper in our ears, what pitfalls will lie in our path, or what insidious influences will threaten the purity of our souls. So we hide ourselves in You and trust You to keep us safe all day. We desire to be useful and helpful to others. Save us from selfishness and self-centeredness. Teach us the great lesson of service. May we have the mind of Christ, who came not to be served but to serve. May we serve one another in love. May we live to help others and do good. Help us to see the needs we can meet, to perceive the ways we can serve, and then give us the true spirit of ministry so that we may do the things that will bless others. Fill us with Your Spirit so that we may be like You. We ask all this in the name of our Savior. Amen. https://www.youdevotion.com/daily-prayer/miller/39/morning #taptapstudio #youdevotion.
  • A little more about me, beyond the bio.
    I’m usually the person who observes before joining the conversation.
    I like people, but I also really enjoy my own company. I can spend an entire evening listening to music, working on something, thinking about life, or going down a completely unnecessary internet rabbit hole
    I’m also at a stage where I’m taking my work, my relationships, and my personal growth more seriously.
    I like people who are genuine. People who can laugh at themselves, have an honest conversation, and don't feel the need to pretend they have everything figured out.
    I’m here to meet people, have interesting conversations, learn a few things, and see where some of those connections lead.
    So if you're new here too, say hi.
    What’s something about you that probably wouldn't make it into your bio?
    above is how we’ve grown so far away. unity in sin is the power of justification. thieves unite with theaves and before you know it shame turns to fame and thrives begin boasting there crimes amungst one another. and the bigger the unity grows the greater the power of justifying. consider a gay man in the 70’s . he hid in the closet. as the unity grew so did the false righteousness until shame became boast . today it’s pride for this reason. all sin grows this way. now a man having sex outside of marriage is of the same devils. the unity of men that have sex outside of marriage had grown so big that men look up to the man who had the most sex. the power of false righteousness had grown tremendously here.
    but we have all become justified by the ways of the world but can’t see it cuz our sins aren’t as obvious as sex and drugs. but we have all fallen to the world and utilize the products of the world. I tell you cars and phones and everything we use is sinful even the internet. god does not communicate through devices of men. nor does his servants. god doesn’t communicate through the same source porn does.
  • TODAY'S KINGDOM INSIGHTS
    SERMON TOPIC:
    HOPE FOR THE YOUTHS.
    There Is Still Hope!
    We are in a period where many young people are battling fear, unemployment, addiction, depression, immorality, broken homes, and uncertainty about the future. Many have lost hope because of repeated disappointments. Some believe they have no future, while others are searching for meaning in the wrong places.
    But God's message to every young person today is this:
    "There is hope for you!"
    Your present situation does not determine your final destination. God has not forgotten you. The God who raised Joseph from prison, David from the wilderness, Esther from obscurity, and Daniel from captivity is still raising young men and women today.
    No matter how dark your night may be, dawn is coming.
    Key Bible Texts
    Jeremiah 29:11
    > "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
    This promise was given to people living in difficult circumstances. God assured them that captivity was not the end of their story. Likewise, today's struggles are not the end of your journey.
    Joel 2:28
    > "Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy... your young men shall see visions."
    God has a divine assignment for the youth. Young people are not merely the future of the Church—they are part of God's work today.
    1 Timothy 4:12
    > "Let no one despise your youth..."
    Paul encouraged Timothy to become an example in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity. Youth is not a limitation; it is an opportunity to glorify God.
    1. Hope Begins When You Know God Has a Purpose for Your Life
    Many young people compare themselves with others and feel like failures.
    But God never created anyone without purpose.
    David was forgotten by his family, yet God had already chosen him to become king.
    Your background cannot cancel God's purpose.
    Lesson: Never measure your future by your present condition.
    2. Hope Grows Through Right Choices
    Many destinies are destroyed not because God failed, but because wrong decisions were made.
    Choose:
    God over sin.
    Wisdom over foolishness.
    Discipline over laziness.
    Character over popularity.
    Purpose over pleasure.
    Every decision you make today shapes your tomorrow.
    Proverbs 3:5–6 teaches us to trust the Lord rather than our own understanding.
    3. Hope Survives Every Delay
    Joseph waited.
    David waited.
    Abraham waited.
    Jesus Himself waited until the appointed time before beginning His ministry.
    Delay does not mean denial.
    God's timing is always perfect.
    Never give up because your miracle seems slow.
    4. Hope Becomes Reality Through Faith and Hard Work
    Faith is not laziness.
    Prayer is not an excuse for idleness.
    God blesses diligent hands.
    Develop your gifts.
    Learn valuable skills.
    Study the Scriptures.
    Remain faithful.
    Keep improving yourself while waiting for God's open doors.
    5. Hope Is Found Completely in Christ
    Money cannot replace hope.
    Fame cannot replace hope.
    Friends cannot replace hope.
    Only Jesus gives lasting hope.
    Without Christ, success is empty.
    With Christ, even difficult seasons become stepping stones to victory.
    Biblical Case Study:
    Joseph (Genesis 37–50)
    Joseph was young when God gave him dreams.
    His brothers hated him.
    He was thrown into a pit.
    He was sold into slavery.
    He was falsely accused.
    He was imprisoned.
    Yet Joseph refused to lose hope.
    At God's appointed time, he became the Prime Minister of Egypt and saved many lives.
    Lessons
    from Joseph:
    Dreams may be delayed but not destroyed.
    Integrity attracts God's favor.
    God can turn suffering into promotion.
    Your present pain can prepare you for your future purpose.
    Practical Action Steps
    Build a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
    Read your Bible every day.
    Pray consistently.
    Avoid destructive friendships.
    Learn useful skills and continue developing yourself.
    Honour your parents and spiritual leaders.
    Stay sexually pure.
    Refuse drugs, cultism, internet fraud, and violence.
    Believe that your future is in God's hands.
    Deep Spiritual Insights
    Hope is confidence in God's promises, not wishful thinking.
    God often prepares people privately before promoting them publicly.
    Your trials may be God's training ground.
    Every believer carries a divine purpose that no circumstance can destroy.
    Young people who walk with God become instruments of revival and transformation.
    Questions for Reflection
    1. Where have I placed my hope—in God or in worldly success?
    2. Am I making decisions that support God's purpose for my life?
    3. What habits are delaying my progress?
    4. Am I growing spiritually while waiting for God's timing?
    5. If Jesus returned today, would I be ready?
    Powerful Prayer Points
    1. Father, restore hope to every discouraged young person in Jesus' name.
    2. Lord, reveal Your purpose for my life.
    3. Every spirit of depression, fear, and hopelessness, leave my life in Jesus' name.
    4. Father, connect me with godly mentors and faithful friends.
    5. Destroy every addiction and sinful habit fighting my destiny.
    6. Open doors of education, employment, ministry, and divine opportunities.
    7. Grant me wisdom to make godly decisions every day.
    8. Let my generation experience genuine revival.
    9. Make me a vessel of honor in Your Kingdom.
    10. Let my life glorify Jesus until the very end.
    Call to Action
    Young people, the future is not lost. God is still calling, preparing, and empowering a generation that will stand for righteousness in a corrupt world.
    Do not surrender your destiny to despair. Do not allow temporary failures to define your future. Fix your eyes on Jesus, remain faithful, and keep moving forward.
    Remember the promise of Romans 15:13:
    > "Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
    May the Lord raise a generation of young men and women who love Him, walk in holiness, influence society for Christ, and fulfill their divine purpose. Amen.
Remember the promise of Romans 15:13: > "Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." May the Lord raise a generation of young men and women who love Him, walk in holiness, influence society for Christ, and fulfill their divine purpose.   • Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.
    What a crazy day we had yesterday … but in a positive way. A really positive way. A long-time friend told me that they prayed for the first time and that they wanted the peace that I had. I broke all the rules that I taught my children and met someone from the internet … at a candy store no less. Haha. From that meeting, I believe that I have a new friend. I met their children, and we had a good time. The drive to and from the meeting place was gorgeous. When we got home, the gas can DID NOT leak on me this time for the mower. I mowed the second property I am responsible for with ease. A grand, goofy, and GODLY day.
    It was such a good day that my sleep, where solid and uninterrupted, was a bit wild as well. The enemy knows that he cannot have me. I am solid in my Father’s arms, but he does, from time to time, try to wear me out in other fashions. Whether it be writer's block and frustration or stupid little annoyances that just sit the wrong way with me, he is my thorn. HOWEVER, even with that and the draining it can give me, my eyes do not focus on the storm, but the Man who saved me from the storm.
    Another friend showed me a photo of a saying the other day about how the enemy does not bother you if you are his. That is one of the most important statements ever made, in my opinion. If you have already been hired by my company, why do I need to try to get you to join our team? If you are already doing my work for me, why do I need to do anything else to get you to do my work? HOWEVER, when you start to see that the job you are doing is not peaceful or feels wrong or sits poorly in your spirit and you seek alternative solutions … i.e., God. You bet your bottom dollar that I do not want to lose a valued employee, and I am going to pull out all the tricks to keep you. In a business sense, I would give raises that were not earned, or flatter you with compliments always, and I would tell you that rival company has this negative and that negative and the rules are outrageous. The owner does not care about his employees and just look at how good you have it here.
    When you decide to leave the enemy’s troops, he gets upset that his forces are dwindling. When you are doing his bidding, he is quite content and will show you why you should stick around. When you decide that this company is not for you and you start to move away … he throws a tantrum. He not only gets in your face and yells obscenities at you, but he goes after anyone who is trying to headhunt for your skill set. For example, my rough night’s sleep last night was a chaotic mess of utter confusion meant for me to wake up drained and not speak to my friend on this topic today. Just like medicine has an opposite effect on my husband, the enemy’s attempts to stop me have the same type of effect on me.
    I think it was Paul who said he counted it great joy to have been chosen for the challenges placed before him. I would like to think that I am the same. I have a saying, ‘If you are coming after me, or talking about me, you are leaving everyone else alone.” I am good with that.’
    Today I want you to walk with pride and confidence. Today I want you to show the enemy that you have chosen the Father of Peace and are leaving the father of chaos. Today I pray that your challenges appear in such a manner that you laugh when they arise and show God’s glorious victory as you take each step towards Him. Today …. Today is the day that God made …
    Be blessed.
  • TODAY'S KINGDOM INSIGHTS
    RAISING GODLY CHILDREN IN MODERN TIMES
    SERMON TEXT:
    Deuteronomy 6:6–7
    «"These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children..."»
    THE GREATEST LEGACY IS NOT WEALTH, BUT GODLINESS
    We live in a generation where children are surrounded by influences that compete for their hearts. Social media, entertainment, peer pressure, and worldly ideologies speak to them every day. Many parents work hard to provide food, education, and comfort, yet neglect the spiritual formation of their children.
    A child may know mathematics, science, and technology, yet remain ignorant of God. Such success is incomplete.
    The future of the Church, the family, and society depends largely on how we raise today's children. God has never called schools, governments, or social media to disciple our children first. He has entrusted that responsibility to parents and guardians.
    The question is not merely, "Are our children growing?" but "Are they growing in Christ?"
    KEY BIBLE VERSES
    1. Deuteronomy 6:6–7
    God instructed Israel to teach His Word diligently to their children at home, while traveling, before sleeping, and after waking. Godly parenting is not a Sunday activity—it is a daily lifestyle.
    Lesson:
    Faith is best transferred through consistent living, not occasional teaching.
    2. Proverbs 22:6
    «"Train up a child in the way he should go..."»
    Training requires patience, correction, instruction, and repetition. Children rarely become godly accidentally.
    3. Ephesians 6:4
    «"Bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord."»
    Parents are called not only to discipline but also to nurture with love, wisdom, and grace.
    4. Psalm 127:3
    «"Children are a heritage from the Lord."»
    Children are not burdens; they are God's precious gifts entrusted to our care.
    POINT ONE: BE THE EXAMPLE YOU WANT YOUR CHILDREN TO FOLLOW
    Children learn more from what they see than from what they hear.
    If they see prayer, they will value prayer.
    If they see honesty, they will learn integrity.
    If they see forgiveness, they will understand mercy.
    If they see hypocrisy, they may reject the faith altogether.
    Our lives are the first Bible many children will ever read.
    POINT TWO: BUILD A GOD-CENTERED HOME
    A godly home does not happen by accident.
    Create an atmosphere where:
    - Prayer is normal.
    - The Bible is read together.
    - Worship is practiced.
    - God is discussed openly.
    - Love and forgiveness are evident.
    When Christ is the center of the home, children grow with spiritual stability.
    POINT THREE: DISCIPLINE WITH LOVE, NOT ANGER
    Biblical discipline is meant to restore, not to destroy.
    Correction without love produces fear.
    Love without correction produces rebellion.
    God disciplines those He loves, and parents should reflect His heart through patient and wise correction.
    POINT FOUR: GUARD THEIR HEARTS FROM UNGODLY INFLUENCES
    Modern technology is useful, but it must never replace parental guidance.
    Children today face constant exposure to harmful content through phones, television, gaming, and the internet.
    Parents must:
    - Know what their children watch.
    - Pray with them.
    - Discuss biblical truth regularly.
    - Teach discernment.
    - Encourage friendships that strengthen faith.
    A protected heart is more valuable than unlimited freedom.
    POINT FIVE: PRAY FOR YOUR CHILDREN WITHOUT CEASING
    Some battles cannot be won by rules alone.
    They require prayer.
    Pray for:
    - Salvation
    - Wisdom
    - Purity
    - Protection
    - Divine purpose
    - Good relationships
    - Love for God
    Never underestimate the power of a praying parent.
    BIBLICAL CASE STUDY
    Hannah and Samuel (1 Samuel 1–3)
    Hannah prayed earnestly for a child and dedicated Samuel to the Lord before he was born.
    She fulfilled her promise and continually nurtured his spiritual life.
    Samuel grew to become one of Israel's greatest prophets because his foundation was laid in God's presence.
    Lesson:
    Children dedicated to God and raised in His ways can become instruments of national transformation.
    DEEP SPIRITUAL INSIGHTS
    - Every child carries a divine purpose that must be nurtured.
    - The enemy targets children because they represent the future.
    - Parenting is a sacred ministry, not merely a biological responsibility.
    - A godly generation is built through faithful discipleship at home.
    - Your greatest investment is not what you leave for your children, but what you leave in your children.
    PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS
    1. Establish daily family prayer.
    2. Read at least one Bible passage together each day.
    3. Worship together regularly.
    4. Limit harmful media influences.
    5. Bless your children with words of encouragement
    6. Lead by personal example.
    7. Pray consistently for their spiritual growth.
    8. Encourage them to serve God in the local church.
    QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION
    - Am I modeling the Christian life before my children?
    - Does my home reflect the presence of Christ?
    - What values am I intentionally teaching my children?
    - Are my children growing spiritually or merely growing physically?
    - What changes must I make to help them follow Jesus faithfully?
    POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS
    1. Father, help me become a godly example to my children.
    2. Lord, let my home become a place of prayer, peace, and Your presence.
    3. Every evil influence assigned against my children, be destroyed in Jesus' name.
    4. Lord, plant a deep love for Your Word in the hearts of my children.
    5. Father, grant my children wisdom, holiness, and discernment.
    6. Let every destiny assigned to my children by You be fulfilled.
    7. Protect my children from ungodly friendships and destructive habits.
    8. Raise my children to become faithful servants and shining lights for Christ.
    9. Let the Holy Spirit guide them in every decision they make.
    10. May generations after us continue to serve the Lord faithfully.
    OUR CHILDREN ARE TOMORROW'S CHURCH
    The battle for the next generation is being fought today.
    If we fail to disciple our children, the world will gladly shape them according to its values. But when parents intentionally raise children in the fear of the Lord, they become men and women of integrity, compassion, courage, and unwavering faith.
    Let us choose today to build homes where Christ is honored, Scripture is loved, prayer is practiced, and children are nurtured to know, love, and serve God all the days of their lives.
    Call to Action:
    Parents, guardians, grandparents, teachers, and church leaders—commit yourselves afresh to raising children who will stand firm for Christ. Begin today. Pray with them, teach them God's Word, live as an example before them, and trust the Holy Spirit to shape their hearts. The seeds you plant now can produce a harvest of faithful disciples who will impact families, churches, communities, and nations for the glory of God.
    If you have not given your life to Jesus kindly do so by joining a Bible believing Church.
