Abiding That Produces Fruit
(John 15:5 NKJV)
Jesus makes it clear that spiritual fruit is the result of relationship, not effort. The branch does not strive to produce fruit; it simply remains connected to the vine. When connection is maintained, fruit comes naturally. When connection is broken, productivity ceases.
Many believers feel spiritually worn because they attempt to live for Christ without continually abiding in Him. Activity replaces intimacy, and effort replaces dependence. Yet Jesus teaches that true fruitfulness flows from remaining close—daily, intentionally, relationally.
Walking with God means valuing connection over accomplishment. When Christ is central, growth becomes the natural outcome of relationship.
