• Matthew 26:2 NASB
    “You know that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of Man is to be handed over for crucifixion.”

    Our Lord Jesus knew exactly what will happen to Him and He did not run away from it, though difficult!
    How many christians run away and complain about the difficulties because of being christian.
    But He already told us difficulties will come just because we choose Him!

    Prayer:
    John 15:20 NASB
    “Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A slave is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will keep yours also."

    May we be faithful to our christian calling including to being persecuted just like our Lord Jesus Christ. In Your Name we pray. Amen.

    THEME: THE WEIGHT OF COVENANT I

    AUTHOR: PASTOR E.A ADEBOYE

    MEMORISE: "My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips." Psalm 89:34

    READ: Genesis 17:1-8
    1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.
    2 And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.
    3 And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,
    4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.
    5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.
    6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.
    7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.
    8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.

    MESSAGE:
    In today's Bible reading, God made a covenant with Abram and promised to make him a father of many nations, then changed his name to Abraham. God never lies, so all the promises that He made to Abraham were fulfilled. Numbers 23:19 says: "God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?" When God makes a covenant with a person, He always fulfils His part, and this gives the fellow access to everything he or she will ever need on earth. These things include long life, prosperity, favour, blessings, joy, peace, divine health, and everything good. The devil, on the other hand, is unable to keep any covenant he makes. He breaks his promises at will because he is a liar and the father of lies (John 8:44).

    People often enter into covenants with other parties to receive something from them, while also giving something in return. The real weight of a covenant, however, comes when one of the parties involved is unable to fulfil their obligations. In most cases, a heavy weight of death is the consequence for breaking a covenant.

    When people join secret societies, they enter into covenants. When they do not do the things they are asked to do in the group, the penalty is usually death. You might be asking yourself, "Why would anybody want to join a cult knowing that it could lead to their death?" Some people claim that they join secret societies because they need protection, while others say that it is for prosperity and other benefits. It is important to note that the devil lures them into such societies with the promise of those things, but in return, he takes their souls and destroys them. What shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul (Matthew 16:26)? A soul is too heavy a weight for anyone to surrender to the devil.

    Beloved, do not allow the devil to tempt you into establishing an evil covenant with empty promises, and if you have entered into any covenant with hell and signed a pact with satan, Jesus can set you free if you run to Him. He will not cast away anyone who comes to Him (John 6:37). I pray that the Lord will establish His covenant of peace with you and your household, in Jesus' name.

    KEY POINT:
    Any covenant that is made with the devil is based on lies.

    BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
    Jeremiah 33-36

    HYMN 11: STANDING ON THE PROMISES OF CHRIST MY KING
    1 Standing on the promises of Christ my King,
    Through eternal ages let His praises ring,
    Glory in the highest, I will shout and sing,
    Standing on the promises of God.

    Chorus:
    Standing, standing,
    Standing on the promises of God my Saviour;
    Standing, standing,
    I’m standing on the promises of God.

    2 Standing on the promises that cannot fail,
    When the howling storms of doubt and fear assail,
    By the living Word of God I shall prevail,
    Standing on the promises of God.

    3 Standing on the promises I now can see
    Perfect, present cleansing in the blood for me;
    Standing in the liberty where Christ makes free,
    Standing on the promises of God.

    4 Standing on the promises of Christ the Lord,
    Bound to Him eternally by love’s strong cord,
    Overcoming daily with the Spirit’s sword,
    Standing on the promises of God.

    5 Standing on the promises I shall not fall,
    List’ning every moment to the Spirit’s call.
    Resting in my Saviour as my All in all,
    Standing on the promises of God.

  • Matthew 18:21-35

    Remember the rules of understanding when the Apostle Peter speaks. 1. It's usually emphatic. 2. It's often the entirely the wrong thing to say in the moment. Or, 3. It is usually entirely wrong. And those rules are not broken here. When he asks Jesus how many times we are to forgive our brother he adds a detail.

    You see, the more liberal of Jewish scholars then believed that forgiveness could be extended to an individual in three separate incidents. In Peter's emphatic nature he says, Lord if i double the three and add one, is that sufficient?

    And of course this is Peter, so naturally he is wrong on this issue. Jesus said, I'm not giving the number because this isn't about the number this is about being able to forgive from your heart. And don't do a Peter and assume that Jesus is teaching that upon the 50th incident an individual wrongs you, that's it, you don't have to forgive them.

    So Jesus tells a parable about forgiveness that should chill you to the bone. A king is settling accounts and collecting what is owed him. One servant owed him 10000 talents of silver and this is more than 160,000 years of wages. So when the servant begged for mercy the king forgave him.

    Now this debt-free man goes out and about he finds another servant who owes him roughly 100 days of wages. And this servant after begging for the same mercy he knew this servant had received earlier was put in jail. Now, servants talk. And some of them got together and informed the king.

    The king was angry and called the forgiven servant to stand before Him. The king then reinstated the debt that would imprison him, his wife and his children on a permanent basis. Why? Because this individual could not extend the same forgiveness he himself received.

    And then Jesus emphasizes this,

    My heavenly Father will also do the same to you, if each of you does not forgive his brother from your heart.”

    God has forgiven us. But the warning comes, if you aren't willing to forgive a wrong done against you, if you're unwilling to extend that love and forgiveness you were offered you can't be a true believer in Christ. That's right, our salvation can be affected by our failure to proffer forgiveness from the heart.

    It's a heavy cost to forgive, it's an even heavier cost to refuse to forgive those who sinned against you. Every time I think about horrible things that others have done to me I have to remember that no one has wronged me more than I have wronged God.

    Keep that in mind the next time you attempt to question praying for your enemies. It does not matter what they did, it only matters that you forgive them for it.

    [21] Then Peter came up and said to Him, “Lord, how many times shall my brother sin against me and I still forgive him? Up to seven times?” [22] Jesus *said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy-seven times. [23] “For this reason the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his slaves. [24] And when he had begun to settle them, one who owed him ten thousand talents was brought to him. [25] But since he did not have the means to repay, his master commanded that he be sold, along with his wife and children and all that he had, and repayment be made. [26] So the slave fell to the ground and prostrated himself before him, saying, ‘Have patience with me and I will repay you everything.’ [27] And the master of that slave felt compassion, and he released him and forgave him the debt. [28] But that slave went out and found one of his fellow slaves who owed him a hundred denarii; and he seized him and began to choke him, saying, ‘Pay back what you owe!’ [29] So his fellow slave fell to the ground and began to plead with him, saying, ‘Have patience with me and I will repay you.’ [30] But he was unwilling, and went and threw him in prison until he would pay back what was owed. [31] So when his fellow slaves saw what had happened, they were deeply grieved and came and reported to their master all that had happened. [32] Then summoning him, his master *said to him, ‘You wicked slave, I forgave you all that debt because you pleaded with me. [33] Should you not also have had mercy on your fellow slave, in the same way that I had mercy on you?’ [34] And his master, moved with anger, handed him over to the torturers until he would repay all that was owed him. [35] My heavenly Father will also do the same to you, if each of you does not forgive his brother from your heart.”

  • Good morning, brethren.
    1. Morning devotion for today.

    MD.i. MORNING TEA
    THE WORD FOR TODAY
    WEDNESDAY AUGUST 12, 2O26.
    "WORKING IN THE KINGDOM (3)"

    ‘The father [or mother] of a righteous man has great joy...’ Proverbs 23:24 NIV.

    THE HARDEST work is sometimes the most overlooked work. A husband came home from work one day and the house was an absolute mess. Clothes were strewn all over the floor, washing up filled the sink, the kids were crying, the beds were unmade, the bathroom smelled badly and the TV set was blaring. When he asked his wife what was going on, she replied, ‘You know how you ask me every night what I did all day? Well, today I didn’t do it.’ If you’re a stay-at-home mum or dad, God considers your work to be important. It’s more important to the future than just about any other profession—because you’re determining the quality of the next generation. Martin Luther said, ‘What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord.’ One day God will say, ‘Well done,’ to parents who cared for children—bathing them, feeding them, cleaning up after them—when they were tired and thought nobody was looking. Somebody is looking. Somebody is keeping track. It is worth it! You are the one who makes your work significant—not the other way round. When you discover the gifts God has given you and the passions He has placed within you, and put them to work in the service of values you deeply believe in—you are ‘working for God’ in the truest sense. So each day ask God to make your work go well. And try to identify the larger picture in your work that makes it a ‘calling.’

    *HEAVEN: THE PERMANENT RESIDENCE OF THE BELIEVERS*

    *TEXT:* JOHN 14:1-6.

    1Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
    2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
    3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
    4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
    5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
    6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me

    *Timeless Truth:*_"But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city"_ (Hebrews 11:16).

    *INTRODUCTION*

    Jim Reeves, in one of his classics, composed an all time beautiful and inspired song about heaven. "I have heard of a land;
    On a faraway strand
    'Tis a beautiful home of the soul;
    Built by Jesus on high
    There we never shall die
    'Tis the land where we never grow old.
    When our work here is done;
    And the life crown is won;
    And our troubles and trials are o'er;
    All our sorrow will end
    And our voices will blend
    With the loved ones who've gone on before".
    The children of Israel ate manna in the wilderness and not one of them fell sick for 40 years and neither did their cloth fade according to the Scriptures. The food of heaven and the environment of heaven will be such that the inhabitants will never grow old, but remain young, healthy and fresh throughout eternity. Every attempt by any mortal to describe heaven is like a blind man describing the colour of a beautiful house. It is easier to think and plan for what you see than what you don't see no matter how real. Hence, there is need for constant reminder, refocusing and reconsecration to make heaven, less our vision of the invisible and eternal things give way to the vision of visible temporary things. *"For truly, if they (the heroes of faith) had been mindful of that country (the world) from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned"* (Hebrews 11:15).

    *1. The Admonition on Faith*

    a. Man is consciously or unconsciously a slave to what he believes whether true or false. The person who does good or evil believes that it will pay him. The person who serves God or does otherwise believes that is the best thing to do, all things being equal. The only person who could experientially and authoritatively speak about heaven is the person who lived there for an innumerable number of years and had visited the earth. Jesus Christ challenged the faith of His disciples to fully and truly believe, not only in the reality of heaven, but what heaven offers. The thought of Jesus Christ leaving them for heaven was disturbing and troublesome. However, the thought of heaven is comforting above all troubles on earth. *"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me"*.
    b. Jesus Christ said He came from heaven. Moses claimed He saw God come from heaven on the mount of Sinai. At the mount of transfiguration, three apostles said they saw the glory of heaven on Jesus, Elijah and Moses. John the Apostle emphatically said *"I John saw heaven open"*. Revelation also said that as God alone created the universe without any assistance from the angels, God Himself created heaven. *"Whose Builder and the Maker is God"*. When there is faith in God and consequently in heaven, all earthly glory and sorrows fade into insignificance.

    *Question*

    Is heaven and its glory real to you? Are you focused on making it by all means?

    *2. The Assurance for the Faithful*

    There is a Revelation about heaven that no other prophet could give except an eye witness. There is an abundance of accommodation for all the saints of God. *"In my Father's house are many mansions"*. Jesus invoked His undeniable truthfulness and integrity to give us a solid assurance. *"If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you"*. Jesus is saying that there is no need to deceive His disciples. Part of the present preoccupation of Christ is building a beautiful and eternally durable unimproveable mansion for each of God's people.
    The cosmos is roughly 7 x10 to power 23 times larger than our planet, rendering Earth an invisible speck in the vast cosmic ocean. This is different from the part of the cosmos that humans'
    lenses cannot observe so far. John said *"there was no more seas"*. So the space for building mansions is inexhaustible by all the saints that ever lived.
    b. Every saint should therefore, be assured that there is an unfading and most beautiful accommodation ever, designed and built by God awaiting him for eternal dwelling. Which one is more real to you? Dream or what you see in the physical. As what you see on earth is more real than what is dreamt, much more, the life of heaven is incomparably more real than what is experienced on the planet earth. Everything in heaven is perfect that no man on earth and creature in heaven would be able to improve on it.

    *Question*

    Are you excited about heaven?

    *3. The Advent of the Forerunner*

    a. Jesus came from heaven and He is the firstborn from among the dead. He is the first to die, buried, resurrected and gone to heaven with a resurrected body. He also promised to come back to the earth with His resurrected glorified body. *"And if I go and prepare a place for you"*. Did He truly go as promised? Since He fulfilled the promise to go to heaven He will no doubt fulfill other promises attached. *"I will come again"*. He did not say He "may come again". He was very
    definite and certain. When He comes again for the Church, represented by the disciples He was speaking to, what will He do? *"And receive you unto myself"*. He did not say he would come and take them, but rather come and receive them. This is Rapture being referred to in which Jesus in the sky will receive the saints to heaven as a host comes out of his chamber to receive His special guest or visitors to his house. (1 Thessalonians 4:14-17). *"That where I am, there ye may be also"*.

    *Question*

    Are you always watchful to make sure you are ever ready?

    *4. The Answer to the Forgetful*

    You will be surprised at the kind of question the once doubting Thomas was asking. *"Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?"*. He was there when Nicodemus was lectured by Christ on how to get to heaven. He was there when Jesus preached the longest sermon on the Mount as to the qualification for heaven. He was there when Jesus said *"No man has seen God at all times"*. Preachers should not assume that their followers fully understand the spiritual things they are teaching. Spiritual truth must be repeatedly read and taught over and over until it turns to conviction. Jesus is the only true way to heaven.

    *Question*

    What makes someone qualified for heaven?

    *Prayer Points*

    1.Lord, I praise You for the best alternative to this earth You have provided for me. Help me never to miss it .
    2.Refocus my desire and affection on heaven and heavenly things afresh and help me that it will be my primary pursuit and vision .
    3.Keep me from being deceived and distracted from heavenly things by the glamour of this world .
    4.Search out Your people and remove all things in our lives that will make entering heaven impossible .

    ```KEY VERSE:``` _*"In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you" (JOHN 14:2).*_
    *D. L. Moody, the famous evangelist, once said before his death, "Someday you will read in the papers that D. L. Moody of East Northfield is dead. Don't you believe a word of it! At that moment, I shall be more alive than I am now. I shall have gone up higher, that is all, out of this old clay tenement into a house that is immortal, a body that death cannot touch, that sin cannot taint; a body fashioned like unto His glorious body." Moody understood the truth that heaven is not a vague idea but a real, prepared place for those who belong to Christ. He had no fear of death because he knew that Jesus had already secured for him an eternal home.*
    *In today's text, Jesus gives the same assurance to His disciples: He has gone ahead to prepare a place for them, and He will return to take them there. He speaks words of comfort to His troubled disciples. He tells them not to be afraid because His Father's house is big enough to accommodate all those who are qualified, and that He is going to prepare the place for them. More than that, He promises to return and bring them to be with Him forever. When Thomas questions the way to this place, Jesus makes a life-changing declaration: "...I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" (John 14:6).*
    *Heaven is not an accidental destination. It is a prepared place for prepared people. Jesus makes it clear that He is the only Way to this eternal home. Today, many believe that all roads lead to heaven, but Christ's words leave no room for confusion. Only those who accept Him and live for Him will enter the place He has prepared.*
    *This truth should give us confidence and peace as believers in Christ's return. Just as a traveller finds joy knowing a home awaits at the end of his journey, we too should endure life's trials knowing that heaven is real and waiting for us. However, this is also a call for readiness, as only those who are prepared in Christ will enter there. Heaven is not for the undecided or the uncommitted; it is for those who know and follow Christ. It is for those who have let go of the world, let in Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour and live for Him consistently.*
    It is not all things that glitters that is gold. God is loving, He has great plans for His children. However, no parent toils on a child who decides to disobey instructions. Solomon was a beloved child of God. He found favour with God because David his father obeyed God. Your Christian parents, pastors, teachers and elders are sent to correct you. Don't despise their correction.
    Though God is merciful, yet the salvation of your parents doesn't guarantee your protection from the wiles of the devil. Solomon allowed his great wisdom to control him. He forgot God and embraced popularity and riches. God was angry with him and punished him severely. God is not a respecter of persons. He punishes every sinner or backslider.
    *Avoid the danger ahead! Sin leads to heavy consequences. Such consequences could come in the form of sickness, failure in examination, oppression or death (physical and eternal). Return to God your Maker, He loves you. Don't allow your worldly wisdom, pride or riches of your parents to take you to hell. Let the blood of Jesus wash you now.*
    2. Morning Prayer for today.
    MP.i. Morning Prayer
    [It is of] the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. [They are] new every morning: great [is] thy faithfulness. ⏤ Lamentations 3:22-23
    The Christian life is one of gratitude. A heart that is constantly overflowing with thankfulness is a heart close to God. ⏤ A.W. Tozer
    O God, giver of all good and fountain of all mercy, we thank You for Your grace and the many ways You show Your care for us. Your faithfulness never fails. Your mercies are new every morning, fresh every moment, more than we can count. What can we give You in return for all Your goodness to us? We have nothing to offer but the poor love of our hearts, and we give that to You. Grant us more and more the spirit of praise and thanksgiving. Teach us to sing even when tears choke our songs. Give us songs in the night. Teach us how to rejoice, even in care and sorrow.
    We thank You for our home and all it means to us. You have filled our lives with countless blessings through the love that unites us as a family. Our home is a little bit of Your love poured into our hearts. We thank You for the shelter our home provides and for the gentle affections that bind us together. May our home grow sweeter as the days pass. Make our home life more loving, patient, and kind. May our love be less selfish and more like the love of Jesus.
    We ask for special blessings for this day. We will face dangers we are unaware of; protect us from them. We are vulnerable to accidents wherever we go; defend us from them. Grant us the grace to walk through the moral challenges around us without being harmed by them. Give Your angels charge over us to keep us in all Your ways. Lead us wherever we go so that we may not stumble. Make us strong for holy service. Let Your protection be over us all day, and give us strength for every duty. We ask all this in Jesus' precious name. Amen.
    Good morning, brethren. 1. Morning devotion for today. MD.i. 😀🌹🎀🎁💝🌺MORNING TEA THE WORD FOR TODAY WEDNESDAY AUGUST 12, 2O26. "WORKING IN THE KINGDOM (3)" ‘The father [or mother] of a righteous man has great joy...’ Proverbs 23:24 NIV. THE HARDEST work is sometimes the most overlooked work. A husband came home from work one day and the house was an absolute mess. Clothes were strewn all over the floor, washing up filled the sink, the kids were crying, the beds were unmade, the bathroom smelled badly and the TV set was blaring. When he asked his wife what was going on, she replied, ‘You know how you ask me every night what I did all day? Well, today I didn’t do it.’ If you’re a stay-at-home mum or dad, God considers your work to be important. It’s more important to the future than just about any other profession—because you’re determining the quality of the next generation. Martin Luther said, ‘What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord.’ One day God will say, ‘Well done,’ to parents who cared for children—bathing them, feeding them, cleaning up after them—when they were tired and thought nobody was looking. Somebody is looking. Somebody is keeping track. It is worth it! You are the one who makes your work significant—not the other way round. When you discover the gifts God has given you and the passions He has placed within you, and put them to work in the service of values you deeply believe in—you are ‘working for God’ in the truest sense. So each day ask God to make your work go well. And try to identify the larger picture in your work that makes it a ‘calling.’ Bible In A Year: Judg 7:1 – 9:33, Matt 16:13-28, Ps 119:65-72, Pro 17:23-26. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. 4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. 5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me *Timeless Truth:*_"But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city"_ (Hebrews 11:16). *INTRODUCTION* Jim Reeves, in one of his classics, composed an all time beautiful and inspired song about heaven. "I have heard of a land; On a faraway strand 'Tis a beautiful home of the soul; Built by Jesus on high There we never shall die 'Tis the land where we never grow old. When our work here is done; And the life crown is won; And our troubles and trials are o'er; All our sorrow will end And our voices will blend With the loved ones who've gone on before". The children of Israel ate manna in the wilderness and not one of them fell sick for 40 years and neither did their cloth fade according to the Scriptures. The food of heaven and the environment of heaven will be such that the inhabitants will never grow old, but remain young, healthy and fresh throughout eternity. Every attempt by any mortal to describe heaven is like a blind man describing the colour of a beautiful house. It is easier to think and plan for what you see than what you don't see no matter how real. Hence, there is need for constant reminder, refocusing and reconsecration to make heaven, less our vision of the invisible and eternal things give way to the vision of visible temporary things. *"For truly, if they (the heroes of faith) had been mindful of that country (the world) from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned"* (Hebrews 11:15). *1. The Admonition on Faith* a. Man is consciously or unconsciously a slave to what he believes whether true or false. The person who does good or evil believes that it will pay him. The person who serves God or does otherwise believes that is the best thing to do, all things being equal. The only person who could experientially and authoritatively speak about heaven is the person who lived there for an innumerable number of years and had visited the earth. Jesus Christ challenged the faith of His disciples to fully and truly believe, not only in the reality of heaven, but what heaven offers. The thought of Jesus Christ leaving them for heaven was disturbing and troublesome. However, the thought of heaven is comforting above all troubles on earth. *"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me"*. b. Jesus Christ said He came from heaven. Moses claimed He saw God come from heaven on the mount of Sinai. At the mount of transfiguration, three apostles said they saw the glory of heaven on Jesus, Elijah and Moses. John the Apostle emphatically said *"I John saw heaven open"*. Morning Prayer for today. MP.i. Morning Prayer [It is of] the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. [They are] new every morning: great [is] thy faithfulness. ⏤ Lamentations 3:22-23 The Christian life is one of gratitude. A heart that is constantly overflowing with thankfulness is a heart close to God. ⏤ A.W. Tozer O God, giver of all good and fountain of all mercy, we thank You for Your grace and the many ways You show Your care for us. Your faithfulness never fails. Your mercies are new every morning, fresh every moment, more than we can count. What can we give You in return for all Your goodness to us? We have nothing to offer but the poor love of our hearts, and we give that to You. Grant us more and more the spirit of praise and thanksgiving. Teach us to sing even when tears choke our songs. Give us songs in the night. Teach us how to rejoice, even in care and sorrow. We thank You for our home and all it means to us. You have filled our lives with countless blessings through the love that unites us as a family. Our home is a little bit of Your love poured into our hearts. We thank You for the shelter our home provides and for the gentle affections that bind us together. May our home grow sweeter as the days pass. Make our home life more loving, patient, and kind. May our love be less selfish and more like the love of Jesus. We ask for special blessings for this day. We will face dangers we are unaware of; protect us from them. We are vulnerable to accidents wherever we go; defend us from them. Grant us the grace to walk through the moral challenges around us without being harmed by them. Give Your angels charge over us to keep us in all Your ways. Lead us wherever we go so that we may not stumble. Make us strong for holy service. Let Your protection be over us all day, and give us strength for every duty. We ask all this in Jesus' precious name. Amen. https://www.youdevotion.com/daily-prayer/miller/38/morning #taptapstudio #youdevotion.
  • DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 223
    DATE: 11TH AUGUST 2026
    TOPIC: COME OUT FROM AMONG THEM
    ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:2 CORINTHIANS 6:17 (NKJV)
    “Therefore ‘Come out from among them and be separate,’ says the Lord. ‘Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.’”
    Devotional message
    God raises people within a generation to become instruments of transformation and deliverance. Therefore, we must arise and take our rightful place.
    But there is a condition: if you must become a deliverer, you cannot continue participating in the bondage from which you are called to deliver others.
    The Apostle Paul commands us, “Come out from among them and be separate.” This is a call to separation—not isolation from people, but separation from the sinful patterns, values, and practices that oppose God.
    Moses provides a powerful example. Although he had been raised in Pharaoh's household, there came a time when he refused to identify himself with the privileges and identity of Egypt. Hebrews 11:24–25 tells us that by faith Moses, when he had become of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin.
    Child of God, you cannot become a saviour while remaining a captive to the same darkness. You cannot effectively pull someone out of a pit while you are still sitting in the same pit. You cannot lead people into holiness while deliberately embracing immorality. You cannot preach freedom while remaining enslaved to sin. You cannot become light to a generation while continually participating in the works of darkness.
    Scripture says, “For you are a slave to whatever controls you.” (2 Peter 2:19). Whatever you continually submit yourself to can eventually gain mastery over you.
    Therefore, when others are complaining, do not automatically join them. When others are compromising, choose obedience. When others are engaging in immorality, choose purity. When others are embracing corruption, choose integrity. When others are walking in darkness, choose to walk in the light.
    This does not mean that we become self-righteous or condemn those who are struggling. Rather, it means that we position ourselves in Christ so that we can become instruments through whom God brings them out.
    Light does not overcome darkness by becoming dark.
    Jesus said, “You are the light of the world.” (Matthew 5:14). The reason light is valuable in darkness is because it remains light. If the light becomes darkness, it loses its ability to illuminate.
    Child of God, your generation needs people who will be different. Your family needs someone who will break ungodly patterns. Your community needs someone who will choose righteousness. Your workplace needs someone who will uphold integrity. Your nation needs men and women who will refuse corruption and pursue justice.
    You cannot deliver others from the darkness you have refused to leave.
    Prayer:
    Heavenly Father,Thank You for calling me to become an instrument of transformation in my generation. May I never become a captive of the very darkness You have called me to confront. Keep me separated unto You so that You can work through me to bring freedom, restoration, and transformation to others.In Jesus' name, Amen.
  • TODAY'S KINGDOM INSIGHTS:
    SERMON TOPIC
    CONTENTMENT IN AN AGE OF MATERIALISM.
    THEME :
    Learning to be satisfied with God while living in a world that constantly tells us, “You need more.”
    Key Text:
    1 Timothy 6:6–8
    > “But godliness with contentment is great gain.”
    1. WHEN IS ENOUGH REALLY ENOUGH?
    We live in an age where “more” has become a god.
    More money.
    More clothes.
    More followers.
    More cars.
    More houses.
    More recognition.
    More likes.
    More possessions.
    The world keeps telling us:
    “When you get that car, you will be happy.”
    “When you build that house, you will be fulfilled.”
    “When you become famous, you will finally matter.”
    But after getting one thing, we discover that we immediately want another.
    That is the trap of materialism.
    Materialism says, “I have more, therefore I am more.”
    But Jesus says:
    > “A man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.” — Luke 12:15
    You can have a beautiful house and still have a broken home.
    You can have money in your account and emptiness in your soul.
    You can have thousands of followers and still feel completely alone.
    You can own many things without allowing those things to own your heart.
    Contentment is not the absence of ambition. Contentment is the ability to pursue God's purpose without allowing possessions to become your master.
    2. WHAT IS BIBLICAL CONTENTMENT?
    Contentment is a settled confidence that God is enough, even while we are trusting Him for more.
    Contentment does not mean:
    You should stop working.
    You should stop dreaming.
    You should stop improving yourself.
    You should refuse legitimate opportunities.
    You should remain in poverty when God gives you wisdom and opportunity to prosper.
    Rather, contentment means:
    “I will work for more, but I will not worship more.”
    “I will pursue success, but success will not become my god.”
    “I will appreciate what I have while trusting God for what I don't yet have.”
    Paul declared:
    > “For I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.” — Philippians 4:11
    Notice the word learned.
    Contentment is learned.
    Nobody automatically becomes content.
    It requires spiritual maturity.
    3. KEY BIBLE VERSES
    A. 1 Timothy 6:6–8 — GODLINESS WITH CONTENTMENT IS GREAT GAIN
    Paul says:
    > “But godliness with contentment is great gain.”
    Paul does not say money is evil.
    The Bible says:
    > “The love of money is the root of all evil.” — 1 Timothy 6:10
    The problem is not having possessions.
    The problem is possessions having you.
    Money is a useful servant but a terrible master.
    When money becomes your identity, you become its slave.
    B. Hebrews 13:5 — GOD'S PRESENCE IS GREATER THAN POSSESSIONS
    > “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."
    Notice God's solution to covetousness:
    His presence.
    Why should I not destroy myself trying to possess everything?
    Because I already possess something greater:
    God is with me.
    If God is with you, you are not empty.
    C. Matthew 6:33 — SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM
    > “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
    Jesus did not say:
    “Seek possessions first.”
    He said:
    “Seek the Kingdom first.”
    When priorities are right, possessions find their proper place.
    4. FOUR DANGERS OF MATERIALISM
    POINT ONE:
    MATERIALISM MAKES US CONFUSE POSSESSIONS WITH PURPOSE
    Some people spend their entire lives acquiring things without discovering why God gave them life.
    They know what they want to own, but they don't know what they were created to accomplish.
    Your purpose is bigger than your possessions.
    You were not born merely to:
    Buy a car
    Build a house
    Wear expensive clothes
    Travel around the world
    Accumulate wealth
    You were created to know God, serve Him, love people, fulfill your assignment, and leave an impact.
    Jesus asked:
    > “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” — Mark 8:36
    Never exchange your soul for things that will eventually perish.
    POINT TWO:
    MATERIALISM CREATES THE NEVER-ENOUGH SYNDROME
    Materialism says:
    “Just one more.”
    You buy one phone.
    Then another model comes out.
    You want it.
    You buy one car.
    Then you see another one.
    You want it.
    You get one house.
    Then you start comparing your house with somebody else's.
    This produces a dangerous cycle:
    Desire → acquisition → temporary satisfaction → comparison → dissatisfaction → another desire.
    Ecclesiastes 5:10 says:
    > “He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver.”
    There is a level of wealth that money cannot solve.
    If your heart is empty, increasing your possessions will not automatically fill it.
    Only God can satisfy the deepest hunger of the human soul.
    POINT THREE:
    CONTENTMENT PROTECTS US FROM COMPARISON
    Social media has made comparison easier than ever.
    You see someone's wedding.
    Someone else's car.
    Someone's ministry.
    Someone's business.
    Someone's vacation.
    Someone's new house.
    Someone's achievement.
    And suddenly you look at your own life and say:
    “I am behind.”
    But remember:
    You are comparing your real life with someone else's public presentation.
    You don't know their struggles.
    You don't know their sacrifices.
    You don't know what happens behind the camera.
    The Bible says:
    > “But they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.” — 2 Corinthians 10:12
    Comparison can make you despise a blessing because it does not look like somebody else's blessing.
    Thank God for what He has given you.
    Improve where you can.
    Grow where you must.
    But don't allow comparison to steal your gratitude.
    POINT FOUR:
    CONTENTMENT TEACHES US TO SEE POSSESSIONS AS STEWARDSHIP
    Everything we have ultimately belongs to God.
    Psalm 24:1 says:
    > “The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof.”
    Your money belongs to God.
    Your house belongs to God.
    Your talents belong to God.
    Your time belongs to God.
    Your influence belongs to God.
    Your opportunities belong to God.
    Therefore, the question is not merely:
    “How much do I have?”
    The greater question is:
    “What am I doing with what God has placed in my hands?”
    God does not bless us merely to make us comfortable.
    He blesses us so that we can become channels of blessing.
    5. BIBLICAL CASE STUDY —
    THE RICH FOOL.
    Jesus told the story in Luke 12:13–21.
    A rich man's land produced abundantly.
    He said:
    > “I will pull down my barns, and build greater.”
    His entire conversation was about my crops, my barns, my goods, my soul.
    But God said:
    > “Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee."
    What was the man's problem?
    He had possessions but no eternal perspective.
    He had storage for his wealth but no preparation for his soul.
    He planned for retirement but failed to prepare for eternity.
    He accumulated things but neglected God.
    Jesus concluded:
    > “So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”
    The lesson:
    It is possible to be rich toward the world and poor toward God.
    6. DEEP SPIRITUAL INSIGHTS
    1. CONTENTMENT IS NOT LAZINESS
    A contented Christian can still be hardworking.
    Joseph was content in God's presence even in prison, yet he eventually became a ruler.
    Paul worked.
    David worked.
    Proverbs praises diligence.
    Contentment does not kill ambition.
    It purifies ambition.
    2. GRATITUDE IS THE ANTIDOTE TO GREED
    When you constantly focus on what you don't have, you become blind to what God has already done.
    Start counting your blessings.
    You may discover that you have been complaining about things you once prayed for.
    3. YOUR VALUE DOES NOT COME FROM WHAT YOU OWN
    You are valuable because you were created in God's image.
    Your worth is not determined by your bank balance.
    Not by your clothes.
    Not by your followers.
    Not by your car.
    Not by your academic qualifications.
    Not by your social status.
    Your identity must be rooted in Christ.
    4. GOD CAN GIVE YOU MORE WITHOUT ALLOWING MORE TO DESTROY YOU
    God is not against prosperity.
    But God wants prosperity with purpose.
    He wants blessing without bondage.
    Increase without idolatry.
    Wealth without wickedness.
    Success without losing your soul.
    The blessing is dangerous when the blessing becomes more important than the Blesser.
    7. PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS
    1. Practice daily gratitude
    Every day, intentionally thank God for at least three things.
    2. Stop unnecessary comparison
    You don't need to compete with everybody.
    3. Live within your means
    Don't destroy your financial future trying to impress people.
    4. Learn to distinguish NEEDS from WANTS
    Ask yourself:
    “Do I need this, or do I simply desire this because somebody else has it?”
    5. Give generously
    Giving breaks the grip of materialism.
    6. Invest in eternal things
    Invest in:
    God's Kingdom
    People
    Your character
    Your family
    Your spiritual growth
    Your God-given assignment
    7. Enjoy what God has given you
    Contentment means appreciating today's blessing while preparing responsibly for tomorrow.
    8. QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION
    1. What possession occupies my thoughts more than God does?
    2. Am I pursuing success or worshipping success?
    3. Do I compare my life with others?
    4. If God does not give me everything I desire, will I still worship Him?
    5. Am I grateful for what I already have?
    6. Does my money serve God's purpose or merely my pleasure?
    7. If everything I owned disappeared tomorrow, would Christ still be enough for me?
    That last question deserves serious reflection.
    9. POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS
    1
    Father, deliver my heart from greed, covetousness, and unhealthy materialism, in Jesus' name.
    2
    Lord, teach me to appreciate what You have given me without losing my desire to fulfill my purpose.
    3
    Father, remove every spirit of comparison from my heart. Help me to celebrate Your work in my life.
    4
    Lord, let money never become my master. Give me wisdom to use every blessing for Your glory.
    5
    Father, give me the grace to seek Your Kingdom above material possessions.
    6
    Lord, make me rich toward You and useful to humanity.
    7
    Father, give me contentment in every season—when I have much and when I have little.
    10. STRONG CLOSING — WHAT DO YOU REALLY NEED?
    Beloved, the world will never stop telling you:
    “You need more.”
    But the Holy Spirit is asking:
    “Do you have Me?”
    You may not have everything you want.
    But if you have Christ, you have the greatest treasure.
    You may not live in the biggest house.
    But you can have the presence of God in your home.
    You may not drive the most expensive car.
    But you can walk in God's purpose.
    You may not have millions in your account.
    But you can possess something money cannot buy:
    peace with God, joy in your heart, purpose in your life, and hope for eternity.
    So pursue excellence.
    Work hard.
    Build.
    Create.
    Dream.
    Invest.
    Grow.
    Prosper.
    But never allow material things to become your master.
    Have possessions, but don't let possessions have you.
    Seek success, but don't sacrifice your soul for it.
    Desire increase, but remain grateful in the process.
    And above everything else:
    > “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness.” — Matthew 6:33
    FINAL DECLARATION
    I will not be controlled by materialism.
    I will not measure my worth by what I possess.
    I will not allow comparison to steal my joy.
    I will be grateful for what God has given me.
    I will pursue God's purpose for my life.
    I will use my resources to bless others.
    And whether I have much or little, Christ will remain my greatest treasure.
    In Jesus' mighty name. Amen!
He said: > “I will pull down my barns, and build greater.” His entire conversation was about my crops, my barns, my goods, my soul. But God said: > “Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee." What was the man's problem? He had possessions but no eternal perspective. He had storage for his wealth but no preparation for his soul. He planned for retirement but failed to prepare for eternity. He accumulated things but neglected God. Jesus concluded: > “So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.” The lesson: It is possible to be rich toward the world and poor toward God. 6. DEEP SPIRITUAL INSIGHTS 1. CONTENTMENT IS NOT LAZINESS A contented Christian can still be hardworking. Joseph was content in God's presence even in prison, yet he eventually became a ruler. Paul worked. David worked. Proverbs praises diligence. Contentment does not kill ambition. It purifies ambition. 2. GRATITUDE IS THE ANTIDOTE TO GREED When you constantly focus on what you don't have, you become blind to what God has already done. Start counting your blessings. You may discover that you have been complaining about things you once prayed for. 3. YOUR VALUE DOES NOT COME FROM WHAT YOU OWN You are valuable because you were created in God's image. Your worth is not determined by your bank balance. Not by your clothes. Not by your followers. Not by your car. Not by your academic qualifications. Not by your social status. Your identity must be rooted in Christ. 4. GOD CAN GIVE YOU MORE WITHOUT ALLOWING MORE TO DESTROY YOU God is not against prosperity. But God wants prosperity with purpose. He wants blessing without bondage. Increase without idolatry. Wealth without wickedness. Success without losing your soul. The blessing is dangerous when the blessing becomes more important than the Blesser. 7. PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS 1. Practice daily gratitude Every day, intentionally thank God for at least three things. 2. Stop unnecessary comparison You don't need to compete with everybody. 3. Live within your means Don't destroy your financial future trying to impress people. 4. Learn to distinguish NEEDS from WANTS Ask yourself: “Do I need this, or do I simply desire this because somebody else has it?” 5. Give generously Giving breaks the grip of materialism. 6. Invest in eternal things Invest in: God's Kingdom People Your character Your family Your spiritual growth Your God-given assignment 7. Enjoy what God has given you Contentment means appreciating today's blessing while preparing responsibly for tomorrow. 8. QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION 1. What possession occupies my thoughts more than God does? 2. Am I pursuing success or worshipping success? 3. Do I compare my life with others? 4. If God does not give me everything I desire, will I still worship Him? 5. Am I grateful for what I already have? 6. Does my money serve God's purpose or merely my pleasure? 7. If everything I owned disappeared tomorrow, would Christ still be enough for me? That last question deserves serious reflection. 9. POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS 1 Father, deliver my heart from greed, covetousness, and unhealthy materialism, in Jesus' name. 2 Lord, teach me to appreciate what You have given me without losing my desire to fulfill my purpose. 3 Father, remove every spirit of comparison from my heart. Help me to celebrate Your work in my life. 4 Lord, let money never become my master. Give me wisdom to use every blessing for Your glory. 5 Father, give me the grace to seek Your Kingdom above material possessions. 6 Lord, make me rich toward You and useful to humanity. 7 Father, give me contentment in every season—when I have much and when I have little. 10. STRONG CLOSING — WHAT DO YOU REALLY NEED? Beloved, the world will never stop telling you: “You need more.” But the Holy Spirit is asking: “Do you have Me?” You may not have everything you want. But if you have Christ, you have the greatest treasure. You may not live in the biggest house. But you can have the presence of God in your home. You may not drive the most expensive car. But you can walk in God's purpose. You may not have millions in your account. But you can possess something money cannot buy: peace with God, joy in your heart, purpose in your life, and hope for eternity. So pursue excellence. Work hard. Build. Create. Dream. Invest. Grow. Prosper. But never allow material things to become your master. Have possessions, but don't let possessions have you. Seek success, but don't sacrifice your soul for it. Desire increase, but remain grateful in the process. And above everything else: > “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness.” — Matthew 6:33 FINAL DECLARATION I will not be controlled by materialism. I will not measure my worth by what I possess. I will not allow comparison to steal my joy. I will be grateful for what God has given me. I will pursue God's purpose for my life. I will use my resources to bless others. And whether I have much or little, Christ will remain my greatest treasure. In Jesus' mighty name. Amen!   • Good evening, brethren.
    1. Evening devotion for today.
    ED.i. *DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST*
    (COCIN DEVOTIONAL)
    *DATE:*
    MONDAY 10TH AUGUST, 2026.
    *SUB-THEME:*
    YOUTHS: VESSELS OF GOD'S GRACE.
    *TOPIC:*
    GOD'S BATTLE AXE.
    *TEXT:*
    JEREMIAH 51:20-24.
    20. “You are My war club, My weapon for battle— with you I shatter nations, with you I destroy kingdoms,
    21. with you I shatter horse and rider, with you I shatter chariot and driver,
    22. with you I shatter man and woman, with you I shatter old man and youth, with you I shatter young man and young woman,
    23. with you I shatter shepherd and flock, with you I shatter farmer and oxen, with you I shatter governors and officials.
    24. “Before your eyes I will repay Babylon and all who live in Babylonia for all the wrong they have done in Zion,” declares the Lord.
    *TOPIC:*
    GOD'S BATTLE AXE.
    *THE MESSAGE:*
    Today's text explains that a battle axe symbolises a powerful weapon in the hands of a warrior capable of destroying strongholds. In this context, God is portrayed as the ultimate warrior, and His people are His battle axes, instruments through which He wages spiritual warfare. Just as God used David to defeat Goliath, believers, though often broken by sin or addiction, can be restored and used by God if they turn to Him. The message calls for spiritual renewal and readiness to be God's effective weapon in the battle against evil. The enemy is mainly attacking the youths through social ills: cultism, addiction, ritual acts, yahoo-yahoo plus, exam malpractice, gambling, and so on.
    How profitable are you?
    Are you entrapped? Submit to Jesus and be transformed into a useful axe for the kingdom.
    *REFLECTION:*
    You are God's battle axe.
    *PRAYER:*
    Lord, sharpen my life and make me useful. Amen.
    *MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:*
    2 TIMOTHY 2:21.
    "If a man cleanses himself from the latter, he will be instruments for noble purposes, made holy, useful to the Master, and prepared.
    *TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:*
    JEREMIAH 33-35.
    ED.ii. WHEN THE LIGHT APPEARS
    "Who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light." - 1 Peter 2:9
    You start to see things as they really are when Jesus comes into your life and when the Light appears in the darkness. You suddenly see the wickedness of the evil one. You recognize the temptations you must say 'no' to because you know they are not from God. When you are a slave to sin, you will not succeed in this. Unfortunately, most people follow sin and the evil one. He holds society and the world under his control... until people are taken out of the darkness into the Light. Then they realize that they were wrong, because their spiritual eyes are opening. The Holy Spirit speaks to them, they give their life to Jesus and start walking with Jesus.
    Set free to free others
    The evil one hates you and will try hard to regain control over you. So be careful! Once you have enjoyed the freedom, the happiness and the joy the Lord God gives, then it is the stupidest thing to follow again the evil one, just like so many people do. Stay free from that! Keep away from the hassle of the evil one and grow until you are strong enough to stand firm in authority over the evil one and his filthy powers and be able to say: Let go in Jesus' name.
    You will then commit yourself to free others from the power of the evil one. That is the call, over and over again: go, help to reach them. Come to the prayer meetings to pray for this. To free others by prayer, to cast out the powers of the evil one and to rebuke them in Jesus' name. You will see results and see people coming to Jesus. Do not forget: we are set free to free others.
    2. Evening Prayer for today.
    EP.i. Evening Prayer
    So teach [us] to number our days, that we may apply [our] hearts unto wisdom. ⏤ Psalm 90:12
    As we grow in grace, we more earnestly desire to live for the glory of our Lord. ⏤ Charles Spurgeon
    We thank You, Father, for another day. Each day You give us is a gift, meant to be used for You. They are not ours to waste in idleness, nor to fill with selfishness, or stain with sin. They are ours to spend in holy obedience and loving service.
    Each day comes to us like a blank page on which to write words of beauty that others may read, and that will be read at last when the books are opened in the final judgment. They come like ships for us to fill with good things, to be sent away to bless others.
    Now we bring another day to You. If we have written anything on the page that is not uplifting and beautiful, may You blot it out. If there are stains, may You remove them. If this day contains any messages for the judgment day that would bring us shame, may You erase them.
    If we have filled this day with selfishness instead of deeds of love, we ask for Your forgiveness. We cannot have the day back to correct it, so we ask You to turn its evil into good, just as You turned the sin of Joseph’s brothers into something good in the end. As we turn from this day, never to see it again until the judgment, we entrust it to You.
    You are merciful and gracious. Bless our home tonight. You who do not slumber, keep us in Your holy care and let no harm come near us. Bless us as a family and grant us Your peace. Prepare us for tomorrow, and when the new day comes, grant us Your presence and grace for all it holds. We ask this in the name of our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
  • Daily Devotion — August 9 | Acts 16:18 (NKJV)
    The Authority of Jesus Christ
    Acts 16 tells of a young slave girl who was possessed by a spirit of divination. Although she followed Paul and his companions, her words were inspired by an evil spirit rather than by God. After many days, Paul, filled with righteous concern, commanded the spirit to leave her in the name of Jesus Christ. Immediately, the evil spirit departed because it could not stand against the authority of Jesus.
    This miracle demonstrates that the power of Jesus Christ is greater than every force of darkness. Paul did not rely on his own strength or ability. He acted by the authority of the risen Lord, whose name brings freedom and victory.
    For believers today, this passage reminds us that Jesus has complete authority over every power of evil. We can live with confidence, knowing that Christ has already won the victory. As we remain close to Him, we can trust His power to bring freedom, hope, and peace into every area of our lives.
    Reflection Questions
    1. Do I trust in the authority of Jesus over every challenge I face?
    2. Am I depending on Christ's power instead of my own strength?
    3. How can I live more confidently in the victory Jesus has won?
    Prayer
    Lord God, thank You for the authority and power of Jesus Christ. Help me to trust You completely and to stand firmly in the victory You have already secured. Strengthen my faith and remind me that nothing is greater than Your power. In Jesus name Amen.
    Practical Application
    ● Pray confidently in the name of Jesus.
    ● Stand firm on God's promises when facing spiritual battles.
    ● Encourage others with the hope found in Christ's victory.
    Takeaway Thought
    The authority of Jesus brings freedom to all who trust in Him.
    SATURDAY 8TH AUGUST, 2026.
    *SUB-THEME:*
    YOUTHS: VESSELS OF GOD'S GRACE.
    *TOPIC:*
    ANSWERING THE CALL OF GOD.
    *TEXT:*
    ISAIAH 6:8-10.
    8 Then I heard the voice of the LORD as He was asking, “Whom will I send? Who will go for Us?” “Here I am!” I replied. “Send me.”
    9 “Go!” He responded. “Tell this people: “‘Keep on hearing, but do not understand; keep on seeing, but do not perceive.’
    Mat 13:14 Mar 4:12 Luk 8:10 Joh 12:40 Act 28:26 Rom 11:8 [Psa 69:23] [Jer 5:21] [Eze 12:2]
    10 Dull the mind of this people, deafen their ears, and blind their eyes. By doing so, they won’t see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their minds, turn back, and be healed.”
    Jer 5:21 [2Co 3:14] [2Co 4:4]
    *TOPIC:*
    ANSWERING THE CALL OF GOD.
    *THE MESSAGE:*
    God, in His sovereignty, has a divine purpose for every individual and desires our obedience to fulfill it. Isaiah's prompt and wholehearted response to God's call serves as a model, especially for young people. Although many fear that the call to ministry is humiliating and an obstruction to their dreams, on the contrary, it is a high and glorious calling. God's call is for everyone to serve in the area for which they are predestined. Therefore, be sensitive to recognise your area of call and serve Him with a passion and with a sense of accountability to the one who called you. What are your hopes and plans for life? Ensure they do not conflict with God's will. Besides, do not be self-centered to miss His call or direction. Is anyone confused about his call? Prayerfully seek counsel.
    *REFLECTION:*
    God does not call the qualified; He qualifies the called.
    *PRAYER:*
    Oh Lord, help me to respond to my call. Amen.
    *MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:*
    2 TIMOTHY 2:21.
    "If a man cleanses himself from the latter, he will be instruments for noble purposes, made holy, useful to the Master, and prepared to do any good work."
    *TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:*
    JEREMIAH 26-29.
    ED.ii. DELIVERED FROM SLAVERY
    "Commemorate this day, the day you came out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery, because the Lord brought you out of it with a mighty hand." - Exodus 13:3
    It was quite important for the Israelites to celebrate this day of freedom and liberation. They commemorated this day during the Easter celebration. It was to be passed on from generation to generation. The Israelites had to continuously teach their children about this and talk about it (see Deuteronomy 11: 19-21).
    Spiritual freedom
    We read throughout the book of Numbers that the living God had delivered the people of Israel from slavery. If God imprinted on His people's minds so strongly to always commemorate and remember that they were freed from slavery, how much more should God's children continually remember that they were freed from slavery by the blood of Jesus Christ? 'I am free from the burden of the evil one. I am free! I am free from the burden of sin.'
    How does someone who just came out of jail feel? Freedom is a great thing. However, spiritual freedom is even more important than the physical one. It is better to be in prison with a liberated spirit than to be outside and bound by the power of the evil one. Paul says in Romans 6:17-18: 'At one time you were held by the power of sin. But now you obey with all your heart the teaching that was given to you. Thank God for this! You were made free from the power of sin. Being right with God has power over you now.'
    Dear readers, do you still remember being a slave to sin? Do you still remember when Jesus delivered you from this? You are no longer a slave, but free from the power of sin. Jesus shouted: 'My task is fulfilled.' By doing this, Jesus broke the power of sin and is able to free everyone who comes to Him in faith and accepts Him as their personal Savior and Redeemer.
    Evening Prayer for today.
    EP.i. Evening Prayer
    In my Father's house are many mansions: if [it were ]not [so,] I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. ⏤ John 14:2
    Our prayers lay the track down which God’s power can come. Like a mighty locomotive, his power is irresistible, but it cannot reach us without rails. ⏤ Watchman Nee
    Our Father, as another week comes to a close, we are reminded that we are now closer to our eternal home than ever before—closer to our Father’s house with its many rooms, closer to the great white throne, closer to the crystal sea, closer to the end of life where we will lay down our burdens. Beyond the shadows of death lies Heaven.
    Help us to believe in the unseen things of our Christian faith and to not fear any night that leads to the dawn of Your glory. It may be that we are nearer to our heavenly home than we realize. Father, strengthen our trust. Let our spirits be firm in faith when the hour of death comes, knowing that our feet are set on the solid rock of a living faith.
    We ask You to accept and bless our week. If this week is the last one we live in this world, we leave it now with You, asking for Your gracious forgiveness for anything wrong in our conduct, words, or attitudes. We place our lives in Your hands, trusting in Your mercy. We sin many times each day. Our hope is always in Your grace. Take our week and cleanse it. May all its experiences work for our good. May the lessons we’ve learned be well remembered and never forgotten. May the work we’ve done be blessed.
    Grant us sweet, refreshing sleep tonight, and prepare us for a quiet and good Sunday filled with Your love and grace. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer. Amen.
Do you still remember when Jesus delivered you from this? You are no longer a slave, but free from the power of sin. Jesus shouted: 'My task is fulfilled.' By doing this, Jesus broke the power of sin and is able to free everyone who comes to Him in faith and accepts Him as their personal Savior and Redeemer. https://www.theblessingdevotional.com Evening Prayer for today. EP.i. Evening Prayer In my Father's house are many mansions: if [it were ]not [so,] I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. ⏤ John 14:2 Our prayers lay the track down which God’s power can come. Like a mighty locomotive, his power is irresistible, but it cannot reach us without rails. ⏤ Watchman Nee Our Father, as another week comes to a close, we are reminded that we are now closer to our eternal home than ever before—closer to our Father’s house with its many rooms, closer to the great white throne, closer to the crystal sea, closer to the end of life where we will lay down our burdens. Beyond the shadows of death lies Heaven. Help us to believe in the unseen things of our Christian faith and to not fear any night that leads to the dawn of Your glory. It may be that we are nearer to our heavenly home than we realize. Father, strengthen our trust. Let our spirits be firm in faith when the hour of death comes, knowing that our feet are set on the solid rock of a living faith. We ask You to accept and bless our week. If this week is the last one we live in this world, we leave it now with You, asking for Your gracious forgiveness for anything wrong in our conduct, words, or attitudes. We place our lives in Your hands, trusting in Your mercy. We sin many times each day. Our hope is always in Your grace. Take our week and cleanse it. May all its experiences work for our good. May the lessons we’ve learned be well remembered and never forgotten. May the work we’ve done be blessed. Grant us sweet, refreshing sleep tonight, and prepare us for a quiet and good Sunday filled with Your love and grace. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer. Amen. https://www.youdevotion.com/daily-prayer/miller/34/evening #taptapstudio #youdevotion.
  • Good evening, brethren.
    1. Evening devotion for today.
    ED.i. *DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST*
    (COCIN DEVOTIONAL)
    *DATE:*
    SATURDAY 8TH AUGUST, 2026.
    *SUB-THEME:*
    YOUTHS: VESSELS OF GOD'S GRACE.
    *TOPIC:*
    ANSWERING THE CALL OF GOD.
    *TEXT:*
    ISAIAH 6:8-10.
    8 Then I heard the voice of the LORD as He was asking, “Whom will I send? Who will go for Us?” “Here I am!” I replied. “Send me.”
    9 “Go!” He responded. “Tell this people: “‘Keep on hearing, but do not understand; keep on seeing, but do not perceive.’
    Mat 13:14 Mar 4:12 Luk 8:10 Joh 12:40 Act 28:26 Rom 11:8 [Psa 69:23] [Jer 5:21] [Eze 12:2]
    10 Dull the mind of this people, deafen their ears, and blind their eyes. By doing so, they won’t see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their minds, turn back, and be healed.”
    Jer 5:21 [2Co 3:14] [2Co 4:4]
    *TOPIC:*
    ANSWERING THE CALL OF GOD.
    *THE MESSAGE:*
    God, in His sovereignty, has a divine purpose for every individual and desires our obedience to fulfill it. Isaiah's prompt and wholehearted response to God's call serves as a model, especially for young people. Although many fear that the call to ministry is humiliating and an obstruction to their dreams, on the contrary, it is a high and glorious calling. God's call is for everyone to serve in the area for which they are predestined. Therefore, be sensitive to recognise your area of call and serve Him with a passion and with a sense of accountability to the one who called you. What are your hopes and plans for life? Ensure they do not conflict with God's will. Besides, do not be self-centered to miss His call or direction. Is anyone confused about his call? Prayerfully seek counsel.
    *REFLECTION:*
    God does not call the qualified; He qualifies the called.
    *PRAYER:*
    Oh Lord, help me to respond to my call. Amen.
    *MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:*
    2 TIMOTHY 2:21.
    "If a man cleanses himself from the latter, he will be instruments for noble purposes, made holy, useful to the Master, and prepared to do any good work."
    *TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:*
    JEREMIAH 26-29.
    ED.ii. DELIVERED FROM SLAVERY
    "Commemorate this day, the day you came out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery, because the Lord brought you out of it with a mighty hand." - Exodus 13:3
    It was quite important for the Israelites to celebrate this day of freedom and liberation. They commemorated this day during the Easter celebration. It was to be passed on from generation to generation. The Israelites had to continuously teach their children about this and talk about it (see Deuteronomy 11: 19-21).
    Spiritual freedom
    We read throughout the book of Numbers that the living God had delivered the people of Israel from slavery. If God imprinted on His people's minds so strongly to always commemorate and remember that they were freed from slavery, how much more should God's children continually remember that they were freed from slavery by the blood of Jesus Christ? 'I am free from the burden of the evil one. I am free! I am free from the burden of sin.'
    How does someone who just came out of jail feel? Freedom is a great thing. However, spiritual freedom is even more important than the physical one. It is better to be in prison with a liberated spirit than to be outside and bound by the power of the evil one. Paul says in Romans 6:17-18: 'At one time you were held by the power of sin. But now you obey with all your heart the teaching that was given to you. Thank God for this! You were made free from the power of sin. Being right with God has power over you now.'
    Dear readers, do you still remember being a slave to sin? Do you still remember when Jesus delivered you from this? You are no longer a slave, but free from the power of sin.
