    Never Compromise Your Uniqueness!
    "Look," they told him, "you are now old, and your sons are not like you. Give us a king to judge us like all the other nations have." 1 Samuel 8:5 (NLT)

    Some people are miserable not because of troubles they are facing but for the fact that they are tormented by the feeling that everybody has what they don’t have. Consider Israel, happy until they began to demand for a king like other nations. What they were asking was already theirs because Jehovah wanted to rule over them to make them unique; unlike other nations of the world!

    It is a dangerous thing to want to become like other people. Anytime you start lusting to be like other people you lose your distinction and your uniqueness. The power for living is in being yourself and operating the way God created you. God cannot bless a person that keeps on changing identity from week to week. Celebrate your own uniqueness for a satisfactory, fulfilling, and colourful destiny. This is your day.

    Wisdom Fountain: "To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment."
    Prayer: Father Lord God, thank You for creating me with distinct purpose, value, and design. Grant me the bold grace to reject the pressure to blend in, refusing to trade my God-given uniqueness for temporary approval, ease, or fear. Keep my heart steadfast to walk authentically in the path You have set before me in Jesus’ name.

    (Proverbs 15)

    1. A soft answer turns away wrath,
    But a harsh word stirs up anger.

    2. The tongue of the wise uses knowledge rightly,
    But the mouth of fools pours forth foolishness.

    3. The eyes of the LORD are in every place,
    Keeping watch on the evil and the good.

    4. A wholesome tongue is a tree of life,
    But perverseness in it breaks the spirit.

    5. A fool despises his father’s instruction,
    But he who receives correction is prudent.

    6. In the house of the righteous there is much treasure,
    But in the revenue of the wicked is trouble.

    7. The lips of the wise disperse knowledge,
    But the heart of the fool does not do so.

    8. The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD,
    But the prayer of the upright is His delight.

    9. The way of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD,
    But He loves him who follows righteousness.

    10. Harsh discipline is for him who forsakes the way,
    And he who hates correction will die.

    11. Hell and Destruction are before the LORD;
    So how much more the hearts of the sons of men.

    12. A scoffer does not love one who corrects him,
    Nor will he go to the wise.

    13. A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance,
    But by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.

    14. The heart of him who has understanding seeks knowledge,
    But the mouth of fools feeds on foolishness.

    15.All the days of the afflicted are evil,
    But he who is of a merry heart has a continual feast.

    16. Better is a little with the fear of the LORD,
    Than great treasure with trouble.

    17. Better is a dinner of herbs where love is,
    Than a fatted calf with hatred.

    18. A wrathful man stirs up strife,
    But he who is slow to anger allays contention.

    19. The way of the lazy man is like a hedge of thorns,
    But the way of the upright is a highway.

    20. A wise son makes a father glad,
    But a foolish man despises his mother.

    21. Folly is joy to him who is destitute of discernment,
    But a man of understanding walks uprightly.

    22. Without counsel, plans go awry,
    But in the multitude of counselors they are established.

    23. A man has joy by the answer of his mouth,
    And a word spoken in due season, how good it is!

    24. The way of life winds upward for the wise,
    That he may turn away from hell below.

    25. The LORD will destroy the house of the proud,
    But He will establish the boundary of the widow.

    26. The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD,
    But the words of the pure are pleasant.

    27. He who is greedy for gain troubles his own house,
    But he who hates bribes will live.

    28. The heart of the righteous studies how to answer,
    But the mouth of the wicked pours forth evil.

    29. The LORD is far from the wicked,
    But He hears the prayer of the righteous.

    30. The light of the eyes rejoices the heart,
    And a good report makes the bones healthy.

    31. The ear that hears the rebukes of life
    Will abide among the wise.

    32. He who disdains instruction despises his own soul,
    But he who heeds rebuke gets understanding.

    33. The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom,
    And before honor is humility.

  • Sermon: When You Are Poor, But God Sees You

    Beloved, I want to talk to you who are counting coins tonight, who lie awake wondering about school fees, rent, and the next meal. The world may pass you by because your pockets are light. But heaven has not passed you by.

    1. The Lord is the Helper of the Poor
    Isaiah 41:17 says, “When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue is parched with thirst, I the Lord will answer them; I the God of Israel will not forsake them.”

    God names Himself in this verse. He does not say “maybe I will help.” He says “I will answer.” He sees the lack. He hears the cry. You are not forgotten. The same God who fed Elijah by the brook and multiplied oil for the widow in Zarephath still provides.

    Psalm 34:6, “This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles.”

    2. Be Poor in Spirit, Not Just Poor in Pocket
    Jesus begins His teaching in Matthew 5:3 with, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

    Being “poor in spirit” means this: I have nothing to bring to God but my need, and I bring it anyway. It is the place of humility where pride breaks and faith begins. The world measures you by bank balance. God measures you by a heart that depends on Him.

    Do not let lack of finance make you bitter. Let it make you bow. Because the moment you bow, God lifts.

    3. Seek First, and God Will Add
    Matthew 6:33, “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

    Jesus knew we worry about food, clothes, and money. So He gives us order. First the Kingdom. First righteousness. First trust. Then He promises, “all these things will be added.”

    That means God intends to satisfy you in both places:
    Physical needs: Philippians 4:19, “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
    Spiritual needs: John 6:35, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger.”

    He does not want you starved in body or in soul.

    4. The World May Ignore You, But God Will Not
    The world often respects titles, influence, and finance. But God has a history of choosing the overlooked. He chose David from the sheepfold. He chose the disciples from the nets. He chose you.

    James 2:5, “Has not God chosen those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom?”

    Your instability is not your identity. You are an heir. You are seen. You are loved.

    How Do We Live This Out?
    Cry out: Like the psalmist, bring your need to God daily. He listens.
    Seek first: Put prayer, Word, and obedience before panic. Righteousness is your anchor.
    Trust His provision: Give thanks for today’s bread. Manna came one day at a time.
    Walk in generosity: Even with little, share. A generous heart is a rich heart before God.

    Prayer for the Poor and Needy
    Father,
    You are the Helper of the poor. You see every need in this room and in every home listening.
    Forgive us for worrying more than trusting. Teach us to be poor in spirit, fully dependent on You.
    Meet every physical need, food, rent, school, health, and meet every spiritual need, peace, joy, strength.
    Satisfy us with Yourself so we lack nothing that truly matters.
    We believe Your Word: You will supply all our needs in Christ Jesus.
    In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

    Final Word to Strengthen You
    Your 40 years in the wilderness may feel long. But God used that season to train Israel in dependence. He will use this season to train you in righteousness too. Do not despise the small beginning. The Lord who fed 5,000 with 5 loaves can do exceedingly abundantly for you.

    Hold on. Keep seeking. Keep trusting. The Helper of the poor has not forgotten you.

    LIVING ABOVE REPROACH.

    5. Those who look to Him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.

    *TOPIC:*
    LIVING ABOVE REPROACH.

    *THE MESSAGE:*
    Living _above reproach_ is a life that is marked by integrity, godly character, and freedom from blame or shame. Today's text explains that those who sincerely seek God are delivered from fear and never brought to shame. While reproach involves disapproval due to moral failure, believers, especially youths, are called to live in a way that honours God. This does not mean being perfect but being intentional, obedient, Spirit-led, and uncompromising in faith. Ultimately, a life above reproach serves as a radiant testimony that points others to Christ. Who are your companions? Be warned, bad company corrupts good character. Do not be influenced by bad friends; instead, influence them with life of Christ in you.

    *REFLECTION:*
    Do not misuse God's grace.

    *PRAYER:*
    Lord, help me to live above reproach. Amen.

    *MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:*
    2 TIMOTHY 2:21.

    JEREMIAH 50-52.

    ED.ii. IMAGINATION

    "So God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them." - Genesis 1:27

    To create something you need imagination; this means, you are able to imagine something that is not yet there - God did that too. He said: 'Let Us make mankind in Our image, in Our likeness.' He imagined in His mind an image that would resemble Him, however, this image was not there yet. We may not think this through, but it is a Divine quality.

    A sculptor sees in a lump of clay or in a piece of stone, the entire image he wants to make - this is a Divine quality in him. Before he picks up the brush, the artist already sees what he is going to paint. A musician is able to write and play the music which he hears in his mind beforehand. God puts that in such person. The human being is able to have an image or an idea of something in his mind which still needs to happen.

    Wrong use of imagination

    Imagination can also be very dangerous. God put this in us to use it for good. But since the time man became corrupt, it has also been used by the evil one. By using their imagination people such as terrorists, come up with complicated and angry plans which is sometimes implemented later. Nuclear weapons were thought out; they were not suddenly invented. A man's thoughts can also be influenced by the evil one.

    Creativity has been placed in man by God

    Genesis 1:27 says that this attribute of creativity has been placed in man by God. Look, God did not quickly put man together. No, man with a soul and spirit has been made so superior because God thought about it. He created man with a lot of love. Everything in our body works perfectly. Just think of our brains and organs: everything is ingeniously made by God! How foolish to believe that man came from a primordial slime. Those poor scientists are completely lost with their theory of evolution.

    2. Evening Prayer for today.

    EP.i. Evening Prayer

    I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety. ⏤ Psalm 4:8

    Christians are not perfect, but they should be perfectly restful. ⏤ A.W. Tozer

    Lord, You alone make us live in safety. We lie down at night under the shadow of Your wings, and our sleep is sweet because You sustain us. We ask You now for another night of rest and comfort. As the sun has set and darkness covers us, we’re reminded of how much we need You. We have no power to keep or care for ourselves. Be our protection tonight. Let no harm come near us, let no sickness invade our home, let nothing cause us fear.

    As the stars come out as the sun sets, we’re reminded of the promises of Your grace, which shine even brighter when the sun of our prosperity or happiness fades. We wouldn’t see the stars without the night, and we thank You for the many uplifting, comforting words in the Scripture that we wouldn’t notice without our troubles and sorrows. We’ve found many precious meanings in Your Word during times of trial that we never saw before. Make Your Word more and more a treasure house of goodness, which You will reveal to us as we need it.

    Grant us an evening blessing. Bless our home life. May our love for each other grow stronger every day. Help us to see the best in each other. Help us each to give our best to one another. Protect us from impatience and lack of kindness, and give us the grace to be kind to each other. May we learn from Jesus how to love at home. Enable us to be helpful to each other, making each other better, stronger, and more courageous.

    In Your great mercy, O God, forgive us all our sins, and bring us at last into Your heavenly kingdom, through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

    Good evening, brethren. 1. Evening devotion for today. ED.i. *DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST* (COCIN DEVOTIONAL) *DATE:* FRIDAY 14TH AUGUST, 2026 *SUB-THEME:* YOUTHS: VESSELS OF GOD'S GRACE. *TOPIC:* LIVING ABOVE REPROACH. *TEXT:* PSALM 34:4-5 4. I sought the Lord, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears. 5. Those who look to Him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame. *TOPIC:* LIVING ABOVE REPROACH. *THE MESSAGE:* Living _above reproach_ is a life that is marked by integrity, godly character, and freedom from blame or shame. *REFLECTION:* Do not misuse God's grace. *PRAYER:* Lord, help me to live above reproach. Amen. *MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:* 2 TIMOTHY 2:21. "If a man cleanses himself from the latter, he will be instruments for noble purposes, made holy, useful to the Master, and prepared to do any good work. *TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:* JEREMIAH 50-52. • KEEPING THE FAITH WHILE GOING THROUGH DIFFICULT TIMES!

    When Life Gets Hard, Hold On to God Even Tighter

    Key Scripture:
    “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7 (KJV)

    Thought Of The Day....
    There are seasons in life when keeping the faith is easier said than done.
    It is easy to declare, “God is good!” when everything is going well. It is easy to shout when the bills are paid, the family is getting along, your body feels strong, your marriage is peaceful, your children are doing well, and the doors you have been praying for are opening.
    But what happens when life gets difficult?
    What happens when you pray—and the situation doesn't immediately change?
    What happens when the doctor's report concerns you? When your body is hurting and you are tired of hurting? When your finances are stretched beyond what you can see? When there is tension between husband and wife? When your children are struggling or making decisions that keep you awake at night? When relationships in your family become strained?
    Can you still trust God when you don't understand what God is doing?
    That is where faith becomes more than something we talk about.
    Faith becomes something we live.
    Hebrews 11:1 declares:
    “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
    Faith does not mean pretending everything is okay.
    Faith says, “Everything may not be okay right now, but I know the One who is holding me while I go through it.”

    FAITH DOESN'T DENY THE DIFFICULTY—IT DECLARES THAT GOD IS GREATER
    Sometimes Christians mistakenly believe that having faith means we cannot acknowledge that something hurts.
    But David cried.
    Job grieved.
    Jeremiah wept.
    Paul experienced suffering.
    Even Jesus wept.
    Faith doesn't require you to deny your pain. Faith requires you not to allow your pain to become greater than your confidence in God.
    You can have tears in your eyes and still have faith in your heart.
    You can say:
    “Lord, I'm hurting, but I trust You.”
    “Lord, I'm tired, but I'm still following You.”
    “Lord, I don't understand, but I still believe You.”
    “Lord, I don't know how this is going to work out, but I know You are still God.”
    Psalm 34:17 reminds us:
    “The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.”
    Your trouble has God's attention.

    WHEN YOUR DIFFICULT TIME IS YOUR HEALTH
    Few things test our faith like problems in our bodies.
    When sickness comes, procedures are necessary, pain continues, or doctors don't have all the answers, fear can begin whispering:
    “What if things get worse?”
    But faith responds:
    “What if God carries me through?”
    Your faith isn't based upon whether you immediately receive the report you desire. Your faith is anchored in the character of the God who promised:
    “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” — Hebrews 13:5
    When your body is weak, God remains strong.
    When you don't know what tomorrow holds, God is already standing in your tomorrow.
    Keep praying. Keep believing. Keep seeking appropriate medical care. Keep trusting God one day at a time.

    WHEN YOUR DIFFICULT TIME IS FINANCIAL!
    Financial pressure can affect almost every area of life.
    Bills keep coming.
    Unexpected expenses happen.
    The money doesn't seem to stretch far enough.
    You may look at what you have and wonder, “Lord, how am I going to make it?”
    Remember what Paul declared:
    “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:19
    Notice Paul said “my God.”
    Your source is bigger than your paycheck.
    That doesn't mean we shouldn't budget, plan, save, work, or make wise financial decisions. But after you have done what you can do, don't allow financial pressure to convince you that God has forgotten you.
    The same God who provided yesterday is still God today.

    WHEN THE DIFFICULT TIME IS IN YOUR MARRIAGE
    Sometimes the storm isn't outside the house.
    Sometimes the storm is inside the house.
    Husband and wife may love each other but still experience seasons of disagreement, disappointment, communication problems, financial stress, hurt feelings, or emotional distance.
    During those seasons, the enemy wants you to concentrate exclusively on what is wrong.
    But Ecclesiastes 4:12 reminds us:
    “…a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”
    Husband. Wife. God.
    Don't allow a difficult chapter to convince you that the entire story is over.
    Pray before reacting.
    Listen before assuming.
    Forgive instead of keeping score.
    Communicate instead of withdrawing.
    And when needed, seek wise, godly counsel.
    Sometimes faith means believing God can heal what has been wounded, restore what has been damaged, and rebuild what has been weakened.

    WHEN YOUR DIFFICULT TIME INVOLVES YOUR CHILDREN
    There is a special kind of pain that comes when your children are struggling.
    You raised them.
    You prayed for them.
    You taught them.
    You tried to guide them.
    Yet there comes a time when you cannot make every decision for them.
    That's when you have to remember:
    Your children may get beyond your reach, but they can never get beyond God's reach.
    Proverbs 22:6 says:
    “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
    Keep praying.
    Keep loving.
    Keep speaking truth.
    Keep setting healthy boundaries.
    And keep trusting God with the parts of their lives that you cannot control.
    God knows exactly where your children are.

    DON'T LET A HARD SEASON MAKE YOU FORGET A FAITHFUL GOD
    One of the enemy's strategies during difficult seasons is to make you forget everything God has already brought you through.
    Remember the prayers He has already answered.
    Remember the doors He has already opened.
    Remember the times you thought you weren't going to make it—but somehow God carried you through.
    David faced Goliath with confidence because he remembered the lion and the bear.
    Sometimes today's battle requires you to remember yesterday's deliverance.
    Psalm 77:11 declares:
    “I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember thy wonders of old.”
    If God carried you before, He has not lost His ability to carry you now.

    YOUR DIFFICULT SEASON HAS AN EXPIRATION DATE!
    Psalm 30:5 declares:
    “…weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”
    Notice Scripture says weeping may endure.
    That means you may cry for a season.
    You may struggle for a season.
    You may have questions for a season.
    You may feel overwhelmed for a season.
    But seasons change.
    Don't make permanent decisions based on temporary circumstances.
    Don't abandon your faith because life became difficult.
    Don't stop praying because the answer hasn't arrived.
    Don't stop worshiping because you're hurting.
    Don't stop believing because you cannot see what God is doing.
    Galatians 6:9 declares:
    “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
    Your responsibility is not to figure everything out.
    Your responsibility is to keep trusting the One who already has.

    WHEN YOU CAN'T SEE HIS HAND, TRUST HIS HEART
    You may not understand this season.
    You may not understand why God allowed it.
    You may not know when circumstances will change.
    But one thing remains certain:
    God has not abandoned you.
    Isaiah 43:2 says:
    “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee…”
    God didn't say if you go through the waters.
    He said when.
    But He also promised:
    “I will be with thee.”
    That's the promise.
    You are going through it.
    You're not building your house in it.
    You're not making your permanent residence in it.
    You're going THROUGH it!
    So keep praying.
    Keep worshiping.
    Keep believing.
    Keep standing.
    Keep trusting.
    And above everything else—
    KEEP THE FAITH!
    Because the same God who kept you before the storm is the God who will keep you in the storm, and He will still be God when you come out of the storm!

    PRAYER...
    Heavenly Father,
    We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, acknowledging that You are our refuge, our strength, our provider, our healer, our defender, and our ever-present help in trouble.
    Father, someone reading this devotional is going through a difficult season right now.
    For some, it is their health.
    For others, it is their finances.
    For someone else, it is their marriage, their children, or another family relationship.
    Some are fighting battles they haven't told anyone about. They smile publicly while crying privately. They encourage everybody else while secretly wondering, “Lord, when will my situation change?”
    Father, strengthen them!
    Where there is fear, release faith.
    Where there is confusion, release peace.
    Where there is weakness, release strength.
    Where there is discouragement, release hope.
    Where there is sickness, we ask for healing and sustaining grace.
    Where there is financial pressure, provide wisdom, resources, opportunities, and provision.
    Where marriages are struggling, bring communication, forgiveness, understanding, restoration, and renewed love.
    Where parents are concerned about their children, remind them that their children are still in Your hands.
    Father, silence every voice of fear telling us that our situation is hopeless.
    Remind us that You are still God!
    We may not understand the process, but we trust the Potter.
    We may not understand the storm, but we trust the One who commands the winds and the waves.
    We may not know what tomorrow holds, but we know Who holds tomorrow.
    Give us faith that will stand when circumstances tell us to quit.
    Give us faith that will worship while we're waiting.
    Give us faith that will pray when we're tired.
    Give us faith that declares like Job:
    “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him.” — Job 13:15
    Father, don't merely bring us out of this difficult season—bring us out stronger, wiser, closer to You, and with a testimony that will strengthen somebody else.
    We declare that trouble will not destroy our faith.
    Pressure will not steal our praise.
    Waiting will not cancel our worship.
    And difficulty will not separate us from our God.
    We will stand.
    We will pray.
    We will believe.
    WE WILL KEEP THE FAITH!
    In the mighty, matchless, powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray.
    AMEN AND AMEN!

    DECLARATION OF FAITH...
    I DECLARE that I will KEEP THE FAITH!
    I may be pressed, but I will not be destroyed.
    I may be confused, but I will not lose my confidence in God.
    I may cry, but I will keep believing.
    I may hurt, but I will keep worshiping.
    My health will not steal my faith.
    My finances will not steal my faith.
    Problems in my marriage or family will not steal my faith.
    Concern for my children will not steal my faith.
    I declare that GOD IS STILL WITH ME!
    God is still providing.
    God is still healing.
    God is still restoring.
    God is still opening doors.
    God is still making ways.
    God is still working—even when I cannot see Him working!
    THIS DIFFICULT SEASON WILL NOT BE THE END OF MY STORY!
    I will come through this season with stronger faith, deeper worship, greater wisdom, and a powerful testimony!
    I will walk by FAITH and not by sight.
    I will trust God when I understand Him, and I will trust Him when I don't.
    And until my change comes…
    I WILL PRAY!
    I WILL STAND!
    I WILL WORSHIP!
    I WILL BELIEVE!
    AND I WILL KEEP THE FAITH!
    IN JESUS' NAME — AMEN!

And until my change comes… I WILL PRAY! I WILL STAND! I WILL WORSHIP! I WILL BELIEVE! AND I WILL KEEP THE FAITH! IN JESUS' NAME — AMEN!

  • Daily devotion: Habakkuk 3:17-18

    “Even though the fig trees have no fruit and no grapes grow on the vines, even though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no corn, even though the sheep all die and the cattle stalls are empty, I will still be joyful and glad, because the LORD God is my saviour.”

    The one thing that no one can deny is that the human race is flailing under the oppression of pure evil. Never, in my lifetime, has the world been filled with so much anger, hatred and death. People are out of control. This current generation continues to mock God and the faithful. It also seems that nature itself turned its back on people. Fire and earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, volcanic eruptions, drought and famine, pestilence. And I’m not even mentioning the events happening in space.

    The world is filled with godless people. You look at the news and see the devil in their eyes. They are not hiding anymore. These are similar to the days of Noah and it has been prophesied that, in endtimes, people will be selfish and arrogant, lovers of money and superficial appearances. They will mock our God and refuse to repent. They ask: “Where is this God of yours. Show me the scientific evidence of His existence.” Do they not understand that even THEY were CREATED by God. THEY are the evidence. Every single cell of all that lives on this planet, humans, animals, plants, has been made by God Himself. Our purpose on earth is to worship our Lord and to spread the gospel.

    As Christians we should not fear the things that are happening and the things that are still coming. We may live difficult lives, but still we need to rejoice in the Lord. It may seem impossible to praise God in times of anguish, but just look at what Habakkuk 3:19 says: “The Sovereign LORD gives me strength. He makes me sure-footed as a deer, and keeps me safe on the mountains.”

    God is within each one of us and we should look towards the future with joy and exaltation, for He is steadfast, He is almighty, He is the ONE God. He sees through the artificial smiles, He knows what troubles your heart and He will take care of you ALWAYS.

    THE GOSPEL FROM CALVARY

    THURSDAY, 13TH AUGUST, 2026

    WATCH AND BE READY!

    TEXT: MARK 13:32–37

    KEY VERSE:

    «“Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.” — Mark 13:33 (KJV)»

    In Mark 13, Jesus spoke to His disciples about the future, the troubles that would come, and His eventual return. He warned them not to be deceived and not to become spiritually careless. The message was clear: WATCH!

    Jesus knew that the greatest danger would not only be persecution or false teachers, but also the danger of becoming spiritually asleep while waiting for His return.

    He said, “Take ye heed, watch and pray.” The Christian life is not a life of spiritual relaxation. We must remain awake, faithful, prayerful, and prepared. 🏽

    Jesus compared His return to a master who went on a journey and left his servants with responsibilities. The servants did not know when their master would return. Their responsibility was to remain faithful until he came back.

    THREE LESSONS FROM MARK 13

    BE CAREFUL NOT TO BE DECEIVED.

    Jesus repeatedly warned about deception. Mark 13:5 says:

    «“Take heed lest any man deceive you.”»

    Not everything that sounds spiritual is from God. Not every voice deserves your attention. Not every teaching agrees with Scripture.

    Know God's Word.
    Test what you hear.
    Stay close to Christ.
    Do not allow deception to steal your faith.

    WATCH AND PRAY. 🏽

    Jesus said:

    «“Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.” — Mark 13:33»

    Prayer keeps the believer spiritually alert. A prayerless Christian can easily become careless, distracted, and vulnerable.

    Don't only pray when trouble comes. Build a consistent altar of prayer.

    REMAIN FAITHFUL UNTIL JESUS RETURNS.

    Jesus concluded:

    «“And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.” — Mark 13:37»

    Notice the word: ALL.

    This is not only a message for pastors, evangelists, or church leaders. It is a message for every believer.

    Whatever assignment God has given you, remain faithful.
    Whatever season you are passing through, remain faithful.
    Whatever temptation you face, remain faithful.
    Whatever happens around you, keep your eyes on Jesus.

    DON'T FALL ASLEEP SPIRITUALLY

    The world may become increasingly distracting.
    People may become increasingly careless.
    Sin may become increasingly normalized.
    But the child of God must remain awake.

    Don't allow social media to replace your Bible.
    Don't allow entertainment to replace prayer. 🏽
    Don't allow the cares of life to replace your devotion to Christ.

    Jesus is coming again!

    The question is not simply, “When will He come?”

    The greater question is:

    “Will He find me faithful when He comes?” 🏽

    ✍🏽 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

    The believer who is watching for Christ will live carefully, pray faithfully, and serve diligently.

    🏽 PRAYER

    Heavenly Father,
    Thank You for the warning and instruction of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Help me not to be deceived or distracted by the things of this world.

    Give me grace to watch, pray, and remain spiritually alert. Help me to be faithful in the assignment You have given me and to live every day with the expectation of Christ's return.

    Keep my heart from spiritual sleep. Let my prayer altar remain burning, my faith remain strong, and my life remain pleasing to You.

    When Jesus comes, may He find me watching, praying, serving, and faithfully following Him. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen. 🏽

  • Good morning, brethren.
    1. Morning devotion for today.

    MD.i. MORNING TEA
    THE WORD FOR TODAY
    THURSDAY AUGUST 13, 2O26.
    "RESPONDING TO FAILURE"

    ‘A righteous person may fall…but he gets up again...’ Proverbs 24:16 GWT

    YOU CAN tell a lot about somebody by how they respond to life. Everybody gets knocked down, but how fast you get up again is what counts. Verla Gillmor says: ‘Failure teaches us things we can’t learn any other way…Treat it as a visitor allowed to deliver unpleasant news, but don’t let it take up residence. Remember, all failures aren’t equal. For example, when a beautiful, talented young woman is the first-runner-up in a beauty contest, some say she failed. Yet some people would give their right arm to be named the second most attractive female in a competition. It’s a matter of perspective… [examine] your failures and weigh them according to their importance in the overall scheme of things…I once received a ‘D’ at college…it’s ridiculous, but that sticks in my mind like a pebble in my shoe. Why do I fixate on that and not the fact that it happened during the term I carried nineteen credit hours, worked part-time, got engaged, and spent six weeks in the college health centre with mononucleosis? When I put the experience in context, it loses its power to undermine my confidence. Failure teaches us what’s important. I have a friend who was made redundant…It caught her by surprise because she was good at her work. “I tended to be full of pride,” she says. “I got away with it because I was so successful. Losing my job…humbled me. With pride you have no permission to fail. It’s a heavy yoke…and I don’t wear it any more. I feel lighter in my spirit without the burden of having to be perfect.’’’

    *A MORE DESCRIPTION OF HEAVEN*

    *TEXT:* REVELATION 21:1-8.

    1And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
    2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
    3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
    4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
    5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
    6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
    7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
    8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

    *Timeless Truth:*_"For he (Abraham) looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God"_ (Hebrews 11:10).

    *INTRODUCTION*

    When Garden Eden was created, it was the most beautiful place Adam could ever conceive of, with all the beautiful birds, animals, plants and cool weather. However, nobody needed to tell Adam that there must be a better place because the God that used to commune with him in *"the cool of the day"* was not living in Eden. He must be dwelling in a better place. This faith was carried on from generations to generations until the time of Abraham, who in spite of all the wealth promised him, his affection was focused on the better city. *"For he (Abraham) looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God"*. Nobody was given a better revelation of heaven than Apostle John. Enoch and Elijah were said to be translated to heaven. How heaven looked like was left to human imaginations. Jesus Christ also mentioned heaven as the abode of the Triune God. He only told us it has many mansions. At the mount of transfiguration was revealed the glory of heaven and how the inhabitants will look like. Nothing more was revealed. Stephen saw heaven at the point of death but just faintly (Acts 7:55-56). Paul the apostle was taken to heaven which he called the third heaven, but he said he was not permitted to reveal what he saw to any except that he exposed that it has many foundations (Acts 11:10, 2 Corinthians 12:2-4). The text shows us the climax of God's revelation about heaven. Yet the Bible writers were short of words to describe heaven except that it is the place where God dwells from eternity, with all His created angels and saints. *"How beautiful heaven must be"*.

    *1. Prepared Heaven*

    a. Those who doubt the testimony of Apostle John must be ready to doubt his gospel and epistles that have transformed lives and brought supernatural comforts and revelation of Jesus Christ to mankind for centuries. *"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth"*. He was not told or heard from a third party. He saw it himself. It was not a remodelled new heaven and earth, but a totally new heaven and a new earth. *"And there was no more sea"*. There are three types of heaven mentioned in the Bible. There is the atmospheric heaven where the rain comes from (Deuteronomy 11:11). There is the second heaven called heavenlies where we have the galaxies including the primary domain of demonic forces and angelic conflicts (Ephesians 6:12). Then we have the third heaven or paradise where God dwells (2 Corinthians 12:2). *"For the first heaven and the first earth were passed away"*. The first two heavens were passed away except the third heaven. 2 Peter 3:12, 13 reveals how this will happen. *"….. wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. "*. The earth and the heavens will be destroyed through fervent heat. Jesus Himself confirmed that heaven and earth with all their structures, beauties, learnings and philosophies shall all pass away except the Word of God (Matthew 5:18, 24:35). In fact, all the human bodies will give way to eternal and indestructible bodies. Thus, what Apostle John saw was the giving away of all things that are visible and temporary for things that are eternal.
    b. *"And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven"*. The earthly Jerusalem was referred to as the city of the Great King (Psalm 48:2, Matthew 5:35). This is referring to the Millennium holy Jerusalem from where Jesus will rule the whole world physically. John the apostle said that Jerusalem ceased to exist, but gave way to a completely New Jerusalem. This New Jerusalem was seen coming *"out of heaven"*. Obviously, it is seen coming from the third heaven which is the eternal throne of God. He used the imagery of the beauty of a bride coming to meet the husband to describe the beauty of heaven. This is the best description human language can give. *Prepared as a bride adorned for her husband"*. He then heard the voice of God announcing the plan of God right from eternity. What was that plan? That God will physically, live among men as King over loving subjects; as Father over His children in a happy family set up and as God over His redeemed and people. *"And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God"*. This is the beginning of heaven, happy and holy eternity.

    *Question*

    Are you getting prepared for heaven in the practical sense of it? If Not, then you don't actually, believe in heaven.

    *2. Pacification with Happiness*

    a. The Apostle further gave a glimpse of how we will feel in heaven. *"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes"*. Tears of sorrow, anguish, lost loved ones, physical and psychological pains, etc.will all be forgotten. This is difficult to imagine for man. It is like imagining how God promised that *"your sins and iniquities will I remember no more"*. We don't have a problem with God forgiving our sins, but God forgetting our sins will be difficult to imagine. We will all forget the painful past as we will be overwhelmed with the glory of God for eternity. *"There shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away"*. The pains and the tears, called *"light afflictions"* will be for a moment. They will not survive the joy of eternity.
    b. For those who have difficulty with believing, *"he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful"*. Heaven is prepared already. When Jesus Christ was about going to heaven, He assured the disciples of going to build mansions for them. About 60 years later, when John saw the revelation, he was told by the Lord that it was done. It means it is a settled and concluded matter. *"And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end"*. In heaven there will not be any heat or tension, but total refreshments and happiness. *"I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely"*. Everything God has will be totally ours. All the gifts of God, physical or spiritual, will belong to us as possessions. Nothing needed or useful will be denied. We suffer different lacks while on earth. Heaven will be the opposite. *"He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son"*. Are you an overcomer over sin, Satan and all his temptations?

    *Question*

    What are the things you are suffering on earth? Do you see them as temporary?

    *3. Punishment of Hell*

    What are the things that will disqualify any from entering heaven? What would be the abode of those who will miss heaven? The answer is fearful. *"But the fearful, and unbelieving"*. Every evil action stems from fear and unbelief. Unbelief of what God has spoken and the consequences of disobedience, fear of man and what man can do are terrible paralysing feelings that draw men to perdition. *"And the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars"*. Notice that all those sins are now also found inside the Church among professing saints. So there will be eternal surprises when those who profess that heaven is their home find themselves in a totally different place called hell. They *"shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone*.

    *Question*

    Are you transparently free from all sins?

    *Prayer Points*

    1.Give praises to God that you are in that number saved by grace .
    2.Ask God to search your life, expose, purge and cleanse you from all disqualifying habits .
    3.Pray that the vision of heaven will get brighter and brighter to you and your mind and affections will be focused on heavenly things .
    4.Pray that all believers will be delivered from all forms of self deception and will take entering heaven more seriously .

    ```KEY VERSE:``` _*"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away" (REVELATION 21:4).*_
    *John Harper, a Scottish Baptist pastor and evangelist, died on the _RMS Titanic_ in 1912. His last words, as testified by survivors, were "I have seen heaven, and it is beautiful" and "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved." Despite his death, Harper used his final moments to preach the gospel, expressing his deep assurance that beyond death lay a place of eternal peace. A rescued survivor testified that Harper, clinging to the wreckage, asked if he was saved and urged him to believe in Jesus Christ. The survivor later accepted Christ and called himself "the last convert of John Harper."*
    *Today's passage paints a breath-taking vision of the new heaven and new earth. John sees the Holy City, the New Jerusalem, descending from God, adorned like a bride. A powerful voice declares that God will dwell among His people, wiping away every tear. Death, mourning, crying, and pain will be gone forever. The former things will pass away, and everything will be made new. God, the Alpha and Omega, promises the water of life to those who thirst. But He also warns that those who reject Him (those living in sin, fear, unbelief) will face eternal separation in the lake of fire.*
    *In this world, we experience suffering in many forms such as loss, illness, disappointment, pain and injustice. But for those who belong to Christ, these trials are temporary. Christ assures us that a glorious future awaits us, one where God Himself will comfort us, and all suffering will cease. This hope should encourage believers to endure hardships with faith, knowing that one day, we will step into a place where joy is endless and pain is no more. It also calls us to live righteously, rejecting sin and embracing the promise of eternity with God.*
    *No matter what trials you face today, hold unto the hope of heaven. Let this promise strengthen your faith, drive you to share the gospel, and encourage you to live in readiness for Christ's return. A day is coming when all suffering will cease and there will be no more tears, pain or death. Get ready to be part of this eternally glorious moment.*
    ```PSALM 35:1-9```

    ```Key Verse:``` _*"And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD: it shall rejoice in his salvation" (Psalm 35:9).*_
    Nancy was sent to a supermarket to get some food items for the family. Unknown to her, the shop was under attack by armed robbers. She went in, and she was kidnapped!
    While being abducted, she remembered the Bible verses that her grandma had taught her. She rehearsed it aloud to the confusion of her abductors, and attracted helpers nearby. God heard her confession of faith and saved her. She was rescued.
    In times like these, when the society seems insecure; neither rich nor poor are free from the troubles in the world - kidnapping, cyber bullying, famine, climate change, diseases, natural disasters, and instability.
    *Children of God need not fear. God is in charge of all situations. The word of God is not just a shield for all those who believe, it is a formidable weapon that no force can withstand. Read, believe, confess and have faith in God's Word as you move through the days and months of the year.*
    2. Morning Prayer for today.
    MP.i. Morning Prayer
    For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only [use] not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. ⏤ Galatians 5:13
    Let your religion be less of a theory and more of a love affair. ⏤ G.K. Chesterton
    O God, who has redeemed us by the precious blood of the Lamb, help us to live for Your praise and glory in all that we do. Since Jesus Christ has died for us and we are not our own, we want to live lives worthy of Your holiness. We confess and renounce all our sins. Teach us to hate sin and give us the grace to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world, to the glory of Your holy name.
    We ask You to reveal Yourself to us this morning as we go forth and to give us the assurance of Your presence. You have promised that as our days are, so shall our strength be, and that Your grace will always be sufficient for us. We cling to these promises as we enter a new day whose experiences we cannot predict. We do not know what dangers we will encounter, what burdens will be placed on us, what temptations will whisper in our ears, what pitfalls will lie in our path, or what insidious influences will threaten the purity of our souls.
    So we hide ourselves in You and trust You to keep us safe all day.
    We desire to be useful and helpful to others. Save us from selfishness and self-centeredness. Teach us the great lesson of service. May we have the mind of Christ, who came not to be served but to serve. May we serve one another in love. May we live to help others and do good.
    Help us to see the needs we can meet, to perceive the ways we can serve, and then give us the true spirit of ministry so that we may do the things that will bless others. Fill us with Your Spirit so that we may be like You. We ask all this in the name of our Savior. Amen.
    Good morning, brethren. 1. Morning devotion for today. MD.i. 😀🎀💝🎁🌺🌹 MORNING TEA THE WORD FOR TODAY THURSDAY AUGUST 13, 2O26. "RESPONDING TO FAILURE" ‘A righteous person may fall…but he gets up again...’ Proverbs 24:16 GWT YOU CAN tell a lot about somebody by how they respond to life. Everybody gets knocked down, but how fast you get up again is what counts. Verla Gillmor says: ‘Failure teaches us things we can’t learn any other way…Treat it as a visitor allowed to deliver unpleasant news, but don’t let it take up residence. Remember, all failures aren’t equal. For example, when a beautiful, talented young woman is the first-runner-up in a beauty contest, some say she failed. Yet some people would give their right arm to be named the second most attractive female in a competition. It’s a matter of perspective… [examine] your failures and weigh them according to their importance in the overall scheme of things…I once received a ‘D’ at college…it’s ridiculous, but that sticks in my mind like a pebble in my shoe. Why do I fixate on that and not the fact that it happened during the term I carried nineteen credit hours, worked part-time, got engaged, and spent six weeks in the college health centre with mononucleosis? When I put the experience in context, it loses its power to undermine my confidence. Failure teaches us what’s important. I have a friend who was made redundant…It caught her by surprise because she was good at her work. “I tended to be full of pride,” she says. “I got away with it because I was so successful. Losing my job…humbled me. With pride you have no permission to fail. It’s a heavy yoke…and I don’t wear it any more. I feel lighter in my spirit without the burden of having to be perfect.’’’ Bible In A Year: Judg 9:34 – 11:40, Matt 17:1-13, Ps 119:73-80, Pro 20:25, Ecc 5:4-6. [12/08, 8:10 pm] Pastor Attah: *MEDITATIONS ON DAILY ⓂANNA* THURSDAY, 13TH AUGUST, 2026. *A MORE DESCRIPTION OF HEAVEN* *TEXT:* REVELATION 21:1-8. 1And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. 6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. 7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. 8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. *Timeless Truth:*_"For he (Abraham) looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God"_ (Hebrews 11:10). *INTRODUCTION* When Garden Eden was created, it was the most beautiful place Adam could ever conceive of, with all the beautiful birds, animals, plants and cool weather. However, nobody needed to tell Adam that there must be a better place because the God that used to commune with him in *"the cool of the day"* was not living in Eden. He must be dwelling in a better place. This faith was carried on from generations to generations until the time of Abraham, who in spite of all the wealth promised him, his affection was focused on the better city. *"For he (Abraham) looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God"*. Nobody was given a better revelation of heaven than Apostle John. Enoch and Elijah were said to be translated to heaven. How heaven looked like was left to human imaginations. Jesus Christ also mentioned heaven as the abode of the Triune God. He only told us it has many mansions. At the mount of transfiguration was revealed the glory of heaven and how the inhabitants will look like. Nothing more was revealed. Stephen saw heaven at the point of death but just faintly (Acts 7:55-56). Paul the apostle was taken to heaven which he called the third heaven, but he said he was not permitted to reveal what he saw to any except that he exposed that it has many foundations (Acts 11:10, 2 Corinthians 12:2-4). The text shows us the climax of God's revelation about heaven. Yet the Bible writers were short of words to describe heaven except that it is the place where God dwells from eternity, with all His created angels and saints. *"How beautiful heaven must be"*. *1. Prepared Heaven* a. Those who doubt the testimony of Apostle John must be ready to doubt his gospel and epistles that have transformed lives and brought supernatural comforts and revelation of Jesus Christ to mankind for centuries. *"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth"*. He was not told or heard from a third party. He saw it himself. It was not a remodelled new heaven and earth, but a totally new heaven and a new earth. *"And there was no more sea"*. There are three types of heaven mentioned in the Bible. There is the atmospheric heaven where the rain comes from (Deuteronomy 11:11). There is the second heaven called heavenlies where we have the galaxies including the primary domain of demonic forces and angelic conflicts (Ephesians 6:12). Then we have the third heaven or paradise where God dwells (2 Corinthians 12:2). *"For the first heaven and the first earth were passed away"*. The first two heavens were passed away except the third heaven. 2 Peter 3:12, 13 reveals how this will happen. *"….. wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. "*. The earth and the heavens will be destroyed through fervent heat. Jesus Himself confirmed that heaven and earth with all their structures, beauties, learnings and philosophies shall all pass away except the Word of God (Matthew 5:18, 24:35). In fact, all the human bodies will give way to eternal and indestructible bodies. Thus, what Apostle John saw was the giving away of all things that are visible and temporary for things that are eternal. b. *"And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven"*. The earthly Jerusalem was referred to as the city of the Great King (Psalm 48:2, Matthew 5:35). This is referring to the Millennium holy Jerusalem from where Jesus will rule the whole world physically. John the apostle said that Jerusalem ceased to exist, but gave way to a completely New Jerusalem. This New Jerusalem was seen coming *"out of heaven"*. Obviously, it is seen coming from the third heaven which is the eternal throne of God. He used the imagery of the beauty of a bride coming to meet the husband to describe the beauty of heaven. This is the best description human language can give. *Prepared as a bride adorned for her husband"*. He then heard the voice of God announcing the plan of God right from eternity. What was that plan? That God will physically, live among men as King over loving subjects; as Father over His children in a happy family set up and as God over His redeemed and people. *"And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God"*. This is the beginning of heaven, happy and holy eternity. *Question* Are you getting prepared for heaven in the practical sense of it? If Not, then you don't actually, believe in heaven. *2. Pacification with Happiness* a. The Apostle further gave a glimpse of how we will feel in heaven. *"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes"*. Tears of sorrow, anguish, lost loved ones, physical and psychological pains, etc.will all be forgotten. This is difficult to imagine for man. It is like imagining how God promised that *"your sins and iniquities will I remember no more"*. We don't have a problem with God forgiving our sins, but God forgetting our sins will be difficult to imagine. We will all forget the painful past as we will be overwhelmed with the glory of God for eternity. *"There shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away"*. The pains and the tears, called *"light afflictions"* will be for a moment. They will not survive the joy of eternity. b. For those who have difficulty with believing, *"he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful"*. Heaven is prepared already. When Jesus Christ was about going to heaven, He assured the disciples of going to build mansions for them. About 60 years later, when John saw the revelation, he was told by the Lord that it was done. It means it is a settled and concluded matter. *"And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end"*. In heaven there will not be any heat or tension, but total refreshments and happiness. *"I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely"*. Everything God has will be totally ours. All the gifts of God, physical or spiritual, will belong to us as possessions. Nothing needed or useful will be denied. We suffer different lacks while on earth. Heaven will be the opposite. *"He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son"*. Are you an overcomer over sin, Satan and all his temptations? *Question* What are the things you are suffering on earth? Do you see them as temporary? *3. Punishment of Hell* What are the things that will disqualify any from entering heaven? What would be the abode of those who will miss heaven? The answer is fearful. *"But the fearful, and unbelieving"*. Every evil action stems from fear and unbelief. Unbelief of what God has spoken and the consequences of disobedience, fear of man and what man can do are terrible paralysing feelings that draw men to perdition. *"And the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars"*. Notice that all those sins are now also found inside the Church among professing saints. So there will be eternal surprises when those who profess that heaven is their home find themselves in a totally different place called hell. They *"shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone*. *Question* Are you transparently free from all sins? *Prayer Points* 1.Give praises to God that you are in that number saved by grace 🙏. 2.Ask God to search your life, expose, purge and cleanse you from all disqualifying habits 🙏. 3.Pray that the vision of heaven will get brighter and brighter to you and your mind and affections will be focused on heavenly things 🙏. 4.Pray that all believers will be delivered from all forms of self deception and will take entering heaven more seriously 🙏. *HYMN:* How Beautiful Heaven Must Be. *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* JOB 16-18. His last words, as testified by survivors, were "I have seen heaven, and it is beautiful" and "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved." Despite his death, Harper used his final moments to preach the gospel, expressing his deep assurance that beyond death lay a place of eternal peace. A rescued survivor testified that Harper, clinging to the wreckage, asked if he was saved and urged him to believe in Jesus Christ. The survivor later accepted Christ and called himself "the last convert of John Harper."* *Today's passage paints a breath-taking vision of the new heaven and new earth. John sees the Holy City, the New Jerusalem, descending from God, adorned like a bride. A powerful voice declares that God will dwell among His people, wiping away every tear. Death, mourning, crying, and pain will be gone forever. The former things will pass away, and everything will be made new. God, the Alpha and Omega, promises the water of life to those who thirst. But He also warns that those who reject Him (those living in sin, fear, unbelief) will face eternal separation in the lake of fire.* *In this world, we experience suffering in many forms such as loss, illness, disappointment, pain and injustice. But for those who belong to Christ, these trials are temporary. Christ assures us that a glorious future awaits us, one where God Himself will comfort us, and all suffering will cease. This hope should encourage believers to endure hardships with faith, knowing that one day, we will step into a place where joy is endless and pain is no more. It also calls us to live righteously, rejecting sin and embracing the promise of eternity with God.* *No matter what trials you face today, hold unto the hope of heaven. Let this promise strengthen your faith, drive you to share the gospel, and encourage you to live in readiness for Christ's return. A day is coming when all suffering will cease and there will be no more tears, pain or death.
