GLORIOUS 2026 NEW YEAR SERMON 1ST JANUARY 2026 LESSON: Malachi 3:16-18 TOPIC: 2026: YEAR OF GREATER TESTIMONY TEXT: Then you shall again discern Between the righteous and the wicked, Between one who serves God And one who does not serve Him. Malachi 3:18 (NKJV) INTRODUCTION: Some years feel ordinary. You live them, you move on. But there are other years that arrive with a sense of divine weight. I honestly believe 2026 is one of those years. A year that will remember people. A year that will wipe tears. But also… a year that will expose wickedness. Like a two-edged sword. So maybe the question we should all quietly ask ourselves is simple: Where do I really stand with God? May the message bring joy and happiness into your life in Jesus name. [1]. GOD REMEMBERS HIS OWN Mordecai served faithfully. He did the right thing. He protected the king. And then…. No reward. No recognition. Nothing. But one night, the King could not sleep, and the Book of Remembrance was opened. Esther 6:1-3. That is how God works sometimes. He watches. He records. And then, at the right time, He remembers. In 2026, many who have loved God quietly… prayed quietly… given quietly… obeyed quietly… will discover that nothing was wasted. The tears. The sacrifices. The seasons that felt forgotten. God says, “I remembered.” And when God remembers, He doesn’t whisper it. He makes it visible. He brings honor where there was neglect. He restores dignity where there was delay. I think that’s hope for someone who has waited a long time. Malachi 3:16 [2]. THE FAITHFUL WILL BE CELEBRATED There are people who have walked with God sincerely, even when it cost them something. In 2026, many of such people will be openly lifted. God delights in turning quiet obedience into loud testimony. He will cause righteousness to shine like light… not because anyone fought for recognition, but because God Himself steps in and says, “It is time.” Psalm 37:5-6 Unfulfilled dreams. Abandoned projects. Long prayers that seemed unanswered. This is a year where God breathes again on what looked buried. It will not be by human push or manipulation, but by divine remembrance. Many will simply say, “This can only be God.” [3]. A WARNING TO THE WICKED ( Revelation 22:11-12) But God also speaks with a sober voice. To those who delight in evil… who oppress, destroy, manipulate, and mock His name… He says, “Repent.” Because the days of wickedness are numbered and vengeance is mine. Romans 12:19. Also, Revelation 22:11-12 reminds us that the Lord is coming with reward and judgment. If people insist on wickedness, this same year that blesses the righteous will confront the evil-doer. It is still mercy that God warns before He judges. But judgment is real. CONCLUSION: 2026 A YEAR OF DIVIDING LINE! So, 2026 stands as a dividing line. A Year of Greater Testimony for those who love God. A Year of Vengeance for those who hate His ways. The choice… is ours. PRAYER: Lord, remember me in 2026. Let my life enter Your Book of Remembrance. Help me walk sincerely with You. Deliver me from every path of wickedness. Amen. 🌿 Mystical Gardens Tale 🌿 Before You Enter the Garden There are seasons when our prayers feel like they vanish into the wind. When the words we’ve spoken a hundred times come out hollow, when we lose the words to pray, and Heaven feels so far away. If you've ever ran out of words and no longer have what it takes to pray, this story is for you. ✨The Silent Prayer✨ She had prayed and prayed until her voice broke and her tears ran dry. Every word she could think of to pray she’d already said. Every plea, every promise, she had prayed until every bit of hope had fled. Now, when she tried to pray, her mind went blank. She had no words left. Her heart whispered, What’s the point? She felt like she was talking through a broken phone line and her words went nowhere. That afternoon, she wandered without a destination, her thoughts were as heavy as her steps. Then she noticed a single flower blooming a few feet from the path she was on. Its color was brighter than any she had ever seen or that she could remember. Something about it stirred her heart, and she stepped off the path, finding herself standing at the edge of a garden she didn’t remember ever seeing before. The air shimmered with light, soft and alive. In the middle of the beautiful garden stood an amazing tree whose leaves rustled and sang quietly in the breeze. The trees branches swayed toward her. She felt a tickle in her mind a if it was trying to speak. As if that were possible. If only she could have heard. The tree was trying to talk to her. It was trying to show her that every bloom in that garden was like a prayer answered in its own time. How the tree wished she would listen, but knew that her heart was too tired to hear. She sat on the soft grass and leaned down to smell the flower. Its fragrance was sweet and calming.That’s when a white bunny hopped from behind the flowers and into her lap. Its fur was so soft and she stroked it absently, finding comfort in the stillness. It was in that quiet that she heard a voice so soft she almost missed it: “Don’t stop believing. Don’t stop praying. What you planted in tears is about ready to bloom.” She blinked, and the whisper was gone. Setting the bunny down, she left the garden, unaware that Dustaysha, the little white rabbit, followed quietly behind her, a small folded paper tucked carefully in her pouch. At the edge of the garden, Dustaysha dropped the paper onto the path. It was a torn page from a diary. The ink was faded, but it was still legible: "My mind had to be silent before my heart could understand what God was trying to tell me." Before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. Isaiah 65:24 She read the words, and something inside her stirred with recognition. She finally understood the message God was sending. The next morning, she looked out the window in awe. Beside the sidewalk leading up to her house bloomed the same flower she had seen in the garden. A petal caught the sunlight and shimmered. For the first time in a long while, she smiled. Maybe she did have another prayer inside her.
