18-08-2026 Nothing Is Impossible With God Mark 10:27 (AMP): “With people [as far as it depends on them] it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.” Mark 10:27 reminds us that our limitations are not God’s limitations. There will be moments when you look at a situation and think, “There is absolutely no way this can happen.” Maybe the door seems completely closed, the circumstances seem too complicated, or something you have been praying for feels impossible. But Jesus tells us something powerful: what is impossible with people is possible with God. Sometimes we measure God’s ability by our own ability. We think, “I can't fix this, I don't have enough, I don't know how this will work out.” And perhaps you don't know how—and that's okay. God doesn't need you to know how. He simply asks you to trust Him. Your responsibility is not to figure out every detail. Your responsibility is to keep believing, keep praying, keep walking in obedience, and keep your eyes on the One who can do what you cannot. God can make a way where there appears to be no way. He can restore what seems broken beyond repair. He can provide when the resources seem insufficient. He can open doors you could never open yourself. Your impossible situation is not an impossible situation for God. Today, surrender the things you cannot control. Stop carrying the pressure of having to figure everything out. Give God room to work in His way and in His timing. 🙏 Prayer Father, Thank You that nothing is impossible for You. When I look at my circumstances and see limitations, help me to look at You and see possibility. Forgive me for the times I've allowed fear, doubt, or my own understanding to become bigger than my faith. Teach me to trust You even when I cannot see the way forward. I surrender my impossible situations to You. Where I see no way, make a way. Where I feel weak, give me strength. Where I feel uncertain, give me peace. Help me remember that I don't have to understand everything to trust You. I believe that You are able to do what I cannot do. I believe that You are working even when I cannot see it. WAIT… THAT’S IN THE BIBLE? — DAY 15 A lighthearted look at some of the wonderfully unexpected things you discover when you actually read your Bible, context still matters! “Am I so short of madmen that you have to bring this fellow here to carry on like this in front of me?” 1 Samuel 21:15 David is running for his life and ends up in Gath. There’s just one problem… THEY RECOGNISE HIM. So David quickly comes up with a survival plan. Disguise himself? Sneak away? Hide somewhere? Nope. HE PRETENDS TO BE COMPLETELY MAD. He scratches marks on the doors. He lets saliva run down his beard. The servants bring him before King Achish, who takes one look at David and basically says: “DO YOU REALLY THINK MY PALACE DOESN’T HAVE ENOUGH CHAOS ALREADY?! WHY ARE YOU BRINGING ME MORE CRAZY?!” In fact, Achish’s actual words are almost as funny: “Am I so short of madmen…?” Basically: “Gentlemen, my crazy department is FULL. We are NOT accepting new applicants.” PALACE VACANCIES Madmen required POSITIONS FILLED. ✅ Context still matters! David wasn’t simply behaving strangely for a laugh. He was frightened for his life and pretended to be insane so Achish wouldn’t regard him as a threat. There’s actually something beautiful underneath this bizarre episode. David looked ridiculous. He was frightened. His circumstances were completely out of control. But God still brought him through. Sometimes deliverance doesn’t look quite like we imagined it would. But still… Somewhere around three thousand years ago, an exasperated king essentially looked at his staff and said: “I HAVE ENOUGH CRAZY AROUND HERE ALREADY!” And honestly… some sentences are timeless.

Be a Peacemaker (Matthew 5:9) We live in a world where conflict is everywhere. Arguments happen in families. Friendships break over misunderstandings. People fight over opinions. Social media turns disagreements into battles. Sometimes, even Christians can become so focused on proving themselves right that they forget to show the character of Christ. But Jesus gives us a different calling: “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” Notice that Jesus didn't say, “Blessed are the people who win every argument.” He said: “Blessed are the peacemakers.” Being a peacemaker doesn't mean avoiding every difficult conversation. It doesn't mean pretending that wrong is right. It doesn't mean allowing people to mistreat you. And it doesn't mean remaining silent when something needs to be addressed. Being a peacemaker means choosing a response that seeks reconciliation rather than revenge. Sometimes peace begins with listening. Before responding in anger, listen. Before assuming someone's intentions, ask questions. Before posting something hurtful, pause. Before repeating someone's mistake to others, consider whether your words will help or destroy. The Bible reminds us that a gentle answer can turn away anger. Your words have power. You can use them to heal or to wound. To build or to tear down. To reconcile or to divide. Think about your relationships today. Is there someone you're angry with? Someone you haven't spoken to? Someone you need to forgive? Someone you need to apologize to? Maybe you've been waiting for the other person to make the first move. But sometimes following Jesus means having the courage to take the first step. Say: “I'm sorry.” Say: “Can we talk?” Say: “I forgive you.” Say: “Let's work this out.” Those words don't make you weak. They can demonstrate the strength of Christ working in you. Jesus Himself is our greatest example. He came to reconcile sinful humanity to God. The cross shows us that God doesn't simply ignore broken relationships. He made a way for reconciliation. And if we have received God's grace, we should become people who extend grace to others. So don't be the person who adds fuel to every argument. Don't spread gossip. Don't celebrate someone else's failure. Don't use social media to attack people. Don't allow pride to destroy relationships that could be restored. Instead, be the person who brings calm into chaotic situations. Be the person who listens. Be the person who encourages forgiveness. Be the person who speaks truth with love. Be the person who points people toward Christ. And remember: You cannot control how everyone responds to you. Your responsibility is to control your own response and pursue peace wherever it is possible. As Romans 12:18 teaches, “If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.” Sometimes peace will require boundaries. Sometimes it will require distance. Sometimes reconciliation won't be possible immediately. But even then, you can refuse to allow hatred to control your heart. Pray for those who hurt you. Give the situation to God. Choose grace over revenge. Choose wisdom over anger. Choose peace over pride. In a world that is quick to fight, be someone who brings the peace of Christ. Tuesday, 18th August, 2026 TITLE: "FORGETTING THE PAST, PRESSING TOWARD THE PRIZE" ANCHOR SCRIPTURE(S) Philippians 3:13–14 (KJV) "Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." Hebrews 12:1–2 (KJV) "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God." QUOTE TO REFLECT ON "Do not let yesterday hold you back from what God has prepared for tomorrow." DAY'S REFLECTION Life is a journey, and every journey has a past, a present, and a future. Some people remain trapped by past failures, disappointments, regrets, or even past successes. But Paul teaches us an important principle in Philippians 3:13–14: keep moving forward. Paul says, "forgetting those things which are behind." This does not mean literally erasing the past from our memory. Rather, it means refusing to allow the past to control our present or determine our future. Past failures should teach us, not imprison us. Past successes should encourage us, not make us complacent. The phrase "reaching forth" speaks of stretching forward with determination. Paul was focused on what was before him. He understood that spiritual growth requires continual progress. The Christian life is not about becoming comfortable with yesterday's achievements; it is about continually pursuing God's purpose. Paul says, "I press toward the mark." To press means to pursue with determination despite difficulties. The mark is the goal or destination toward which he was moving. This teaches us that reaching God's purpose requires focus, perseverance, and discipline. Hebrews 12:1 uses the picture of a race. Runners cannot successfully complete a race while carrying unnecessary weights. Likewise, there are attitudes, habits, relationships, distractions, and sins that can slow our spiritual progress. We must be willing to lay them aside. The writer then gives us the secret of endurance: "Looking unto Jesus." Our eyes must remain fixed on Christ. People can disappoint us, circumstances can change, and our own strength can fail, but Jesus remains the author and finisher of our faith. Jesus Himself endured the cross because He focused on the joy that was set before Him. In the same way, we must look beyond temporary difficulties toward the eternal purpose God has prepared for us. Today, do not allow yesterday's failure to cancel tomorrow's opportunity. Learn from the past, release what must be released, remove every unnecessary weight, and keep your eyes on Jesus. The race is not over. Keep running. Keep believing. Keep pressing forward. MEDITATION SCRIPTURE(S) Isaiah 43:18–19 (KJV) "Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
