• Your Season of Smallness Will Not Last

You may be in a season where it feels as though life has taken more from you than it has given. You may have lost opportunities, relationships, resources, confidence, or even the joy you once carried. But your present condition is not the conclusion of your story.

God is still a God of restoration.

    Jeremiah 30:19 says:

«“Then out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of those who make merry; I will multiply them, and they shall not diminish; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.”»

    What a powerful promise!

God says, “I will multiply them, and they shall not diminish.”

Where there has been loss, He can bring restoration.
Where there has been emptiness, He can bring abundance.
Where there have been tears, He can bring thanksgiving.
Where you have felt insignificant, He says, “They shall not be small.”

Perhaps you have watched others advance while you wonder when your own season will change. Perhaps you have smiled in public while privately asking, “Lord, when will things get better for me?”

Don't let your current season define your future.

God can rebuild what was broken.
He can restore what was lost.
    He can renew your strength.
He can bring joy back to places that have known sorrow.

Your story is still being written.

The season that made you weep will not last forever. There is a time when God can turn your tears into testimonies and your sorrow into songs of thanksgiving.

May the day come when your life becomes such a powerful testimony of God's faithfulness that the sound coming from you is no longer the sound of weeping, but the sound of thanksgiving, joy, and praise.

    Let's Pray

Heavenly Father, thank You because You are the God of restoration. I ask You to turn every season of sorrow in my life into a season of thanksgiving. Multiply the work of my hands, restore everything that has been diminished, and lead me into greater growth, honor, peace, and joy. Let my life become a testimony of Your faithfulness and cause others to glorify Your name. In Jesus' name, Amen.

    Declare It With Faith

“I will not diminish! By the grace of God, I am entering a season of restoration, multiplication, honor, and thanksgiving. My tears will become testimonies, and my life will glorify God!”

  • DISCIPLINE, THE MULTIPLIER
Key Texts: Proverbs 12:1; First Corinthians 9:25–27; Second Peter 1:5–8
    Introduction
Many people desire success, greatness, influence, and spiritual power, but few appreciate the force that multiplies all of them: discipline. Talent may open a door, but discipline keeps it open. Opportunity may start a journey, but discipline determines how far you go.
Discipline is a multiplier because it takes what you already have and increases its effectiveness. A little knowledge with discipline becomes expertise. A small gift with discipline becomes excellence. A modest income with discipline becomes wealth. A basic prayer life with discipline becomes spiritual authority.
God often blesses people, but discipline helps them sustain and multiply the blessing.
    1. Discipline Multiplies Potential
Every person carries potential, but potential alone changes nothing.
A seed has the potential to become a tree, but it must be planted, watered, and protected. In the same way, your gifts require discipline to grow.
    • Talent without discipline becomes wasted ability.
    • Intelligence without discipline becomes unrealized promise.
    • Calling without discipline becomes frustration.
Lesson: Discipline converts potential into performance.
    2. Discipline Multiplies Time
We all receive the same twenty-four hours each day. The difference is not the amount of time but the management of time.
    Disciplined people:
    • Plan their day.
    • Prioritize important tasks.
    • Avoid unnecessary distractions.
    • Build consistent routines.
A disciplined hour is more productive than several unfocused hours.
Time is multiplied when it is organized.
    3. Discipline Multiplies Spiritual Growth
Paul compared the Christian life to an athlete in training.
An athlete does not become strong by wishing; he becomes strong by repeated practice. Likewise, spiritual maturity grows through disciplined habits:
    • Prayer
    • Bible study
    • Worship
    • Fasting
    • Obedience
    • Fellowship
Occasional devotion produces occasional growth. Consistent devotion produces transformation.
Small spiritual disciplines practiced daily create great spiritual strength over time.
    4. Discipline Multiplies Influence
People trust those who are consistent.
A disciplined leader arrives on time, keeps promises, follows through on responsibilities, and maintains integrity even when no one is watching.
Influence is not built primarily by charisma; it is built by reliability.
Consistency creates credibility, and credibility multiplies influence.
    5. Discipline Multiplies Finances
Financial increase is not only about earning more; it is also about managing well.
    Disciplined financial habits include:
    • Budgeting
    • Saving
    • Avoiding impulsive spending
    • Investing wisely
    • Giving faithfully
Many people pray for increase while ignoring the discipline that preserves increase.
What discipline preserves, God can multiply.
    6. Discipline Multiplies Character
Character is formed through repeated choices.
Every time you choose truth over lies, purity over compromise, patience over anger, and obedience over convenience, your character is strengthened.
Great character is not built in one dramatic moment but in thousands of disciplined decisions.
Your habits are shaping your destiny.
    Biblical Examples
    Joseph
He remained disciplined in Potiphar's house, in prison, and eventually in the palace. His discipline multiplied his favour.
    Daniel
He disciplined his appetite and his prayer life. God multiplied his wisdom and influence.
    Paul
He disciplined his body and his ministry. God multiplied his impact across nations.
    Jesus
He maintained disciplined prayer, obedience, and focus on the Father's will. His life changed the world.
    Practical Ways to Build Discipline
    • Start with small commitments.
    • Create daily routines.
    • Remove distractions.
    • Track your progress.
    • Be accountable to someone.
    • Keep going even when motivation is low.
Remember: Motivation gets you started; discipline keeps you moving.
    A Powerful Truth
Imagine two people with the same talent.
    • One practices occasionally.
    • The other practices every day.
After one year, the difference is noticeable. After five years, the difference is dramatic. After ten years, they appear to be in different categories.
The multiplier was not talent; it was discipline.
    Conclusion
Discipline is not punishment; it is the pathway to multiplication. It multiplies your time, potential, finances, influence, character, and spiritual growth. God has placed gifts inside you, but discipline is the tool that develops them into greatness.
Do not despise small daily disciplines. The prayer you consistently pray, the Bible you consistently read, the money you consistently save, the work you consistently do, and the character you consistently maintain are all being multiplied over time.
What you do repeatedly, God can increase abundantly.
    Prayer Points
    • Father, give me the grace to live a disciplined life.
    • Lord, help me to be faithful in small daily habits.
    • Deliver me from procrastination and distraction.
    • Holy Spirit, strengthen my consistency in prayer and Bible study.
    • Father, let discipline multiply my gifts and opportunities.
    • Teach me to manage my time, finances, and responsibilities wisely.
    • I declare that through discipline, my life will produce lasting fruit and fulfil God's purpose, in Jesus' name. Amen.

  • Need to know.
The events of 2 Kings 4 take place during a difficult period in Israel's history.

    The nation was spiritually compromised.

Many had turned away from God.

And famine had become a recurring reality in the land.

Yet even in those dark days, God had preserved a faithful remnant.

The story begins when a man arrives from Baal-shalishah.

He brings an offering to Elisha:

Twenty loaves of barley bread and fresh ears of grain.

At first glance, it seems like an ordinary act of generosity.

    But there is a problem.

Elisha is surrounded by a hundred men.

And twenty barley loaves are nowhere near enough to feed them.

Barley was the bread of the poor.

    This was not a feast.
This was a small gift in the face of a great need.

Humanly speaking, the math did not work.

The servant immediately recognized the impossibility of the situation.

    He asked:

"How can I set this before a hundred men?" (2 Kings 4:43, ESV)

    It is an honest question.

The kind of question we often ask ourselves.

How can this salary cover all these expenses?
How can this strength carry me through this season?
How can this opportunity be enough for what lies ahead?
How can this little become sufficient?

The servant looked at the bread.

    Elisha looked at God.

    And that changed everything.

    Elisha replied:

"Give them to the men, that they may eat, for thus says the LORD, 'They shall eat and have some left.'" (2 Kings 4:43, ESV)

    Notice what happened.

The miracle did not begin with abundance.

    It began with a promise.

Before there was multiplication, there was the Word of God.

Before there were leftovers, there was trust in what God had spoken.

    The servant saw limitation.
    Elisha saw provision.

    The servant calculated resources.
    Elisha trusted the Lord.

    So the bread was distributed.

    And Scripture records:

"And they ate and had some left, according to the word of the LORD." (2 Kings 4:44, ESV)

    Not only was there enough.

    There was more than enough.

Because God's provision is often greater than our expectations.

The miracle was never about bread.

It was about the God who stands behind His Word.

A God who is not limited by what is in our hands.

A God who specializes in taking what appears insufficient and making it sufficient.

A God who can do more with our little than we can do with our much.

Many of us are living in the servant's question.

    We look at our resources.

    Our finances.
    Our abilities.
    Our future.

    And we quietly wonder:

"How can this possibly be enough?"

But this passage invites us to look beyond the bread.

    Beyond the numbers.
    Beyond the circumstances.

And to listen for the voice of God.

Because throughout Scripture, God's people repeatedly discover the same truth:

What is impossible in human calculations becomes possible in God's hands.

The widow saw a little oil.
    God saw provision.

    Moses saw a sea.
    God saw a pathway.

The disciples saw five loaves and two fish.

Jesus saw a multitude that would be fed.

    And Elisha saw twenty loaves.

    God saw abundance.

Perhaps today your greatest need is not more resources.

Perhaps it is a greater confidence in the God who provides them.

Because the same God who fed a hundred men with twenty loaves has not changed.

And sometimes the greatest miracle is not that God gives us more.

It is that He teaches us that He is enough.

"And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." — Philippians 4:19 (ESV)

    TOPIC: DELIVERANCE FROM MARITAL BURDENS

    MEMORIZE:
"He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire." Psalm 46:9 (KJV)

    BIBLE READING: JOHN 2:1-11
1 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:

2 And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.

3 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.

4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.

5 His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.

6 And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.

7 Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.

8 And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.

9 When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,

10 And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.

11 This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

    MESSAGE:
Today, I will discuss marital burdens as another category of burdens. Satan hates everything God has created, including the institution of marriage. This is why he always tries to disrupt the holy matrimony between a man and a woman. Sometimes, he focuses on keeping a man and a woman from ever getting married, and at other times, he visits a husband and his wife with different problems that will keep them from enjoying peace and rest in their home.

Today's Bible reading tells us about a wedding in Cana of Galilee. The bridegroom must have thought that everything that was needed for the wedding had been provided. However, they suddenly ran out of wine. I am sure that they felt ashamed until the Almighty God intervened.

(1 Samuel 1:1-20) tells us the story of Hannah, who was barren. Her adversary mocked her daily, and as a result, her life became unbearable. She didn't plan to be barren, but barrenness came nonetheless, and there was nothing she could do about it. The Burden Bearer stepped into her situation, however, and she gave birth to six children, among whom was the renowned prophet, Samuel.

Sarah was also under the yoke of barrenness until the Burden Bearer visited her and her husband in Genesis 18:1-6. Before the Burden Bearer intervened in their marital situation, Sarah had been barren for decades, which was why she laughed when she heard that she would give birth to a son the following year. If you have been looking for the fruit of the womb and have lost hope that you will ever carry your own child, I want you to know that the Burden Bearer is also the hope of the hopeless, and He will surprise you. In the name that is above every other name, I decree that every barren woman who is reading this devotional will sing for joy soon.

Beloved, there is no marital challenge that the power of God cannot subdue. The Lord can command peace to reign where there is chaos and disunity, and He can still the storm in any marriage. If you are married and are currently experiencing any storm in your marriage, I pray that the Burden Bearer will step into your marriage now and cause you to sing a new song, in Jesus' name. Also, if you are of marriageable age and are yet to be married, I decree that the Almighty God will settle you maritally with a godly spouse, in Jesus' name.

    KEY POINT:
There is no marital challenge that the Burden Bearer cannot subdue.

    BIBLE READING IN ONE YEAR:
    ISAIAH 9 - 11

    AUTHOR: PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE

HYMNAL 10 - IN CHRIST ALONE
1 In Christ alone, my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
    This Cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My Comforter, my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand

2 In Christ alone, who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
'Til on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live, I live

3 There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ

4 No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life's first cry to final breath
    Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand

And they bare it. 9 When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom, 10 And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now. 11 This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him. MESSAGE: Today, I will discuss marital burdens as another category of burdens. • From Mourning to Multiplication

    Jeremiah 30:19 (NKJV)
"Then out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of those who make merry; I will multiply them, and they shall not diminish; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small."

Jeremiah 30 is a chapter of hope. God was speaking to a people who had experienced captivity, loss, and discouragement. Their present circumstances did not look promising, but God declared that their future would not be defined by their pain. He promised restoration.

Notice the progression in God's promise.

First, thanksgiving replaces sorrow. Before God changes circumstances, He often changes hearts. The people who once wept would become a people of praise. Thanksgiving is one of the first signs that restoration has begun.

Second, God says, "I will multiply them, and they shall not diminish." What the enemy tried to reduce, God promised to increase. This multiplication was not only about numbers but also about influence, strength, opportunities, and fruitfulness. God's blessing always overcomes the losses of the past.

Third, God declares, "I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small." The people who had been humiliated would receive honor. Those who had been overlooked would become significant again. God's restoration does more than return what was lost—it brings His glory into our lives.

This promise finds its fullest expression in Christ. Through Jesus, God restores broken lives, gives us a new identity, fills our mouths with praise, and makes us fruitful for His kingdom. Whatever season of loss you may be facing today, remember that God's final word is not diminishment but restoration.

Do not allow your present circumstances to convince you that your future is small. God's plans for His children are filled with hope. He is still able to turn mourning into joy, scarcity into abundance, and shame into honor.

    Reflection:

Is thanksgiving flowing from your heart even while you wait for God's restoration?

In what area of your life do you need to trust God for multiplication instead of diminishment?

How can you live today as someone who believes God's promises are greater than your present circumstances?

    Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You that You are the God of restoration. Thank You for turning sorrow into thanksgiving and despair into joy. Where I have experienced loss, bring Your multiplication. Where I have felt insignificant, reveal Your glory in my life. Help me to trust Your promises even when I cannot yet see their fulfillment. Let my life be filled with praise, fruitfulness, and the honor that comes from walking with You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

TITLE: "The Seed That Brings a Great Harvest"

    ANCHOR SCRIPTURE(S)

John 12:24 (KJV) "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit."

1 Corinthians 3:6 (KJV) "I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase."

    QUOTE TO REFLECT ON

"Every great harvest begins with a seed surrendered to God and nurtured by His grace."

    DAY'S REFLECTION

God's kingdom operates on the principle of sowing, sacrifice, and growth. Jesus taught that a grain of wheat must fall into the ground and die before it can produce much fruit. What appears to be loss is often the beginning of multiplication. Many of God's greatest blessings come after seasons of sacrifice, patience, and faithful obedience.

Paul also reminds us that while people have different responsibilities—some plant and others water—it is God who gives the increase. Our duty is to be faithful in what He has entrusted to us, while trusting Him for the results. We cannot force growth, but we can remain obedient and diligent.

Consider a farmer who sows quality seed into fertile soil. For days or even weeks, nothing appears above the ground. Yet beneath the surface, life is developing. If the farmer becomes impatient and digs up the seed, the harvest will be lost. Instead, he continues watering and waiting, confident that growth is taking place. Likewise, God's work in our lives often happens unseen before it becomes visible.

Perhaps you have been sowing seeds of prayer, kindness, service, generosity, or faithful labour without seeing immediate results. Do not lose heart. God sees every seed you sow, and in His perfect time He will bring forth a harvest that honours Him.

Today, remain faithful in planting good seeds. Trust God to bring the increase, knowing that no labour done for Him is ever wasted.

    MEDITATION SCRIPTURE(S) WITH FULL VERSES

Galatians 6:9 (KJV) "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."

Psalm 126:5 (KJV) "They that sow in tears shall reap in joy."

    LIFE LESSONS (IMPLICATIONS)

    1. Fruitfulness often follows sacrifice and patience.

    2. God alone gives lasting increase.

    3. Faithfulness is more important than immediate results.

    4. Every good seed has the potential for a great harvest.

    5. God's timing produces the best outcome.

    EVERYDAY ACTION

Sow one act of kindness today.

Continue faithfully in your God-given assignment.

Pray for patience while waiting for results.

Thank God for the harvest He is preparing.

    PRAYER

Heavenly Father, help me to sow faithfully and trust You for the increase. Give me patience to wait for Your harvest and strength to remain obedient. In Jesus' name, Amen.

    DECLARATION

    I will sow faithfully.
God will give the increase. My labour in the Lord is not in vain.
I shall reap a harvest in due season. My life will bear much fruit for God's glory.

"It takes a hen to make an egg. It takes an egg to make a hen."

You've heard it a thousand times. Maybe you've laughed it off as a silly philosophical joke. Maybe you've debated it with friends late at night. Maybe you've never really stopped to think about it at all.

But here's the truth: this question is not a joke. It is a doorway.

If you answer it honestly, you will find yourself staring at one of the most profound questions a human being can ask: Where did everything come from?
And once you see the answer, you can never unsee it.

    ---

Most people avoid this question because they think it has no answer. They assume it's a paradox—a circular trap with no escape. So they move on. They scroll past. They stay comfortable.

But what if the answer was sitting in plain sight all along? What if the most ancient book in human history gave us the answer thousands of years before scientists ever weighed in?

You don't want to be the one who missed this.

    ---

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭
Before we look at any theory, let's go to the source that claims to be the very Word of the Creator Himself. The Bible opens with these words:

    𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝟏:𝟐𝟎–𝟐𝟐 (𝐊𝐉𝐕):
"𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥, 𝘓𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘣𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘩 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘸𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘺 𝘧𝘭𝘺 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘩 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘯 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘯. 𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘵𝘩, 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘣𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘺, 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘸𝘭 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥: 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘴𝘢𝘸 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥. 𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮, 𝘴𝘢𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘉𝘦 𝘧𝘳𝘶𝘪𝘵𝘧𝘶𝘭, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘪𝘱𝘭𝘺, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘭𝘦𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘸𝘭 𝘮𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘪𝘱𝘭𝘺 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘩."

Notice the order: God created the fowl (the chicken is a fowl) first. He created them as fully formed, mature birds. Then He commanded them to "𝘣𝘦 𝘧𝘳𝘶𝘪𝘵𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘪𝘱𝘭𝘺"-which means they would lay eggs.

So the chicken came first. The egg came second.
But wait—does that really answer the question? What about the egg that hatched the first chicken?

Doesn't that egg have to come first?
Here's where the distinction matters: The Bible says God created the chicken directly—not through an evolutionary process. He didn't start with an egg. He started with a fully grown, egg-laying bird. Therefore, the very first chicken was created without being hatched from an egg. The egg only came later as a means of reproduction.

    ---

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡: 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬
You might be thinking, That's just a religious answer. Science says something different.

But let's be honest: every worldview has to account for the first chicken. Either it came from a previous non-chicken (which is evolution), or it was created directly by God. There is no third option.

If the chicken came first by creation, then the question points to a Creator. If the egg came first by evolution, then the question points to blind chance.

The Bible is crystal clear: In the beginning, God created. That means the chicken (and every other "kind") was made fully formed, mature, and ready to reproduce.

    𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝟏:𝟐𝟒–𝟐𝟓 (𝐊𝐉𝐕):
"𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥, 𝘓𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘩 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥, 𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥: 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘴𝘰. 𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘦𝘵𝘩 𝘶𝘱𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥: 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘴𝘢𝘸 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥."

God made the animals as adults, then told them to multiply. The egg is the result of multiplication, not the source of the first individual.

    ---

    Thought-Provoking Questions for You
If the chicken came first, who put it there?
If the egg came first, how did the first egg get the genetic information to produce a chicken?
Which view gives you more certainty about the purpose of life?
Could it be that this simple riddle is actually a test—a test of whether you will accept the clear answer of Scripture or remain in confusion?

    ---

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐃𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭
You didn't read this post to settle a joke. You read it because deep down you know that origins matter. If there is a Creator, then your life has meaning, purpose, and accountability.

The chicken came first because God made it first. That's not a fable—it's the testimony of the One who was there.

    𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝟏:𝟑 (𝐊𝐉𝐕):
"𝘈𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘣𝘺 𝘩𝘪𝘮; 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦."

The egg-or-chicken question is a distraction if it keeps you from the real issue: Did God create, or did He not?
Choose wisely. The answer changes everything.

--- 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡: 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 You might be thinking, That's just a religious answer. 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝟏:𝟐𝟒–𝟐𝟓 (𝐊𝐉𝐕): "𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥, 𝘓𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘩 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥, 𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥: 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘴𝘰. God made the animals as adults, then told them to multiply. The egg is the result of multiplication, not the source of the first individual. --- Thought-Provoking Questions for You If the chicken came first, who put it there? If the egg came first, how did the first egg get the genetic information to produce a chicken? Which view gives you more certainty about the purpose of life? Could it be that this simple riddle is actually a test—a test of whether you will accept the clear answer of Scripture or remain in confusion? --- 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐃𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 You didn't read this post to settle a joke. You read it because deep down you know that origins matter. If there is a Creator, then your life has meaning, purpose, and accountability. The chicken came first because God made it first. That's not a fable—it's the testimony of the One who was there. 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝟏:𝟑 (𝐊𝐉𝐕): "𝘈𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘣𝘺 𝘩𝘪𝘮; 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦." The egg-or-chicken question is a distraction if it keeps you from the real issue: Did God create, or did He not? Choose wisely. The answer changes everything. --- 𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮? 1. Evening devotion for today.

    ED.i. *DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST*

    *DATE:*
    MONDAY 6TH JULY, 2026.

    *SUB-THEME:*
THE CONSEQUENCES OF REJECTING GOD'S GRACE.

    *TOPIC:*
    SICKNESS AND DISEASES.

    *TEXT:*
    2 KINGS 5:20-27.
    20. Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said to himself, “My master was too easy on Naaman, this Aramean, by not accepting from him what he brought. As surely as the Lord lives, I will run after him and get something from him.”
    21. So Gehazi hurried after Naaman. When Naaman saw him running toward him, he got down from the chariot to meet him. “Is everything all right?” he asked.
    22. “Everything is all right,” Gehazi answered. “My master sent me to say, ‘Two young men from the company of the prophets have just come to me from the hill country of Ephraim. Please give them a talent of silver and two sets of clothing.’ ”
    23. “By all means, take two talents,” said Naaman. He urged Gehazi to accept them, and then tied up the two talents of silver in two bags, with two sets of clothing. He gave them to two of his servants, and they carried them ahead of Gehazi.
    24. When Gehazi came to the hill, he took the things from the servants and put them away in the house. He sent the men away and they left.
    25. When he went in and stood before his master, Elisha asked him, “Where have you been, Gehazi?” “Your servant didn’t go anywhere,” Gehazi answered.
    26. But Elisha said to him, “Was not my spirit with you when the man got down from his chariot to meet you? Is this the time to take money or to accept clothes or olive groves and vineyards, or flocks and herds, or male and female slaves?
    27. Naaman’s leprosy will cling to you and to your descendants forever.” Then Gehazi went from Elisha’s presence and his skin was leprous—it had become as white as snow.

    *TOPIC:*
    SICKNESS AND DISEASES.

    *THE MESSAGE:*
Sickness and diseases are signs of physical or mental unwellness. In 2 Kings 5, Naaman was healed of leprosy through faith and obedience, revealing God's power. In contrast, Gehazi, Elisha's servant, fell into sin due to greed. Driven by the love of money, he deceitfully pursued Naaman to acquire gifts Elisha had refused. His actions were not hidden from God. Through divine insight, Elisha confronted Gehazi and was struck with the same leprosy that had afflicted Naaman. Greed leads not only to spiritual ruin but also to physical consequences. Today, because of the love of money, some have indulged in prostitution. Some have contracted sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) while others are living miserably as a consequence. Are you compromising your faith for a fleeting gain? Seek God's mercy in repentance.

    *REFLECTION:*
Be warned! Greed can destroy your life.

    *PRAYER:*
Mighty God, help me to overcome greed in my life, in Jesus' name. Amen.

    *MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:*
    HEBREWS 10:29.
29 How much more severely do you think one deserves to be punished who has trampled on the Son of God, profaned the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and insulted the Spirit of grace?

    *PARTAKING OF ABRAHAM'S BLESSINGS*

    *TEXT:* DEUTERONOMY 28:1-14.

1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.
6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.
8 The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
9 The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.
10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee.
11 And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
12 The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:
14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

*Timeless Truth:*_"Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us:...That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith"_
    Galatians 3:13,14.

    *INTRODUCTION*

The blessings God gave to Abraham is summarized in Genesis 12:2,3. They entail making him a great nation and a great name in addition to making him a blessing to mankind. This blessing is all encompassing covering spiritual, physical, social and material. Our text is a break down of those blessings to the natural seed of Abraham, which is the nation of Israel. It can be zeroed down to the citizens since the blessings on the citizens are blessings on the nation and vice versa. Even when individuals miss out of the blessings through carelessness and faithlessness, the nation will still enjoy the blessings as a whole. The Church of God automatically, inherits these blessings through the death of Jesus Christ that made it possible for the wild olive tree to be grafted into the olive tree. There are some striking observations. As the Old Covenant started with blessings or blessedness, the same thing with the new covenant when Jesus pronounced blessedness on the believers (Matthew 5:3-11). So the essence and motivation of divine covenants is not judgements, but blessings. The blessings or blessedness of the Old Covenant as revealed in the text are majorly earthly and material with little touch of spiritual blessings. However, all the blessedness mentioned by Jesus, in Matthew 5, are on spiritual, the material can only be gotten by inference. Thus, the emphasis of the blessedness in the New Covenant is spiritual blessings while the material blessings are not denied either. These spiritual blessings are called *"the promise of the Spirit through faith"* (Galatians 3:14). Thus, those pulpits and people who put more emphasis on the material blessings than the spiritual blessings of Abraham's blessings are still, by implication, living in the Old Testament. Also observe that the blessedness Moses pronounced in the Old Covenant are just four, while the blessedness Jesus pronounced in the New Testament are nine which is the same number of the fruit of the Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit. Thus, the blessings of the New Testament are greater and better than that of the old. *"But now hath he (Jesus) obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises"* (Hebrews 8:6). Just as the blessings of the Old Covenant is for the Nation Israel and individuals are expected to tap into each of them, the blessedness of the New Covenant is for the Church and individuals have the responsibility to freely tap into any and all of them by faith. In the text is the breakdown of the blessings and the conditions. They are self explanatory. Happy is he that takes the bull by the horn and does all that is necessary to be a partaker of those blessings, most especially the spiritual blessings.

    *1. The Multidimensional Blessings*

    *a. Professional Blessings*

The major occupation of Israel was farming and raising livestock. Both are done in the field. *"Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field"*. Obviously, this promise is only for those who work and have a clear work profession and not for the lazy and indolent.

    *b. Procreation Blessings*

The first blessing God gave Adam and the living beings He created is procreation. *"And God blessed them, saying, be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth..."* (Genesis 1:22, 24, 29). *"Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep"*. Procreation and multiplication are both responsibilities and the demand of God on all. Unwillingness to procreate, for whatever reason is not the will of God. Lack of procreation is not just a fundamental right, but a fundamental failure.

    *c. Prosperity Blessings*

    a. Their harvests and their profitable labours or sweats are also blessed. *"Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store"*. There are also social blessings. *"Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out"*. Honour and happiness, are not shame or disgrace are marked for true children of God. He promised, *"My people shall never be ashamed"* in the midst of the saints and sinners. There is a divine command of blessings *"in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee"*. You don't have to run to another land for blessings. *"And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee"*.

    *d. Protection Blessings*

Prosperity and blessings do attract enmity, envy, and hatred of the wicked. There is divine complete comprehensive insurance in the Covenant. *"The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways"*. The divine response to any attack of the wicked will not be commensurate with the attack, but will be seven times the attack showing that total, not partial, victory is guaranteed.

    *e. Purity Blessings*

This is the only one of the blessings that is spiritual. *"The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee"*. You can only be established in what you possess. So it shows that God would first make them holy and they shall remain in holy living by the power of God. The implication is that your lifestyle will be unarguably godly. This is also fulfilled for the Church when the believers in Christ are called Christians. While the idol worshippers and sinners resemble Satan, the God of this world, believers in Christ are to avail themselves of the grace of God and be Christlike and gracious.
*"And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee"*.

    *f. Partaking Blessings*

The blessings of God are not only to be enjoyed, but to be shared with people to partake. God will give abundance that is enough to give others partake from. *"The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure...and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow"*. Your impact is known by what you share and not according to what you possess. *"God is able to make all grace abound towards you so that you have all sufficiency in all things"*
    How about that?

    *g. Preferential Blessings*

The last but not the least of the blessings God has for you is to excel in every good thing above the godless. *"And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail"*. It is God that will do it for you, but beyond that. It is not just excellence in some areas of life, but excellent in every area. *"And thou shalt be above only"*. What is the significance of the word *"only"* in the promise?

    *Question*

Which of the blessings is not yet manifesting in your life? Why Not?

    *2. The Manifestations of Believing*

Do you believe that these blessings are yours? The only way one can demonstrate faith in God's blessings is through obedience of faith. Abraham himself manifested faith in what God said. *"Abraham believed God and it was counted for righteousness"*. Faith in God is active. It produces obedience. Obedience to all that God commanded starting from repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, followed by consistent holy walk with God like Abraham that God commanded, *"walk before me and be thou perfect"*. This condition of obedience is repeated over and over. *"And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth"*. A lift above equals and all above sinners is a function of diligent obedience to the Word of God. This also applies to the Church as a whole. *"And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God"*. This is emphasised again and again. *"If thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways"*. They are conditional blessings. *If that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them"*. In this age of hypergrace, this emphasis cannot be overemphasised. Since enjoying the blessings of Abraham is conditioned on obedience of faith, the same blessings will require the same conditions in the New Covenant. Grace does not cancel obedience, but makes obedience very easy. *"And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them"*.

    *Question*

Do you take obedience to the Word of God very seriously?

    *Prayer Points*

1.Give praises to God that qualifies you to be a partaker of Abraham's blessings .
2.Ask for faith and grace to take obedience very seriously .
3.Ask for any of the blessings not yet visible in your life .
4.Just as the blessedness of the New Testament prioritize the spiritual blessings, pray that pastors and people will put more emphasis on spiritual blessings

    2. Evening Prayer for today:

    EP.i. Evening Prayer

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if [there be any] wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. ⏤ Psalm 139:23-24

Prayer is the soul's sincere desire, uttered or unexpressed. ⏤ George Whitefield

As evening comes, we turn to You, God, to end the day as we began it—with You. We asked You to help us keep the promises we made on Sunday and to live out the spiritual insights we gained.

We’re thankful for the help You’ve given us today. You’ve watched over us, guided us, and blessed us. We’re grateful for everything You’ve done for us today.

But we also admit our shortcomings. We didn’t do everything we promised to do. We found ourselves too weak for some of today’s challenges, temptations, and burdens.

We ask You to forgive us. We always need Your forgiveness because we always fall short. But tonight, we pray that You’ll help us grow stronger so that tomorrow we’ll do better and live closer to You. We want to grow in grace, overcome our faults, develop good habits, and become stronger against temptation.

So our prayer is that You’ll cleanse us, make us more like You, and fill our hearts with more of Your Spirit so we can live better lives.

If we’ve hurt anyone today with a careless word or action, please forgive us and help us make it right. If we failed to show kindness or didn’t help when we should have, please forgive us and teach us to be more caring in the future. We ask all of this in Jesus' name. Amen.

*d. Protection Blessings* Prosperity and blessings do attract enmity, envy, and hatred of the wicked. *e. Purity Blessings* This is the only one of the blessings that is spiritual. *f. Partaking Blessings* The blessings of God are not only to be enjoyed, but to be shared with people to partake. God will give abundance that is enough to give others partake from. *"The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure...and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow"*. Your impact is known by what you share and not according to what you possess. *"God is able to make all grace abound towards you so that you have all sufficiency in all things"* How about that? *g. Preferential Blessings* The last but not the least of the blessings God has for you is to excel in every good thing above the godless. *"And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail"*. It is God that will do it for you, but beyond that. It is not just excellence in some areas of life, but excellent in every area. *"And thou shalt be above only"*. What is the significance of the word *"only"* in the promise? *Question* Which of the blessings is not yet manifesting in your life? Why Not? *2. The Manifestations of Believing* Do you believe that these blessings are yours? *Question* Do you take obedience to the Word of God very seriously? *Prayer Points* 1.Give praises to God that qualifies you to be a partaker of Abraham's blessings 🙏. 2.Ask for faith and grace to take obedience very seriously 🙏. 3.Ask for any of the blessings not yet visible in your life 🙏. 4.Just as the blessedness of the New Testament prioritize the spiritual blessings, pray that pastors and people will put more emphasis on spiritual blessings🙏 *HYMN:* Showers of Blessings *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* GENESIS 17-20. 2. Evening Prayer for today: EP.i. Evening Prayer Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if [there be any] wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. ⏤ Psalm 139:23-24 Prayer is the soul's sincere desire, uttered or unexpressed. ⏤ George Whitefield As evening comes, we turn to You, God, to end the day as we began it—with You. Amen. https://www.youdevotion.com/daily-prayer/miller/01/evening #taptapstudio #youdevotion.

  • TODAY'S MESSAGE

    SERMON TITLE:

THE ENEMY ATTACKS WHAT HE FEARS MOST

    Main Texts:

    Job 1:8–12; Exodus 1:8–12; Matthew 2:13–16; Luke 22:31–32; 1 Peter 5:8–10

One of the greatest mistakes believers make is assuming that every intense battle means God has abandoned them. The truth is often the opposite. The fiercest attacks frequently come because heaven has invested something valuable in your life.
A thief does not break into an empty house. A hunter does not pursue an animal that has no value. Likewise, Satan does not waste his greatest weapons on lives that pose no threat to his kingdom.
If the enemy is fighting your faith, your family, your ministry, your calling, your purity, or your purpose, it may be because he sees what God intends to accomplish through you.
Your attack is not always a sign of weakness; it can be evidence of significance.

    KEY BIBLE VERSES

    1. Job 1:8–12
God declared that Job was blameless and upright. Satan immediately sought permission to attack him.

Lesson: Satan attacked Job because of his integrity and influence. The enemy feared the testimony of a righteous man whose faith could not be bought or broken.
    2. Exodus 1:8–12
Pharaoh ordered the oppression and killing of Hebrew male children because he feared Israel's growth.

Lesson: The greater God's blessing became, the greater Pharaoh's opposition. Yet the Bible says, "The more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied."
    3. Matthew 2:13–16
King Herod attempted to kill the infant Jesus.

Lesson: Before Jesus preached a sermon or performed a miracle, hell recognized His destiny. The attack revealed the greatness of His assignment.
    4. Luke 22:31–32
    Jesus told Peter:
«"Simon, Simon, Satan has desired to have you... but I have prayed for you."»
Peter was attacked because he would become one of the pillars of the early Church.

POINT 1: THE ENEMY RECOGNIZES DESTINY BEFORE MANY PEOPLE DO
Often, people may overlook your potential, but the kingdom of darkness recognizes it.
Joseph was hated because of his dreams.
David was pursued because of his anointing.
Moses was targeted because he would become a deliverer.
Whenever God places greatness inside someone, opposition often follows.
Spiritual Insight: Your warfare may be connected to your calling rather than your mistakes.
POINT 2: THE GREATEST ATTACKS OFTEN PRECEDE THE GREATEST BREAKTHROUGHS

Jesus was tempted before beginning His public ministry.
Joseph was imprisoned before entering the palace.
David fought Goliath before wearing the crown.
The enemy wants you to quit just before God opens the next door.
Do not interpret delay as denial. God is preparing you while the enemy is trying to discourage you.
POINT 3: SATAN ATTACKS TO STOP MULTIPLICATION
The devil understands that one obedient believer can transform a family, a community, or even a nation.
    He attacks:
    - Marriages because of godly generations.
    - Prayer lives because of spiritual authority.
    - Ministries because of eternal impact.
    - Young people because of future leadership.
The enemy is not merely after your present; he is attempting to destroy your future.
POINT 4: GOD ALWAYS PROVIDES GRACE GREATER THAN THE ATTACK
The attack never comes without God's sustaining grace.
Paul experienced a thorn, but God's answer was:
"My grace is sufficient for you."
Every battle comes with divine strength.
God never abandons those He calls.
What Satan intends for destruction, God transforms into testimony.

    BIBLICAL CASE STUDY.

    Joseph

Joseph experienced betrayal, slavery, false accusation, and imprisonment.

Each attack appeared to move him farther from God's promise.
Yet every painful season became a stepping stone toward the palace.
    The brothers intended evil.
    Potiphar's wife intended destruction.
    The prison intended confinement.
But God used every attack to position Joseph as a savior during famine.

Your greatest attack may become the pathway to your greatest assignment.

    PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS

    1. Refuse to panic when opposition increases.
    2. Stay rooted in prayer and God's Word.
    3. Guard your heart against bitterness.
    4. Remain faithful in every season.
    5. Remember that God's purpose is stronger than Satan's plans.

    DEEP SPIRITUAL INSIGHTS

    - Every genuine calling attracts spiritual resistance.
    - Satan attacks potential before manifestation.
    - God often allows testing to produce maturity.
    - Spiritual battles reveal the value of what God has placed within you.
    - No attack can cancel God's purpose when you remain faithful.

    QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION

    - What area of my life is facing the greatest opposition?
    - Could this battle be connected to God's purpose for my life?
    - Am I responding with fear or with faith?
    - How can I remain steadfast until God's promise is fulfilled?
    - What lessons is God teaching me through this season?

    POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS

    1. Father, strengthen me to stand firm in every battle in the name of Jesus.
    2. Every attack against my destiny shall be turned into a testimony in Jesus' name.
    3. Every plan of the enemy against my family and calling is destroyed by the power of God.
    4. Lord, preserve the purpose You have placed within me.
    5. I receive wisdom, courage, and endurance to finish my divine assignment.
    6. Every weapon formed against me shall not prosper.
    7. I declare that what God has ordained for my life shall surely come to pass.

    CONCLUSION

Do not measure your future by your present battle.

The enemy attacks what he fears most because he recognizes the potential God has placed within you. Yet Satan has never won a battle against God's ultimate purpose.
    Stand firm.
    Keep praying.
    Keep believing.
    Keep obeying.
The same God who preserved Moses from Pharaoh, protected Joseph in prison, sustained Job in suffering, strengthened Peter after failure, and raised Jesus from the grave will also preserve you.
Your attack is temporary, but God's purpose is eternal.

    CALL TO ACTION

Do not surrender to fear or discouragement. Rise in faith, deepen your walk with God, and continue pursuing the assignment He has entrusted to you. The battle may be intense, but the victory belongs to the Lord. The very area the enemy has attacked may become the greatest testimony of God's power in your life.May the Lord use this message to strengthen His people and inspire steadfast faith in every season.
