PRAY WITH FAITH Don't just pray with your lips—believe in your heart. Faith gives confidence before the answer appears. 2. *TODAY'S PROPHETIC DECLARATION - WEDNESDAY, 26TH AUGUST, 2026.* 🌟*HOPE IN THE LORD*🌟 📖 Scripture: “Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.” — Psalm 130:7 (KJV). 🔥*Reflection – Our Hope Is in the Lord* Psalm 130 is a cry from the depths, yet it moves from distress to confident hope. The Psalmist reminds God's people that their hope should not be placed in circumstances, people, possessions, or human strength, but in the Lord. Why can we hope in God? Because mercy belongs to Him, and with Him there is plenteous redemption. God does not merely have enough mercy for a few situations. His mercy is abundant. He is able to redeem what appears lost, restore what has been broken, and bring hope into situations that seem beyond recovery. Today, whatever you are facing, don't allow your circumstances to determine the level of your hope. Put your hope in the Lord. Your situation may change. People may disappoint you. Plans may fail. But God's mercy remains, and His power to redeem is unlimited. 🔊*Prophetic Declaration:* Today, I declare that my hope is in the Lord. I will not put my ultimate confidence in circumstances, human beings, possessions, or my own strength. My trust is in the Almighty God. I declare that the abundant mercy of God speaks over my life today. Where I have fallen short, may His mercy restore me. Where I have made mistakes, may His grace teach and redirect me. Where I have experienced disappointment, may His mercy renew my hope. I proclaim plenteous redemption over every area of my life. Wednesday, 26th August, 2026 TITLE: "ABIDE IN GOD: DWELL IN HIS PRESENCE, REMAIN IN HIS STRENGTH" ANCHOR SCRIPTURE(S) Psalm 91:1–2 (KJV) "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust." John 15:4 (KJV) "Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me." QUOTE TO REFLECT ON "Your strength, safety, and fruitfulness begin with remaining close to God." DAY'S REFLECTION The Christian life is not designed to be lived independently of God. We need His presence, strength, guidance, and grace every day. Psalm 91:1 gives us a beautiful picture of this relationship: "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty." The word "dwelleth" means to live, remain, or make one's home in a place. It is more than visiting occasionally. God desires us to develop a consistent relationship with Him rather than seeking Him only when trouble comes. The "secret place" speaks of intimate fellowship with God—a place of prayer, worship, meditation on His Word, and communion with Him. To "abide under the shadow of the Almighty" speaks of resting in His presence and depending on His power and protection. The psalmist therefore confidently declares, "He is my refuge and my fortress." A refuge is a place of safety, while a fortress provides protection against attack. The writer's confidence was not in his circumstances but in his relationship with God: "my God; in him will I trust." Jesus gives us the same principle in John 15:4: "Abide in me, and I in you." He uses the relationship between a branch and a vine to explain spiritual dependence. A branch cannot produce fruit by itself. It must remain connected to the vine. Likewise, we cannot produce lasting spiritual fruit through human effort alone. We need continuous connection with Christ. To abide means to remain, continue, dwell, and stay connected. Life experience teaches us that disconnection brings weakness. A phone may be fully functional, but without connection to its power source, its battery eventually runs down. Similarly, believers who neglect prayer, God's Word, worship, and fellowship with Christ can become spiritually weak and vulnerable. Abiding in Christ does not mean that problems will never come. It means that when problems come, we do not face them alone. We have a refuge. We have a fortress. We have the presence of the Almighty. Today, do not merely visit God's presence—dwell there. Do not only seek Christ when you need something—abide in Him daily. Stay connected to Christ, and let His presence become your place of strength, peace, protection, and fruitfulness. MEDITATION SCRIPTURE(S) Psalm 16:8 (KJV) "I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved." Philippians 4:13 (KJV) "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." LIFE LESSONS (IMPLICATIONS) 1. God's presence should be our permanent dwelling place, not an occasional refuge. 2. Trusting God brings confidence in the midst of uncertainty. 3. Spiritual strength comes from remaining connected to Christ. 4. Like a branch depends on the vine, we depend on Jesus for spiritual fruitfulness. 5. Prayer and God's Word help us maintain intimate fellowship with Christ. 6. Abiding in Christ produces stability, peace, strength, and lasting fruit. EVERYDAY ACTION Spend intentional time with God today through prayer and His Word, and consciously depend on Christ in every decision. OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL DATE: WEDNESDAY 26TH AUGUST 2026 TOPIC: FEAR GOD, PART 2 MEMORIZE: "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction." Proverbs 1:7 (KJV) BIBLE READING: DANIEL 1:8-20 8 But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. 9 Now God had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs. 10 And the prince of the eunuchs said unto Daniel, I fear my lord the king, who hath appointed your meat and your drink: for why should he see your faces worse liking than the children which are of your sort? then shall ye make me endanger my head to the king. 11 Then said Daniel to Melzar, whom the prince of the eunuchs had set over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, 12 Prove thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days; and let them give us pulse to eat, and water to drink. 13 Then let our countenances be looked upon before thee, and the countenance of the children that eat of the portion of the king's meat: and as thou seest, deal with thy servants. 14 So he consented to them in this matter, and proved them ten days. 15 And at the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the children which did eat the portion of the king's meat. 16 Thus Melzar took away the portion of their meat, and the wine that they should drink; and gave them pulse. 17 As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams. 18 Now at the end of the days that the king had said he should bring them in, then the prince of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar. 19 And the king communed with them; and among them all was found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: therefore stood they before the king. 20 And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm. MESSAGE: Yesterday, I discussed some benefits of having the fear of God, and today I will discuss how having the fear of God can give you access to the secrets of His heart. The Bible says in Psalm 25:14 that the secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, and He will reveal His covenant to them. God shares His secrets with those who fear Him, just like we humans tend to confide in those who believe in us and hold us in high regard. Abraham was someone who feared the Lord, and in turn, he was given access to the secrets of God's heart. When God wanted to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, He said, "...Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do," (Genesis 18:17). God can only say such about the people who fear Him because He knows that they will cherish His secrets. Daniel was another person who gained tremendous insights because of how he feared and honoured God. He was taken into captivity at a young age, but his fear of the Lord led him to remain faithful to Him. The Bible says in Daniel 1:8 that he purposed in his heart not to defile himself with the portion of the king's meat. He honoured God by being faithful to Him even in a foreign land and also led his companions to do the same. God, in turn, honoured his decision by making him and his companions ten times better than their peers (Daniel 1:20). When the king had a dream that none of the magicians in the land could tell or interpret, God revealed it to Daniel (Daniel 2:19). Beloved, when you fear God, you will never lack spiritual knowledge and insight because God will always make sure that you have access to it. Today's memory verse says that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, and Psalm 111:10 also says that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Everyone who feared the Lord in the Bible had access to uncommon knowledge. If you want to access that kind of knowledge, you have to fear God. If you want God to give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches in secret places, just as He promised in Isaiah 45:3, you must honour Him with your thoughts, decisions, and actions. I pray that the Almighty God will give you access to the secrets of His heart as you honour Him with your life, in Jesus' name. Yet the greatest legacy is not what bears our name, but truth faithfully passed to another generation. The question is not whether we know the truth—but whether we are entrusting it to others who will carry it forward. True legacy is investing in others’ faith, not just our own accomplishments. Paul writes in 🕮 𝟐 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝟐:𝟐: “𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘴, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘰 𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘮𝘦𝘯, 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘭𝘴𝘰.” Paul is giving a charge to Timothy to entrust the truth to faithful men, and they would teach others. Biblical ministry is not a dead end—it is a chain of faithful hands passing the truth onward, multiplying the Gospel through generations. A torch is not lit to be hidden in a drawer. Its purpose is to be carried forward, lighting the way for others. So it is with the truth of God's Word. We are not spiritual warehouses, storing truth on our shelves while others remain in darkness. What God has entrusted to us was never meant to stop with us. Scripture teaches discipleship through multiplication: “𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘰 𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘮𝘦𝘯, 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘭𝘴𝘰” (𝟐 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝟐:𝟐). “𝘎𝘰 𝘺𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴” (𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐰 𝟐𝟖:𝟏𝟗). “𝘏𝘦 𝘨𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘭𝘦𝘴… 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘴” (𝐄𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟒:𝟏𝟏–𝟏𝟐). Disciples are not made by addition alone, but by multiplication—passing the Word through faithful hands to reach the ends of the world. But investing in others requires patience. People do not mature overnight. A gardener does not plant a seed and expect fruit by sunset. Do not abandon the seed because the harvest is not visible yet. Teaching, correcting, encouraging, praying, and walking alongside believers may seem slow, but faithful investment shapes lives for eternity. We are called not just to gather listeners but to develop faithful followers of Christ. Before calling us to entrust truth, Christ entrusted it to us. He “𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘰, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳” (𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝟏𝟎:𝟒𝟓). Now, as stewards, we do not keep truth to ourselves but pass it on. This truth is the Gospel of Jesus Christ (𝟏 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟏𝟓:𝟑–𝟒). Paul entrusted it to Timothy, and Timothy to others—the Gospel came to us through faithful witnesses, and it must not stop with us. The call to invest in others is a divine mission impacting generations. Are you ready to pass on faith’s legacy? Do not be a spiritual warehouse storing truth that never leaves your shelves. You need Christ not just for knowledge, but to acknowledge that you are called to be a faithful steward of what He entrusts. Receive the truth. Live it. Entrust it. Multiply the faith. One faithful life can influence many more. 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫: Heavenly Father, thank You for entrusting us with the truth of Your Word. Forgive us for hoarding what You have called us to share. Teach us to invest faithfully in others, to multiply faithful believers, and to carry the Gospel forward until Christ returns. In Jesus’ Name. Amen. A WARNING TO REPENT BEFORE JUDGEMENT   Revelation 2 [KJV] [vs: 16] Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. This verse is a solemn warning to the church that have allowed false teachers and doctrines among them , Christ therefore calls them to repentance before judgement comes. *Repent: Christ is not merely asking them to feel sorry for what they have done but to turn away from their sins and return in obedience to God  2*or else I will come unto thee quickly. God patience with the sinner should not be mistaken for approval of their evil, if his call to repentance is persistently refused  his judgement will certainly fall on the unrepentant. 3"1 will fight against them : when any church or a so called Christian persist in falsehood , compromise and sin they place themselves in opposition to Christ and risk his wrath . 4*with the sword of my mouth: Christ judges with his word just as he saves us  by faith in his word, those who refuse to obey his loving plea to repent will be judged and condemned by his word  at last. *Key truths: 1*False  doctrines  leads to sin and compromise and attracts divine judgement . 2, The only escape from God's judgement is repentance from all known sin. 3*There is mercy and forgiveness from God for every one who repents 25 August 2026

KEEP THY HEAR A Tender Heart Is a Wise Heart ANCHOR SCRIPTURE Proverbs 28:14 (KJV) “Happy is the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief.” 1. FEAR GOD Honour God, respect His Word and follow His instructions. A heart that respects God is guided by wisdom. 2. DON'T HARDEN YOUR HEART A hardened heart rejects correction and refuses to learn. Stubbornness can take you where wisdom would have protected you. 3. STAY TEACHABLE Be willing to listen, accept correction and change when you are wrong. Proverbs 12:1 (KJV) “Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge...” 4. GUARD YOUR HEART Forgive. Repent. Listen. Learn. Accept good counsel. Don't allow pride, pain or offence to harden your heart. DAILY YOUTH CHARGE Topic: GOD'S GOODNESS NEVER CHANGES Anchor Scripture Psalm 100:5 (KJV) "For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; And his truth endureth to all generations." One of the most important truths you can learn as a young person is this: God is good—not only when life is good, but at all times. There will be seasons when your prayers are answered quickly and seasons when you have to wait. There will be moments of celebration and moments of disappointment. But God's character does not change with your circumstances. Today's scripture gives us three reasons to trust Him: the Lord is good, His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to every generation. GOD IS GOOD God's goodness is not dependent on what He gives us. He is good because goodness is part of who He is. Nahum 1:7 (KJV) "The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him." When you face difficult moments, don't allow your circumstances to convince you that God has abandoned you. He remains your refuge and strength. Romans 8:28 (KJV) "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." HIS MERCY IS EVERLASTING Every day we experience God's mercy. We don't receive everything we deserve; instead, God continually extends His compassion and forgiveness toward us. Lamentations 3:22-23 (KJV) "It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness." That means yesterday's failure does not have to become today's identity. When you sincerely turn back to God, His mercy is available. Psalm 103:8 (KJV) "The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy." HIS TRUTH ENDURES TO ALL GENERATIONS Everything around us changes. Trends change. Technology changes. Opinions change. Society changes. But God's Word remains true. Isaiah 40:8 (KJV) "The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever." As a young person, don't build your identity and values entirely on what is popular today. Build your life on God's eternal truth. Matthew 24:35 (KJV) "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away." God's goodness was not limited to the generation before you, and it will not end with your generation. His mercy and truth remain available to every generation that seeks Him. Takeaway When life changes, remember that God doesn't. When circumstances are uncertain, His goodness remains certain. When people fail, His mercy remains everlasting. When opinions change, His truth remains forever. Trust Him. Praise Him. Build your life on His Word. Prayer Heavenly Father, thank You because You are always good. Thank You for Your everlasting mercy and unfailing truth. When circumstances change, help me to remember that Your character never changes. Teach me to trust Your Word, depend on Your mercy, and live every day with gratitude for Your goodness.
