  • God’s Amazing Provision

We said yes to God’s call, and the blessings started to flow immediately. The church members were so kind and eager to help—they personally assisted us in moving our belongings from our current city to the new place. Their hands worked together, carrying our loads, making the journey light and full of love.

When we finally arrived and stepped inside the pastoral house, my breath was taken away. I stood there in awe, tears filling my eyes. It was so spacious, so beautiful, and far bigger than the house we used to own.

In that moment, my heart whispered the truth: If God works, He truly moves mountains.

He didn't just give us a shelter; He showed us His faithfulness. In what felt like just a blink of an eye, He began replacing everything we had lost. The house, the security, the comfort—He restored them all, and even more abundantly than before. I realized that when we obey Him, He is more than able to make all things new.

  • The Gentle Pull of His Hand

That Sunday morning, as we walked into the church, warmth embraced us immediately. The brethren greeted us with such joy and love, as if we had been family to them for a lifetime.

After the service, an elder came to us with eyes full of hope. "We have been searching for a shepherd for so long," he said gently. "Would you consider staying here to serve us?"

My heart trembled. I simply answered, "If this is truly the will of God, then why not?"

They offered us a home to live in, with all utilities provided, and the support of the church. We told them we needed time to pray and think.

When we arrived home and sat together, memories flooded my mind like a heavy rain. I remembered clearly, two years ago, they had invited us to serve in that very same place. Back then, proud and comfortable, I told them, "I can serve God right here where I am."

In that quiet moment, the truth broke my heart. God was calling us even then, but we refused. We loved our comfort zone too much to leave it. And so, God had to gently take away everything—the businesses, the career, the properties—not to destroy us, but to loosen our hands so we could finally follow Him.

I looked at my husband, tears in my eyes, and said, "Let us accept this. This time, I will obey. I have learned the hard way what happens when we say no to God. I do not want to resist His will anymore. If this is where He wants us, then here we will stay."

  • The Open Door

Days turned into weeks, and God continued to bless our way. My husband found employment at a Christian college in the city. It was a blessing, yet new worries began to whisper in our ears. His salary was barely enough to cover the house rent, water, electricity, and daily needs. And soon, our three children would need to go back to school—they had stopped for a whole year because of our trials, and we longed to see them learn again.

But instead of letting anxiety take over, we chose to kneel and surrender those fears to God once more. We trusted that He who fed the birds would also take care of us.

Then, one day, the phone rang. An invitation came: they wanted my husband to be a guest preacher in one of the Churches of Christ in another city.

Our hearts paused. We looked at each other and hesitated. Are we really ready? we thought. Is it time to step back into ministry after everything we’ve been through?

After days of praying and thinking, I held my husband’s hand and said, "Let us accept this. Maybe this is the time God is opening the door for us. If this is His will, then let it be done. Do not refuse what the Lord is offering."

We took a step of faith, ready to serve again, believing that God knows exactly what we need.

  • Walking in the Light

The first month in our new home was a time of rebuilding. I took on work as a freelancer, offering my skills as an editor and statistician. It was not easy, but every task I finished felt like a small victory.

Slowly but surely, the heavy clouds began to lift. Our life started to change. We could finally breathe again. After walking through such deep darkness, we could clearly see the light shining ahead. We realized that having less material things did not mean we had less life—in fact, we felt richer in peace and hope than ever before.

We continue to kneel and pray every day, asking God to reveal His perfect plan for us. We know deep in our hearts that we have a mission to fulfill. We may not yet know exactly where it will lead us or how it will happen, but we are ready. We trust that the One who brought us through the storm will guide our steps towards our purpose.

  • A New Beginning

When I arrived home, I fell on my knees and prayed. With a heart full of trust, I surrendered every worry, every fear, and every plan into God’s hands. I decided to follow the wise advice given to me.

We packed our lives and moved to a new province, far away from the pain of the past. We traveled with very little in our pockets—just enough money to survive for a month or two. It was frightening to step into the unknown with so little, but we held onto the promise that God would provide.

And He did not fail us. As we searched for a place to stay, He led us to a peaceful home, a sanctuary where we could rest our weary hearts and feel safe again.

We may have lost our wealth, our old business, and our status, but we gained something far greater. We realized we are not starting from zero. We are starting from experience. We carry the lessons learned, the strength forged in fire, and most importantly, we have God walking right beside us as our guide.

This is not an end, but a beautiful new beginning.

  • God’s Hand in the Storm

Just when I thought the pain couldn’t get any deeper, a new storm arrived. One day, visitors came to my house—officials from the Bureau of Internal Revenue, accompanied by a lawyer and staff. They told me someone had filed a criminal complaint against me for issuing temporary receipts in our business.

My heart sank as I looked at the documents. I realized the receipts had been signed by my secretary, a move that violated the law here in the Philippines. If this wasn't resolved, I could face imprisonment. I listened to them, my mind racing with fear, but somehow, I managed to stay calm and composed while they were there.

The moment the door closed behind them, I broke down. Tears flowed freely as I looked up to heaven and cried out, "Lord, when will these trials end? How much more do I have to bear?"

The next day, I gathered what little strength I had and went to the Regional Director’s office. I had no money to pay for penalties or bribes. All I carried in my hands and heart was prayer and my faith in Jesus.

As I entered the room, a kind person approached me. With a trembling voice, I told her the whole truth—how I had lost everything, how I was being targeted, and how I had no means to pay. She listened with compassion and went to speak to the Director on my behalf.

When the Director called me in, I poured out my story honestly before her. Suddenly, the phone rang. The Director answered it right in front of me. To my shock, I realized the person on the line was the very one who filed the case against me!

I listened as the Director spoke firmly, "Stop bullying her. She has already paid her dues, so stop pestering her." Then she ended the call.

I recognized that voice instantly. It was my business rival. Anger rose inside me, and I wanted to fight back, to make her pay. But the Director looked at me and said words that touched my soul:

"Promise me you will not take revenge. Just move outside the province, start a new life, and let God be the one to repay what is due. As long as I am here, I promise you, no one can touch you again."

I left the office with a lightness in my chest I hadn't felt in years. I went there with nothing but prayers and faith, and God did the impossible. He sent His angels in uniform to fight my battles. Truly, when I am weak, He is strong.

  • Whispers in the Silence

In the depth of my pain, with tears blurring my vision and my heart heavy with sorrow, I looked up and dared to ask the Lord.

"Why, God?" I whispered, my voice trembling. "What did I do to deserve this punishment? Did I offend You? Did I stray from Your path? If I have sinned, please tell me, so I can make it right."

My soul was aching, desperate to understand why I had to lose everything, why I had to be broken this way. I begged Him to show me the way.

"Lord, if this is a lesson, teach me. If this is a test, give me strength. Just tell me what I must do to overcome this mountain. Show me the steps I need to take, so I can finally rise above all this suffering and find peace again."

I waited in the silence, holding onto my faith, trusting that even if I couldn't see the answer yet, He was listening, and He would lead me through.

  • True Lights in the Dark

In the midst of my storm, I realized the greatest blessing that came from my suffering: the truth. Through God’s grace, I finally saw the real colors of everyone around me.

Those who once called themselves friends, and even some I thought were family, vanished like smoke when the darkness grew deepest. They were there only for the sunshine, but gone the moment the rain came pouring down. They left when my name was tarnished and my hands were empty.

But in their absence, I found something far more precious. With Jesus holding my heart, I was able to recognize the few who truly stayed.

They did not leave. They did not judge. Instead, they became the light I desperately needed. While the world turned away, they held up a lamp, guiding my steps so I would not stumble in the shadows. Their presence was warm, their support firm and solid, never breaking even when things were hardest.

I may have lost many, but with my faith in Jesus and these few genuine hearts walking beside me, I know I have everything I need to keep going.

  • Life Must Go On

They say the hardest part isn't hitting the bottom, but finding the strength to climb back up. Rising from the ashes was not easy; every step felt heavy, and every attempt to stand felt like I was being pulled back down. The scars of what happened were still fresh, and the memory of losing everything haunted me.

But I was no longer walking alone. In my darkest hours, my family became my light and my strength. Their love was the ground beneath my feet. I didn't rush. I started slowly, taking just one small step at a time. There were days I could only crawl, but eventually, I learned to walk again. And one day, I knew I would run—stronger and faster than before.

It is difficult to forget the pain and the betrayal. It is not something that simply fades away. But I realized that holding onto the hurt only keeps me in the past. So, I made a choice: I must let go. I must move forward.

Forgiving those who hurt me and destroyed what I had was the hardest battle of all. My heart wanted justice, my mind wanted revenge. But then I remembered my faith. I surrendered it all to God. I realized I don't need to fight for what is right anymore, because He is the ultimate judge. I leave the justice to Him, so that my own heart can finally be free.

Life must go on, and so will I.

  • The Whisper in the Dark

The world I knew crumbled faster than I could blink. Lies were spread like wildfire, painting my character in colors that were never mine. In an instant, the career I built with sweat and years was gone. The reputation I guarded like a precious jewel was shattered. Even my savings, the fruit of my labor, vanished into thin air.

I was left with nothing but an empty house and a heavy heart. I looked at the mirror and saw not a person, but a ruin. "How can I go on?" I whispered to the silence. "I have nothing left to fight with."

Despair tried to swallow me whole. Every step felt like walking through mud, every breath a struggle. I had lost everything the world values, but in that darkness, I found the one thing no one could take away from me: my faith.

I realized I had no weapons left, no money to bribe, no influence to use, no words to defend. All I had was my voice lifted to the heavens. So I knelt down, and I prayed.

Prayer became my shield against the judgment of others. Prayer became my strength when my legs felt weak. It was my comfort when I was alone, and my hope when the future looked bleak.

I may have lost everything, but I did not lose my soul. And as long as I can pray, I know I am not truly lost. I may be at the bottom now, but with God by my side, this is not the end—it is only the beginning of my rise.
