    Nothing Is Impossible With God

    Mark 10:27 (AMP):
“With people [as far as it depends on them] it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.”

Mark 10:27 reminds us that our limitations are not God’s limitations.
There will be moments when you look at a situation and think, “There is absolutely no way this can happen.” Maybe the door seems completely closed, the circumstances seem too complicated, or something you have been praying for feels impossible.

But Jesus tells us something powerful: what is impossible with people is possible with God.
Sometimes we measure God’s ability by our own ability. We think, “I can't fix this, I don't have enough, I don't know how this will work out.” And perhaps you don't know how—and that's okay. God doesn't need you to know how. He simply asks you to trust Him.

Your responsibility is not to figure out every detail. Your responsibility is to keep believing, keep praying, keep walking in obedience, and keep your eyes on the One who can do what you cannot.

God can make a way where there appears to be no way. He can restore what seems broken beyond repair. He can provide when the resources seem insufficient. He can open doors you could never open yourself.

Your impossible situation is not an impossible situation for God.
Today, surrender the things you cannot control. Stop carrying the pressure of having to figure everything out. Give God room to work in His way and in His timing.

    Prayer
    Father,
Thank You that nothing is impossible for You. When I look at my circumstances and see limitations, help me to look at You and see possibility.
Forgive me for the times I've allowed fear, doubt, or my own understanding to become bigger than my faith. Teach me to trust You even when I cannot see the way forward.

I surrender my impossible situations to You. Where I see no way, make a way. Where I feel weak, give me strength. Where I feel uncertain, give me peace.
Help me remember that I don't have to understand everything to trust You.

I believe that You are able to do what I cannot do. I believe that You are working even when I cannot see it. And I choose to trust You.
    In Jesus' name,
    Amen.

    Today’s Reminder
“What is impossible for me is not impossible for God.”
Don't let the size of your problem determine the size of your faith. Look at the greatness of your God.

    THE CROSS OF CALVARY 🏽

    TUESDAY, 18TH AUGUST, 2026

    TEXT: JOHN 8:1–12

    KEY VERSE:

«“Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” — John 8:12 (KJV)»

JESUS — THE LIGHT THAT BREAKS THE DARKNESS

The world is filled with darkness—sin, deception, fear, hatred, confusion and hopelessness. But into that darkness, Jesus declares:

“I am the light of the world.”

Light does not negotiate with darkness. When light appears, darkness disappears.

Jesus came to reveal the truth, expose sin, offer forgiveness and lead humanity back to God.

In John 8, Jesus encountered a woman whose life had been marked by sin and shame. The religious leaders wanted condemnation, but Jesus demonstrated both mercy and truth.

He did not approve of her sin, but neither did He allow her past to become the end of her story.

    THREE TRUTHS FROM JOHN 8

JESUS DOES NOT CONDEMN THE REPENTANT HEART.

The woman was brought before Jesus publicly and accused of her sin.

Yet Jesus responded with wisdom and mercy.

«“He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.” — John 8:7»

Jesus exposed the hypocrisy of those who were ready to condemn someone else while ignoring their own need for mercy.

The Cross reminds us that we are all dependent upon God's grace.

Therefore, never allow your past to convince you that you are beyond God's mercy.

There is forgiveness in Christ. 🏽

JESUS FORGIVES, BUT HE ALSO CALLS US TO CHANGE.

    Jesus told the woman:

«“Go, and sin no more.” — John 8:11»

This is the balance of the Gospel.

Jesus does not say, “Your sin does not matter.”

Neither does He say, “You are beyond redemption.”

    He says, in effect:

“I forgive you—now walk in a new direction.”

Grace is not permission to continue in sin.

Grace gives us the power to leave the old life behind and follow Christ.

THOSE WHO FOLLOW JESUS WALK IN HIS LIGHT.

«“He that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” — John 8:12»

Following Jesus means allowing His light to guide our decisions, relationships, words, attitudes and character.

When His light enters your life, you cannot remain comfortable in darkness.

His light reveals what needs to change.

His light gives direction when you are confused.

His light gives hope when you are discouraged.

His light gives courage when you are afraid.

His light gives life when you feel spiritually dead.

    TODAY'S REFLECTION

Perhaps there are areas of your life that you have kept hidden in darkness.

    Bring them to Jesus.

Do not run from the light.

    Run toward the Light.

When Jesus exposes something in your heart, it is not always to destroy you—it is often to restore you.

Your past may have been dark, but your future can be illuminated by Christ.

You may have fallen, but you can rise again.

You may have failed, but God's grace can restore you.

You may have wandered, but you can return to the Father.

Never allow condemnation to keep you away from the One who came to save you.

Jesus is the Light of the world.

    Walk in His light.
    Live by His truth.
    Reject the darkness.
    Follow Him daily.

    🏽 PRAYER

    Heavenly Father,

Thank You for sending Jesus Christ, the Light of the world.

Thank You for Your mercy and forgiveness. Search my heart and expose every area of darkness that does not please You.

Give me the courage to repent sincerely and turn away from every sinful way.

Lord Jesus, shine Your light upon my heart, my thoughts, my words, my relationships and my decisions.

Help me not to live according to the patterns of this world, but to follow You faithfully.

When I fall, give me grace to rise. When I am tempted, give me strength to overcome. When I am confused, let Your Word guide me.

May my life reflect the light of Christ so that others may see You through me.

In Jesus' mighty name, Amen. 🏽

    CALVARY BLESSING

May the Light of Christ shine brightly upon your life.

May every darkness be overcome by His presence.

    May His mercy restore you.

    May His grace strengthen you.

    May His truth guide you.

    May His Word protect you.

And may your life become a testimony of what happens when a person chooses to walk with Jesus.

    Leave the darkness.
    Follow the Light.
    Walk in holiness.
    Live for Christ.

JESUS: THE WORD WHO BECAME FLESH

    TEXT: JOHN 1:1–18

    KEY VERSE:

«“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us...” — John 1:14 (KJV)»

John 1 opens the Gospel with one of the greatest truths in all Scripture: Jesus Christ is the eternal Word of God.

    Before Bethlehem, He was.

Before the beginning of creation, He was.

He was with God, and He was God. Through Him all things were made, and in Him was life.

John does not begin by telling us about Jesus' birth. He takes us beyond Bethlehem and reveals His eternal identity.

Jesus is not merely a good teacher, prophet, or religious leader. He is the Son of God, the eternal Word, the Light of the world, and the Saviour of mankind.

    THREE LESSONS FROM JOHN 1

JESUS IS THE WORD AND HE IS GOD.

    John 1:1 declares:

«“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”»

Jesus did not begin when He was born in Bethlehem.

    He existed from eternity.

This means our faith is not built around a mere human personality. It is built upon Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God.

Therefore, when Jesus speaks, we should listen.

When Jesus commands, we should obey.

When Jesus calls, we should follow.

JESUS IS THE LIGHT OF MEN.

    John 1:4–5 says:

«“In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness...”»

The world is filled with spiritual darkness, confusion, sin, fear, and deception.

But Jesus came as the Light.

    Light reveals what darkness hides.

    Light gives direction.

    Light brings hope.

Light exposes sin and points us toward righteousness.

You may be walking through a dark season today, but darkness cannot overcome the Light of Christ.

Don't run from Jesus when life becomes difficult.

    Run to the Light.

RECEIVE JESUS AND BECOME A CHILD OF GOD.

    John 1:11–12 says:

«“He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God...”»

Jesus came to His own people, yet many rejected Him.

But the wonderful news is that everyone who receives Him by faith can become a child of God.

Your background does not disqualify you.

Your past does not have to define you.

Your failures do not have to be your final story.

Receive Christ. Believe in Him. Follow Him.

In Christ, you can have a new identity and a new beginning.

JESUS CAME TO DWELL AMONG US

John 1:14 gives us the beautiful truth:

«“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us...”»

    God came near.

    Jesus entered our world.

He experienced human life and revealed the glory of God among humanity.

The God we worship is not distant from our struggles.

    Jesus understands suffering.

    He understands rejection.

    He understands temptation.

    He understands human weakness.

And yet He remained without sin.

He came near so that we could come near to God.

BE A WITNESS FOR THE LIGHT

John also introduces us to John the Baptist, who came as a witness to the Light.

    John 1:7 says:

«“The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.”»

John the Baptist understood his assignment.

    He was not the Light.

He came to point people to the Light.

That is also our responsibility as believers.

We are not called to draw attention to ourselves.

We are called to point people to Jesus.

At home, point people to Jesus.

At work, point people to Jesus.

Among your friends, point people to Jesus.

On social media, point people to Jesus.

Through your character and conduct, let people see the difference Christ makes.

JESUS MUST INCREASE IN OUR LIVES

    John the Baptist later declared:

«“He must increase, but I must decrease.” — John 3:30»

This should also be our prayer.

    Less of self.

    More of Christ.

    Less pride.

    More humility.

    Less worldly influence.

    More of God's Word.

    Less compromise.

    More holiness.

The more Jesus increases in us, the more His light shines through us.

    ✍🏽 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

Jesus is the Light that darkness cannot overcome. Receive Him, follow Him, and let His light shine through your life.

    🏽 PRAYER

    Heavenly Father,

Thank You for sending Jesus Christ, the eternal Word, the Light of the world, and the Saviour of mankind.

Open my heart to know Jesus more deeply. Help me to receive Him, believe His Word, and faithfully follow Him.

Let the light of Christ shine in every area of my life. Remove every form of spiritual darkness, sin, confusion, and compromise.

Help me, like John the Baptist, to be a faithful witness who points others to Jesus.

May Christ increase in my life while self decreases. Let my words, actions, character, and lifestyle bring glory to Your name.

Thank You for making it possible for me to become Your child through faith in Jesus Christ.

In Jesus' mighty name, Amen. 🏽

  • *TODAY'S PROPHETIC DECLARATION - TUESDAY, 18TH AUGUST, 2026.*

*LORD, OPEN MY EYES TO YOUR WONDERFUL TRUTH*

    Scripture:
“Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.” — Psalm 119:18 (KJV).

*Reflection – Open My Eyes, Lord*

Psalm 119:18 is a humble prayer for spiritual revelation. The Psalmist understood that reading God's Word is not merely an intellectual exercise; we need God's help to truly understand, receive, and apply His truth.

There may be wonderful things God wants us to see—truths about His character, promises concerning our lives, instructions for our journey, and wisdom for our decisions. But we need spiritual eyes to recognize them.

Today, let your prayer be: “Lord, open my eyes.” Open my eyes to understand Your Word. Open my eyes to recognize Your opportunities. Open my eyes to see what You are doing. Open my eyes to recognize people I should help and paths I should avoid.

When God opens our spiritual eyes, confusion gives way to understanding, fear gives way to faith, and uncertainty gives way to divine direction.

    *Prophetic Declaration:*
Today, I declare that my spiritual eyes are opened to the wonderful truths of God's Word. I receive divine understanding, wisdom, discernment, and revelation through the Holy Spirit.

I declare that confusion shall not control my mind. The Lord shall illuminate my understanding and help me distinguish between what is right and what is wrong, what is beneficial and what is harmful, and what is God's will and what is not.

Today, I receive grace to understand God's Word deeply and apply it faithfully. The Scriptures shall not merely be words that I read; they shall become living truth that transforms my thoughts, attitudes, decisions, and conduct.

I declare that God shall open my eyes to opportunities that align with His purpose for my life. I shall recognize the doors He opens, the relationships He brings, and the assignments He places before me.

I proclaim that my eyes shall be opened to see hidden dangers and avoid destructive paths. The Lord shall give me discernment concerning people, decisions, opportunities, and circumstances.

I declare divine revelation over my family, ministry, work, business, studies, relationships, and destiny. May the Lord show me what I need to know and teach me what I need to learn for every season of my life.

Today, I receive wisdom to make sound decisions. I shall not be governed by impulse, fear, pressure, or confusion. I shall seek God's counsel and allow His Word to guide my steps.

I declare that every veil of spiritual blindness, ignorance, misunderstanding, and deception is removed by the light of God's truth. I shall walk in the light and grow continually in the knowledge of Christ.

I proclaim that as my understanding increases, my life shall produce good fruit. I shall become wiser in my speech, more patient in my relationships, more faithful in my service, and more effective in fulfilling my God-given assignment.

Today, I declare that I will not miss what God is showing me. I will not overlook divine opportunities because of fear. I will not reject God's instructions because of pride. I will have a teachable heart and a willing spirit.

    Lord, open my eyes.
    Open my understanding.
    Open my spiritual perception.
Let me behold the wonders in Your Word.
Let me see what You want me to see and understand what You want me to understand.

Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen!

    *Action Steps for today:*
Begin with prayer: Before reading the Bible today, pray: “Lord, open my eyes and give me understanding.”

Read Psalm 119: Spend time meditating on the importance and power of God's Word.

Declare: “My spiritual eyes are opened; I receive wisdom, revelation, and understanding from God's Word.”

Write down one truth: Record one thing God teaches you from today's Bible reading and consider how you can apply it.

Seek God's direction: Before making an important decision today, pause and ask God for wisdom.

Remain teachable: Be willing to receive correction, instruction, and godly counsel.

End with thanksgiving: Thank God for every truth He has revealed to you throughout the day.

    *Prayer:*
    Heavenly Father,
I come before You today with a humble heart and ask: “Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.”

Open my spiritual eyes. Open my understanding. Remove every veil of ignorance, confusion, deception, and spiritual blindness from my life.

Give me grace to understand Your Word and apply it to my daily life. Let Your Word guide my thoughts, decisions, relationships, ministry, work, business, studies, and every area of my life.

Lord, show me the opportunities You have prepared for me. Help me recognize the doors You want me to enter and the paths You want me to avoid.

Give me discernment to recognize what is from You and wisdom to respond appropriately. Let me never be too proud to learn or too distracted to hear Your voice.

Open my eyes to see Your goodness even in difficult seasons. Help me recognize Your hand at work when circumstances do not look the way I expected.

May Your Word become a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Let my life continually reflect the wisdom and truth I receive from You.

Open my eyes, Lord, and let me behold Your wonders!

Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

    *Blessing for today:*
May the Lord open your spiritual eyes and fill you with divine wisdom and understanding. May His Word become clearer to you, His voice become more recognizable, and His direction become more evident.

May God open your eyes to new opportunities, divine connections, hidden dangers, and the wonderful things He is doing in your life.

May your family, ministry, work, business, studies, and destiny be guided by the light of God's Word.

May you never walk in confusion when divine wisdom is available to you. May the Holy Spirit illuminate your path and lead you into God's perfect will.

    Your eyes are opened.

*TODAY'S PROPHETIC DECLARATION - TUESDAY, 18TH AUGUST, 2026.* 🌟*LORD, OPEN MY EYES TO YOUR WONDERFUL TRUTH*🌟 📖 Scripture: “Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.” — Psalm 119:18 (KJV). 🔥*Reflection – Open My Eyes, Lord* Psalm 119:18 is a humble prayer for spiritual revelation. 🔊*Prophetic Declaration:* Today, I declare that my spiritual eyes are opened to the wonderful truths of God's Word. Amen! 🙏🔥 ✅*Action Steps for today:* 1️⃣ Begin with prayer: Before reading the Bible today, pray: “Lord, open my eyes and give me understanding.” 2️⃣ Read Psalm 119: Spend time meditating on the importance and power of God's Word. 3️⃣ Declare: “My spiritual eyes are opened; I receive wisdom, revelation, and understanding from God's Word.” 4️⃣ Write down one truth: Record one thing God teaches you from today's Bible reading and consider how you can apply it. 5️⃣ Seek God's direction: Before making an important decision today, pause and ask God for wisdom. 6️⃣ Remain teachable: Be willing to receive correction, instruction, and godly counsel. 7️⃣ End with thanksgiving: Thank God for every truth He has revealed to you throughout the day. 🔥*Prayer:* Heavenly Father, I come before You today with a humble heart and ask: “Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.” Open my spiritual eyes. Amen. 🙏🕊️ 🌿*Blessing for today:* May the Lord open your spiritual eyes and fill you with divine wisdom and understanding. • OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL

    DATE: TUESDAY 18TH AUGUST 2026

    TOPIC: GOD’S COVENANT OF PROMOTION

    MEMORIZE:
"But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil." Psalm 92:10 (KJV)

    BIBLE READING: PSALM 75:6-7
6 For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.

7 But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

    MESSAGE:
The devil often uses the promise of promotion to lure people into making covenants with him. For example, I have heard of cases where those in authority would ask someone due for a promotion at work to enter into an evil covenant by joining a secret cult before the promotion is granted.

Beloved, if you ever find yourself in such an ordeal, I urge you never to enter into such covenants.

Today’s Bible reading tells us that promotion comes from God. When He says yes, nobody can say no. When God decides to promote you, it doesn’t matter what anybody may try because you will reach the position that He intends. He controls the heart of kings; therefore, if anyone in authority threatens you, saying, “You will not be promoted unless you join us,” take your stand as a child of God, and never give in. Just hold on to God, and in the end, you will emerge victorious.

Sometime ago, one of my spiritual sons came to me and said, “Daddy, I am tired of being in one spot for so long; I want to move forward. I have an interview tomorrow, please pray for me.” I replied,

“Let us pray,” and he said, “No! Just speak a word.”

Then I told him that the interview would be successful. He went for the interview and came back beaming with joy. He said, “Daddy, I prepared hard for the interview, but they only asked me three questions: What is your name? Which post did you apply for? When do you want to start?” | congratulated him, and he said, “Daddy, please speak another word.” I obliged and responded,

“Your promotion will be rapid.” The next day, He came back dancing for joy. He said, “When I resumed this morning, I was asked to go to the boardroom. The people who interviewed me the previous day were seated there, and they said, ‘Our Managing Director resigned yesterday. Are you ready to take on the post?’ I replied,

“Congratulations, that’s a rapid promotion.” He told me to speak another word, and I said that God would complete the good work He had started in him. The next day, he came back to me almost speechless as his salary had been doubled! Then he said I should speak another word, and I jokingly responded, “Do you want to collect the company from the owners?”

Beloved, I pray that my Father will surprise you with rapid promotions, in Jesus’ name.

    KEY POINT:
Nothing and no one can limit a man whom God has decided to promote.

HYMNAL 20 - I'M PRESSING ON THE UPWARD WAY
    1. I'm pressing on the upward way, New heights I'm gaining
everyday; Still praying as I onward bound "Lord, plant my feet on higher ground."

    CHORUS:
Lord, lift me up and let me stand, By faith, on Heaven's table-land; Where love, and joy, and light abound, Lord, plant my feet on higher
    ground.

    2. My heart has no desire to stay where doubts arise, and fears dismay; though some may dwell where these abound, My constant aim is higher ground.

    CHORUS:

    3. Beyond the mist I fain would rise, to rest beneath unclouded skies, above earth's turmoil peace is found By those who dwell on higher ground.

    CHORUS:

    4. I long to scale the utmost height, Though rough the way, and hard the fight, My song, while climbing, shall resound Lord, lead me on to higher ground.

    CHORUS:

    5. Lord, lead me up the mountain side I dare not climb without my Guide; And, heaven gained, I'll gaze around, With grateful heart from higher ground.

  • DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 230
    DATE: 18TH AUGUST 2026
    TOPIC: EMBRACING UNIQUENESS BRINGS ORDER
    ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: 1 CORINTHIANS 14:26, 33 (NLT)
Well, my brothers and sisters, let’s summarize. When you meet together, one will sing, another will teach, another will tell some special revelation God has given, one will speak in tongues, and another will interpret what is said. But everything that is done must strengthen all of you.33-“For God is not a God of disorder but of peace, as in all the meetings of God’s holy people.”
    Devotional message

Yesterday, we saw the importance of embracing the uniqueness God has placed in each of us. Today, we discover that when we embrace our uniqueness and honour the contribution of others, we create room for divine order in the house of God.

The Apostle Paul gives us a beautiful picture of how the body of Christ should function. One may lead in praise and worship, while others support with sincerity and purity of heart. Another may teach while others listen, learn, and take notes. Another may bring a prophetic revelation, while others listen carefully and examine it according to the Word of God. Others may serve through playing instruments, administration, hospitality, prayer, or other gifts.

None of these functions should compete with another because every gift has a place in God's purpose.

Competition creates confusion because people begin trying to occupy positions God never assigned to them. However, when we recognize that our different gifts complement one another, we begin to experience the beauty of God's design.

The worshipper should not compete with the preacher. The preacher should not compete with the instrumentalist. The prophet should not compete with the teacher. The person serving behind the scenes should not feel inferior to the person standing before the congregation. Every genuine contribution matters when it is offered to God.

Paul says, “But everything that is done must strengthen all of you.” This means our gifts are not primarily given for personal recognition; they are given for the edification of the body of Christ.

When we honour one another's uniqueness, peace replaces competition, order replaces confusion, and cooperation replaces division. This creates an atmosphere where the Holy Spirit can work freely and the Church can fulfil her assignment effectively.

God is not the author of confusion but of peace. Therefore, wherever there is constant competition, jealousy, disorder, and the desire to outshine others, we must examine our hearts and return to God's pattern.

Child of God, you do not have to become another person to become valuable. Be faithful with what God has entrusted to you. Honour the grace upon others while developing the grace upon your own life.

The body of Christ becomes stronger when every member functions according to the grace God has given them.

    Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for the unique grace, gifts, talents, and abilities You have placed within each of us.Teach us to honour the gifts of others and faithfully steward what You have entrusted to us. Let Your order, peace, unity, and holiness prevail in Your Church, and may everything we do strengthen the body of Christ and bring glory to Your name. In Jesus' name, Amen.

  • 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞
“𝘕𝘰 𝘨𝘪𝘧𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘯—
𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸𝘯.”

We often compare ourselves with others—wishing we had their talent, their platform, their influence, or their opportunities. Yet comparison can make us overlook what God has already placed in our hands. Whether our gift seems impressive or ordinary, the question is not whether we have ability—but whether we are faithfully using what God has entrusted to us.

Peter writes in 🕮 𝟏 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟒:𝟏𝟎, “𝘈𝘴 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘩 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘪𝘧𝘵, 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘴𝘰 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳, 𝘢𝘴 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘧𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘎𝘰𝘥.” Spiritual gifts are not trophies for personal recognition but expressions of God’s grace, entrusted to us for the service and strengthening of His people. Grace gives the gift—and grace calls us to use it faithfully.

The word “𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥” 𝘪mplies management, not ownership. Our gifts aren’t possessions; they’re meant to build each other up. Like a toolbox, value lies not in impressive tools but in purpose. A hammer can’t replace a screwdriver. Likewise, God equips each of us uniquely. We don’t need another’s gift to fulfill our calling—only faithfulness in stewarding with the gift God gave us.

Scripture shows the body of Christ has many members, each with unique roles. “𝘏𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘨𝘪𝘧𝘵𝘴 𝘥𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘶𝘴, 𝘭𝘦𝘵 𝘶𝘴 𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮” (𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟏𝟐:𝟔). Some teach, serve, give, lead, or show mercy, “𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘥𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘨𝘪𝘧𝘵𝘴, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘚𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘵... 𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘰𝘥𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘺” (𝟏 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟏𝟐:𝟒; 𝟏𝟒). Different gifts don’t mean different worth. We are not all the same, but we are all called to serve.

The danger isn’t just wasting gifts but using them selfishly. Without humility, ministry becomes pride’s stage. Scripture commands, “𝘥𝘰 𝘪𝘵 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘺, 𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘰𝘳𝘥, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘦𝘯” (𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟑:𝟐𝟑). Peter urges, “𝘐𝘧 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴, 𝘭𝘦𝘵 𝘪𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘎𝘰𝘥’𝘴 𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺” (𝟏 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟒:𝟏𝟏). Don’t turn God’s gift into a platform; we serve not to be seen, but because we have been saved.

Before calling us to serve, Christ served us first: “not to be ministered unto, but to minister” (𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝟏𝟎:𝟒𝟓). He humbled Himself, “𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘴” (𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟐:𝟕–𝟖). Through His death, burial, and resurrection, He secured our redemption (𝟏 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟏𝟓:𝟑–𝟒). Now, the risen Lord sends us as stewards—not to hoard grace, but to spread it. Christ gave Himself for us; now we give ourselves in service to Him.

What has God placed in your hands that you have been overlooking, comparing, or withholding? Are you using His gift for His glory or your recognition? You don't need Christ merely to discover your gift—you need Him to surrender every gift to His service. The gift is God's. The opportunity is His. The glory must be His. Don't turn God's gift into your glory when He gave it to you for His ministry.

𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫: Heavenly Father, thank You for the gifts and opportunities You have entrusted to us. Forgive us for comparing ourselves with others or seeking recognition through what You have given. 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 ✍️ “𝘕𝘰 𝘨𝘪𝘧𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘯— 𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸𝘯.” We often compare ourselves with others—wishing we had their talent, their platform, their influence, or their opportunities. Teach us to serve faithfully, humbly, and joyfully, using every gift for the blessing of others and the glory of Christ. In Jesus' Name. Amen. RESTING IN GOD'S FAITHFUL CARE

    A WORD FROM THE WORD:

“The Lord is my shepherd, I have everything I need.” Psalm 23:1 GNB.

One of the fulfilling understandings that one would derive from David’s declaration in our foundational Scripture is that beyond the poetic, it is more of prophetic.
When the LORD is your Shepherd, lack becomes an impossibility. Here are some qualities of true shepherd, he guides, protects, provides, and ensures the wellbeing of the sheep. The LORD Jesus is not a distant supervisor; He is the ever-present Shepherd who walks with you daily.

Your life becomes what He envisions for you when you come to the point of realising and recognising that you are not at the mercy of situations and circumstances. You are under divine Shepherdhood. The vision of tomorrow may not be clear to you, but your Shepherd has already gone ahead of you. He knows the path, He knows the dangers, and He knows the green pastures prepared for you. All you have to do is to follow Him duly.

See, the LORD Jesus is not just a shepherd, He is your Shepherd. Personalised. Faithful and Intentional. The implications of this means that you will not lack direction, protection, supply, peace, or victory. Everything you need to fulfil your God-given destiny is already in His hands.

Rest assured, and rest in His guidance. Trust His leading, trust His process, follow His voice, He has no record of failure, and cannot fail.

    PRAYER BULLETS:

LORD Jesus, thank You for being my Shepherd. Lead me, guide me, and provide for me today. I trust Your voice above every fear.

    FURTHER READING:

    Psalm 23:1-4; Isaiah 26:3-4; John 10:11-14; Philippians 4:19.

  • Dear God, thank You for bringing me through another day. As I get ready to rest tonight, I’m grateful that You’re not waiting to pull the rug out from under me when I fail. You’re a good Father who looks past my actions and cares about the condition of my heart. Your word in 2 Chronicles 7:14 says, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” God, I don’t want to just go through the motions anymore, lifting my hands while my heart stays unchanged. Tonight I’m falling before You honestly, repenting and asking You to help me actually change direction, not just perform like I have. I give this night completely to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. -Psalm 51:10
