• LORD, BREAK MY HEART
When God Shatters What Pride Built

There is a prayer few people dare to pray:

    “Lord… break my heart.”

    Not because we enjoy pain.
    Not because we desire suffering.
But because there are parts of us that cannot be healed until they are broken before God.

Sometimes the greatest enemy of intimacy with God is not rebellion—it is a heart that has become hard, proud, numb, distracted, or self-sufficient.

We can sing worship songs while our hearts remain untouched.
We can attend church while resisting surrender.
We can speak about God while secretly protecting idols within us.

And so God, in His mercy, begins to break what keeps us from truly knowing Him.

    God Breaks Before He Builds

Throughout Scripture, brokenness often came before usefulness.

Jacob wrestled with God and walked away limping—but transformed.
David was crushed by repentance before he was restored.
Peter wept bitterly after denying Jesus before becoming bold in faith.

Even the woman with the alabaster jar had to break the vessel before the fragrance could fill the room.

    Brokenness is not always punishment.
    Sometimes it is preparation.

God breaks pride so humility can live.
He breaks self-reliance so dependence can grow.
He breaks earthly attachments so heavenly desire can awaken.

    Many ask God for power.
    Few ask Him for purity.

    Many want the anointing.
Few want the crushing that often comes before it.

The Danger of an Unbroken Heart

A heart that refuses to break eventually becomes hard.

    Hard hearts stop hearing conviction.
    They justify compromise.
    They lose tenderness toward God.
    Prayer becomes routine.
    Worship becomes performance.
    Obedience becomes selective.

    This is why David prayed:

“Create in me a clean heart, O God.” — Psalm 51:10

David understood something many believers forget:

God is not merely after behavior modification—He is after the condition of the heart.

Sometimes God allows disappointment, silence, correction, delay, or painful seasons not to destroy us, but to expose what is hidden inside us.

Because what remains hidden often remains unhealed.

When God Breaks You… He Stays Near

One of the greatest lies people believe is this:

“If I am broken, God must be far from me.”

    But Scripture says the opposite.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18

God draws near to surrendered hearts.

    He does not despise tears.
    He does not reject repentance.
He does not ignore honest surrender.

The broken heart becomes fertile ground for transformation.

It is in brokenness that pride dies.
It is in surrender that healing begins.
It is in weakness that grace becomes visible.

Sometimes God must empty us before He can fill us.

Break Me… But Do Not Leave Me

True surrender is not merely saying:
    “Bless me, Lord.”

    It is also saying:
    “Change me, Lord.”

    Even when it hurts.

    “Break my pride.”
    “Break my stubbornness.”
“Break my love for this world.”
    “Break every hidden idol.”
“Break everything in me that resists Your will.”

    That prayer is costly.

    But it is also holy.

Because God does not break us to abandon us—
He breaks us to remake us.

    Final Thought

The most dangerous heart is not the broken heart.
    It is the untouched heart.

The heart that no longer feels conviction.
    The heart that resists surrender.
The heart that appears strong before people but distant from God.

Sometimes the greatest prayer a believer can pray is not:

    “Lord, use me.”

    But first:

    “Lord… break me.”

Because broken vessels often carry the sweetest fragrance of Christ.

  • WHEN GOD SPEAKS OVER YOUR LIFE… IT CHANGES EVERYTHING.

The world may doubt you… People may walk away… Storms may try to shake you…

BUT when GOD makes a promise, HE DOES NOT TAKE IT BACK.

His Word is STILL true. His promises STILL stand. His faithfulness NEVER fails.

Even in the middle of the battle… Even when you feel weak… Even when the enemy whispers lies…

YOU are still chosen. YOU are still covered. YOU are still called.

God didn’t bring you this far to leave you now.

Be UNSHAKEABLE. Be UNSTOPPABLE. Stay UNFAILING in faith.

  • THE POWER OF A RENEWED MIND
When God Changes Your Thinking… He Changes Your Life

You can sit in church, hear truth, and still live defeated—because transformation does not begin in your surroundings… it begins in your mind.

Scripture does not say, “Be improved by attending.”
    It says:

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…” — Romans 12:2 (NIV)

The word transformed is the Greek metamorphoō—the same root used for metamorphosis. This is not behavior modification. This is total internal reformation.

A RENEWED MIND IS THE GATEWAY TO GOD’S WILL

Many believers ask: “What is God’s will for my life?”
But the verse already answers it.

You don’t discover God’s will by chasing it—
You discern it when your mind is renewed.

“…Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.”

Until your thinking changes, even God’s will can look confusing, inconvenient, or even undesirable.

A renewed mind aligns your perception with heaven.
You begin to see correctly, and when you see correctly—you live correctly.

YOUR LIFE FOLLOWS YOUR THOUGHT LIFE

“For as he thinks in his heart, so is he…” — Proverbs 23:7 (NKJV)

Your life is not shaped by what you occasionally believe—
It is shaped by what you consistently think.

If your mind is filled with fear, you will live cautiously—even if God is calling you boldly.
If your mind is filled with lies, you will resist truth—even when it is preached clearly.

This is why strongholds exist—not in your environment, but in your mind.

“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal… pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.” — 2 Corinthians 10:4–5 (NKJV)

A stronghold is not just a demon—it is a pattern of thinking fortified against truth.

SALVATION CHANGES YOUR SPIRIT—BUT RENEWAL CHANGES YOUR LIFE

When you are born again, your spirit is made new instantly.

“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation…” — 2 Corinthians 5:17

    But your mind?
It must be trained, washed, and renewed daily.

This is why many believers are saved—but still think like the world.
They have a new identity—but an old mindset.

And until the mind is renewed, the life will not reflect the new nature.

THE WORD OF GOD IS THE TOOL OF RENEWAL

“Sanctify them by the truth; Your word is truth.” — John 17:17

Renewal does not come from positive thinking—it comes from biblical thinking.

The Word of God does not just inform you—it reprograms you.

Every time you meditate on Scripture, you are:

    Replacing lies with truth
    Rewiring your responses
Aligning your thoughts with God’s thoughts

“You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You…” — Isaiah 26:3

Peace is not a feeling you chase.
It is the result of a mind fixed on God.

A RENEWED MIND PRODUCES A TRANSFORMED LIFE

    When your mind is renewed:

    Fear loses its grip
    Temptation loses its power
    Confusion gives way to clarity
    Weakness gives way to conviction

You stop reacting like your past…
And start responding like your new nature.

You no longer think like a slave—you think like a son.

    DECLARATION

I refuse to be shaped by the world.
My mind is being renewed by the Word of God.
I take every thought captive and align it with Christ.
I see clearly, I think rightly, and I live transformed.

    ONE TRUTH TO REMEMBER

A changed life is the visible evidence of a renewed mind.

    God is speaking—are you listening?
Comment “AMEN” if you are ready to renew your mind.

  • The Holy Spirit Often Speaks Quietly, Not Loudly.

Many believers expect God to always speak through dramatic signs—thunder, visions, or loud revelations.

But Scripture shows that the Holy Spirit often speaks in a quiet, gentle way. If you are always looking for noise, you may miss divine direction.

God is not always in the spectacular; sometimes He is in the subtle whisper.

“And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.” — 1 Kings 19:12 (KJV)

    1. God’s Voice Is Often Gentle and Quiet

    1 Kings 19:11–12
Elijah expected God in wind, earthquake, and fire

But God came in a still small voice

The Holy Spirit does not compete with noise

His voice is calm, peaceful, and gentle

“My sheep hear my voice…” — John 10:27

If your life is too noisy (distractions, sin, busyness), you will struggle to hear Him.

    2. The Holy Spirit Speaks Through Inner Witness

    Romans 8:16
“The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit…”

    Explanation:
The Holy Spirit speaks inside you, not just outside

    It comes as:

    A deep knowing

A sense of peace or unrest

    A quiet conviction

You may feel uneasy about a decision without knowing why—that is often the Spirit guiding you.

    3. God Speaks in Peace, Not Confusion

    1 Corinthians 14:33
“For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace…”

The voice of the Holy Spirit brings:

    Clarity

    Direction

    Peace

    The enemy brings:

    Fear

    Pressure

    Confusion

    Key Discernment Principle:
If it is loud and chaotic, it may not be God.

    4. You Must Be Still to Hear Him

    Psalm 46:10
“Be still, and know that I am God…”

    Stillness is a spiritual requirement

    God’s quiet voice requires:

    Silence

    Meditation

    Sensitivity

    Practical Ways to Be Still:

    Spend time in prayer daily

    Reduce distractions (phone, noise)

    Meditate on God’s Word

    5. The Holy Spirit Speaks Through the Word of God

    2 Timothy 3:16
The Bible is the primary voice of God

The Spirit will never contradict Scripture

Sometimes the “quiet voice” is simply a Scripture coming alive in your heart.

    6. Disobedience Can Silence the Voice

    1 Thessalonians 5:19
    “Quench not the Spirit.”

Ignoring God repeatedly dulls your sensitivity

The more you obey, the clearer His voice becomes

    Conclusionon

God is still speaking today—but not always loudly.

If you want to hear the Holy Spirit:

    Slow down

    Stay quiet

    Stay sensitive

    Stay obedient

    Remember:
The loudest voice is not always God’s voice—the clearest one is.

    Call to Action
Ask God to sharpen your spiritual ears

Create time daily to listen, not just to talk

    Obey even the smallest promptings

    Closing Prayer

“Lord, open my ears to hear Your quiet voice. Help me to discern Your Spirit clearly. Remove every distraction and make my heart sensitive to Your leading. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

  • How God Speaks to His People

God is not silent. From the beginning of creation, God has always communicated with His people.

Many believers often ask, “Does God still speak today?” The answer is Yes. God still speaks, but we must understand how He communicates and develop the spiritual sensitivity to hear Him.

The Bible confirms this in Job 33:14:
"For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not."

This means God speaks in different ways, but many people fail to recognize His voice.

    1. God Speaks Through His Word (The Bible)

The primary way God speaks to His people is through Scripture. The Bible is God's written voice to humanity.

    In 2 Timothy 3:16–17:
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness."

Whenever you read the Bible, God is speaking directly to you. His Word provides guidance, correction, encouragement, and direction for life.

    Example:
When someone is confused about what to do, a Bible verse may suddenly become clear and speak directly to their situation.

    2. God Speaks Through the Holy Spirit

God also speaks through the Holy Spirit, who lives inside believers.

    In John 16:13:
"Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth."

    The Holy Spirit communicates through:

    Inner conviction

    Spiritual prompting

Peace or unrest in your spirit

Sometimes you may feel strongly that something is right or wrong — that can be the Holy Spirit guiding you.

    3. God Speaks Through Dreams and Visions

Another biblical way God communicates is through dreams and visions.

    In Joel 2:28:
"Your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions."

Throughout the Bible, God used dreams to communicate with His people.

    Examples include:

Joseph received prophetic dreams (Genesis 37).

    Daniel interpreted dreams and visions.

Joseph was warned in a dream to protect baby Jesus.

However, dreams must always be tested with the Word of God.

    4. God Speaks Through His Servants (Prophets and Ministers)

God often speaks through anointed servants, such as prophets, pastors, and teachers.

    In Amos 3:7:
"Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets."

    Examples in the Bible include:

    Nathan who corrected David

    Samuel who guided kings

    Elijah who delivered God's message

God still uses ministers today to deliver messages that bring direction, warning, and encouragement.

    5. God Speaks Through Circumstances

Sometimes God speaks through life situations and open or closed doors.

    In Revelation 3:7:
"What he opens no man can shut, and what he shuts no man can open."

    For example:

A door of opportunity may open unexpectedly.

A plan may fail repeatedly because God is redirecting you.

Circumstances can sometimes be God's way of guiding your steps.

    6. God Speaks Through a Still Small Voice

God may speak quietly within the heart.

    In 1 Kings 19:12:
God spoke to Elijah through a still small voice, not through wind, earthquake, or fire.

This teaches that God’s voice is often gentle and quiet, and we must learn to be spiritually sensitive.

    7. God Speaks Through Wise Counsel

God can also speak through godly advice from mature believers.

    In Proverbs 11:14:
"In the multitude of counsellors there is safety."

Sometimes the answer you are praying for may come through a wise person God places in your life.

    How to Hear God Clearly

Live a life of prayer – Prayer opens your spirit to hear God.

Study the Bible regularly – The more you know God's Word, the easier it is to recognize His voice.

Stay away from sin – Sin can block spiritual sensitivity.

Be spiritually quiet – Many people cannot hear God because their lives are too noisy.

Test every message with Scripture – God never contradicts His Word.

    Conclusion

God is still speaking today. The real question is not whether God speaks, but whether we are listening.

Just like young Samuel said in 1 Samuel 3:10:
"Speak, Lord; for thy servant heareth."

May our hearts always be open to hear the voice of God.

God Speaks Through His Word (The Bible) The primary way God speaks to His people is through Scripture. The Bible is God's written voice to humanity. In 2 Timothy 3:16–17: "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." Whenever you read the Bible, God is speaking directly to you. His Word provides guidance, correction, encouragement, and direction for life. Example: When someone is confused about what to do, a Bible verse may suddenly become clear and speak directly to their situation. 2. God Speaks Through the Holy Spirit God also speaks through the Holy Spirit, who lives inside believers. In John 16:13: "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth." The Holy Spirit communicates through: Inner conviction Spiritual prompting Peace or unrest in your spirit Sometimes you may feel strongly that something is right or wrong — that can be the Holy Spirit guiding you. 3. God Speaks Through Dreams and Visions Another biblical way God communicates is through dreams and visions. In Joel 2:28: "Your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions." Throughout the Bible, God used dreams to communicate with His people. Examples include: Joseph received prophetic dreams (Genesis 37). Daniel interpreted dreams and visions. Joseph was warned in a dream to protect baby Jesus. However, dreams must always be tested with the Word of God. 4. God Speaks Through His Servants (Prophets and Ministers) God often speaks through anointed servants, such as prophets, pastors, and teachers. In Amos 3:7: "Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets." Examples in the Bible include: Nathan who corrected David Samuel who guided kings Elijah who delivered God's message God still uses ministers today to deliver messages that bring direction, warning, and encouragement. 5. God Speaks Through Circumstances Sometimes God speaks through life situations and open or closed doors. In Revelation 3:7: "What he opens no man can shut, and what he shuts no man can open." For example: A door of opportunity may open unexpectedly. A plan may fail repeatedly because God is redirecting you. Circumstances can sometimes be God's way of guiding your steps. 6. God Speaks Through a Still Small Voice God may speak quietly within the heart. In 1 Kings 19:12: God spoke to Elijah through a still small voice, not through wind, earthquake, or fire. This teaches that God’s voice is often gentle and quiet, and we must learn to be spiritually sensitive. 7. God Speaks Through Wise Counsel God can also speak through godly advice from mature believers. In Proverbs 11:14: "In the multitude of counsellors there is safety." Sometimes the answer you are praying for may come through a wise person God places in your life. How to Hear God Clearly Live a life of prayer – Prayer opens your spirit to hear God. Conclusion God is still speaking today. The real question is not whether God speaks, but whether we are listening. Just like young Samuel said in 1 Samuel 3:10: "Speak, Lord; for thy servant heareth." May our hearts always be open to hear the voice of God. • THE ANOINTING IS PASSED TO THE PREPARED

Elijah was taken up in glory. The mantle fell from heaven.
But it did not fall randomly — it fell to the one who was ready.

Elisha did not suddenly appear at that moment. He had walked with Elijah. He had served faithfully. He had followed when others stayed behind. He refused to leave the place of obedience, even when the journey was difficult.

Before the mantle fell publicly, preparation happened privately.
Before the power came, surrender was proven.
Before the anointing was released, the heart was tested.

Many desire the anointing, but few embrace the preparation.
Many want the mantle, but resist the process.
God does not release His power to the curious — He entrusts it to the committed.

When heaven releases something, it searches for a prepared vessel.
The question is not whether God will pour out His power.
The question is — will He find you ready?

Stay faithful. Stay surrendered. Stay prepared.
Because when the mantle falls, it falls on the one who is ready to carry it.

“You have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many.” — Matthew 25:21
