• PSALM 79-81
    REFLECTION
Asaph has composed these 3 Psalms; the first does not refer to the choirmaster unlike Psalm 80-81. Psalm 79 is Asaph's lament for Israel, where he questions God how much longer will He allow destruction upon Israel. "We have become a taunt to our neighbors, mocked and derided by those around us. How long, O LORD? Will You be angry forever? Will Your jealousy burn like fire? Pour out Your anger on the nations that do not know You, and on the kingdoms that do not call upon Your Name!" In Asaph agonizing over the state of his home and people, he requests that God turn wrath over to their enemies. The whole reason that God is allowing this evil is for Israel's good as stated in earlier Psalms, but now Asaph seems distraught and although He praises God, he doesn't seem to understand at this moment why God is still allowing it all. God chastises those He loves, and in my experience and Scripture as well I see the repentance and change that comes from it. My heart wanders back to 2 Corinthians 7:10. While this verse is very harsh, it is understandable that God loves His people so much He will use any means necessary to accomplish His will. Next in Psalm 80, Asaph testifies of all the goodness of God, and sings and prays for restoration of Israel. "Restore us, O LORD God of hosts! Let Your face shine, that we may be saved!" In Psalm 81, Asaph encourages the people to petition God in unity, in one accord to praise Him and to face this "prophetic hymn." He prophesies through song and urges the people to return to obey God and keep His ways, else they be subdued by their enemies rather than God doing the subduing.

  • JESUS CHRIST THE CENTER OF EVERY FOUNDATION
As we think about starting anything new in our lives whether ministry, business, marriage etc . The question that we should ask ourselves is this, is Christ Jesus the center and foundation of what I am about to start?, if not then don't start what you are planning to do if he is not the foundation.
    John:1.3
Through him God made all things; not one thing in all creation was made without him.
,, The above scripture in John teaches us that nothing was created without Jesus Christ, that also applies to our lives without Jesus Christ we can't build anything that will stay unless he is the foundation of what we are building.

    John:15.5
‎"I am the vine, and you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will bear much fruit; for you can do nothing without me.

    Reflection
if you want to prosper in what you are about to start Ensure that Christ is the center and foundation on which you are building on.
Without Christ nothing will prosper in our lives because through him everything was made and nothing is made without him.

    PRAYER
Lord Jesus as I start my this new thing in may life(mention it) ,may you be the foundation and the center In which it is built on . Holy spirit always help me to remember to build my life my ministry on Christ Jesus. it is in the mighty name of Jesus Christ I pray and ask Amen
