• You Will Praise Him Again

“Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.” — Psalm 42:11

Notice the words: “I will yet praise Him.”

The psalmist was still hurting, but he believed his present suffering would not have the final word.

Whatever you're walking through today, hold onto God.

    The tears won't last forever.
The darkness won't have the final word.
God has not stopped being faithful.

Put your hope in God. You will praise Him again.

  • Can we be active in church and still be ignoring what God is asking us to change?

    https://patrickryanlewis.com/2026/08/15/when-leadership-becomes-corrupt-the-warning-of-micah-39-12/

Micah 3:9–12 gives us a sobering picture of leaders who had the right religious language but the wrong priorities.

Rulers were influenced by bribes. Priests allowed money to shape their ministry. Prophets pursued personal gain. Yet they still confidently believed that because the Lord was among them, judgment could never come.

They confused God’s presence with God’s approval.

    That warning still matters today.

Church attendance, ministry involvement, biblical knowledge, giving, leadership positions, and years of Christian service are all valuable—but none of them can replace genuine obedience to God.

Micah forces us to ask some difficult questions:

Where has money, comfort, approval, or influence begun affecting our decisions?

Are we willing to obey God when obedience becomes costly?

Are we using religious activity as evidence that everything in our spiritual lives must be okay?

    And perhaps most importantly:

What has God entrusted to me, and am I handling it faithfully?

  • From Pain to Praise

Psalm 41 begins with compassion, moves through suffering and betrayal, and ends with praise:

“Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.” — Psalm 41:13

David's circumstances were painful, but his confidence in God remained.

That's the message for us today: people change, circumstances change, but God remains faithful forever.

    Amen and Amen.

  • https://youtube.com/live/O9lbEYNYSjc A redeemer is someone entrusted with securing one’s release from oppression, harm, evil, enslavement, or some other binding obligation. A redeemer restores the lost rights and freedoms of another by avenging any wrongs and paying whatever price is required to set that person free. The role of “Redeemer” is uniquely assigned to Jesus Christ, who rescues believers “from the dominion of darkness” and delivers them into God’s kingdom of light (Colossians 1:13–14). Throughout the Bible, God’s work of redemption points to Jesus as the supreme Redeemer of humanity (Isaiah 63:16). Christ is the fulfillment of Scripture’s redemptive theme (Romans 3:25). #JesusChrist #Redeemer #ChristianFaith #BibleStudy #Salvation

  • EXHAUSTED—BUT STILL CHASING.

That may be one of the most powerful descriptions of Gideon and his 300 men in Judges 8.

    https://patrickryanlewis.com/2026/08/14/exhausted-but-still-chasing-persistence-compromise-and-justice-in-judges-84-21/

They had already fought a tremendous battle. They were hungry. They were exhausted. They asked fellow Israelites for help and were refused. The people who should have encouraged them doubted they would succeed.

    But they kept going.

Judges 8:4–21 reminds us that being tired does not necessarily mean God is finished with what He has called us to do.

Sometimes faithfulness means continuing to pray when you haven’t seen the answer.

Continuing to serve when nobody seems to notice.
Continuing to resist temptation when the battle feels repetitive.
Continuing to obey when other people refuse to stand beside you.
Continuing to trust God when you cannot yet see the outcome.

Gideon’s story also gives us sobering lessons about unbelief, compromise, leadership, justice, and the danger of standing on the sidelines when God calls us to participate.

You can be tired and still be faithful.

You can be discouraged and still be obedient.

Sometimes the next act of faith isn’t something dramatic.

Sometimes it is simply taking the next step.

Read the latest study on Judges 8:4–21 — “Exhausted, but Still Chasing.”
