  • THERE IS LIFE AFTER DEATH

Many people live as though death is the end of everything. They focus only on earthly success, possessions, and pleasures.

However, the Bible clearly teaches that death is not the end. There is life after death. Every human being will continue to exist eternally, either in the presence of God or separated from Him.

Death is simply a transition from this earthly life into eternity. Therefore, every person must prepare for life after death.

    Hebrews 9:27
"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.

    1. Jesus Confirmed That There Is Life After Death

    John 11:25-26
"Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live."

Jesus clearly taught that those who believe in Him will live even after physical death. The grave is not the end for the believer. Through Christ, eternal life is guaranteed.

    Matthew 22:31-32
"God is not the God of the dead, but of the living."

God sees His children as living, even after they leave this world.

    2. The Story of the Rich Man and Lazarus

    Luke 16:19-31
Jesus told the story of a rich man and a poor beggar named Lazarus. Both died, but their experiences after death were very different.

Lazarus was comforted in Abraham's bosom.

The rich man was in torment.

This story teaches us that consciousness continues after death. People do not cease to exist when they die.

    3. Death Is Not the End for Believers

    Philippians 1:21
"For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain."

Paul viewed death as gain because it meant entering the presence of Christ.

    2 Corinthians 5:8
"Absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord."

For believers, death means leaving the earthly body and entering God's presence.

    Revelation 14:13
"Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord."

Those who die in Christ enter a state of blessing and rest.

    4. There Will Be a Resurrection

    John 5:28-29
"All that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth."

One day, everyone who has died will be resurrected.

    Daniel 12:2
"Many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt."

The resurrection will separate those who belong to God from those who rejected Him.

    5. There Will Be Judgment After Death

    Hebrews 9:27
"It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment."

Every person will stand before God and give an account of their life.

    Romans 14:12
"So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God."

Our words, actions, and choices matter because eternity is real.

    6. Heaven Is Real

    John 14:2-3
"In my Father's house are many mansions... I go to prepare a place for you."

Jesus promised a real place prepared for His followers.

    Revelation 21:4
"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying."

Heaven is a place of joy, peace, and eternal fellowship with God.

    7. Hell Is Real

    Matthew 25:46
"And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal."

The Bible teaches that hell is a place of eternal separation from God.

    Mark 9:43
"It is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell."

God desires that no one perish, but every person must choose whether to follow Christ.

    Lessons From This Message
Death is not the end of existence.

Every person will spend eternity somewhere.

Salvation through Jesus Christ is the only preparation for eternity.

We must live each day with eternity in view.

God is calling everyone to repentance and faith in Christ.

    Call to Salvation

If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, today is the day to do so.

    Romans 10:9
"If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."

Receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, repent of your sins, and follow Him faithfully. The most important preparation for life after death is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

    Conclusion

There is life after death. The grave is not the final destination of mankind.

One day, every person will stand before God. Those who trust in Christ will enjoy eternal life in His presence, while those who reject Him will face eternal separation from God.

Therefore, live wisely, walk with God faithfully, and prepare for eternity today.

    Key Verse: John 11:25
"I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live."

  • THIS MAY NOT BE POPULAR... BUT IT'S TRUE.

We love to talk about God's love.
We love to talk about His grace.
We love to talk about Heaven.

But if we never talk about Hell... are we really sharing the whole Gospel?

Jesus spoke about Hell because He loves people enough to warn them.

The cross isn't just about what we're saved TO...
It's also about what we're saved FROM.

God doesn't send warnings because He hates us.
He sends warnings because He loves us.

The Gospel is the greatest message ever told:
    Jesus died for our sins.
    Jesus rose from the grave.
Jesus offers forgiveness and eternal life to anyone who believes.

But we cannot fully appreciate the rescue if we ignore what we're being rescued from.

"Fear Him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell." — Luke 12:5

Today is another opportunity to turn to Jesus, walk with Him, and share His truth with others.

  • Be Careful: You May Have Earthly Documents and Lack Heavenly Documents.

In today’s world, people pursue earthly documents—certificates, passports, land titles, licenses, contracts, and accolades.

These documents grant access, identity, and privilege on earth. Yet Scripture warns that there are heavenly documents—records kept by God—that ultimately determine eternal destiny.

A person may be fully documented on earth and still be undocumented in heaven.

This sermon calls us to examine not what we carry in our files, but what is written in God’s books.

    1. Earthly Documents Are Temporary

Earthly documents have value—but only within time.

    Degrees expire in relevance.

    Passports lose validity.

    Properties change ownership.

    Positions end.

Jesus illustrated this with the rich fool who had barns full but a soul empty (Luke 12:16–21). When death came, his earthly records could not negotiate with eternity.

Lesson: Earthly documents expire at death; heavenly documents speak beyond death.

    2. Heaven Keeps Records

The Bible clearly teaches that heaven has books.

Book of Life (Revelation 20:12; Philippians 4:3)

    Book of Works/Remembrance (Malachi 3:16)

Your name, faith, obedience, motives, and stewardship are recorded. Salvation is not assumed; it is recorded. Service is not forgotten; it is documented.

Lesson: Heaven is not casual; it is organized and exact.

    3. Religious Activity Is Not the Same as Heavenly Approval

Jesus warned that many will present impressive earthly spiritual credentials:

    “We prophesied…”

    “We cast out demons…”

    “We did many wonders…”

Yet He will reply, “I never knew you” (Matthew 7:21–23).

Lesson: Ministry activity without relationship does not register as heavenly documentation.

    4. Citizenship Determines Access

Paul declares, “Our citizenship is in heaven” (Philippians 3:20).
Just as a visa or passport determines border access, citizenship in Christ determines entry into God’s kingdom.

    Earthly citizenship gives national access.

    Heavenly citizenship gives eternal access.

Lesson: You can be legally recognized by a nation and still be unknown in heaven.

    5. How to Secure Heavenly Documents

Heavenly documentation is not earned by works alone but is authenticated by faith that produces obedience.

    a. Salvation through Christ

John 14:6 – Jesus is the only way.

Acts 4:12 – No other name by which we must be saved.

    b. A Life of Obedience and Holiness

Hebrews 12:14 – Without holiness no one will see the Lord.

    c. Faithful Stewardship and Service

Matthew 25:21 – “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

    d. Endurance to the End

Revelation 3:5 – Names can be blotted out or retained.

Lesson: Heavenly documents are secured by salvation, sustained by obedience, and confirmed by perseverance.

    6. The Final Audit

Every life will face a final audit before God.

    Earthly files will be closed.

    Heavenly books will be opened.

No lawyer, title, or certificate will speak for you—only what is written in heaven.

2 Corinthians 5:10 reminds us that everyone will appear before Christ’s judgment seat.

    Conclusion

Be careful. Do not invest your entire life in documents that end at the grave while neglecting records that speak in eternity.

Ensure that while your name appears in earthly registries, it is also written in the Book of Life.

    Final Question:
If heaven were to open its records today, would your name be found?

    Prayer
“Lord, search my life. Remove every false confidence. Write my name in the Book of Life, align my works with Your will, and help me live with eternity in view, in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

  • We Are All in the Queue: Living Ready, Living Right.

Every minute, someone leaves this world. Not because they were old, weak, or unimportant—but because their time came.

Age does not control death; position does not delay it; wealth does not prevent it.

Scripture reminds us that life is brief and uncertain. Whether we realize it or not, we are all standing in a divine queue—moving steadily toward eternity.

We do not know who is ahead of us. We cannot step out of the line.

We cannot pause the movement. And we cannot return to the back.

The question is not if we will leave this world, but how we are living while we wait.

    1. The Reality of the Queue: Life Is Temporary

“For what is your life? It is even a vapour…” (James 4:14)

Life is fragile and unpredictable. Many plan as though they will live forever, yet eternity is closer than we think.

Wisdom begins when we accept that our time here is limited and accountability is certain.

Truth: Awareness of death should not create fear—it should produce wisdom.

    2. The Danger of Deception: Trusting What Cannot Save

“A man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.” (Luke 12:15)

Money, social status, titles, influence, and connections give a false sense of security.

History is filled with powerful people who could not negotiate one extra day of life.

Truth: What you possess cannot preserve you—only what you become in Christ prepares you.

    3. The Call While Waiting: Live Right in the Queue

Since we cannot stop the line, God calls us to live purposefully while we wait.

    a. Make Peace
“Blessed are the peacemakers…” (Matthew 5:9)

Holding grudges is foolish when tomorrow is not guaranteed. Reconciliation is urgent.

    b. Do Good
“Let us not be weary in well doing…” (Galatians 6:9)

Kindness is never wasted. Good works echo into eternity.

    c. Speak the Truth
“Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth…” (Ephesians 4:25)

Truth honors God and preserves the soul.

    d. Live Honestly
“Provide things honest in the sight of all men.” (Romans 12:17)

Integrity is what follows you beyond the grave.

    4. The Sin of Pride and Hatred: A Deadly Distraction

“Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer…” (1 John 3:15)

Why boast over others when life can end in minutes? Why seek another person’s downfall when your own breath is borrowed?

Pride blinds people to eternity and hardens the heart against God.

Truth: You cannot claim readiness for heaven while cultivating hatred on earth.

    5. The Ultimate Question: Are You Ready to Step Out of the Line?

“Prepare to meet thy God.” (Amos 4:12)

One day, your turn will come. Not by announcement. Not by warning.

The only preparation that matters is a right relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

    Conclusion

We are all in the queue—moving steadily toward eternity. Wisdom is not found in denial, but in preparation.

Let us live with humility, walk in love, pursue peace, and remain ready. When our turn comes, may we step into eternity with confidence, not regret.

    Prayer Points
Father, give me a heart that lives daily with eternity in view.

Lord, remove every pride, hatred, and unforgiveness from my heart.

Help me to walk in truth, honesty, and integrity all my days.

Deliver me from trusting in money, position, or connections instead of You.

Teach me to do good and make peace while I still have time.

Prepare my heart, O God, to be ready whenever You call me home.

    Altar Call (Salvation Appeal)
Beloved, if today were your turn in the queue, are you sure of where you would spend eternity? Jesus Christ died and rose again so you can have eternal life. If you are not born again, or you have drifted away from God, this is your moment.

    Prayer of Salvation:

Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that my life is in Your hands.

I repent of my sins and turn away from my old ways.

I believe You died for me and rose again.

Come into my heart, be my Lord and Savior.

From today, I choose to live ready for eternity.

    In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer Points Father, give me a heart that lives daily with eternity in view. Altar Call (Salvation Appeal) Beloved, if today were your turn in the queue, are you sure of where you would spend eternity? Jesus Christ died and rose again so you can have eternal life. If you are not born again, or you have drifted away from God, this is your moment. Prayer of Salvation: Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that my life is in Your hands. I repent of my sins and turn away from my old ways. I believe You died for me and rose again. Come into my heart, be my Lord and Savior. From today, I choose to live ready for eternity. In Jesus’ name, Amen. • Prepare to Meet Your Maker

Life on earth is temporary. No matter our age, status, wealth, or achievements, our time here is short.

God’s Word continually reminds us that we are pilgrims passing through, not permanent residents.

The greatest wisdom of life is not how long we live, but how prepared we are to meet our Maker.

Hebrews 9:27 — “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.”

Psalm 90:12 — “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.”

    1. MAN’S LIFE ON EARTH IS BRIEF

The Bible clearly shows that human life is short and uncertain.

James 4:14 — “What is your life? It is even a vapor, that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away.”

Job 14:1–2 — “Man that is born of a woman is of few days… he comes forth like a flower, and is cut down.”

No one knows the length of their stay on earth. Therefore, postponing repentance or godly living is dangerous. Today is the best day to prepare.

    2. WE ALL HAVE AN APPOINTMENT WITH GOD

Every human being will stand before God.

Ecclesiastes 12:7 — “Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.”

2 Corinthians 5:10 — “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ.”

This meeting cannot be avoided, bribed, or postponed. The only question is: Will you be ready?

    3. HOW DO WE PREPARE TO MEET OUR MAKER?

    a. Through Repentance
    True preparation begins with repentance.

Acts 3:19 — “Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out.”

A repentant heart turns away from sin and turns fully to God.

    b. Through Faith in Jesus Christ
    Salvation is only through Jesus.

John 14:6 — “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me.”

Romans 10:9 — “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus… you shall be saved.”

    c. Through Holy Living
Our daily lives must reflect our readiness.

1 Peter 1:15–16 — “Be holy; for I am holy.”

Matthew 24:44 — “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man comes.”

    4. THE CONSEQUENCES OF UNPREPAREDNESS

Ignoring God’s call has eternal consequences.

Amos 4:12 — “Prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.”

Luke 12:20 — “You fool, this night your soul shall be required of you.”

Preparation is not for tomorrow—it is for now.

    CONCLUSION

Man’s stay on earth is brief, but eternity is forever.

What you do with Jesus today determines where you will spend eternity.

Wealth, fame, and success will fade, but your soul will live on.

Prepare now. Live ready. Walk with God daily.

Isaiah 55:6 — “Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near.”

    ALTAR CALL / PRAYER

Lord, help me to number my days.

I turn away from sin and surrender my life to You.

Teach me to live ready and faithful, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  • The Day of Reckoning: You Will Give Account of Your Life

Every human being lives with a silent appointment on God’s calendar.

The Bible calls it The Day of Reckoning—a day when excuses will expire, secrets will be exposed, and every soul will stand before the righteous Judge.

    Rom. 14:12, 2 Cor. 5:10, Heb. 9:27, Matt. 12:36, Rev. 20:11-12

This is not a myth, not a parable, not a mere warning tactic; it is a divine certainty.

“So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” – Romans 14:12

Your life is not a random journey. It is a stewardship, and one day you will give a full report of how you lived it.

    1. THE DAY IS APPOINTED AND UNAVOIDABLE

“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” – Hebrews 9:27

No one escapes this appointment. Not the rich, not the poor, not the pastor, not the politician.

Death ends earthly opportunities, and judgment begins eternal evaluation.

You will not send a representative. You will stand alone before God.

This truth should provoke sobriety, humility, and urgent repentance.

    2. YOU WILL GIVE ACCOUNT FOR YOUR WORDS

“But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken.” – Matthew 12:36

Your mouth is not exempt from judgment. Gossip, lies, curses, insults, idle talk, slander, and false promises will all be accounted for.

Words are seeds. On the Day of Reckoning, God will replay every syllable.

    3. YOU WILL GIVE ACCOUNT FOR YOUR DEEDS

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that everyone may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.” – 2 Corinthians 5:10

Every action is recorded in Heaven’s ledger. How you treated people, how you used your gifts, how you managed resources, and how you responded to God’s voice will be reviewed.

Hidden sins are not hidden from God.

“And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened…” – Revelation 20:12

    4. YOU WILL GIVE ACCOUNT FOR YOUR TIME

Time is God’s divine currency. Every wasted hour, every delayed obedience, every procrastinated calling will be questioned.

“See then that ye walk circumspectly... redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” – Ephesians 5:15-16

How did you spend your time? Chasing vanity or pursuing purpose?

    5. YOU WILL GIVE ACCOUNT FOR YOUR SPIRITUAL STEWARDSHIP

Did you grow in the Word? Did you pray? Did you serve? Did you witness? Did you live holy?

“Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.” – 1 Corinthians 4:2

Salvation is not a license to live carelessly. Grace is a call to holiness.

    6. THE JUDGE IS RIGHTEOUS AND IMPARTIAL

“For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” – Ecclesiastes 12:14

God is not bribed. He is not influenced by status, denomination, or emotional stories. His standard is truth and righteousness.

    7. HOW THEN SHOULD WE LIVE?

In light of the coming judgment, we must:

    * Repent sincerely (Acts 3:19)

    * Live holy (1 Peter 1:15-16)

    * Walk in obedience (John 14:15)

    * Serve faithfully (Col. 3:23)

    * Prepare daily (Amos 4:12)

“Prepare to meet thy God.” – Amos 4:12

    CONCLUSION

The Day of Reckoning is not a scare tactic; it is a spiritual wake-up call. The question is not if you will give account, but how you will give account.

    Will God say:

“Well done, good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:21)
    Or will you hear:
    “Depart from me” (Matthew 7:23)?

Today is the opportunity for repentance. Tomorrow may be the report.

    ALTAR CALL

If you know your life is not aligned with God, now is the acceptable time.

“Behold, now is the day of salvation.” – 2 Corinthians 6:2

    In your heart and say:
"Lord Jesus, forgive me. Cleanse me. Help me to live ready for eternity. I surrender my life to You. Amen."

    CLOSING PRAYER

Lord, teach us to number our days, to walk in wisdom, and to live each moment with eternity in view. Let us not be ashamed on the Day of Reckoning. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
