    Ezekiel 20 takes us through Israel’s painful history of rebellion—from Egypt, through the wilderness, and into the Promised Land. Again and again, God’s people turned toward idols and rejected His commands. Yet one phrase keeps appearing: God acted for the sake of His name.

    This chapter is a powerful reminder that God’s patience should never be mistaken for permission. His grace does not make sin insignificant—it should lead us to repentance.

    The question Ezekiel 20 leaves us with is deeply personal:

    Are we genuinely seeking God, or are we asking Him to approve a life we have not fully surrendered to Him?

    Read the new blog as we explore Ezekiel 20: When God Confronts a History of Rebellion and discover what this chapter teaches about obedience, idolatry, judgment, grace, and the faithfulness of God.

  • SERMON TITLE: "Hear the Son in the Last Age"
    Key Texts: Hebrews 1:1-2, John 3:30, Acts 26:16, Joel 2:28-31, Revelation 1:1, Proverbs 29:18

    INTRODUCTION
    We are in the last days. Hebrews 1:2 — “in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son.”

    God showed me 3 VISIONS: Red 7 in the sky, Green 7 on the wall, then a skeleton.
    But I’m not here to make you stare at visions. I’m here as a servant to do 2 things:
    Feed His sheep with truth
    Testify to what I have seen Him — Acts 26:16

    And the one point is: John 3:30 — “He must increase, but I must decrease.”
    So today: Don’t look at the sign. Hear the Son.

    1. HEAR THE SON: GOD IS SPEAKING NOW
    Joel 2:28 — “I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams.”
    Revelation 1:1 — “The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants...”

    The visions are not the message. The Son is.
    RED 7 VISION in the sky = The blood of Jesus. The work is finished. The time is complete.

    GREEN 7 VISION on the wall = Life from the Spirit. God wants to restore His house.

    SKELETON VISION= What’s left when we ignore the Son. Death. Ezekiel 37:11

    Proverbs 29:18 — “Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint, but blessed is he who keeps the law.”
    God gives vision so we don’t wander. But the vision’s purpose is to bring us back to the Word and to obey the Son.

    If we chase the vision and miss the Voice, we miss everything.

    2. SPIRITUAL RENEWAL + REVIVAL: COME BACK TO THE WORD
    Joel 2:29 — “Even on the male and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit.”

    Revival is not hype. It’s when the Spirit brings us back to Jesus.
    Psalm 51:10 — “Renew a right spirit within me.”
    The Spirit’s job is to testify of Christ. John 15:26

    So when God speaks through visions, He’s saying: “Come back to My Word. Come back to My Son.”

    3. REPENTANCE + OBEDIENCE = LIFE + PURITY AS WE WAIT
    Joel 2:31 — “before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes.”
    The day is near. So what do we do?

    Acts 3:19 — “Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out.”
    John 14:23 — “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word.”
    1 Peter 1:15-16 — “be holy in all your conduct, for I am holy.”
    1 John 3:3 — “everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.”

    We wait for Jesus not by watching the sky, but by washing in the Word and walking in obedience.
    Matthew 24:44 — “Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming...”

    4. THE WITNESS: DECREASE SO HE INCREASES
    Am Reagan a servant & a witness of Jesus appointed by Jesus himself to feed his sheep with truth of His revelation ( word) & warning from visions He showed to last age.

    And to testify of the things ( visions)Has shown me unto living ones in this last age.
    Acts 26:16 — “appoint you as a servant and witness to the things in which you have seen me.”

    My calling is not a title. It’s to testify.
    And the testimony must always end at the cross.
    Revelation 19:10 — “The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

    CLOSING CALL + PRAYER
    Don’t leave here talking about Red 7 or Green 7.
    Leave here with one question answered: Have I heard the Son and obeyed Him?

    Prayer:
    Father, speak. We are listening.
    Forgive us for chasing signs and missing You.
    Pour Your Spirit. Renew us. Give us repentant hearts and obedient feet.
    Wash us and make us pure as we wait for Jesus.
    Let Jesus increase in us. In His Name, Amen. Revelation 22:20

    Summary to Remember
    Visions → to get our attention
    The Son → to get our obedience
    Result → Awakening, Renewal, Repentance, Purity, Readiness

    Proverbs 29:18 — Without God’s vision people run wild. But with His vision we keep His law and we are blessed.

    Living in the Power of God's Spirit

    In Acts 19, Paul arrived in Ephesus and met a group of disciples who had not yet fully understood the work of the Holy Spirit. After teaching them about Jesus Christ and baptizing them in His name, Paul laid his hands on them, and the Holy Spirit came upon them. This event demonstrated God's presence and confirmed His work among these believers as the gospel continued to spread.

    The central truth of this passage is not the outward signs themselves but the transforming presence of the Holy Spirit in the lives of God's people. From the beginning of the church, the Holy Spirit empowered believers to live boldly, faithfully, and effectively for Christ.

    For believers today, every follower of Jesus is called to live in daily dependence on the Holy Spirit. He gives wisdom, strength, comfort, and power to obey God's Word and to be faithful witnesses for Christ. Rather than relying on our own abilities, we can trust the Spirit to guide and equip us each day.

    Reflection Questions

    1. Am I depending on the Holy Spirit in my daily walk with God?

    2. In what areas do I need God's strength instead of my own?

    3. How can I be more sensitive to the Spirit's leading?

    Prayer

    Lord God, thank You for giving Your Holy Spirit to guide and strengthen Your people. Help me to depend on You each day instead of my own understanding. Fill my life with Your wisdom, power, and love so that I may faithfully serve You and glorify Your name. In Jesus name Amen.

    Practical Application

    ● Begin each day by asking the Holy Spirit to guide you.

    ● Trust God's strength when facing difficult situations.

    ● Look for opportunities to serve others through the Spirit's leading.

    Takeaway Thought

    A life surrendered to the Holy Spirit is a life empowered to glorify Christ.

    Obedience • Wisdom • Protection

    ANCHOR SCRIPTURE

    Proverbs 19:16 (KJV) “He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul; but he that despiseth his ways shall die.”

    1. OBEDIENCE PROTECTS YOU

    Many troubles come from ignoring instructions.

    Don't break the rules and blame the consequences.

    2. RESPECT THE PROTOCOL

    Every area of life has rules and procedures—family, marriage, church, work, business and society.

    Following the right process can save you: Time • Money • Relationships • Reputation

    Proverbs 18:13 (KJV) “He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.”

    Listen → Understand → Follow instructions → Act wisely.

    4. RESPECT LEGITIMATE AUTHORITY

    Respecting authority brings order.

    But don't follow blindly. When human instructions conflict with God's Word: Obey God first.

    5. FOLLOW GOD'S PROTOCOL

    Deuteronomy 10:12 (KJV) “...what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways...”

    God's Word should guide your decisions.

    2. Follow instructions.
    3. Respect boundaries.
    4. Honour legitimate authority.
    5. Think before acting.

    Obedience is not weakness; it is wisdom in action.

    Respect the protocol.
    Follow the instruction.
    Avoid unnecessary trouble.

    SHORT PRAYER

    Father, give me wisdom to understand and obey Your instructions. Help me respect legitimate authority, follow wise counsel and avoid unnecessary trouble. Give me humility to accept correction and discipline to do what is right. In Jesus' name, Amen.

    INTRODUCTION
    Church, we are living in the last age.
    God is speaking again — Hebrews 1:2 — “but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son.”
    And He is still pouring out His Spirit — Joel 2:28 — “your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams.”

    The Lord showed me 3 things( visions): Red 7 in the sky, Green 7 on the wall, and then a skeleton after they vanished.
    I’m not here to be called a title. I’m here for one reason: John 3:30 — “He must increase, but I must decrease.”
    I am a servant to feed His sheep truth. A witness to testify to what I have seen Him.
    And the message is for you now: Awaken. Renew. Repent. Obey. Be pure. Jesus is coming.

    1. AWAKENING: HEAR THE SON-- GOD IS SPEAKING THROUGH THE SON.

    Revelation 1:1 — “The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants the things that must soon take place.”

    Proverbs29:18 .. ' without visions people perish."

    MESSAGE of the Red 7 vision in the sky — Red speaks of blood. 7 speaks of completion.
    This is heaven’s warning: The blood of Jesus has finished the work, and the time is complete. Joel 2:30-31 — “wonders in heavens... before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes.”
    God is saying: Wake up. The Judge is at the door. James 5:9

    We cannot sleep in sin when heaven is writing in the sky.
    Romans 13:11 — “it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.”

    2. RENEWAL & REVIVAL: LIFE ON THE WALL
    Green 7 vision on the wall — Green is life, growth, restoration. The wall is God’s house, the boundary of His people. Ezekiel 22:30 — “I sought for a man among them who should build up the wall and stand in the breach.”

    God is calling for renewal. Not new methods. New hearts.
    Psalm 51:10 — “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.”
    Ezekiel 37:4 — “Prophesy to these bones... O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.”

    This is revival: When God’s Word brings life back to dead places.
    But it only comes when we return to the Word and the Spirit. Zechariah 4:6 — “Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord.”

    3. REPENTANCE & OBEDIENCE: OR THE SKELETON REMAINS
    Skeleton vision. ,after they vanished. skeleton vision— When the warning of blood and the offer of life are ignored, what’s left is death.
    Ezekiel 37:11 — “These bones are the whole house of Israel. Behold, they say, ‘Our bones are dried up.’”

    This is the danger of the last age: Religious, but dead. Revelation 3:1 — “You have a reputation that you are alive, but you are dead.”

    The answer is not more activity. It’s repentance.
    Acts 3:19 — “Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out.”
    John 14:23 — “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word.”

    Obedience is proof of love. Purity is proof of waiting.
    1 John 3:3 — “And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.”
    1 Peter 1:15-16 — “As he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct.”

    4. THE WITNESS: TESTIFY OF HIM, NOT OF SELF
    Acts 26:16 — “I have appeared to you for this purpose, to appoint you as a servant and witness to the things in which you have seen me.”

    This is my calling in the last age. Not platforms. Not titles. Witnesses.
    Revelation 19:10 — “The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

    Every vision, every warning, every sermon must point to Jesus.
    John 3:30 — “He must increase, but I must decrease.”
    If people leave remembering me, I failed. If they leave hungry for Jesus, I succeeded.

    Matthew 24:44 — “Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”

    APPLICATION: 4 STEPS TO BE READY
    Awaken - Get out of spiritual sleep. Watch and pray. Mark 13:33

God is speaking again — Hebrews 1:2 — “but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son.” And He is still pouring out His Spirit — Joel 2:28 — “your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams.” The Lord showed me 3 things( visions): Red 7 in the sky, Green 7 on the wall, and then a skeleton after they vanished. I’m not here to be called a title. I’m here for one reason: John 3:30 — “He must increase, but I must decrease.” I am a servant to feed His sheep truth. A witness to testify to what I have seen Him. Joel 2:30-31 — “wonders in heavens... before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes.” God is saying: Wake up. The Judge is at the door. James 5:9 We cannot sleep in sin when heaven is writing in the sky. Romans 13:11 — “it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.” 2. JESUS: THE WORD WHO BECAME FLESH

    TEXT: JOHN 1:1–18

    KEY VERSE:

    «“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us...” — John 1:14 (KJV)»

    John 1 opens the Gospel with one of the greatest truths in all Scripture: Jesus Christ is the eternal Word of God.

    Before Bethlehem, He was.

    Before the beginning of creation, He was.

    He was with God, and He was God. Through Him all things were made, and in Him was life.

    John does not begin by telling us about Jesus' birth. He takes us beyond Bethlehem and reveals His eternal identity.

    Jesus is not merely a good teacher, prophet, or religious leader. He is the Son of God, the eternal Word, the Light of the world, and the Saviour of mankind.

    THREE LESSONS FROM JOHN 1

    JESUS IS THE WORD AND HE IS GOD.

    John 1:1 declares:

    «“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”»

    Jesus did not begin when He was born in Bethlehem.

    He existed from eternity.

    This means our faith is not built around a mere human personality. It is built upon Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God.

    Therefore, when Jesus speaks, we should listen.

    When Jesus commands, we should obey.

    When Jesus calls, we should follow.

    JESUS IS THE LIGHT OF MEN.

    John 1:4–5 says:

    «“In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness...”»

    The world is filled with spiritual darkness, confusion, sin, fear, and deception.

    But Jesus came as the Light.

    Light reveals what darkness hides.

    Light gives direction.

    Light brings hope.

    Light exposes sin and points us toward righteousness.

    You may be walking through a dark season today, but darkness cannot overcome the Light of Christ.

    Don't run from Jesus when life becomes difficult.

    Run to the Light.

    RECEIVE JESUS AND BECOME A CHILD OF GOD.

    John 1:11–12 says:

    «“He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God...”»

    Jesus came to His own people, yet many rejected Him.

    But the wonderful news is that everyone who receives Him by faith can become a child of God.

    Your background does not disqualify you.

    Your past does not have to define you.

    Your failures do not have to be your final story.

    Receive Christ. Believe in Him. Follow Him.

    In Christ, you can have a new identity and a new beginning.

    JESUS CAME TO DWELL AMONG US

    John 1:14 gives us the beautiful truth:

    «“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us...”»

    God came near.

    Jesus entered our world.

    He experienced human life and revealed the glory of God among humanity.

    The God we worship is not distant from our struggles.

    Jesus understands suffering.

    He understands rejection.

    He understands temptation.

    He understands human weakness.

    And yet He remained without sin.

    He came near so that we could come near to God.

    BE A WITNESS FOR THE LIGHT

    John also introduces us to John the Baptist, who came as a witness to the Light.

    John 1:7 says:

    «“The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.”»

    John the Baptist understood his assignment.

    He was not the Light.

    He came to point people to the Light.

    That is also our responsibility as believers.

    We are not called to draw attention to ourselves.

    We are called to point people to Jesus.

    At home, point people to Jesus.

    At work, point people to Jesus.

    Among your friends, point people to Jesus.

    On social media, point people to Jesus.

    Through your character and conduct, let people see the difference Christ makes.

    JESUS MUST INCREASE IN OUR LIVES

    John the Baptist later declared:

    «“He must increase, but I must decrease.” — John 3:30»

    This should also be our prayer.

    Less of self.

    More of Christ.

    Less pride.

    More humility.

    Less worldly influence.

    More of God's Word.

    Less compromise.

    More holiness.

    The more Jesus increases in us, the more His light shines through us.

    ✍🏽 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

    Jesus is the Light that darkness cannot overcome. Receive Him, follow Him, and let His light shine through your life.

    🏽 PRAYER

    Heavenly Father,

    Thank You for sending Jesus Christ, the eternal Word, the Light of the world, and the Saviour of mankind.

    Open my heart to know Jesus more deeply. Help me to receive Him, believe His Word, and faithfully follow Him.

    Let the light of Christ shine in every area of my life. Remove every form of spiritual darkness, sin, confusion, and compromise.

    Help me, like John the Baptist, to be a faithful witness who points others to Jesus.

    May Christ increase in my life while self decreases. Let my words, actions, character, and lifestyle bring glory to Your name.

    Thank You for making it possible for me to become Your child through faith in Jesus Christ.

    In Jesus' mighty name, Amen. 🏽

  • Good morning, brethren.
    1. Morning devotion for today.

    1. MD.i. MORNING TEA
    THE WORD FOR TODAY
    TUESDAY AUGUST 18, 2O26.
    "DR. JAMES DOBSON ON PARENTING (3)"

    ‘…Bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.’ Ephesians 6:4 NIV

    WHEN ASKED, ‘How do you suggest parents handle their children’s activities on web sites like Facebook and Twitter?’ Dr. Dobson gave this advice: ‘Parents have to know what technology their kids are using. Sexting is a terrible thing. (‘Sexting’ is the new term for children exposing themselves to one another online, thinking they are safe because they are in the sanctuary of their own home.) Pornography is pervasive, and parents need to keep up with changes in technology and protect their kids. That’s a tough assignment, because kids are ahead of them. Parents often have extremely demanding careers and when they come home they have nothing left to give, so the culture will often take your kids to hell.’ One night a father and his daughter were out on a lake when their small boat was caught in a storm. As he rowed, Dad kept saying to his daughter, ‘Can you see the shore? Can you see the shore?’ After a terrifying hour the little girl pointed over her dad’s shoulder and said, ‘Yes, I see the light. Mum said if we were out after dark she would hang a light in the window.’ When they finally got home a tearful mother hugged her husband and daughter, and thanked God for their safe return. Looking at her, the little girl said, ‘Mum, you never had to worry. We steered by your light!’ Parent, your children are being caught in life’s storms. They are rowing in the dark with no sense of direction. Live for God, and give them a light they can steer by!

    *THIRSTING AFTER GOD*

    *TEXT:* PSALM 42:1-5.

    1As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
    2 My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?
    3 My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God?
    4 When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday.
    5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.

    *Timeless Truth:*_"O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;"_ Psalm 63:1).

    *INTRODUCTION*

    When a man ceases to experience thirst, he is as good as dead. The same is true in the spiritual. In fact, one of the first experiences of a converted man is thirst for God and spiritual things. Spiritual thirst is a deep longing for God and His presence. Just as the body cannot survive without water, the soul cannot flourish without God. The psalmist expresses an intense desire for the living God despite the pain, tears, discouragement and difficult circumstances surrounding him. His experience teaches us that genuine faith does not mean the absence of trouble; rather, it means learning to seek God even in the midst of trouble. When everything else fails, God remains the only lasting satisfaction for the thirsty soul.

    *1. Thirsting After God Like a Hart*

    a. The psalmist declares, *“As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.”* A thirsty hart desperately seeks water because its survival depends upon it. Many are thirsty for wealth, pleasure, popularity, power and pride of life among others. The thirst makes them pay a heavy price to get what they are looking for. At times they pay the ultimate price. True thirst will always be demonstrated by desperate seeking for how to satisfy and quench the thirst. In the same vein, many commonly seek God's blessings without seeking for the God of the blessings. The psalmist case was different. *"So panteth my soul after thee"*. Who and what you are passionately and desperately seeking for is a reflection of the state of your heart. In the same manner, the believer should have an earnest and persistent longing for God. The psalmist does not merely desire God's gifts; he desires God Himself.
    b. His greatest hunger is to *“appear before God.”* He was thirsty to become closer to God. Jesus also echoed this when He said, *"seek ye first the kingdom of God and its righteousness"*. Our ultimate purpose for seeking God was to see His glory, be conformed to His image and be always ready for the kingdom of God. Jesus further assured that *"all other things shall be added unto you"*. The psalmist demonstrated his thirst for God when he decided, *"early will I seek thee...to see thy power and thy glory as I have seen thee in the sanctuary"* (Psalm 63:1,2). Our spiritual lives become weak when our desire for God is replaced by the pursuit of worldly pleasures, possessions, recognition or human approval. Genuine revival begins when the soul cries out for God's presence, His Word, His holiness and fellowship with Him.

    *Question*

    Is my desire for God as deep and urgent as the thirst of a hart for water?

    *2. Tearful Afflictions Giving Loss of Hope*

    a. Incidentally, the psalmist did not prioritize seeking for heavenly blessings above seeking for God just because everything was going well with him. In fact, the psalmist's circumstances have become so painful that his tears have been his food day and night. He was not finding it rosy in life at that time. One would have expected him, as many worshippers do today, to concentrate on seeking God for release from pains and troubles as priority. Worse still, people around him mockingly asked, directly and indirectly, *“Where is thy God?”.* His memories of former worship and joyful fellowship with God's people intensify his present sorrow. Yet that did not distract his affections towards God.
    b. At times, affliction can attack not only our circumstances, but also our emotions and confidence. Yet the psalmist's tears reveal that God's children may experience seasons of deep discouragement without being abandoned by God. His pain was real, but it did not have the final word. Even when circumstances seem to contradict God's promises, faith must continue to look toward Him. Seeking God and His righteousness, above all else, should not be diminished as a result of our pains, problems, persecutions and poverty among others. Whatever be our situations, the promises of God that *"all other blessings shall be added"* still stand as long as we keep seeking the face and the glory of God to be reflected in our lives above all else. We must have grace to be tougher than our tough challenges. It is our attitude and the content of our prayers in the time of distress and difficulties that reflect the genuineness of our love for God. Jesus Christ, while on the cross and under intense pains, was still consecrated to soulwinning and intercessory prayers for the sinners and the lost. The will of God and the glory of God was His priority. He has given us examples to follow.

    *Question*

    Am I consecrated to seek God and His glory as priority when affliction and tears surround me?

    *3. Trust in Abiding Grace with a Life of Holiness*

    When passing through tough times, we must maintain trust in God's abundant grace and continue to live the life that God approves. There is no challenge we pass through that God has not allowed and if God allowed it, then He will see us through as children. The act of faith is in mocking those challenges and still continues seeking the glory of God and heavenly readiness. We must learn how to feed our frustrations and fruitlessness with the word of hope and promises given by God. The psalmist speaks directly to his troubled soul: *“Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God.”* He refuses to surrender permanently to despair. Instead, he deliberately redirects his heart toward God. Trusting God's abiding grace means choosing hope when feelings say there is no hope. It also means continuing to live faithfully, before God while waiting for His intervention. A thirsty soul must not only seek God's presence, but also remain committed to a holy life. God's grace sustains us, restores our joy and enables us to praise Him even before our circumstances change. For a child of God, no bad situation is permanent, but temporary and for a moment. *"weeping may endure for the night, but joy cometh in the morning"*.

    *Question*

    Am I deliberately trusting God's abiding grace and maintaining a holy life even when my circumstances are discouraging?

    *Prayer Points*

    1.Father, create within me an unquenchable thirst for Your presence and Your Word .
    2.Lord, strengthen me when tears, afflictions and discouragement threaten my faith .
    3.Father, make me tougher than my challenges and keep me on being engaged in Your service .
    4.Lord, visit and help those brethren who are carrying heavy loads and sustain them by Your grace .

    *DOUSING DESPONDENCY* 🫵🏽🏽‍🏽‍🏽🏽‍🏽

    ```TEXT:PSALM 42:1-5```
    ```KEY VERSE:``` _*"Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance" (PSALM 42:5).*_

    *As German bombs fell on England during _World War II,_ the situation became desperate. Hearts were filled with discouragement and thoughts of defeat. Then Winston Churchill's voice echoed over the radio. It inspired the nation and boosted morale among a people on the verge of giving up. On a spiritual level, believers find hope in God too, as they hear the voice that resonates through the pages of His Word. In moments of discouragement, Christians serve as a testimony to those who have never met God or heard His voice.*

    *David exemplifies this in our devotional text as he expresses acute hunger and "thirst for God, the living God". In his hopelessness, he recalled the exhilarating moments he had in God's house and presence. Reminiscences of the voice of joy and praise filled his soul. Awakened by the testimonies of God's faithfulness and the certainty of blessedness that flows from trust in God, he gladly addresses his soul and jerks back from the abyss of despondency.*

    *Are you troubled about any ugly situation or setback? Cheer up and look up! Here are gems and clues for you as a Christian pilgrim, who could, at times, be discouraged and cast down. Don't stay down. David didn't. He queried and counselled his soul. First is to know that neither discouragement nor despondency is a sign of weakness. Elijah is one biblical character who fits this description. After defeating the prophets of Baal, he received a death threat from Jezebel. His hope was shattered, and despondency set in. He wanted to die! The Lord did not rebuke him for his feelings but sent an angel to provide for his physical needs. In our times of discouragement, suicide is no option; it only leads to a more serious, endless and interminable suffering in hell. The present challenge or problem has not diminished God's love for us. He desires to lead us to a place of a renewed vision of His power!*

    *The time to exit the discouragement mode is now! Take the verifiable steps that effectively log you out, which include a deep, interminable longing for God. This is what Isaiah calls "waiting upon the Lord". Second, you will do well to consciously recall and delight in God's past acts of mercy, divine interventions, and faithfulness. Finally, you must deliberately seek the remedy of praise to uplift your downcast, crestfallen, and discouraged heart. Beloved, don't give in to despair! God will certainly lead you in paths of love, light and joy, where you will find new hope.*

    *The Christian liberty is the freedom Christ has purchased for the children of God through His death on the Cross of Calvary. The devil fights this liberty in diverse ways. When young Christians fail to understand their liberty in Christ, the devil keeps reminding them about their past sins to create major stumbling blocks to their prayers.*

    *It is a common strategy of the devil to manipulate them and push them back into their shells. Once you are born again through genuine repentance, you have the liberty to serve God in truth and in Spirit because God does not give us the spirit of fear but He gives us the Spirit of power and of a sound mind.*

    *When God has forgiven you, you are justified by faith and no longer bound to the yoke of sin. However, this liberty is not a guarantee to continue in sins, believing the erroneous doctrine of eternal security. Apostle Paul warns: "For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another" (Galatians 5:13).*

    ```Key Verse:``` _*"Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve" (Matthew 4:10).*_
    Jesus has power and authority over Satan, and He always uses them at the appropriate time. In this situation, Jesus did not hesitate to command Satan to get behind Him. Satan knew that Jesus is over and above him, yet he tempted Christ to bow down in worship to him. Can the master bow to worship his servant? No! Jesus cannot, will not, and did not bow to Satan.
    As a friend of Jesus, you must know who you are in Christ. You are a joint-heir with Christ. What Jesus has is what you have because of the privilege of sonship. Do not throw your costly apparels (Christian experiences) to the dogs. The things of this world as stated in 1 John 2:15-17 will pass away.
    Let the love of God and the things of eternal value be uppermost in your heart. Do not yield to the enticement and allurement that your friends are using to deceive you. The fashions of the world may look attractive, but they will soon pass away. Do not follow them. Do not seek to please the world. Strive to please only God.
    *Jesus has set the example of refusing to bow to Satan in order to show us that we can be victorious. You can do likewise. Become His friend if you are not, follow Him faithfully and consistently, and He will give you the grace to overcome Satan.*
    2. Morning Prayer for today.
    MP.i. Morning Prayer
    Thou wilt keep Moses Ishaku in perfect peace, [whose] mind [is] stayed [on thee]: because he trusteth in thee. ⏤ Isaiah 26:3
    Trust the past to God's mercy, the present to God's love, and the future to God's providence. ⏤ St. Augustine
    Father, days come and go, bringing change and decay, but You remain the same forever. A thousand years in Your sight are like a single day. With You, there is no past or future; all time is present to You. Yet in our small lives, we need daily blessings. The memories of our past sorrows cast shadows on our present, and our fears for the future often cast shadows on our path.
    We are grateful that You see and know everything—past, present, and future—and that we can safely leave it all in Your hands. Help us to live faithfully in this little day that is ours, leaving the past and future with You, without worrying. So, we ask for Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, to guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, enabling us to be true and faithful in all our duties.
    We ask You, O Lord, to give us the strength and wisdom we need for today’s responsibilities and experiences. Let nothing surprise or dishearten us. Hold our hand through every situation. Give us wisdom to answer every question and make every decision in a way that pleases You. Strengthen us to resist temptation, no matter how subtly it approaches. Increase Your love within us so that we may be patient with everyone we meet, compassionate toward those who are sorrowful, cheerful with those who are discouraged, and helpful to those who are weak.
    Send us out to do Your work so that everything we do today is for You. Breathe upon us as we wait here in Your presence and give us Your blessing as our Father. We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
    Good morning, brethren. 1. Morning devotion for today. 1. MD.i. 😀💝🌺🎁🌹🎀 MORNING TEA THE WORD FOR TODAY TUESDAY AUGUST 18, 2O26. "DR. JAMES DOBSON ON PARENTING (3)" ‘…Bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.’ Ephesians 6:4 NIV WHEN ASKED, ‘How do you suggest parents handle their children’s activities on web sites like Facebook and Twitter?’ Dr. Dobson gave this advice: ‘Parents have to know what technology their kids are using. Sexting is a terrible thing. (‘Sexting’ is the new term for children exposing themselves to one another online, thinking they are safe because they are in the sanctuary of their own home.) Pornography is pervasive, and parents need to keep up with changes in technology and protect their kids. That’s a tough assignment, because kids are ahead of them. Parents often have extremely demanding careers and when they come home they have nothing left to give, so the culture will often take your kids to hell.’ One night a father and his daughter were out on a lake when their small boat was caught in a storm. As he rowed, Dad kept saying to his daughter, ‘Can you see the shore? Can you see the shore?’ After a terrifying hour the little girl pointed over her dad’s shoulder and said, ‘Yes, I see the light. Mum said if we were out after dark she would hang a light in the window.’ When they finally got home a tearful mother hugged her husband and daughter, and thanked God for their safe return. Looking at her, the little girl said, ‘Mum, you never had to worry. We steered by your light!’ Parent, your children are being caught in life’s storms. They are rowing in the dark with no sense of direction. Live for God, and give them a light they can steer by! Bible In A Year: Gen 6:9 – 8:4, Matt 24:37-51. [17/08, 9:11 pm] Pastor Attah: *MEDITATIONS ON DAILY ⓂANNA* TUESDAY, 18TH AUGUST, 2026. *THIRSTING AFTER GOD* *TEXT:* PSALM 42:1-5. 1As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. 2 My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God? 3 My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God? 4 When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday. 5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance. *Timeless Truth:*_"O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;"_ Psalm 63:1). *INTRODUCTION* When a man ceases to experience thirst, he is as good as dead. The same is true in the spiritual. In fact, one of the first experiences of a converted man is thirst for God and spiritual things. Spiritual thirst is a deep longing for God and His presence. Just as the body cannot survive without water, the soul cannot flourish without God. The psalmist expresses an intense desire for the living God despite the pain, tears, discouragement and difficult circumstances surrounding him. His experience teaches us that genuine faith does not mean the absence of trouble; rather, it means learning to seek God even in the midst of trouble. When everything else fails, God remains the only lasting satisfaction for the thirsty soul. *1. Thirsting After God Like a Hart* a. The psalmist declares, *“As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.”* A thirsty hart desperately seeks water because its survival depends upon it. Many are thirsty for wealth, pleasure, popularity, power and pride of life among others. The thirst makes them pay a heavy price to get what they are looking for. At times they pay the ultimate price. True thirst will always be demonstrated by desperate seeking for how to satisfy and quench the thirst. In the same vein, many commonly seek God's blessings without seeking for the God of the blessings. The psalmist case was different. *"So panteth my soul after thee"*. Who and what you are passionately and desperately seeking for is a reflection of the state of your heart. In the same manner, the believer should have an earnest and persistent longing for God. The psalmist does not merely desire God's gifts; he desires God Himself. b. His greatest hunger is to *“appear before God.”* He was thirsty to become closer to God. Jesus also echoed this when He said, *"seek ye first the kingdom of God and its righteousness"*. Our ultimate purpose for seeking God was to see His glory, be conformed to His image and be always ready for the kingdom of God. Jesus further assured that *"all other things shall be added unto you"*. The psalmist demonstrated his thirst for God when he decided, *"early will I seek thee...to see thy power and thy glory as I have seen thee in the sanctuary"* (Psalm 63:1,2). Our spiritual lives become weak when our desire for God is replaced by the pursuit of worldly pleasures, possessions, recognition or human approval. Genuine revival begins when the soul cries out for God's presence, His Word, His holiness and fellowship with Him. *Question* Is my desire for God as deep and urgent as the thirst of a hart for water? *2. Tearful Afflictions Giving Loss of Hope* a. Incidentally, the psalmist did not prioritize seeking for heavenly blessings above seeking for God just because everything was going well with him. In fact, the psalmist's circumstances have become so painful that his tears have been his food day and night. He was not finding it rosy in life at that time. One would have expected him, as many worshippers do today, to concentrate on seeking God for release from pains and troubles as priority. Worse still, people around him mockingly asked, directly and indirectly, *“Where is thy God?”.* His memories of former worship and joyful fellowship with God's people intensify his present sorrow. Yet that did not distract his affections towards God. b. At times, affliction can attack not only our circumstances, but also our emotions and confidence. Yet the psalmist's tears reveal that God's children may experience seasons of deep discouragement without being abandoned by God. His pain was real, but it did not have the final word. Even when circumstances seem to contradict God's promises, faith must continue to look toward Him. Seeking God and His righteousness, above all else, should not be diminished as a result of our pains, problems, persecutions and poverty among others. Whatever be our situations, the promises of God that *"all other blessings shall be added"* still stand as long as we keep seeking the face and the glory of God to be reflected in our lives above all else. We must have grace to be tougher than our tough challenges. It is our attitude and the content of our prayers in the time of distress and difficulties that reflect the genuineness of our love for God. Jesus Christ, while on the cross and under intense pains, was still consecrated to soulwinning and intercessory prayers for the sinners and the lost. The will of God and the glory of God was His priority. He has given us examples to follow. *Question* Am I consecrated to seek God and His glory as priority when affliction and tears surround me? *3. Trust in Abiding Grace with a Life of Holiness* When passing through tough times, we must maintain trust in God's abundant grace and continue to live the life that God approves. There is no challenge we pass through that God has not allowed and if God allowed it, then He will see us through as children. The act of faith is in mocking those challenges and still continues seeking the glory of God and heavenly readiness. We must learn how to feed our frustrations and fruitlessness with the word of hope and promises given by God. The psalmist speaks directly to his troubled soul: *“Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God.”* He refuses to surrender permanently to despair. Instead, he deliberately redirects his heart toward God. Trusting God's abiding grace means choosing hope when feelings say there is no hope. It also means continuing to live faithfully, before God while waiting for His intervention. A thirsty soul must not only seek God's presence, but also remain committed to a holy life. God's grace sustains us, restores our joy and enables us to praise Him even before our circumstances change. For a child of God, no bad situation is permanent, but temporary and for a moment. *"weeping may endure for the night, but joy cometh in the morning"*. *Question* Am I deliberately trusting God's abiding grace and maintaining a holy life even when my circumstances are discouraging? *Prayer Points* 1.Father, create within me an unquenchable thirst for Your presence and Your Word 🙏. 2.Lord, strengthen me when tears, afflictions and discouragement threaten my faith 🙏. 3.Father, make me tougher than my challenges and keep me on being engaged in Your service 🙏. 4.Lord, visit and help those brethren who are carrying heavy loads and sustain them by Your grace 🙏. *HYMN:* More of Jesus would I know *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* JOB 35-38. Hearts were filled with discouragement and thoughts of defeat. Then Winston Churchill's voice echoed over the radio. It inspired the nation and boosted morale among a people on the verge of giving up. On a spiritual level, believers find hope in God too, as they hear the voice that resonates through the pages of His Word. In moments of discouragement, Christians serve as a testimony to those who have never met God or heard His voice.* *David exemplifies this in our devotional text as he expresses acute hunger and "thirst for God, the living God". In his hopelessness, he recalled the exhilarating moments he had in God's house and presence. Reminiscences of the voice of joy and praise filled his soul. Awakened by the testimonies of God's faithfulness and the certainty of blessedness that flows from trust in God, he gladly addresses his soul and jerks back from the abyss of despondency.* *Are you troubled about any ugly situation or setback? Cheer up and look up! Here are gems and clues for you as a Christian pilgrim, who could, at times, be discouraged and cast down. Don't stay down. David didn't. He queried and counselled his soul. First is to know that neither discouragement nor despondency is a sign of weakness. Elijah is one biblical character who fits this description. After defeating the prophets of Baal, he received a death threat from Jezebel. His hope was shattered, and despondency set in. He wanted to die! The Lord did not rebuke him for his feelings but sent an angel to provide for his physical needs. In our times of discouragement, suicide is no option; it only leads to a more serious, endless and interminable suffering in hell. The present challenge or problem has not diminished God's love for us. He desires to lead us to a place of a renewed vision of His power!* *The time to exit the discouragement mode is now! Take the verifiable steps that effectively log you out, which include a deep, interminable longing for God. This is what Isaiah calls "waiting upon the Lord". Second, you will do well to consciously recall and delight in God's past acts of mercy, divine interventions, and faithfulness. Finally, you must deliberately seek the remedy of praise to uplift your downcast, crestfallen, and discouraged heart. Beloved, don't give in to despair! God will certainly lead you in paths of love, light and joy, where you will find new hope.* ✍🏽```THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:``` _*God always opens the window of hope for His own in the darkest of times.*_ 📜📜```THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:``` *JOB 35-38*📜📜 Dousing Despondency https://dailymanna.app// *RECOMMENDED GOSPEL HYMNS AND SONGS - GHS 1: ALL YOUR ANXIETY; GHS 3: IMPATIENT HEART, BE STILL; GHS 4: LEAVE IT THERE; GHS 5: NEVER GIVE UP; AND GHS 7: TURN YOUR EYES UPON JESUS* *TXD [THEXDEVOTIONALS] on Twitter* *#DailyManna18thAugust2026* *#GCK* *#WorshipNuggets* *#BibleNuggets* *#LeadershipNuggets* *#RevivalNuggets* *#CrusadeNuggets* https://www.youtube.com/[THEXDEVOTIONALS] [17/08, 9:11 pm] Pastor Attah: ```DEEPER CHRISTIAN LIFE MINISTRY``` _*HIGHER EVERYD🅰️Y: (A DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE FOR YOUTHS)*_ ✍🏽👩🏻‍💼🌻 🍇🙏🏽🛰🚀🔬📚 ```TUESDAY 18TH AUGUST, 2026``` *STAND IN CHRIST'S LIBERTY* 🎚️📓📖🫵🏽🙋🏽‍♂️🙋🏽‍♀️🧎🏽🧎🏽‍♀️🙏🏽🙌🏽 📜📜```TEXT:GALATIANS 5:1-13```📜📜 📖``` MEMORY VERSE:``` _*"For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another" (GALATIANS 5:13).*_ *The Christian liberty is the freedom Christ has purchased for the children of God through His death on the Cross of Calvary.     CONTEND FOR THE FAITH!
    TEXT: JUDE 1:1–25
    KEY VERSE:
    «“Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” — Jude 1:3 (KJV)»
    The Christian faith is precious, powerful, and worth defending. In his short but powerful letter, Jude warned believers about false teachers and ungodly influences that had entered among God's people.
    Jude's message is simple but urgent:
    DO NOT GIVE UP THE FAITH!
    We live in a world where truth is often questioned, biblical values are increasingly challenged, and many voices compete for our attention.
    But the believer is called to remain rooted in God's Word and to earnestly contend for the faith.
    THREE LESSONS FROM JUDE
    CONTEND FOR THE FAITH.
    Jude 1:3 says:
    «“...earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.”»
    To contend for the faith does not mean fighting people. It means standing firmly for the truth of God's Word.
    Don't abandon biblical truth because it is unpopular.
    Don't compromise your convictions because of pressure.
    Don't change God's standards simply because society has changed.
    Stand for Christ. Stand for truth. Stand for the Gospel.
    BEWARE OF UNGODLY INFLUENCES.
    Jude warned that certain ungodly people had secretly entered among the believers.
    Their presence was dangerous because they could influence others away from the truth.
    This teaches us that not every teaching, philosophy, lifestyle, or spiritual message should be accepted without examination.
    Test what you hear against Scripture.
    🏽 Ask God for discernment.
    Watch the influences around you.
    Protect your relationship with Christ.
    Be careful what you allow to shape your thinking.
    BUILD YOURSELF UP SPIRITUALLY.
    Jude 1:20–21 gives believers a powerful instruction:
    «“But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God...”»
    Notice the progression:
    Build yourself on the faith.
    🏽 Pray in the Holy Ghost.
    Keep yourself in God's love.
    Look for the mercy of Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
    A strong Christian life does not happen accidentally.
    You must intentionally develop your relationship with God.
    Pray.
    Study the Word.
    Worship.
    Obey God.
    Stay connected to Christ.
    DON'T COMPROMISE YOUR FAITH
    The pressure to compromise can come from many directions.
    Friends may pressure you.
    Society may pressure you.
    Relationships may pressure you.
    Entertainment may pressure you.
    Even people who claim to know God may pressure you.
    But remember:
    Your faith is more valuable than acceptance from people.
    Never exchange eternal truth for temporary popularity.
    Never exchange holiness for pleasure.
    Never exchange your relationship with Christ for worldly approval.
    HAVE MERCY ON THOSE WHO ARE STRUGGLING
    Jude does not only tell believers to defend the faith; he also teaches us how to respond to people who are struggling.
    Jude 1:22 says:
    «“And of some have compassion, making a difference.”»
    There are people who need correction, but they also need compassion.
    There are people who have wandered, but they can still be restored.
    There are people who are confused, but God can use you to lead them back to truth.
    Therefore, stand firmly for truth while showing the love of Christ.
    KEEP YOURSELF IN THE LOVE OF GOD
    Jude 1:21 says:
    «“Keep yourselves in the love of God...”»
    This does not mean that God's love is weak or that we must earn His love.
    It is a call to remain in fellowship and obedience to Him.
    Don't allow sin to become your lifestyle.
    Don't allow bitterness to occupy your heart.
    Don't allow worldly desires to take the place of Christ.
    Stay close to Jesus.
    GOD IS ABLE TO KEEP YOU
    The letter of Jude ends with one of the most beautiful declarations of God's power:
    «“Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy...” — Jude 1:24»
    What a powerful assurance!
    We are called to contend.
    We are called to watch.
    We are called to pray.
    We are called to remain faithful.
    But ultimately, God is the One who keeps us. 🏽
    When you feel weak, He can strengthen you.
    When you are tempted, He can help you.
    When you are discouraged, He can restore you.
    When you are struggling, He can keep you from falling.
    ✍🏽 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
    A believer who knows the value of the Gospel will stand firmly for the truth, walk faithfully with Christ, and never trade eternal truth for temporary approval.
    🏽 PRAYER
    Heavenly Father,
    Thank You for the precious gift of salvation and for the faith You have entrusted to us.
    Give me grace to earnestly contend for the faith. Help me to recognize false teachings and ungodly influences. Give me spiritual discernment to know what is true and courage to stand for Your Word.
    Build me up in my most holy faith. Teach me to pray consistently and keep me in Your love.
    Help me to show compassion to those who are struggling and to point them back to Jesus.
    Lord, keep me from falling. Preserve my faith, strengthen my walk, and help me remain faithful until the end.
    To You be glory, majesty, dominion, and power, both now and forever. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen. 🏽
