Church attendance, ministry involvement, biblical knowledge, giving, leadership positions, and years of Christian service are all valuable—but none of them can replace genuine obedience to God. EXHAUSTED—BUT STILL CHASING. He had been entrusted with the Gospel of the grace of God, and he believed that message was worth living for, suffering for, and even dying for. That same Gospel has been entrusted to followers of Jesus today. Grace tells us that we don't have to earn God's forgiveness. Jesus has already accomplished what we could never accomplish for ourselves. Through His death and resurrection, sinners can be forgiven, the broken can be restored, and those who were far from God can be brought near. Most of us may never be asked to die for the Gospel. God has already spoken. Our responsibility is to stand firmly on His Word while pointing people toward Jesus. And in a world where beliefs seem to change almost daily, the Church desperately needs Christians who are grounded, faithful, humble, loving, and unwilling to compromise the Gospel. The serpent does not win. Sin does not win. Death does not win. In Genesis 3, before the full consequences of the fall had even unfolded, God announced that a Deliverer would come. The serpent would strike His heel, but this promised Champion would crush the serpent’s head. That promise points us directly to Jesus. At the cross, what appeared to be defeat became victory. Jesus carried our sin, endured the suffering of Calvary, entered the grave—and then rose again. The heel was bruised. The serpent’s head was crushed. And that ancient promise still gives us hope today. When temptation comes, remember who has already won. When your past accuses you, remember the cross. When guilt overwhelms you, remember the grace of Christ. When life seems hopeless, remember the empty tomb. The battle is real, but its final outcome has already been decided. What have you already decided you will not compromise? Before the great public tests of his faith ever came, Daniel had already settled something in his heart: his loyalty belonged to God. That same decision matters for us today. Our culture constantly pressures us to blend in, stay quiet, lower our standards, and treat biblical conviction as unnecessary. But faithfulness to Christ means deciding that God’s Word will have greater authority in our lives than popularity, convenience, opportunity, or cultural approval. The small decisions matter. Truth matters.
Holiness matters.

What happens when spiritual leadership becomes more concerned with personal benefit than biblical truth? https://patrickryanlewis.com/2026/08/08/when-spiritual-leadership-becomes-corrupt-micah-3/ In Micah 3:5–8, God confronts false prophets whose message changed depending on what people gave them. When they benefited, they proclaimed peace. When they didn't, their message changed. Their ministry had become transactional. And that raises some important questions for us today: ➡️ What warning signs reveal that a spiritual leader is becoming more concerned with personal benefit than biblical truth? ➡️ Why is it dangerous when a teacher's message changes according to what people want to hear? ➡️ What does biblical courage actually look like? ➡️ How can we speak difficult truth with both courage and humility? Micah gives us a striking contrast between corrupted spiritual influence and faithful spiritual leadership. Power without justice can become abuse.
Courage without truth can become arrogance.

([A Guy And His Bible][1]) 🔥 **What if the assignment you are afraid to accept is the very assignment God will use to change someone’s life?** When we read Acts 9, our attention usually goes straight to Saul’s dramatic encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus. But behind Saul’s transformation stands an often-overlooked disciple named **Ananias**. Ananias wasn’t a famous apostle, influential leader, or powerful preacher. He was an ordinary believer who was listening when God called his name. And the assignment God gave him was terrifying: Go find Saul—the man who had been persecuting Christians—and minister to him. Salvation is God’s gift of eternal life, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Discipleship is the daily commitment to follow Jesus, obey His Word, surrender every area of our lives to Him, and become more like Him. In this video, we examine four important differences between salvation and discipleship: • Salvation is a gift; discipleship is a commitment.
• Salvation happens at conversion; discipleship happens daily.
• Salvation rests on what Christ has done; discipleship responds to what Christ says.
• Salvation changes our spiritual status; discipleship transforms our character. We are not saved because we follow Jesus perfectly. We are saved because of the finished work of Jesus Christ. However, those who have received His saving grace are called into a lifetime of following Him. Discipleship is not perfection—it is direction. It is a life that continually turns toward Jesus, even after failure. One of the greatest lessons we can learn in the Christian life is that contentment is not found in having more — it is found in knowing Christ. In Philippians 4:10–20, Paul reminds us that contentment is learned, generosity is worship, and God faithfully provides for His people. Our circumstances may change, but Christ never does. For a long time, video was one of the main ways I shared what God was placing on my heart. But over time, I began to sense a shift. Writing has given me space. Space to think. Space to breathe. Space to grow. Space to slow down and express things with greater clarity and purpose. This move from video to writing is not about stepping away from connection. It is about leaning into a new season of communication, stewardship, and obedience. Sometimes the most faithful next step is not doing more. Obedience to God does not always make life easier at first. Sometimes it stirs up opposition. Sometimes it exposes what people have been trusting in. Sometimes it forces us to choose between defending our idols or surrendering fully to the Lord. In Judges 6:28–35, Gideon obeyed God even though he was afraid. His obedience became a witness. His weakness became a platform for God’s power. What began with a torn-down altar became the beginning of deliverance. Maybe you feel weak. Maybe you feel afraid. Maybe you feel unlikely. But God does not need the strongest person in the room. He is still able to clothe weakness with His power and use obedience as a testimony. Have you ever asked God to use your life while still holding on to something He has already asked you to surrender? In Judges 6:19–27, before Gideon ever faced Midian, God first called him to tear down the altar of Baal in his own household. Victory did not begin on the battlefield. It began with surrender. This passage reminds us that God often tears down idols before He builds leaders. He gives peace before victory, courage through obedience, and freedom through repentance.
